What's the odd symbol you've been sporting lately? This one:
Math notation, the symbol is called 'Not a superset of'. 'Not a subset of' is the mirror image of it but looks too similar to the American penny symbol.

Ctrl+Shift -then- U -then- 2 -then- 2 -then- 8 -then- 5
You should take a look at the Byzantine Musical Symbols.
502  Other / Off-topic / Re: Did Muhammad a.k.a Mohammed actually exist ? on: May 01, 2012, 09:16:55 PM
@girlsgonebitcoin  You should watch this History Channel special about Muhhamad:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4EL8RVDD_c

Proof for the existence of Muhammad is available from the Orthodox Church he took refuge in when the Arabs tried to kill him at the beginning of his ministry.

Personally, I believe that Muhammad was possessed by an evil spirit during his meditation while in a cave.

Muhammad is the tree and Islam is the fruit of Muhammads labor. You can tell a tree by it's fruit. Good and evil are the fruits of the tree.

Proof that Jesus lived, died and was resurrected exists via the Garden Tomb and Golgotha. Roman inscriptions in a cave ,dated to the 1st century, mocking Jesus on the cross by showing him having a horse head.
(Does that mean MNW is the second coming in the flesh?)
Proof that Moses did exist, though their dating is incorrect, is available at the Red Sea crossing and the mountain onto which God descended as fire in Midian (Saudi Arabia).
Proof that Noah did exist, his boat was discovered in Turkey, there's a visitor center and everything. http://www.arkdiscovery.com/noah's_ark.htm
Proof that Lot did exist and the proof of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah exists.

More proof of Biblical events taking place await your research @ http://www.biblicalarchaeology.org/biblehistorydaily/

504  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Pool average weekly hashrates on: May 01, 2012, 07:27:39 PM
It'd be interesting to somehow compare the average hashrate to the pool payouts.  See if there are any pools that are consistently paying out less than the others with regards to a payout/hashrate ratio.

I suppose it would require a miner to be pointed at each pool, and assume all else being equal.
Doesn't require mining, only a calculator, provided the pools post enough stats to make calculations.

Quote from: ssateneth
1 share ≈ 2^32 hashes or 4294.967296 megahashes
60*60*24 seconds in a day = 86,400 seconds/day
1010MH/sec = 87,264,000 Megahashes/day

Shares/day = (MHash/day) / (Megahashes/share)
Shares/day = 87264000 / 4294.967296
Shares/day ≈ 20317.73
Payout/day = 20317.73 * 0.00003 Bitcoins/share
Payout/day = 0.60953199 Bitcoins
Above, the Payout Per Share is .00003

Eclipse has a 12% better payout currently over Ozcoin, while Eligius doesn't publish, that I could find, average shares round.

{Pools total mega hashes} * 86,400 / 4294.967296 * nPPS / {Pools total Gigahashes} = ⊅BTC per GH/s per day
nPPS can be any reasonable arbitrary value, .00003 can be used. It won't represent actual payouts just differences between pools.
505  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Funds “frozen” in TyGrr-Bot’s MtGox account. on: May 01, 2012, 06:15:40 PM
The facts:
1. Chang-noi was attempting to link 2 identities to one account and contacted Mt. Gox support via IRC for how to proceed
2. Mt. Gox allowed and instructed identity 2 to setup and then assisted to get AML approval
3. Identity 1 or 2 attempted to transfer funds to identity 2's account
4. Then and only then did Mt. Gox react to a potential illegal action

While much can be assumed as to why Mt. Gox allowed the situation to escalate to an account achieving frozen status, it is clear from what the OP posted, Mt. Gox failed to ask proper follow up questions during the initial support incident. Had Mt. Gox asked a few more questions they could have prevented any interruption in service of the customers account. Mt. Gox failed to act responsibly early on and had allowed a situation to escalate until frozen funds were the result. Mt. Gox had a mental pause moment and they should work to restore the account to the previous conditions before the incident and apologize for the failure on their part to clarify the correct legal requirements limiting such account activity.

Both parties are guilty of acting irresponsibly carrying out business transactions in a manner that is uncommon to standard business practices employed by the majority of legitimate businesses acting responsibly.
506  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER GPU FPGA overclock monitor fanspeed GCN RPC linux/windows/osx 2.3.6 on: May 01, 2012, 05:04:13 PM
Using cgminer 2.3.2
Cgminer hangs or freezes, the curl display is unresponsive not accepting any keyboard commands, mining has stopped, system is not frozen or locked up.
What is the recommended method to start up mining again?
Is it OK to 'kill <cgminer pid>' before starting a new session?

As well as, if I read it right, the payouts were to two different non-contiguous continents also. You'd typically expect spouses to have their accounts within the same geographic region, so this would count as another red flag, begging to be verified.

-- Smoov

You forget the part where they asked Mt. Gox first before they did anything, Mt. Gox said it's OK, then after they made the transaction decided it was illegal and froze the account. WTF!

Where is the documentation of that in the OP?  I did not see that.
I can't explain your inability to comprehend what you read nor can I determine which portions you did not read. Try P3 for a start.

So just after,
Code:
def got_response(header, request):
                    assert header['merkle_root'] == merkle_root

                    header_hash = bitcoin_data.hash256(bitcoin_data.block_header_type.pack(header))
                    pow_hash = net.PARENT.POW_FUNC(bitcoin_data.block_header_type.pack(header))
                    on_time = current_work.value['best_share_hash'] == share_info['share_data']['previous_share_hash']

you replace the existing 'try:' and 'except:' sections with your code?
I was looking through the diff stuff with the hex addresses goin  Huh.

