A lot of big sells will increase supply and the price will drop. I think this would be temporary but it could definitely happen. I'm sure that in the past this has happened intentionally and unintentionally. Some people can make huge profits if they know how to manipulate the price like this.

I don't see alot of panic selling right now. Bitcoin price is staying relatively the same for this past weekend at high $600's. That wouldn't case a mass sell off. Maybe if it dropped all the sudden below $490's then I can see that happening.

there is no panic selling at the moment and there wont be any, in my opinion the price will only grow from now on and no one will be selling the bitcoins, at least thats what i hope for

What if somebody will make a huge dump and sell it all the way to earn some profits because of this rally in bitcoin, and someone sees it and do that same thing. Is there any effect on bitcoin when someone to this,?
Of course there will be a significant effect to the monetary value of bitcoin. If one is going to sell his bitcoin he will sell it at a certain price, there will be buyers who will bid for the price. The agreed price to buy and sell will affect the market price. It will possibly go down or up depending on the buyer and seller transaction.

You can trust the Chinese in China to continue buying up the coins and driving up demand.
Wow sbtctalk,it seems you have a lot of trust to China,i wouldn't say the same phrase that fast. Im afraid that China is not an obstacle for bitcoin to fall, when panic selling kicks in. When someone tries to sell really big amount of anything, nothing will help and we will have price fall.

But by how much nobody would know this until it happens. I wouldn't have trust in any one when it comes to bitcoins or money.

there is no panic selling at the moment and there wont be any, in my opinion the price will only grow from now on and no one will be selling the bitcoins, at least thats what i hope for i'm afraid that is not going to happen anytime soon. the price is still volatile and if there is quick rise after the halving there surely will be panic sellers that will drive the price down. and there are still a lot of newbies in the bitcoin market who have invested a lot of money and will panic with a single FUD or change in price and will start selling their coins to the whales who caused the dip.
|
Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip. Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

If I consider this halving rise and those you have sold when the price rose to 760$ I would not say it as panic selling. I will call it a smart mover because at certain point it would have rose and then the dip which came till 630$ and though now its at 675$. But you got your profit earned so good thing to sell.

I do not think it is a good idea to sell at the $780 and you do not buy back at $600 or below. The price will rise in long term.

Panic selling (or coordinated selling) has begun. Are you all ready to buy?

Looks like a either a bunch of idiots are panic selling or a big whale is taking a big dump to create fomo and shake cheap hands, then buy back in hard at a discount before the mega halving pump, which will probably happen a big after the halving and not the same day.

It sometimes happens, you can really feel something like that ( a big whale ) dumping prices even when trading EURUSD,i have found out myself in trouble few times when big players step in for real big job.

I am sure 1 or more whales caused the morning dump. Then over the day panic sellers (among them whales) started to sell which triggered a snowball effect. The new price will be clear in a matter of days.

thats because there are no panic sell right now in my opinion, i think people will be buying their bitcoins from now on only and that is going to be great because the price is going to go up a lot

But some traders make it advantage to boost their income even in a small amout of profit.

Cause everything is okay nowdays, price is stable and people just calm, if something will go wrong + or - 10% of price, people will start selling as one.

I think the price of bitcoin still be stuck in the price level of $ 600 as volume or demand bitcoin is big enough and can cover alternating panic selling that occurred earlier
