5001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Futures on: May 02, 2020, 10:47:28 AM
There are lots of cryptocurrencies and lots of coin but everyone can't make a future.  10 years ago bitcoin started their journey and they reached there goal!  But no other coin is  like them because they starts their journey for profit not to making them worldwide!

Well being first in the crypto sphere has its perks, just like what happened to BTC. It slowly gained a lot of followers then it started to have a price in a trading exchanges and the rest is history. So it is hard to duplicate that and that's why those coins that comes after bitcoin is called alternative cryptocurrencies. So what the rest of crypto can do is just improved that bitcoin lacks, like what Ethereum - with its dapps and then XRP as sort of banking solutions to help different sectors like banking and of course financials and crypto space. So I doubt that any coin that challenge bitcoin today, so the only way for them to get recognise and of course gain support is improving their coins or tokens.
5002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH could reach $440 if bullish on: May 02, 2020, 09:42:29 AM
This year it is quite real that ETH can rise to a price of $440, the most important thing is that Bitcoin grows, because if Bitcoin does not grow, then ETH will follow Bitcoin and therefore also will not grow.

Obviously, there's some correlation between ETH and BTC. But I firmly believed that somewhat ETH can decouple and make its own course. The price remain strong above $200, despite BTC dumping from $9400-$8700. So this might be a good indication that ETH could sustain its growth. We still far away from that $440 price, but if the market turns out to be bullish, then definitely, ETH can easily get over $300-$400 easily. ETH 2.0 is the one that makes this narrative (decoupling from BTC) hold as least in my opinion.
5003  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam] YouTube channel with more than 200000 Subs ETH on: May 02, 2020, 08:48:34 AM
Regarding this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CI2WH0ntlrk

It has been taken down already, which is a good news to us. However, there are literally thousands of hack accounts there, so just be careful. Again, if we see those kind of fake giveaways, we should report it right away. I have reported several channels already, and in my one little way, trying to clear crypto-sphere with this criminals.
5004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 02, 2020, 08:05:09 AM
Maybe this is just a test run I believed so obviously, those that are participating are outside of the top 100. But if this become successful, we might, just see another regular masters event at least in the next coming months. Every precautionary measures have been put into place. So let's see how this 'exhibition' match will turn out.

At least they have given the chance to have a tennis game which all fans are missing. Yes, there are precautionary measures put in place so we might not appreciate it at the beginning since no one can watch it live and cheer for their favourite player. But tennis should adapt as well in this crisis, the price is not that attractive but it is understandable because the players involved are not in the top 10 or even top 50 players. As tennis fans, this is a win-win situation and we all know that tennis is not a contact sport per definition so this is a good test run game.
5005  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Correction in the next days? on: May 02, 2020, 04:13:50 AM
Any reason why the price rose for the last few days? It's just the same as when the price goes down. You can never truly tell what could happen. All I know is that there are millions of USDT injected again into the market and then the market risen above $9000. A correction for sure is about to happen and it's not because of the halving, but the people's decision.

Yeah, and probably just another FOMO again, maybe newbies are caught and doesn't want to miss the boat so they fuel their funds on bitcoin market pushing the price again, above $9k. And as fast as it rose, the market goes down again around $700. The good thing is that at the current price, support is very strong and we might see this as up to the bitcoin halving date. Healthy correction, 10 days left before the halving, so I will be optimistic that there could be another push to hit that five digits again. But don't expect any all time high soon though, it will take some time after the halving.
5006  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Someone booked a hotel using bitcoin on: May 02, 2020, 03:37:36 AM

Would you book a hotel using bitcoins?

Why not? if we bitcoin enthusiast wanted it to be adopted globally, then perhaps we can start by actually using it. And for the record, there are a lot of hotel services that offer bitcoin to book reservations like this:

https://bitcoin.travel/

I haven't tried it to, but according to their website, you can save a whopping 60%. Maybe if after this corona virus pandemic, people here might think of travelling again and use our BTC.
5007  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all that glitters are gold on: May 01, 2020, 11:47:15 AM
I'm not familiar with this projects but it seems they put a good strategy (based on what you just posted here), specially

1. low quality cap, then they pump it up
2. many members see it an opportunity to make money, join the bounty
3. BM is rude
4. Now it is a shit project

@bitbollo has put a good investigation and even posted a scam accusations against the project.

