5021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's worse: cigar addiction or gambling addiction on: November 01, 2019, 07:29:39 AM
Addiction is a pathology

So if it is a love for something, it is a pathological love. And the pathological part of it refers to the fact (actually, two facts) that an addict can't willingly stop using or doing something and he understands that it ruins his love (corrected) life. I think it is an important addiction (corrected) addition

In this way, if someone tremendously loves a sport (or a spouse), or some other activity, say, fishing (or someone), but it doesn't hurt him, then we can't call it addiction. And thus we arrive at a conclusion that addiction is a self-destructive love for something (and gambling addiction fits into this definition perfectly)
I am sure that so many victims of addiction didn't see it as a problem in the beginning and to them it's just love for the act.  Once an act is becoming uncontrollable it has most definitely become an addiction and there's a need for urgent intervention.

I am a big fan of sport and there was a time I noticed I could do anything, spend an amount of money for sport either in form of betting or by just participating. At that point, I knew I needed help, I didn't wait for it to escalate. I hate to compare which of the addiction is better between cigar and gambling because I know they are both disastrous and none is better than another.
5022  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 31, 2019, 04:36:56 PM
Warriors went against the basketball gods and made a team that was easily beating every single team against them, they won in 2015 and in 2017-2018 they won two championships that was the easiest championships in the world and there was no one even having slightest of the chances against them.

Last season with the finals basketball gods decided to intervene and make things square again, now Warriors are paying the debt of having so much power, the bigger they are the harder they fall. Warriors is basically one of the worst teams in the NBA, I would put this version of them in the bottom 10 easily, maybe even in bottom 5. If Curry/Klay doesn't comeback quickly, they might actually miss the playoffs, not even joking, that team without Klay and curry can't make it to playoffs.
5023  Economy / Gambling / Re: MintDice – Bitcoin Casino With Online Slots, Bitcoin Crash & Bitcoin Investment on: October 30, 2019, 05:14:17 PM
You guys are getting really really big, I mean how many casinos can actually stake some players entry and then get them to high spots as well, most of the casinos I am 100% sure didn't even know there was a WCC Bitcoin poker event, and you guys not only took advantage of this but also got involved with it as well.

In the end, mintdice is showing everyone how they are going to one up their competition in every turn, they are doing basically everything properly and never fail, they are constantly here, they are in communication, they are marketing, they are getting involved, they are ever improving. I am not saying they are the most gambled place right now, I know they are not right now but they are definitely on the path to be the biggest casino in crypto.
5024  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where can I buy digital currency better when I only have $10,000 on: October 29, 2019, 11:55:04 AM
Is it true that a friend recommended me to buy digital currency for transaction on SunCoin platform and only need to pay a deposit to operate? Because this is my first contact
$10k is not a very small amount of money to throw away just like that, I think this amount is more than enough to have investment in bitcoin, and still diversify into top altcoins rather than thinking of buying this unpopular coin that I even feel is dead already.

If you have such amount of money, you have to just make bitcoin your major focus first and then make sure that you have at least 50 percent of your investment in it, while you share the remaining percentage on coins that you will find in the market to have bottomed right now, but yet still have so much popularity, because the more the popularity of a coin is, the more we can say the community will keep growing up, making the value of this coin to keep rising, and that can only be seen with top coins.

Some years back when I needed something of such too, my brother introduced blockfolio and trade view to me which I downloaded from my play store and I must tell you that these two would do exactly what you want, most especially blockfolio where you can add exchanges and even be able to pull out your coin data on that exchange for you to be able to have a firsthand data update on your coins.

I have been using the blockfolio more, and I will tell you that their interface is very user friendly and it is very easily to maneuver, if you try blockfolio, I know that you will not regret it. It is like when we are looking at the biggest and the best exchange that we have here in the market, you will see many people pointing to binance which is how blockfolio is too.
5026  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's worse: cigar addiction or gambling addiction on: October 29, 2019, 10:16:53 AM
Gambling addiction is a real thing. People don't generally give importance to it but it could be much more devastating than any other form of addiction as you tend to lose every wealth you have alongside developing mental problems. Though getting of Gambling problem could be easily done, people learn it the hard way.
Gambling addicts has also sometimes turned to other activities due to their unstable mentality, Las vegas shooting last year was from a gambling addict.
It’s quite unfortunate that gambling addiction is not really taken or seen as a serious crime in our various societies because to me, I don’t think there's any worse crime than this. I had a friend in my university days that was a gambling addict and I learnt from his experience that it is always best to quarantine those suffering from gambling addiction because the damage they end up causing to them self's and their friends and families is worse that a virus.

