5041  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers are betting on Trotting and Marbles due to Coronavirus on: April 15, 2020, 10:12:28 AM
And as for the article related to what OP shared, trotting is popular in Sweden. For the record, Sweden currently has 11,445 confirmed cases on which have 1,033 death and 381 recoveries. Australia, one of the countries where horse racing is also popular (also on trotting) has 6,400 confirmed cases on which have 61 deaths and 3,598 recoveries.

How come they can freely play sports? Or maybe it was done in another country? I can't think of another country or region that is COVID-free that this kind of sport is popular.

Despite big number of confirmed cases, there is no quarantine in Sweden. Restaurants, shops work as usual, there is many people on streets and parks without face masks. Only events with more than 50 people is banned. So, they even play football friendly games without spectators.
Don't knowvabout Australia, but from stats that you've posted, situation doesn't looks bad in their country, so maybe such events is allowed.

By the way @freebitco.in was this kind of work really allowed on your platform? Please click the link below:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5240480.0

I feel I need to report this because I have a feeling it's really a fraud in a sense.
Offcourse it's not allowed. It's called faucet abuse. Reporting these things is almost pointless, because there is no way to know User ID's of that person. But Freebitco.in fighting with these abusers daily and they ban them sooner or later.
It's also very likely that's just scam attempt and this user selling not working method to abuse faucet.
5043  Other / Off-topic / Re: Paying whatever you can salvage to blow my head off cause life's a bitch. on: April 14, 2020, 11:11:13 PM
Dude, please don't do that. Suicide isn't a solution. You're given just one life - don't waste it. You said that you don't care anymore, but if it would true, you probably wouldn't post that here. I understand that your situation is complicated, but I'm sure that better that problems will be gone one day, just don't give up and prove that these people were wrong.
I'm not psychologist and I don't know how I can help you. But I'm sure that there is people around you who can help.
5044  Other / Meta / Re: BUG? No previous posts showing under my own profile. on: April 14, 2020, 10:49:22 PM
It's not first time when I see similar thing in post history. When you post very long code, whole code stays in one line and it makes you post history to look like this.
It's not a big and very important issue, but it would be nice if theymos would fix it.
5045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: April 14, 2020, 10:31:19 PM
So...  Anybody know if some of the races are gonna go as scheduled?  I think F1 could be the deadest sport in the middle of the outbreak.
Seems that France GP will be postponed too, because all public events are forbidden in France until middle of July.
It feels like this F1 season won start at all. Well maybe in autumn they will be able to held races, probably without spectators. But there a lot of crazy changes in calendar will be needed, with races almost every weekend. It will be nightmare in terms of logistics.
5046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: April 14, 2020, 10:19:02 PM
I think what @buwaytress was trying to imply is how will the players breathe well when wearing any form of mask. I mean football is a sport that requires excess breathing and having masks on will make things so hard for the players.

I have worn masks in the past while working in a pharmaceutical Industry and trust me, despite just not doing any strenuous work in the lab, breathing in and out is not comfortable. Now imagine someone running while wearing it.
These masks looks nice, but probably it's just a joke what @cygan posted. I can't imagine football players playing with masks. First, these masks would become wet very soon, probably they would have to change it every 5-10 minutes. And wearing face masks on football game would be pointless thing because it won't protect players. Football is not contactless sport...
5047  Economy / Reputation / Re: WHERE IS TMAN? for 1 month of inactivity 🤔🤔 on: April 14, 2020, 10:07:11 AM
Need to be clear again, I made a thread about TMAN which is not active because it is the current situation that really makes me have to make this thread.

Inactive users do have their personal lives like TMAN.
Yeah, current situation in the world is strange and worrying. So, I understand that when user disappear during these strange times, it raises questions like in your post. But as already said, it's common thing for TMAN that he "disappear" sometimes. But now it's good to know that he is fine.
5048  Economy / Reputation / Re: Cleobet: Another betb2b (1xbet/1xbit) clone - Flag to be supported on: April 13, 2020, 10:05:53 PM
They got some more complaints and questions that they failed to answer, and guess what - they just looked their ANN thread. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5237705.60
So, if you can't respond to accusations, putting head into sand and ignoring everything is best option now...
5049  Economy / Reputation / Re: WHERE IS TMAN? for 1 month of inactivity 🤔🤔 on: April 13, 2020, 09:58:21 PM
As other people mentioned, it's pretty much common thing for TMAN. He don't spend 365 days in year on forum. It's frequent thing that he don't post for few weeks on months.
OP, I understand that you had good intentions and was concerned about TMAN, but I'm not sure making threads about users who become inactive is needed. Unless they gone very strangely and questionable. People have life outside forum, so it's understandable that they disappear sometimes.
5050  Other / Off-topic / Re: help for the affected crypto users. on: April 13, 2020, 09:41:12 PM
So, what exactly you're offering? I'm sure that some of forum members lost their jobs and were forced to sell their crypto in this difficult situation.
But I'm not sure how we can help them. I agree with user above that's not forum issue. It's more task for governments and local charities to help them. And helping to forum members probably would increase number of scam attempts. Because there is no way to provevthat they really need help.
5051  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers are betting on Trotting and Marbles due to Coronavirus on: April 13, 2020, 09:31:44 PM
I have watched some marble races on Youtube few weeks ago, but hell, I'm not that desperate to bet on it Cheesy. It's interesting how they determine odds, because it's completely random thing which marble will win.
Trotting - well, I had to Google to see what this term means. In simple words, it's good old horse racing. But betting on horse races always been quite a big and popular thing among gamblers. But when there is not much other sport events, people who never bet on it before started to show interest. But as I see, there is not many horse races in action now because of pandemy.
5052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: April 13, 2020, 09:13:18 PM
Yes, it's to early to write-off Dembele, he is still young. But I don't expect that he will show something what we expected in Barcelona. His attitude, injuries - I don't see his future in Barcelona. There is always big risk to buy young player for such big money. In current situation it will be difficult to sell him, but I think it will be possible when world will return to normal life.
5053  Other / Meta / Re: why hoarding Smerits? on: April 13, 2020, 06:03:07 PM
Oh, we didn't had thread with complaints about merit system for a quite long time. OP, I think you're wrong.
Quote
IMHO all this is leading to the over all quality decay of this prestigious forum, various new members are migrating to other forums where it is much more easier to rank up.
It's OK, and it actually was one of points of merit system. Users who are making quality posts aren't leaving this forum because they aren't struggling to get merits and rank-up. While users who can't make good posts and don't get merits, it's not a problem that they are leaving, because in most cases they don't contribute anything to forum.
But can you tell where they are going to, because there isn't many alternative forums, especially these which have things like signature campaigns. Porobably only Cryptotalk comes as closest alternative.

