501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If a addict lives within, which method would you choose to help them on: January 30, 2024, 02:48:12 PM
As a member of a family and there is a gambling addict within, which method do you think it's the best to rip off the addict from your family member?
I'm confused with the term rip off. Are you gonna take advantage of him? It's quite confusing. That's usually being used to people who are taken advantage of or something.

You do know that addicts only listen to themselves, even if you effort so much continuously, it will only work if the addict realizes it on his/her own. I hope that happens to the addicted person near you. Make them think for themselves and I believe it will follow.
502  Other / Meta / Re: Should bitcointalk ban promotion of other forums? on: January 30, 2024, 07:04:35 AM
I think if those forums are being promoted in a way that is intrusive or using referral links, that's understandable because we all know that it's not that welcome here. But if it's just mentioning, it's a great way to add to conversation or knowledge on the niche of that forum. Maybe someone could add more value to both. If it's okay for them, I think it's okay for this forum as well. It shouldn't really be banned for me.
503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BRC20 NARRATIVE IS SLOWLY TAKING OVER AS WE BUILD UP TO HALVING on: January 30, 2024, 03:58:11 AM
Can we take advantage of this to make sure we can also benefit from this? I am not that updated now with what’s happening with these events but I want to see how much it would affect the market. All I am seeing are the ordinals stuff not the other stuff. Would there be more to watch out or something?
504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are every activities/competitions with stake known to be gambling? on: January 29, 2024, 03:53:13 PM
I quite had a hard time understanding what you were trying to say. I think it's quite long for a simple question.

For me, it's gambling if you have a stake involved because if you have the definition of gambling, it's about involving or wagering something of value. If that something of value is at stake, then that is gambling. It's the intent of multiplying or increasing the value of your stake, whether it's a large sum of money or valuable goods. Mixed with the game of chance, it's definitely equal to gambling.
505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There is nothing like it since the past 12 years on: January 29, 2024, 02:23:13 PM
It's nice to see someone post about their journey even without a steady job, enduring the life of having minimal living conditions, and still managing to secure a better future. There's always going to be a challenge with skepticism and challenges, it's the belief that you can continue and know the potential of how you can improve your life by doing something about it. It's a great story.

Anyone can do it as long as you are doing the right things and making sure that you are committed. Nice OP.
506  Other / Meta / Re: Other Forum members are more civil than Legendary members, Why? on: January 28, 2024, 04:46:52 PM
This and many more are examples of insults and bullying by legendary members to express their point which they feel is better than the points of newbies. I never wanted to remember them , that was why I kept the thread going to see whether others have had the same experience. The thread was actually created for legendary members to also see what others are saying about their behavior then have a change of approach to public discussions. I know I am newbie, I am ready to learn but no through insults and bullying. Thank you for requesting for proof.
In approaching your answers towards the posts of legendary members, it's important to provide facts and not just "saying that this is what's happening" and it's not gonna be taken lightly and understood because there's no evidence.

Let me get this clear OP, you are baiting the Legendary members to post here and use that as the proof? That is the proof that you have? You incited it in the first place and provided zero evidence of what you are talking about and then said along the lines of "told you so" because of the replies.
507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto arbitrage trading 6-8% profit in one round! on: January 28, 2024, 04:40:08 PM
Yes, of course I can, please write in Telegram and I will show you the reality of the work
I would rather see it in a post here so it is transparent with everyone. It seems like you are trying to hide it.
508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto arbitrage trading 6-8% profit in one round! on: January 28, 2024, 06:35:45 AM
Cryptocurrency arbitrage is the most effective way to make money on the Internet in 2024. I been successfully finding current working trades for more than 3 years and carrying out profitable transactions with a difference in price.
I work in the field of crypto arbitrage if you are interested in crypto arbitrage, I am ready to share working schemes. My telegram for communication @pasha90x
Can you explain your process and how you do it? Arbitrage is a surefire way to profit but doing it so fast would probably require tools. It's going to be pretty slow if you're going to do it manually.