We didn't take my friends excessive gambling habit seriously until he ended up selling his father house, all his assets and he even went into depression at some point.  It took divine intervention to help him at that point, it was really terrible.
5027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the Faith of Casino business owners? on: October 29, 2019, 09:11:43 AM
If the propose Public Amendment of Gambling Law to BAN Casino come to pass what then will be faith of those who are benefiting from casino business related activities https://dailyasianage.com/news/199020/amendment-to-gambling-law-to-ban-casino

Assuming  Casino gambling is banned globally, the fate of the Casino business owners will be looking for new venturs and establish a new career path.  There is not much mystery behind their fate.  They will continue to live on their new business establishement practice.  It is not the end of the world for them, there are lots of opportunity to venture, it is up to them on which one they will take.
Exactly what my humble thoughts were, and they would have even made more than enough money that will enable them diversify into other businesses of their choice that will be successful and stand as a lifetime investment for them.

I am not a business person but from all I have read, entrepreneurs are always ready for whatever comes their way and in most cases they always forecast what happens even before it happens to them. Casino owners are big time entrepreneurs and scammers at that so they would definitely survive if gambling is globally banned, maybe they would introduce something else that would look similar to gambling.
5028  Economy / Gambling / Re: WOLF.BET - Provably fair dice game $1,000 Daily Race7-day streak bonus on: October 29, 2019, 08:24:44 AM
If you think it shouldn't be hidden, than you are asking the casino to risk their already good business to make a risky move for a future maybe better results which they don't have to.
It is not really risking their already proven system, it is just addition to already working system that would make it work even better. If a player has a username, then you can search that username on the website and pm them if you can (don't know if you can) even if not you can watch them and bother them or even google their username and find them somewhere else with the same username.

However, if you are doing the "player23523" method then there is really nothing people can do with it aside from seeing you in top 10 all the time, like they can't find you, they can't pm you, they can't google you, basically it is literally exactly the same thing as hidden but gives us the pleasure of seeing names in the top 10 that way instead of just 2 or 3 people in the whole top 10.

It is just my suggestion tho, it all depends on what the general gamblers of wolf.bet wants, if they disagree then there is no point on even considering this as a possibility.
5029  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♨️🎲 WINDICE.io 🎲 0.3 BTC Wagering Contest 🔰 Progressive Faucet💰 Jackpots 🎁❤ on: October 27, 2019, 07:52:11 PM
Yeah looking at the winner for example, he spent 3.1 bitcoins which has an expected loss of 0.03 and he won 0.04, of course that doesn't mean that he lost or won money in this sense because with one bad luck you can lose more than expected or with one good luck you can win instead of lose, that is why I doubt it was exactly 0.03 loss. It is really not something we can calculate normally (specially for something as small as 3 btc, maybe would have been easier with 300 btc).

However, all in all the "possibility" of having positive house edge is a lot better than having negative one. Rodolman literally played with positive house edge which very very rare people can say when they are gambling on a casino. Dude had a expected win of 0.01 btc when gambling this contest.
5030  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin SV vs ETH on: October 27, 2019, 06:57:45 PM
Is investing in Bitcoin SV will be more beneficial as it haven't shown full potential yet or ETH will still be dominating in the time to come and should hold onto it ??
I think that it is best if you just hold on to your ethereum because I really don't put my trust in all these fork of bitcoin, I don’t see then as future coin, they might be reigning now, but how long its reign will last is what I really don't know.  Ethereum is a well respectable project and it's technology is such that it has really the heart of so many users and so many investors,  which I think the use of it is still very far much more than the use if bitcoin sv.

