5061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PoW coins apart from Ethereum aren't that bad on: September 10, 2022, 07:17:10 PM
Fam, are you looking 👀 at ravencoin performance this days? It feels good to see another poW coin performing this well in a bear market, it's same with ergo too but ravencoin just surge much more, 0.02$ to 0.05$ this is great. Wink  Wink  Wink

I've long been saying that I thought Ravencoin would likely be the coin that steps up for miners looking for a new PoW coin.  The problem is that nobody actually uses Ravencoin for anything, so this seems a bit too much like an obvious pump to me.  There's probably still some time for the price to run though.  Typically Ravencoin has traded up to around $0.1 when it bubbles, so I could see it hitting that level before miners start pouring in to dump.  I was considering buying in around $0.02 but didn't get around to it.  Looks like other people didn't wait.
5062  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing for a real Assets on: September 10, 2022, 07:10:53 PM
While Going through the book Rich dad, poor dad my mind refrain back to this; INVESTING FOR A REAL ASSET

And it says a true luxury is a reward for investing in and developing a real asset.having read that I was contemplating and as well need clarification for this.If BTC is an asset.because it was said that an asset is money in your pockets,so how does BTC relate to being a real asset, and what is a real asset and how do you invest for a real Assets.

I don't think that Bitcoin would be considered a real asset in this context.  I believe he's talking about things tied to real businesses or other sources of real world income.  For example, rental properties or stocks of longstanding profitable companies that pay dividends.  In spite of what people will try to convince you of, Bitcoin is a speculative asset and likely not something that any financial advisor would recommend that you build a portfolio around.

Still have around a dozen or so of these bad boys left.  These are the largest "proof-like" coins I've made and they shine real nice.  Smiley

I've also just ordered a new phone, so hopefully I'll be able to capture some decent photos of these coins in the near future.  Don't sleep on these beauties.  Once they're gone, they're going to be very difficult to find on the secondary market as people don't let them out of their collections often...
5064  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin could drop to $10,000 by 2023 as the Fed normalizes interest rate policy on: September 10, 2022, 07:02:57 PM
I think this is not only a possibility, but a likelihood.  I'd love to say that the recent drop to $18K was the low for the cycle, but the volume just doesn't support that.  I want to see a massive volume spike as we touch lows in order to confirm it.  We didn't see that.  If you're trying to time the market, it might be best to wait a while longer.  If you're dollar cost averaging in with regular buys, now is definitely the time to be stacking through the consolidation phase.
5065  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Stake.com is a scam - I lost my money for ''Money laundering'' on: September 10, 2022, 06:58:10 PM
Only because I withdraw couple of time without wager.

I have to wonder how many times is a couple of times?  I would guess it has to be a lot in order for you to have your account locked like this.  Let's be honest, this is a tiny amount of money for Stake and I don't think they're trying to scam you out of it.  If it is a misunderstanding, you should explain yourself to Stake and ask for the funds.  If it isn't a misunderstanding and you think you're being taken advantage of, post all the details including the addresses you used to deposit/withdraw and your account history so that others can let you know what you did wrong and maybe help you recover funds.
5066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 10, 2022, 06:54:06 PM
I just read an article that said the Lakers are considering trading Anthony Davis for Damian Lillard.  I'm pretty sure these reporters are just making things up for clicks now, as I don't see either team wanting to make that trade.  The idea of LeBron and Dame on the same team is pretty exciting though.  I put a 1% chance on that happening, but it's still fun to think about.  They're both killers on the court and I imagine would make one hell of a playoff run no matter who else is around them.
5067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 10, 2022, 06:52:22 PM
I dont believe Chimaev did not do weight. He is at the gym 24/7. And he did not do 3kg (or how much was it?)? He could have cut his beards, really. I think he has so many guys with him, that they could easily help him to cut extra weight. And Khamzat, even if it would be dangerous, would cut weight, die and then revive on Sunday.

Now Khamzat got a present fron UFC. Extra pay for fighting different opponent, “good” weight and Holland that told that he does not know how to wrestle and is there just for cheque.

I am glad Nate has a better opponent - Ferguson. Those two have almost identical chances to win. God there are going to be so many slaps in their fight.

