621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: May 07, 2017, 12:00:38 PM
Right now if you want in linux undervolting you need to have custom bios with added offset.
Anyway i someone wants my friend is doing custom bioses.
Adding voltage offset which recudes wattage and it works in linux = 0.2 BTC (for each model/brand/memory type, i can do RX400/RX500 gpus)
If anyones is interested email me to admin@simplemining.net and wirte in subject: Pay Service Adding Offset
Payment only upfront.

I just wanted to avoid them flashing, it means a lot of cards to transfer one after one to a PC with Win, the driver, load the memory producer, make a backup, then upload a new bios and in 3 years hope that I did not lose the bios for possible sale Cards.

You can flash on Linux...

I know this is my problem, but I do not have enough experience with linux Sad

its the same program on windows as linux
if you can run the commands in windows then you shouldnt have any issues with them on linux
How do you backup the original bios example I built my rig instead of installing win like my other rigs I just used smos on usb now if I want to flash my bios shouldn't I have a backup so how do I backup my original without having to install win thanks for any tips or advice

625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SINGULARDTV (ETHEREUM) - Launch Completed! on: May 03, 2017, 11:23:38 AM
Any update on the launch of the new website?

This project has solid volume, averaging maybe 70 btc a day it seems?  That would easily be top 50 on poloniex and with that exposure the volume would necessarily increase.

Etherdelta, appears to be a new exchange.  Does anyone have any insight into that platform.

Glad to see that the folks suppressing the price have let the price run a bit.  Looks like a great project with incredible backend devs.  Joseph Lubin is the real deal.

Hello,

Here is something posted today (EDIT: yesterday) on SingularDTV Slack by Zach LeBeau (CEO) in relation to your question:

Our previous version of a whitepaper, the Summary Overview, became obsolete when we devised our dev roadmap Nov/Dec of last year. We have intentionally not published an updated one because we have been keeping several of our 11 modules/applications secret for various reasons. On May 19, at the Ethereal event in NYC (https://etherealsummit.com/?utm_content=buffer913e3&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer), we will unveil our 11 module/application ecosystem. Shortly after that In June we will be launching vrs. 1.0 of our Rights Management Gateway. Nearer this launch we will be releasing detailed documents/a whitepaper.

So the recent gains have been based off this news?

I tend to think that is because SINGULAR is taking the netflix path, and not because precise news. Big players saw it and try now to remove weak hands.
2 successive and very close pumps are very rare. Like many ICO buyer, I sold part of my investment at first pump. Most ICO buyers sold on 2nd pump, with a X7 gain in $.
Now the growth can really begin.
I have used etherdelta a few times to buy and sell I just set up a new wallet on myetherwallet to import instead of using a regular wallet

so it wont work for r9 290 4gb and what about r9 280 3gb is there anyway to add support to them or not possible thanks
629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.3 (Windows/Linux) on: May 01, 2017, 03:31:49 AM
which drivers work well with r9 and rx cards on my mixed card rig I have a 270 that no longer mines eth and was going to replace it with my odd ball rx470
I am using 16.11.5 I have a mixed rig with RX 470's (4GB Cards) and R9 270X (2GB cards) and when setup this way I am still getting 15MH/s out of the 270X's but without 1 470 per 270X the 270X's won't mine. My guess is that the Dag is being shared from the 4GB cards.
Thanks I'll have to try it out I have gigabyte 270s and these have been running solid since LTC
630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v12.4 (Windows/Linux) on: May 01, 2017, 02:28:04 AM
Could someone help me out with what settings you are running I have a Asus r9 390 only getting 380hs I also have a sapphire reference 290 only getting 315hs from what I'm seeing my rates are low my clocks are 1075 1500 and 1075 1450 how could I get better rates and less power consumption just looking for some pointers I no every card is different
631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.3 (Windows/Linux) on: April 30, 2017, 01:13:08 PM
With 9.2 my r9 290 went from 31 to 21 mh/s (ETH). SC went from 440-450 to 640. Temps stayed the same. With 9.3, eth went up 1 mh/s (22mh/s) and SC to 660.