If bitcoin sv was really as strong as we all thought that it was, I am sure that Craig Wright may not have been doing all those lies if being satoshi to gain relevance, but if you look at how genuine ethereum team has been from the onset, you will see that the passion they have for the project is nothing compared to bitcoin sv.
5031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The price of Bitcoin is starting to weaken, is it now the right time to invest? on: October 27, 2019, 06:05:50 PM
It's October month, and the Bitcoin price has decreased over 2K USD from July. Still, I would not say this is the right time to buy Bitcoin. There will be more dumps in Bitcoin prices. So, you may wait for more days, if you haven't bought yet! A rich man can buy in every dip, but normal people should keep researching to pick the best buying time!
It is not only a rich man that would buy in everyday dip because bitcoin price is really not predictable when it comes to downtrend, we could say that bitcoin will continue to dip as you speak and we see reverse being the case. As an average investor, we don’t need to put too much money before we can buy a dip, even if it is 10 to 20 dollars that we buy in every dip, I think it I still something, and if you look at it now, the lowest that bitcoin can dip to now is till $7000, which is just $2000 difference from the current price which I don’t think that it is really worth risking for because if anything makes bitcoin to go on a reverse journey now, the value may continue to start rising and all we will see is fomo everywhere which is what usually make people to have bad decision on their choice of investment or time to enter the market.
5032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst Day of My LIFE - Dice on: October 27, 2019, 01:22:34 PM
Because of 2 reasons:
  • Out of greediness.
  • Hoping that their money will double or triple in a quick and easy way.
Those are not the only reasons why people gamble.
Personally, I spend a lot of time on gambling websites and online casinos just because it is entertaining and I have fun being there. I don't spend too much money though.
I spend few bucks daily, therefore, it doesn't matter if I win or lose. I just enjoy it.
It’s appalling that so many people don't believe in gambling as a form of entertainment. The OP who mentioned 2 reason people gamble without adding entertainment definitely didn't carry out his research.

I have been gambling for years and I do it purely for entertainment. Those who play for fun will never have a reason to borrow but the greedy gamblers would go to any extent which is really very bad. I can't recall having any bad experience gambling because my intentions have been defined rightly. How can a player borrow money to play and expect to make profit when he is psychologically he would be disturbed knowing the risk involved. I am glad that stories like this are coming out because new gamblers would learn from it.
5033  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🐺WOLF.BET - Provably fair dice game 🎲 $1,000 Daily Race💰7-day streak bonus🔥 on: October 27, 2019, 09:20:26 AM
Hidden profiles don't exist only in Wolf.bet. They exist in all of the gambling websites. For example, I know in the last contest of Windice there were 5 hidden profiles in top 10.
I agree it is existing everywhere. But, it is not the "hidden" part that really bothers me, it is the way hidden is used, why can't it be anything other than "hidden" in the lists and from the looks, why can't it be "player23523" instead of "hidden", your real life username could be "Joe" or "Michael" or whatever and when you enable the hidden option you would look like "player235235" instead of just "hidden". Isn't that better for everyone involved?

The person who wants to be hidden is still hidden and the people who want to see who is on the list all the time still gets to see who is on the list all the time, everyone literally gets whatever they want in this situation. There is literally no other reason than ease of use for this, website can just make you "hidden" instead of my version and the coding of it is easier. That's it.
5034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst Day of My LIFE - Dice on: October 26, 2019, 07:43:35 PM
it is not shocking to know that losing money makes people crazy and that too continuously. Things really become worst when gamblers borrow money and lose that too. It is best to never play this game.
Yes, stories about losses on gambling is all over this forum and unfortunately no one is ready to learn those lessons for free of cost but they want to spend their own hard earned money and time to repeat the same mistake. The perfect solution must be avoiding gambling completely or at least all the luck based games. Yes, sportsbetting or poker are good for showing our skills.