Can you elaborate on that and show some results of it here?
509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling addiction lead to domestic violence? on: January 28, 2024, 04:51:40 AM
I think you already answered your question with yourself knowing that it could lead to that. You have heard of bad behaviours that occurred. That’s definitely one of the reasons that could lead to violence. Any kind of violence I think is considered to be a problem and the root cause could be that addiction.

Addicts have a tendency to be desperate to get money and gamble it. That is for sure.
510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the rush to gain profit in crypto? on: January 27, 2024, 05:17:33 PM
The rush probably is caused by a lot of things. Still, the first thing that came into my mind is because of the world we live in now, the instant gratification that is being shown to different people starting from a young age and has been a factor towards anyone that want to have fast results. It's mostly like that in terms of the "rush" and taking time isn't being practiced anymore.

Additionally, more factors that people probably have
  • Other people within the crypto space show the opportunities of earning. They see people having intense profits from crypto and they probably think they can replicate that
  • The quick wealth type of thing is possible and it changed the mindset of some people
  • They feel FOMO with their peers

I agree that education is an important thing when trying to do anything, especially when trying to make a profit. It's best to be knowledgeable.
511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Can Explain What This Guy is Saying About Bitcoin On Reddit? on: January 27, 2024, 04:46:19 PM

Believe it or not, I've been in the crypto industry for a few years, but I've never heard of anyone in the crypto space who guessed at least two words in its seed and had access. What trip is this? You are making the subject simple, but you are making it complicated.

Remember, no one can guess the seed phrase of other holders unless you tell someone else or you neglect to save it somewhere; then the one who sees it has an idea about crypto.
The poster in Reddit definitely meant that as a joke I believe. You need to think about it. I can guess any random word and phrase and show a wallet but for sure it wouldn't have any transaction because it's really impossible to open someone who has one because of the chances.

I could do that as well, just get 12 phrase words can be put onto that software but the chances of you guessing one that has transactions is very very low.
512  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best time to buy BTC NOW? on: January 27, 2024, 12:04:04 PM
Wouldn’t it be always the best time? You would not really know how or when is the right time to buy because the market can’t be predicted unless some obvious factor manipulates it or something. We wouldn’t know that but it is one of the things that could for sure affect the price.

Personally it wouldn’t be a question if you believe in the asset that you have. Just buy and Hodl lol.
513  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I succeed as a trader in 2024 on: January 27, 2024, 06:14:23 AM
Personally, I would recommend trading continuously in the market and having a strategy that would adapt to certain kinds of markets whether you need to HODL, Sell, or just wait or something. I am currently using Gunbot for my trading and it's a set-and-forget type of thing and this is the post that I have done. Maybe you could try it or something.
514  Economy / Economics / Re: Save while young better than wait on: January 27, 2024, 05:31:40 AM
It's always going to be better to be early in anything and there are a lot of actual results from people that started early and can possibly be worth more than just holding on to it. It somehow can apply to the HODL. Timing the market is hard but making trades and making sure that it is a surefire way to profit is better. So investing your money in a calculated risk is a great way to really actualize the growth of your money.
515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: January 26, 2024, 05:09:54 PM
Their racer norris is whopping 11x odds to win bahrain GP, to be honest im kinda tired of seeing verstappen every race at 1.2 - 1.3 odds  Huh
I think this odds is kind of enticing because of the following factors that I have seen recently.
  • McLarens recent performances
  • Enhancements
  • The driver

I think with the team dynamics plus the facilities that they have to increase their developments with the car, I think it would be a nice thing to see them contending consistently at the top, you will never know.  Shocked
I mean considering Norris never won a single race before, it is definitely getting boring a bit. I would say that car is one of the reasons but even Piastri started to do very well, not as well as Norris maybe but dude was a rookie, and he collected second most points for a rookie ever with a car that didn't even run first half of the season, they got better at the second half of the season, and if they had better first half, they would have been in the top three without a doubt and Piastri would had the most points for a rookie.