Yo,

yea the same happened here, you need to add -dcri ## to your command, maybe start off at -dcri 30 and while your miner is running use the - sign, you will decrease the dcri by one every time and each time you press you will see new hashspeed, do this untill you find the sweet spot for both.

ps. you might try adding -ethi 16, worked for me a bit.

-dcri is different for every card. Once you find the sweet spot you will have better speeds.

if that is the case how do you live change the dcri for 1 card? or did you mean make of card?

As Claymore says in Post #1 you check the -dcri of each card by itself with no other cards in the machine. then when you run the start batch you give the value for each card, such as "-dcri 12,34,21" etc.

Thats the question I had because I have one rig with mixed cards but instead of taking cards out we could choose which card with -di

which drivers work well with r9 and rx cards on my mixed card rig I have a 270 that no longer mines eth and was going to replace it with my odd ball rx470

How many coins are needed to run a masternode I was reading somewhere that 230000 was needed is this true if so at current prices you would need over a $100000 which is a little crazy

636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: April 25, 2017, 11:11:49 AM
I guess this was probably already answered, but is there a way to change memory timings directly from smOS? Or I need a Windows machine for modding the BIOS? both 470 and 480 cards are working equally at around 23.5MH/s, overclocked to 1266/1900... thanks
yes I haven't tried it yet because I'm not a linux guy but here is the directions https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1541084.msg18083576#msg18083576

Fantastic.

New Feature request:
Ability to Group Rigs to mine different coins

Example
Rig with 2GB cards can't mine eth or etc but can mine music, ubiq ETC
then
2 Rigs with 4GB cards that can mine everything

I haven't mined ETC lately because my 2gb cards are on zec but ETC now can't be mined with 2gb cards just wondering thanks
638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU Memory Size 4GB or 8GB? on: April 23, 2017, 02:07:23 AM
Someone was spreading misinformation.

The dag file is just barely over 2gb as of today, just checked my miner.

So 4gb cards will be good for another estimated 1 year 9 months.

IMO ethereum will go pos by then and mining will suck OR you will be looking into upgrading to newer faster cards by then.
There is no benefit in spending the extra up front aside from mining some shit coins that require 8gb of ram.
8gb choice has nothing to do with the dag file , 8gb cards after a year as you are calculating will have more resell value than 4gb so less in risk factor, what happen if eth turned pos and one of those shitcoins firedup to moon then you can't mine it with 4gb but for 8gb sure you can and you can see this in the 2gb cards now.
If one of those shitcoins firedup to the moon we would still have a while with 4gb cards being all of those coins dag size is no where eth is
639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] ZENCASH: Permanent, Distributed, and Fully Anonymous cryptocurrency on: April 19, 2017, 11:20:23 AM
It's going to be WAY different to running a Zclassic / Zcash / Zdash node.

Current coins install node routine :- run a home computer / Docker image / server / vps (install a 'nix flavour following u-tube vids); learn minimal amount of 'nix command line; use apt-get and build a couple of times; put some text in some hidden .conf files; job done. Google is your friend - everything you need to know is cut/paste-able - you can even set up a home pool in a day.

Zen masternode - OK, so I have a domain name which Certbot will put a certificate on from letsencrypt - Tick - job done? ...no

Now I need to learn how to put the node behind a reverse proxy to ensure the node traffic traverses the ssl and not bypass it (Google is not your friend because it now expects you to know a LOT more about 'nix, web-servers, coding and networking and most of the guides expect non-free software to 'make it easy'). There is more information on Google about how to make nodes traverse TOR sockets than run an SSL protected node through a reverse proxy.

Oh, and I need to know how to cron script to ensure a transaction is sent between two z-addresses (at a cost of 0.0002 per transaction) every 100 blocks or so?

Come on Zen Dev's, if you want a Node to meet requirements and jump hoops - provide a coded node that does it for your users straight from the git-pull, not a bunch of Linux style man pages that expect a few years of 'nix experience to follow.

Look at your Forum posters - how many are asking about windows wallets and how do you set up a basic node??
I agree can we get a simple node setup or some how to's with commands it's my busy time I start early in the am and work late I don't have time to practice setting up nodes or go to coding school
