501  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Scam or Possible? on: September 02, 2017, 06:47:52 AM
Hi!
I have read one's page on social media inviting bitcoin investors and guaranteed to gain profit at 140% for 140 days by doing nothing. Is this another "too good to be true" thing or scam?Or possible to profit this much?
Why exactly are they going to help you make a hundred 40% not just do it themselves? It's pretty much true for all these types of things. If you're capable of doubling your money overnight then don't try to get other people to give you their money to double just double your money overnight and continue to do that. There is no reason to somebody with some secret formula for making money is going to share it with anyone else
502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ahoolee presale - first search engine for online shopping! on: September 01, 2017, 03:00:08 PM
So what you are planning is a massive search engine, perhaps bigger than Google, Bing or others, but only catering products, and possibly services - Did I get the concept right?
Seems like this only to me. Perhaps their search engines will crawl and find products based on certain parameters and index them in one platform.
503  Economy / Economics / Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins on: September 01, 2017, 11:13:36 AM
Maybe not to get rich, but sure as hell to earn a decent amount of money with bitcoins.

How much money did you earn with bitcoins? Or did you lose some?
That’s very possible, but a lot of things have to be taken into consideration, things like amount of BTC in stock, value of BTC in the market, other investment portfolios and other things
504  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way for steady income on: September 01, 2017, 10:27:55 AM
Hello All,

What you think is the best investment to gain steady income in btc without actively doing anything?
So no trading/gambling/loaning etc.

Steady income more likely to be 'small & secure' than 'big & risky'.

Thanks,
BR Oinas
There isn’t any best way for steady income you should only find a method that works well for you, you shouldn’t only depend on one source of income, you should diversify your portfolio and with that I am sure you won’t regret your decision
505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn Bitcoin without investment on: September 01, 2017, 08:44:10 AM
Hey Bitcoiners? I'm desperate to start earning BTC
I'll do any kind of online activity as long as there's a Bitcoin payment. Where do I start?

You can earn bitcoin plenty of ways online, there are bitcoin faucets which pay you for doing little or no tasks, there are ptc sites that offer to payout with bitcoin also.
506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin truly decentralized? on: September 01, 2017, 07:38:07 AM
Proponents of Bitcoin claim that Bitcoin is a decentralized system. And because it is decentralized, nobody can control it - not you, not me, not the central banks, not the Federal Reserves, not anybody. Bitcoin nodes are distributed extensively and not kept in a centralized system (for instance, in one server) which can be susceptible to hacking or take over. While the inherent system is designed to operate in a decentralized manner, external factors are making Bitcoin less decentralized. Why? Because Bitcoin transaction requires miners to validate and update transactions on the Bitcoin network. To do that, miners need hashpower. The greater the hashpower, the greater control the miner or group of miners have on the system. Currently, Chinese miners control more than 70% of the total Bitcoin mining hashpower in the world, making China the undisputed world leader in Bitcoin mining. Talk about decentralization. According to blockchain.info, 4 (19%) of the total of 21 mining pools control more than 50% of the hashing power, while the rest of the 81% are left with 47% of the remaining hashpower. Doesn't sound so decentralized, does it?

Moreover, Bitcoin developers are controlled largely by Bitcoin Core group that is being run by people hired by Blockstream, a private company. So now, you have bitcoin mining controlled by a small handful of miners and the developers controlled by a group of people belonging to a single private entity. Some argue that this is exactly what makes Bitcoin decentralized because none of them can gain control over it. Really? Because from the outside, it looks more like a company being run by two hard-headed CEOs who are only looking out for their own self-interest. When two CEOs clashes against one another, is that what they refer to as decentralized?

So while Bitcoin's inherent system is decentralized, the governing factors (hashpower dominance by Chinese miners and software development by a small group of developers) makes it less so.

The market is a market in which nobody can directly alter its affairs which makes it a very safe market to be on. The value is determined plainly by the laws of demand and supply only.
507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should people use Bitcoin? on: September 01, 2017, 07:03:39 AM
Bitcoin is the future of money, or so they say.

I would like to hear your opinions on Why should people use Bitcoin?