This means that if Piastri is capable of getting this many points as a rookie, Norris should have at least one win, and the fact that he has none, is not looking good. Max was just way too good last season, but this season ,I am expecting at least one win from Norris, he should get one, he has been in the league for way too long to have not a single win with a car like that.
Well, we will see this coming season. I do hope that there will be somehow a change in the dynamics of F1 to have more entertaining races and not just all Max. I'm not hating on him, he is an excellent driver but it's fun when there are always different outcomes and not so much consistent ones or something like that. I hope it changes now this season.
516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Older men vs Younger boys in gambling, Which enjoys Gambling for fun the more? on: January 26, 2024, 03:41:07 PM
I don't know why you didn't consider the 45 - 60 years old. Is it another category or something? Because I know there are a lot of people that gamble at that age.

If we were to consider gambling, I think it's more older people because they have a lot of money and more time I guess that's why the number of gamblers is more on the higher number side.

In terms of enjoyment, I think it's the same because there are a lot of immature people that are young, maybe they just want to win and it's not gonna give them any more fun.
517  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Spam Emails pretending to be OpenSea on: January 26, 2024, 02:47:28 PM
Thanks, it seems that these scammers already have the idea that you've got some NFTs. Do you remember where you've likely have input your email related to your NFTs? or they just assume that the victim has NFTs and they're just trying their luck with it?
I just got some basic NFTs but I think they got my email from a database hack or something and they probably spammed their email hoping for a victim or something. It's really desperate move from them but I think they are still getting their money from gullible people.

Perhaps the OP is actively participating in giveaways and airdrops that are NFT-related, and scammers concluded that he would list these NFTs on Opensea based on the email he provided in one of the forms or platforms. As for me, I would recognize it as a scam even without doing any research, as I am not interested in NFTs and do not have any active listings on Opensea.
I don't really participate in active airdrops or giveaways. I'm even surprised that I received that kind of email. I think it's really from a database hack or something.

Maybe most of us here receive spam emails because we've previously tried various websites and platforms. It's even worse if the websites where we have accounts get hacked, and hackers obtain our information such as email addresses. Even though I check my emails every day, I'm always careful about the emails I open, and I only open those that I expect. It's important to stay vigilant and double-check the authenticity of such communications, especially when dealing with valuable assets.
I believe it's okay to open or read the gist but never open links or something. I hope no one gets scammed with this.
518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: PI Network! A huge trap[Warning!] on: January 26, 2024, 08:28:07 AM
please anyone can give a summary that i start using their app or this is a scam.

why i use pi or why i don't use pi?
The thing is they haven't launched it, so you can't tell if it's scam or not, but I have a friend that have passed his KYC (Know your customer) and have transferred his transferable pi to his wallet,
I also have a friend that sold his pi to someone for a huge amount of money, and was still looking for more to buy, so I think if pi will be something big then that will be in years time, and not definitely this year or next year.
That's pretty sad if it managed that they just sold data about the people who trusted in this Pi network. It's just not gonna work, you know? I do a lot of people asking to "buy" the Pi they have generated but all I see with it is a possible scam.

It hurts now knowing later after 1226 days. Nearly 16,000 coin
1226 days later know that it's a scam? Can you elaborate more about what hurts?
519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you preffer your dealer talkative or not? on: January 26, 2024, 05:57:58 AM
I believe it depends on my mood whether or not it's me getting more talkative or just want to focus and concentrate on the game. My personal preference is leaning more towards to not being talkative because I don't really want to socialize but to play and hopefully win. I would be more accepting of a talkative player next to me, but it depends on what he/she is talking about.

Does anyone here want a talkative player next to you?  Huh Cheesy
520  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much knowledge is enough to satisfy an individual on: January 25, 2024, 04:03:26 PM
Isn't it the goal of being a human? Finding your value in life or something like that? I can imagine people being part of that concept that learning never ends and there will always be something that you can learn and educate yourself. I don't think this just applies to academia or professors, but in general, everyone who has an interest in improving themselves. If you are interested in that then you need to have more knowledge.