If we use it should we comment it with credit to JayCoin?

Suggestions:
Would you add ⊅BTC paid out per 24 hours, ⊅BTC paid out total?
On the current miners page maybe list firstbits instead of full addresses? (So more stats can fit. Cheesy )
Would it be possible to have a subpool subsidy that a 6 GH miner could donate to those under 1 GH?
Do you plan on having a drawing to give away a 5830 or 6870 for the subpool hashers who have hashed for at least, say one week between date to date?
513  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Date for 25 BTC per Block on: April 30, 2012, 09:19:52 PM
Some people do use rss readers to keep track of their favorite threads on forums. You might understand when you use something like Liferea or RSSowl. When providing tech support to those in trouble, a feed reader is a must.

What is your cgminer command line eroxors?

A sample similar to mine:

$ sudo ./cgminer -o http://p2pmining.com:9332 -u ⊅BTC Address -p relacks -I 6 -g 1 -k phatk -v 2 -w 128  --auto-fan --temp-target 68 --gpu-engine 875 --gpu-mem 250

The bold items, for p2pool, are required to be less than what would be set when used for other pools. In other pools threads, -g can be set to 2 or more. Intensity needs to be lowered until you find good results starting at 8 for p2pool.

Do you guys argue like this only to keep CGMiner as the top thread posting? You guys sound like either side of a Miller Lite commercial; crowd A: Great Taste! Crowd B: Less Filling!, then begin to look like a fight is about to occur over different perspectives for the same beer.  Roll Eyes
516  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Funds “frozen” in TyGrr-Bot’s MtGox account. on: April 30, 2012, 04:25:42 PM
@Goat : You need to set up a company (a legal entity, so both you and your wife are shareholders, worse case a joint account. This way you could have used a single MTGox account with your wife. Just say sorry to MtGox and ask them to fund back the money into the bot account. And wire into your's wife account. I don't think challenging them right now will do any good for anyone.

I don't know about international laws, but in US husband and wife are two different legal entities. Meaning my wife cannot do anything with an account under my name.

This is off topic as well as wrong.

That's a state, not federal issue.  In most jurisdictions in the US, spouses are considered part of the single entity for LLCs.
You are wrong. vampire is on topic and is making sensible suggestions in the right direction.

Adding to vampires line of thought; It is usually good business practice and sensible accounting to have a business banking account being operated as Tygrr-Bot, into which Mt. Gox Tygrr-Bot account funds get transferred into. Then from Tygrr-Bot business bank account all employees and share holders can receive payments or transfers.

That's a great price but is pretty limited for anyone wanting to expand beyond 2 cards. You don't want anything else on the same molex to pcie line as a video card, especially if your overclocking. I like that it has a single rail and is 80 plus though. Do they accept Bitcoins? Cheesy

I'd like to reduce stales/DOA for p2pool, rejected shares and Longpolling (hardware errors are zero). Is this more a combination of engine/mem, gpu threads, intensity, vectors, and worksize rather than a specific kernel?
There is only one phatk in cgminer and it's called -k phatk, and it's actually phatk2.2 as you would know it. If you do not specify anything, it is chosen by default on pretty much all 5X and 6X cards with any SDK before 2.6. If you have 5X cards, STICK TO AN OLDER SDK, 2.1, 2.4 or 2.5 and let it choose phatk.
Thanks. Maybe because someone says you must use the phatk2 kernel in cgminer I became confused because of the 3 .bin files labled phatk120223bart.....8l8.bin and the 1 phatk .cl file, assuming, because there are 4 phatk files, I could migrate to another kernel that might offer different performance.

To do the best with p2pool, read the readme.
But is intensity and threads the only factors that will increase how many BTC my system will generate with p2pool? Can a particular mem clock frequency affect how much BTC is produce in p2pool?
519  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER GPU FPGA overclock monitor fanspeed GCN RPC linux/windows/osx 2.3.6 on: April 30, 2012, 10:58:02 AM
/**FPGA's will not take over once I release my Zero-Point Energy Generator. The enrergy it produces will be free, but the device is gonna cost you.  Cool Cheesy

Someone suggested using phatk2 with 5800 and 5900 cards but when I designate '-k phatk2' cgminer said 'you can't do that'.
Using search on this thread I noticed ckolivas states cgminer automatically chooses which phatk kerenl to use, because there are several available I guess. Also, when I check the config file after creating it while running, it isn't obvious which phatk is being used, it just lists 'phatk'.

Do I use '--verbose -T' to check which phatk kernel is in use?

When starting from the commandline (Not -c), can I specify which specific phatk kernel to use instead of letting automatic choose?

Does it matter which SDK is in use to get the benefeits suggested for phatk2?

I'd like to reduce stales/DOA for p2pool, rejected shares and Longpolling (hardware errors are zero). Is this more a combination of engine/mem, gpu threads, intensity, vectors, and worksize rather than a specific kernel?
520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you pay your household bills with bitcoin ? on: April 29, 2012, 09:15:13 PM
@Yankee (BitInstant)
What about check cashing establishments? They often offer bill pay services for various major companies including electric & gas, ISP, Telco's and some minor services.
If Bitcoin could get into those, might even become a common exchange along with bill paying.