When gambling never produce positive results for us, it must be suicidal to go for gambling with loans. When you borrow money then you must be ready for facing double the problems.
5035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ieo-s and Profit on: October 26, 2019, 07:07:44 PM
Such profits can be provided by big exchanges. However, IEO  trend is now slowing down, because a much bigger amount of people have the access to token sales. Someday, IEOs would become not more profitable as IEOs and we would see something completely different.
I do not get you that much, because I don’t know how the access of much more bigger people to token will limit or slow down the growth of IEO, yes I totally agree with you that the IEO is not as hot as it was when it first came out, but I don’t think it is as a result of people’s access to the token.

The more they have access to the token is even the more that the IEO should grow, but I think the reason why IEO is slowing is that people have even realized that only IEO from Binance directly can be trusted as most of the IEO that is still being produced by other exchanges ended up being a dump coin, but binance has been able to hold a quality project but only few projects do come out of binance unlike ICO, so there is little participation of people which is not making the IEO to really move that much again.
5036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 26, 2019, 05:42:04 PM
I think Utah is not as bad as people make them out to be, it was just a bad game, they will have good games as well. Mike Conley is also a profilic defender, he always has been and matching him with Gobert inside they are the best one-two defenders in the league.

Defense is making a good comeback this year looking at how Clippers literally have 3 of the best defenders in the league out of 5 positions and they look to be the contenders. I feel like injuries will decide this year for sure, whichever team has even one more injury than the other team will be eliminated. People say clippers are great, well they do look good but if they lose even Beverley for the playoffs their championship would be in trouble, let alone kawhi and PG which would be certain.
5037  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Top Cryptocurrency Exchanges on: October 25, 2019, 07:56:22 PM
There is no point stylishly promoting that exchange here, it is a new exchange that no one will be interested in that much with all the promises that you said they have here because we have many reliable exchanges already that falls in the category of top exchanges that have a very fast and reliable transaction speed and even a very low trading fee and ever since I have been in this business, I think that binance has been the best in this area for me and I still do not see any exchanger that will be that good as much as binance is.

Your exchange may be perfect, which I would not know because I don't have the intention of trying it, but you need to go further than this stylish way of introducing them to us with your own opinion.
5038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 25, 2019, 07:21:49 PM
I wont say its unfair to Dhoni but i would put it like this " Preparation for T-20 WC next year" and I strongly believe that everyone including team management wants to give Dhoni a farewell series or game. as of now management eyeing on T-20 WC that's why they are focusing on Rishab Pant and Sanju Samson (batsman who can act as keeper) as a wicket keeper batsman. who knows if they both fail then there might be some chances for Dhoni to play in T-20 WC.
So far I have heard about farewell match and this is first time I come across about "farewell series". I believe India must be preparing for a grand farewell for Mahindra Singh Dhoni. I am not sure that t20 WC is going to venue at India, because managements would prefer a home match for farewell planning up.

Dhoni deserves big farewell in my opinion too as he won for India 3 ICC titles also having impressive records with cloves and skipper. Let's wait for any big announcement from Dhoni side on his retirements before making so many assumptions on his farewell and all other related things.
5039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 25, 2019, 05:41:45 PM
I feel like it is even a bit risky to get PG at this point. Dude is an amazing player, he has played with Westbrook for couple years and shown that he doesn't need to be the star of a team to contribute and he has still played so efficiently with another star with him that he literally got some MVP votes last year while the team was lead by Westbrook.

So, if PG could comeback and make a big difference then it is great but when you have a team that is already an amazing team and already destroying whoever they face, it feels like any change would be very dangerous. I am pretty sure they would put LWill on the sidelines again and give his minutes to PG and make LWill get his minutes from other bench to be a 6th man once again. I really hope it works out, they look like one of the best defensive teams we had this decade.

Man, you should be awarded the cryptocurrency boss for Africa the way you have been hardworking promoting cryptocurrency for Africa and I think this is really a very good news for Nigerians, which means Nigerians are really participating in cryptocurrency a lot for binance to have even spotted this country out of many countries that are in their exchange trading, and don’t be surprised that it may get to a stage too where they will actually have a separate domain for them  like they have for US.

Nobody needs to tell me how Nigerians are participating in cryptocurrency because I have quite some friends there and virtually all of them are cryptocurrency holders while some her traders. This is a very good opportunity for Africa too having their largest country in cryptocurrency trades fully.