The fact that people haven’t started using bitcoins still amaze me. Bitcoin is like the best type of money to have in the world right now because your money keeps growing.
508  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible for the bitcoin to lose it's value ? on: September 01, 2017, 06:25:15 AM
Hi , I'm new so basically I still have a lot to learn about the cryptocurrency , but I would like to know if it would be possible for the bitcoin to start the downfall ? I mean like what scenario can happen that the bitcoin would be pushed back like 5-6 years ?
Sorry if my post is in the wrong place or it's not relevant.
Bitcoin can lose its value, just the same way everything loses its value when something bad happens e.g house, car, wife. The only thing that is assured right now is that although bitcoin can lose its value its not yet time for it to do so
509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I Invest? on: August 31, 2017, 09:15:30 AM
Ive found a very Promising PRE-ICO which is called TheRomanLegionToken. It looks very good but I've only ever invested in 3 ICO's and I don't know that much about it. If someone has any input then that would be very helpful. Thanks Smiley

Here is the link to the Pre-ICO - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2073839.0

If you're nearing 25, or more, you should be investing in your retirement. Most people invest in a pension, but other investments can be suitable too. ... The stock market tends to do better than cash over the long-term providing an opportunity for greater returns on any money invested over time.

- login to simplemining.net dashboard using the same email and start managing your rig Smiley
- you can test it for free and then you need to pay only 2$ per rig per month
- if there will be new miner i will implement it fast with auto-updates system

511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: August 31, 2017, 07:22:24 AM
No, AMG vega does not seem to be ideal for coin mining. Although various rumors suggest otherwise, our first test shows that Vega does not do miracles in this area. I did a test with the benchmark tool of the Nicehashminer,  a program that combines multiple mining protocols, and always sees which coin you can best benefit from.
512  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Any Suggestions on Demo Trading Sites? on: August 31, 2017, 06:50:20 AM
Hello,
I am interested in learning to trade and would like to ask the board for suggestions on a good demo trading site.
My hope would be to identify a site were I could learn for a few months and then move into actual capital.

Any suggestions would be great.
Thank you.
A trading account allows you to manage fake funds in your account, you can use the funds to trade like you’re in a real life situation that’s one good thing about demo trading. I know sites like alpari.com, forex.com, instaforex.com(which presently gives $500 bonus to your main account)
513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what alt coins worth the invest? on: August 31, 2017, 06:03:59 AM
hi all currently what alt coins is worth the invest?
I really won’t advice anyone to invest in altcoins because they aren’t as developed as the main bitcoin, though altcoins give you a chance for returns when their prices increases, but what if their prices don’t incresas
514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Bitcoin? on: August 30, 2017, 06:35:33 AM
Hi guys Smiley May I know what are your plans on your Bitcoin in the future? Do you plan to keep on investing on Bitcoin related businesses or do plan to convert it into fiat and ventures on new business?

I'm planning to invest more on Bitcoin related companies and convert some of my Bitcoin into fiat and invest it on our local stock market. How about you?
I have been doing that planning for a long time. I actually started since when the price of bitcoin started booming hoping that I would one day buy a mansion from my bitcoin wallet.
515  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think billionaires invest in BTC? on: August 30, 2017, 05:58:14 AM
I just always wonder if those billionaires still invest in btc. Do they even know btc exist?
Yes they do have investments in bitcoin that’s probably why the price of bitcoin is going higher and higher daily. Since the billionaire are investing large amount of money in the market the make demand higher and prices go higher too.
516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you explain Bitcoin or crypto to complete newcomer on: August 30, 2017, 05:26:44 AM
So I've been involved in Bitcoin and crypto for about 5 months now and just about everyone I tell about it being friends and family most have never heard of it or the few that have they have no understanding of it so I was just curious into how others explain it all to total newcomers is their a webpage or video you may show for an easy understanding to explain it all ? Whenever I give my explanation it seems to go way over their head  Roll Eyes Cheers
It might seem very tasking and confusing at first but with experience and carefully answering the inquisitive questions you should be able to explain very well to the newbie and clear doubts about it.

518  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Gemini Down for 8 hours so far! Any updates? on: August 30, 2017, 04:23:40 AM
Hello guys,

They have been down for about 8 hours now. About 4 hours ago, they tweeted that they are going to resume the operations shortly but still not there.
They are may be updating their services or doing routine maintenance, you should be patient, they would soon be up and running, its just a matter of time and you would be happy once again like you’ve always been
519  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin also lead to corruption ? on: August 30, 2017, 03:34:50 AM
We all know that there is corruption everywhere, like in government or any other organization. Because of money, corruption can always happen with greedy people who always wants more money to them. Since bitcoin can be considered as money, can it also lead to corruption?
Bitcoin helps enhance corruption in the society since it guarantees anonymity and so every criminal would capitalize on this to wreak havoc in the society and even politicians.
520  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we make more money? on: August 30, 2017, 02:52:27 AM
What are the things to do to succeed in trade? What are you doing to make your business bigger?
How can we make more money?
How people earn bitcoins has been a very critical topic of discussion, and the question has suddenly been so common that you’re forced to wonder why people are so interested in earning bitcoins, maybe because of the price