So everyone should watch out about this low cap projects or shall I say "low crap" as this is another way to attract investors and bounty hunters to fall for their trap.
5008  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fake MetaMask on: May 01, 2020, 10:52:06 AM
Good, at least the domain registrar responded very quick and decisive.

I have one pending on reporting one scam/phishing site and so far I haven't got any response in more than 24 hours now. And the only that you found is really very dangerous because someone can fell for it like typo squat because the name is very similar to the original one.
5009  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why risk management is so important ? on: May 01, 2020, 09:40:27 AM
But it is easier said that done. I don't think that traders here are going to be strict, maybe there are days that they will just give up and consider it a lost already. I think what we traders should practice is some kind of "control aggressiveness". Yes, you could do some risk management, but in the end, you might go on the opposite side. What I mean is that don't predict your every movement. I know this idea sounds crazy, but it had work for me. I'm not against risk management control, but for me it's better to get out of your comfort zone from time to time.
5010  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin back to $8000 on: May 01, 2020, 08:22:12 AM
It's actually quite a significant increase from 7k. If we were just to look at it's the highest point in the recent days, it basically had around $2.4k increase from $7k to $9.4k. Naturally, I really doubt it would hold down the fort at that point and look at it standing at around $8.7k.

It didn't hold up, the growth was not sustainable obviously, as a lot of long position got liquidated around $9.4K so we are back to $8700-$8800, but I think we are still in the bullish zone as the selling had stop already.

Ofc, if we were to look at it from a 24H point, the price increase was around $1.4k but nonetheless, it's quite a big point for BTC to be able to go back to what it once was before the Coronavirus drop happened ( Just decided to call it that since that's when the lockdowns became prevalent.) It was both unexpected and expected at the same time, just that it happened in one single day which is a negative for me. I hoped it'd be a steady growth instead so it can hold on to that place before pushing again once more.

I would say that it is just a matter of time before we can see the price where it should to be before this pandemic messed. And so it shows how the market or at least bitcoin can be good in the long run. Almost 8 weeks if I'm not mistaken, after the scare, we are back again and getting stronger, specially that in about 10-11 days we're going to hit a big milestone.
5011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which of the two will you choose as a gambler? on: May 01, 2020, 07:33:34 AM
For the sake of discussions and not going into complexity, I would go for Option 2: Key based authentication. My main reason is that it's going to be like protecting your private keys here. At least everything is in your control. And you need to be very careful, because if you don't educate yourself everything will be gone in at instant specially. And since everyone here doesn't want to get your account compromise then obviously as a gambler we need to do everything to protect it by having a good sound and security practices.

5013  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Possible big scam coming warning guys. on: April 30, 2020, 09:58:51 AM
As far as I can see, there is a Registrar Abuse Contact Phone ("+44.2034357304") in the information you have given - maybe a call to this phone number could possibly take down the domain?

This is there abuse report mail: abuse@tldregistrarsolutions.com.

I think we need more users reporting these Scam websites so that the domain registrar will act quickly.

So let's see if I will get an official response from them.
5014  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: THE BEAR GUYS ARE OFF THE STREET on: April 30, 2020, 08:32:13 AM
I guess it just proved that crypto market is really hard to predict if we just rely on technical analysis. We forget that there is still one element that we need to consider, the sentiments of the investors. If those people doesn't like what they are seeing, without looking at the charts, then obviously then won't invest, simply as that. But if the sentiments goes and they became optimistic, then for sure  money will simply pour on the market, push the price to whatever. Like prior to halving, I think the target is 5 digits, $10k. Also, bitcoin is a speculative asset, that's why it is hard to time the market based on TA of the past.
5015  Economy / Speculation / Re: say welcome to THE FOMO... on: April 30, 2020, 04:06:25 AM
$8800 as of writing this.
Wowza!  I checked the price earlier today and it was just above $8k, so that's a lot of movement in a very short period of time.  We'll just have to see how sustainable it is.
It just steps on $9,085 as of the moment.

This is now making me fear. But no need to have that feeling right now, I have to enjoy this ride, especially after the halving. People do buy in preparation for the halving with the belief of rising afterward.

I do agree that we are in the FOMO zone again, I remember last year when we enter the 5 digits, it was clearly FOMO but that pushed the price around $10k-$13k May-June if I'm not mistaken. So we might see it again, although the scenario might be very different because of the halving and the pandemic.

