maybe if someday there are more places that i can spend bitcoin in real life instead of only online or if i lived in another country that people were more aware of bitcoin then i could consider receiving my salary as bitcoin but not with the current situation, that would be a hassle.

No bro don't sell the Bitcoins because halving is coming and on halving there is 90% chance of price increase. So I suggest you to wait a few days for the price increase and then you can sell your Bitcoins.....
if you are just waiting (hoping) for a price rise to dump bitcoin then you better get out now because you have no idea what bitcoin is and you are missing out on the best technology in the financial world. and thinking this way will always lead to panic selling because people like this are just waiting for the profit $$$ to dump and get out and with slight dip they panic about missing out and start dumping. |

you can get way better result by investing in only 2-3 of altcoins that you choose carefully and buy them when they are at the lowest rather than buying them randomly.
this is trading after all and you can actually see the rises and falls of the coins and if you can detect the low price and enter at that point then you can make a good profit by selling at the highest.

forum ranks are just ranks showing how much time you have spent on the bitcointalk forum and it has no more information than that. i even go as far as saying trust rating system is not showing anything for 100%.
all of these things are created for you to see and make a better decisions based on these information that you get.

I don't see alot of panic selling right now. Bitcoin price is staying relatively the same for this past weekend at high $600's. That wouldn't case a mass sell off. Maybe if it dropped all the sudden below $490's then I can see that happening.
there is no panic selling at the moment and there wont be any, in my opinion the price will only grow from now on and no one will be selling the bitcoins, at least thats what i hope for i'm afraid that is not going to happen anytime soon. the price is still volatile and if there is quick rise after the halving there surely will be panic sellers that will drive the price down. and there are still a lot of newbies in the bitcoin market who have invested a lot of money and will panic with a single FUD or change in price and will start selling their coins to the whales who caused the dip. |

Let me have a different advise as to most of them are suggesting a common option which is signature campaign.
With the Internet today, that provides various of information pertaining to all sorts of fields, nothing is impossible.
If you want to have a steady income passively, i suggest go for Youtube channel/Adsense strategy. You can earn by advertising, uploading unique and personal videos that contains content that you think would go viral across the world wide web. Gather and establish your typical market of group of subscribers inclined to your videos of interest. After that enable the Monetization feature of you account. Link you account to adsense.
Continually upload more videos as time goes on, make some videos that grabs the interest of the majority of you subscribers or invite more subscribers. I'd probably say in a span of 4 - 5 months of exerting you skills and efforts, everything will payoff.
Many Vbloggers had quited their occupations, and pursued with their hobbies and interest on capturing videos which relate to their desire and passion, and they are gaining profit from it at the same time. Momentarily your youtube channel's profitability increases as the numbers subscribers increase as well depending on your target audience.
I would say.. having this field and investing time and your skills through it. You will have a steady income in the future while also enjoying the luxury of your time, being the boss of you own, and most of all, obtaining the popularity you never expected. You'll be famous on short notice.
Thanks for the concrete advise but I am skeptical if I can earn through youtube as field is not really connected to IT and programming. My passion is more on numbers like trading and the like, but if you could give us here the step by step procedure on how to achieve it, that would be awesome. that's the thing, all these pages are just advice; you are not forced to or limited to doing these. you have to find what works for you and what you love doing, that is the way you can make money not any other way like following what others do! youtube video uploaders have many successful people in it but a lot unsuccessful people too because those unsuccessful people are doing the wrong thing: they are following what others do without liking it. |

I see all those people saying how they will try to short the market. I think this is a very stupid idea. You sell at 750 thinking "well that's it", by tomorrow when I wake up, we will be correcting hard at 600s again".
But then, you wake up and price is 850 and you feel suicidal.
That's why it's better to hold. With Bitcoin, you NEVER know where the ceiling is. Nailing is being lucky, and I don't want to rely on that much luck, I value my bitcoins too much to gamble them like that.
this risk always exists in bitcoin market and it also works both ways meaning it can also go down the next morning you wake up and feel suicidal if you have bought the previous day so if you can't handle the risks then you shouldn't trade at all. but in general i am a long term hodler so i won't just sell in these low prices  |

the only effect halving can have on cloud mining is that there would be a lot more cloudmining services that will spring out of nowhere and start advertising to get new victims in their scammmy service and because of price rise a lot more victims will fall for the trick because they would want to earn more and scammers always use this greed to fool you.

There were two weeks that had not been paid: 1) 6/27 (it's the week bot has not been reset from) 2) 7/4 (I believe). This payment should be for that 6/27 payment I believe. So were moving twords good again new need bot to reset and that 2nd week paid and were all set again. Let's hope that was not a one-off "donation", and we will see the wallet filled again tomorrow. Right now there's 0.0867 BTC in that wallet... Marco's severance pay, lol the campaign wallet has been that one starting with 16pe... and it has around 0.4 BTC in it. also since last payment was on 24 June this payment we received was for 27 June and that would leave 4 of July to be paid. and also bot should be reset. |

i believe that gambling sites have the best affiliate payment programs these days, although any program that you join, the result will fall under what you do about it and how much you can advertise and be successful. i personally have experience with primedice.com affiliate and got a couple of refs but didn't spend much time on that. |

the halving day's price is of no significance. and it is not possible to predict it either so saying anything would be somewhat pointless at this point.
but in general bitcoin price will rise after the halving. all that talk about supply and demand should show their effect after the halving actually takes place and reward is halved which makes the new coins daily dump smaller.

as long as you have access to the old wallet (both wallet file and the 1.8 wallet installed) and your wallet password you have access to all your funds without any worry.
if you have trouble upgrading it to 2.5 and higher just create a new wallet with your other computer using the new Electrum version and then go back to other computer (1.8 version) and export all your private keys and then transfer and import these in the new wallet by sweeping them.

i can say that bitcoin is a very good thing to trade but it many not be the best thing from time to time. there are some times in the bitcoin history that there are good opportunities for profit but also there are down times, which makes the market boring and stable.
but in general i find trading crypto currencies in general to be the best thing especially altcoins that can go up more than 100% in one day.

i wouldn't do it even if i had the money, or given the funds to do it because i lack the most important thing to be successful for creating a new gambling site and that is the "experience".

my experience with paypal is not trustworthy. long time transactions. sometimes not even complete.
whether it is trustworthy or not, you have to agree that PayPal is being used a lot more than bitcoin. although the reason for that is the fact that paypal is working with fiat and have been around much longer time but this will change in the future when bitcoin got some solid footsteps in the world or at least online and bitcoin will soon replace paypal in a couple of years. |

it is hard to say what the exact price or even range of price would be by the end of this year because a lot of things will happen in the meantime that can change the course of everything and lead to a different price. but i do believe that price would surely be higher than $650 and depending on how things will going to be like it may even be above $1000
