Don't use GTX 1050 for mining, even I regret to use 1050TI for mining now. You cannot only consider the mining profit since you need to know that a general motherboard has 6 slots, the better way is to fully utilize those slots. Try to use more powerful cards for mining.
For another thing, if you want to sell your mining cards, low-end product will no longer have a good price after one or two years. But if you mine with high-end cards (e.g., 1080Ti), it's still profitable if you sell it.
1080ti is a bad example of good resale value. These highend model deprecciate the quickest once new cards are out. Best cards for resale value after two years will be 1070 followed by the 1080 and then the 1060 6gb. Ive always mined with amd but now with more support for nvidia I bought 2 1070s a pny and Msi the Msi out performs the pny but I'm glad I bought them planning on getting more |

The question is, do you trust whattomine.com? With my current rig, it shows that most profitable coin to mine, is ETH, and I've been mining it for a while. I have 6x AMD rx470. Should I mine something more profitable? Please share your thoughts, thank you  use it only as reference but take that as a grain of salt. every miner has different methods, me personally i mine for volume not profit. So you mine the coin you can get the most out of at that time than hold till profit is up basically Im interested in trying something different |

Got 6 470 4GB cards but I only get 575 h/s a card. What am I doing wrong?
this is GatelessGate:  I have also SGMiner-GM that gives higher rate (2-3%) but it produces way more rejects on XMR dwarf(even with no stale shares submitted), while it could do just fine with monero clones on other pools. Had no time to check whether these rejects are of any substance, but it hurts my eyes:) Have you tried running on nicehash I tried and keep getting stratum disconnects also what monitor program are you using Id like to check it out Ive been using minerstat and its constantly updated if you have a problem coinscrow gets it fixed asap |

I don't know when there's a lot of transactions on the eth network it seems to slow down the chain so what are they going to do when the pos switch happens there's a lot of miners on pow I think they'll be luck to get half that with pos also I think the eth wallet sucks it takes forever to download the blockchain and constantly have problems keeping it running I gave up and use mew

please beware that there're could be occasional fan jumps to 100%. for rx4 cards use 16.11.4 driver it will fix the fan issues if you want to get stable performance, no dev fee and higher than claymore's 9.7 hashrate use sgminer (I personally like this one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1716584.0) I just tried it with an rx 480 and r9 280. I get 200 h/s less than claymore. 1100h/s with that version and 1300 with claymore. Also no fan issues with claymore for me on this machine, my other 5x rx 570/580 rig or my 1060 rig. On rx470 I'm getting from 700h to 724h (depending on the card) @ ~100W from the wall, with 1160:1900-2000 @ 923mv - very stable and cold -rawintensity 504 --worksize 4 --gpu-threads 2 Thanks for the the settings I was having nothing but issues on one rig with claymore also I cant see paying 2% when there are no updates or anything being done on this miner I switched my rigs to gatelessgate with your settings on my rx470 and rx570 and Im getting better rates and its stable as hell |