Just 11 days before the halving, I wouldn't be surprised if we go on and reach 5 digits again, but there could be some minor pullback along the way. If we get past $9200-$9300 then there could be a lot of resistance, just saying.
5016  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dont sell off because of the period on: April 30, 2020, 02:52:03 AM
Am not the one to endorse all altcoin, or point someone to the direction of trading or investing in one. But am the type of investor that does believe in shaking or shivering with situation.
Bitcoin is rising and thats good. Rumors can say the up coming bitcoin halving has something to do with it.
Many are now quick to sell off altcoin that they have been holding with so much promise.
This can be of bad consequences, I am the one to always invest in BTC if I have the found to get one, but I did not invest in bitcoin because of increasing price.
What you tend to loose selling of your coin
+ all your time of investment would become in vain: long term holder of altcoin should not without a thoughtful look sell off there coin
+ things might not go as you planned: the ball can go two ways, one it can go in your favour and two go against you.

I understand that investing in something more promising -bitcoin for example- is productive, but rather than, selling off just invest in it with available raw capital.

I guess investors shifted where the money is, so I'm sure that they are people who have been selling off their altcoins and move to bitcoin, we can't blame them. I have seen this kind of movements throughout my stay here in crypto. And it really makes sense to them though, I mean we all wanted to squeeze everything and make some good money isn't it? I myself did this, not regretting it since I made the right decision that time.

So I would advise though, if you are going to do this kind of strategy just be sure that you can stomach it, or shall I say be mentally tough and be prepared for the consequences. I'm not against the OP's advise or suggestion, what I'm saying is that you should try to work out a strategy that fits your needs, just saying.
5017  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the cure of COVID or CBDC BOOST BITCOINs price this year 2020 on: April 28, 2020, 01:53:28 PM
its been stated now, that during April, if BITCOIN can remain above $7700, we are looking at $8500 as the next stop. If countries slowly eliminate COVID completely, will it help boost bitcoins price even further or serve to deter bitcoin from increasing?. This is when the governments have no more COVID to worry about and focus on rejuvenating their economy. They would start implementing their own CBDC and digital currency like China probably this year as well. Will this be the true cause of the fall of bitcoin, or will bitcoin and crypto be integrated into their banking system?

Even prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, China have plans already to roll out their CBDC, maybe the crisis just just put more pressure on them and hurriedly releasing in ahead of their schedule. So that argument is flawed already. As for the price pushing $7700, maybe the block halving has something to do with it, or whales are simply manipulating the price again, we can't really tell the reason for the sudden uptick in the last one week or so.
5018  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Minereum (MNE) - SCAM TOKEN on: April 27, 2020, 01:10:10 PM
In part, yes, it looks a little silly and contradictory, but I would not be in a hurry to call it scam, because the project has already created a finished product that has been working for several years.

Having a working project doesn't mean that you can't be a scammers. Cyber criminals are really good at hiding their true intentions here. So it could be borderline scams, just like Bitconnect and HEX, started to be good in the beginning, but look at how they turn out to be. So I will be cautious moving forward for this MNE Token, they could have been planting this all along.
5019  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solid investment or venture capital? on: April 27, 2020, 10:03:54 AM
With a certain amount of capital, I should invest in famous virtual currencies like btc, eth ... less volatile or new virtual currencies with little capital that can make huge profits but with high risks?
Can you give me suggestions?

To be honest with you, asking financial advise here is very bad. Why? Because everyone here will shill for their favourite coins. But I will say that majority here have their investments on bitcoin, probably like 50%-60% of their portfolio and the rest on the rest of altcoins.

However, you still have to do your own research (DYOR), and that is the first step of being a successful crypto investors. Don't rely on others, you should do your homework, so best of luck to you and I do hope that you are here for long term and not just think of crypto as a way to get rich quick.
5020  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam Alert] Bitcoin tripler site btc.tripler.cc on: April 27, 2020, 09:24:01 AM
Yep, I agree this is a very obvious scam. Maybe the criminals have evolved and seems that the world "tripler" might be very attractive, (they really know the psychology behind deceiving and taking advantage of the people's greed). But the outcome will be the same, just sad that maybe a few newbies will fall for it and it's gonna be too late before they realised that they have been duped by these criminals.