Quote
One solution from my side is we can modify the merit system by making Smerits in the multiple of 5, So that the minimum merits one can give and receive is 5 from single user. This will lead to the change in minimum numbers of merit requires for jr member and members but I am sure that will speed up the much needed change.
I don't think it's good idea. I think it may increase abuse of merit system. Also, in first place, why do we need to rush rank-up proccess?

Oh, I remember when I used Neobux PTC. Without referrals you can get something like $0.02/day, so it's huge waste of time.
Yeah, people who earn less than $1 probably don't have smartphone and internet connection. But even if you live in very poor country, I think it's not worth to click faucets and PTC all day long, unless you have thousands of referrals. It's waste of time for minimal reward. If you have device with internet connection, there is so many better ways how can make money online.

Haha, you tested Neobux from the 21st century? Cheesy

Back then they used to pay 1 cent per ad, up to 2 cents. But their Premium membership was pretty steep at 75 bucks a year and your luck depended on the referrals because rotating them slowly added up to the expenses.
Well, it was 5-6 years wgo, so I don't remember exactly. IIRC, there was about 20 ads per day available, each worth $0.002 if I'm not mistaken.
It was possible to rent referrals, but they were bots who didn't clicked many ads that you wouldn't reach ROI.
5055  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Intro to campaign managing on: April 12, 2020, 09:54:19 PM
I don't want to discourage you, but I'm not sure about your perspectives in campaign management. Now there is simply way more signature campaign managersvthan available campaigns. Most campaign mangers, even experienced ones are struggling to get hired. Most of campaigns now are managed by just 2 most popular managers. For new manager without experience it's extremely difficult to get a job.
Offcourse, there is altcoin blunties, but I think it's not worth to look at this area. There is just too many scams, so risks both for manager and participants is too big.
There is few new managers who started in 2019 and got hired by few companies, but they'we been around on forum for fewvyears already. So, you may try your luck when it will be right time. You won't loose nothing by just trying Wink.
5056  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos, may be a custom title please. on: April 12, 2020, 09:35:17 PM
Either it will be custom title or badge, I don't see any reasons why it would be bad idea. It's always sad to hear about Bitcointalk member passing away, but that's a life and we can't do anything about it. Members who left their mark in Bitcointalk history, like Bruno or Zepher should be honoured.

I get the idea. But What I'm saying is even freerolling is a better way of getting that very small amount of faucet for minimal work. PTC and captcha is time-consuming, and then you gotta deal with all that spam AND expose yourself to malware.

Everyone has a skill. Instead of spending hours a day collecting faucets, and possibly earning what, $1? Let's say you count in all the electricity costs, maybe you get $1 a day. I would rather go out there and get a job that pays me $1 an hour. I know there are people in the world who still earn below $1 a day but these guys don't have a device to connect to the internet for faucets.

If you go, do an honest job that teaches you new skills and experience, you could buy far more bitcoin than you would spending an entire day at faucets and PTC.

My last deleted post was quite long time ago - it was on 2nd September 2019. And there probably was even 1 year period without deleted posts. I don't have many posts deleted - I just found 8 notifications about deleted posts and few of them come from self-moderated topics.

5060  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Coronavirus: International Updates on: April 10, 2020, 10:11:32 PM
All you can do is spot where is spreading faster, and where the recoveries % is higher to guestimate better or worse results. There are various sites giving pretty graphics and animations from this data.

Yes there is one country that halted the virus since January: North Korea. But who is going to verify that? They closed their (very tight) borders around the time the Wuhan outbreak from the marketplace got widely known.

Its clear that those countries that didn't adopt strict isolation have the most cases and deaths.
There is more countries than just North Korea without confirmed cases. It's Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Lesotho, Comoros and some islands in Oceania.
I doubt that information about North Korea is real. Despite imposing strict restrictions early, it's very likely that virus csme from China. It's their main trading partner and they have long border with it. And I doubt that they are even testing people. I read that 180 soldiers died in March, but obviously there is no information about COVID-19.
In Turkmenistan situation is really weird. Word coronavirus is officially banned in this country and you can be even sent to jail for wearing face mask in public. So, I doubt that we can trust that there is zero cases in this country.
While islands in Oceania is safer place. Population is small, it's isolated and not many people came here from other countries.