I find it hard to believe that Chimaev could have screwed up his big shot so badly.  It's not like he didn't know a week ahead of time that he wasn't going to make weight...  It smells a bit of conspiracy.  I find it easier to believe that they both wanted different opponents and hatched this scheme to pull a fast one on Dana.  Even the backstage fight could have been to help sell the scheme.  Chimaev seems set for an easy victory.  I'm not so sure about Nate.  I never think he's going to win though so maybe he'll surprise again.  I think my money is going on Chimaev, even though he pretty much ruined this UFC event with his lack of professionalism.  He's the new UFC heel.
5068  Economy / Economics / Re: MicroStrategy Buys $250M in Bitcoin, Calling the Crypto ‘Superior to Cash’ on: September 10, 2022, 09:22:31 AM
^ $500,000,000 is no small buy. It shows confidence that the Bitcoin price is close to the bottom. I’m glad that Saylor isn’t letting the tax attacks against him slow his role in acquiring BTC. Now that Microstrategy is buying again, I think that eases the concern that they were having liquidity issues.
5069  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 10, 2022, 01:59:01 AM
I guess the question now is who is going to win between Diaz and Ferguson?  It seems pretty amateurish to change the main event the night before the fight, but this is the UFC...  Gotta give them credit for rolling with the punches and putting on a show no matter what happens.  I think this is a better matchup for Diaz anyway.  After seeing how Chimaev missed weight and still was trying to act like a tough guy, I'm not sure I care about him anymore.  Was glad to hear the crowd booing him.
5070  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think that US is instigating war between China and Taiwan? on: September 09, 2022, 09:04:33 PM
The United States certainly has a way of backing the freedoms of countries trying to cause problems for our international competitors.  It's hard to view this as the US trying to promote freedom and common sense says that it's being done just to put a thorn in the side of those we feel are a threat to our economic dominance.  It seems like the international community is growing tired of this practice, and has been since the last Bush administration.  I think it will take a generation or two before this practice is ended though.  There are just too many old career politicians for real change to occur anytime soon.
5071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your plan with Bitcoin? on: September 09, 2022, 08:56:53 PM
My plan is to build cool things, help onboard friends and family, accumulate Bitcoin, and wait for a massive overbought opportunity to sell a stack and spend my free time doing good things I want to see happen in the world.  It's tough to know when enough is enough, but I guess we all have our own numbers in mind.  I just hope that my little projects and onboarding attempts make a difference to someone out there.  Would be great to know I've helped someone avoid eating crickets in the future.
5072  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 09, 2022, 08:54:22 PM
Suddenly the market seems a little too bullish, but I suspect that the recent FUD campaign over mtgox funds being released (it was clear they weren't going to be to any of us claimants, but for whatever reason the rumors were strong) led to a buying opportunity that the big boys couldn't resist.  There's definitely a lot of people on the sidelines waiting for the next bull run to start.  I'm not one of them though.  Dollar cost averaging is your friend and now is the time to be doing it.
5073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul VS Anderson Silva October 29th on: September 09, 2022, 08:52:38 PM
I was surprised to hear Dana White say that this is a good fight.  He seems to think that Anderson Silva can outbox Jake Paul even with the age difference.  I'm not so sure, but the fact that Dana thinks it's going to be a good fight gives me a little hope that Anderson Silva can overcome the obvious hurdles in his path to win this fight.  As much as I want to see a KO, I really hope that Jake doesn't KO Silva.  It's such a bad look to fight with that age difference...  I really hope Silva's old man strength comes through.
5074  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 09, 2022, 08:50:50 PM
Chimaev needs to be careful, if the rumours are true he's the one that caused the altercation behind the scenes, and then to miss weight, and just smile shaking it off isn't a good look. I'm not saying be a company man (although that has proven to be a good tactic for many fighters), but seriously show some respect.

Honestly, if you miss weight by that much it should be an automatic forfeit. So, not just cancelling the fight, but forfeiting it. Since the other person has put in the work, yet you missed by that amount. That's ridiculous. I'm not sure if he's underestimating this bout, or he just wants to make quick work of Diaz by knocking him out, and the added weight would help with that.

What's the odds on Chimaev gassing, and Diaz actually having a chance through volume? I'd love to see that honestly. Chimaev goes all out in the first round, fails to finish Diaz, and then Diaz just out points him or potentially even finishes him. It would be the ultimate finger from Diaz. People underestimating him saying he's going to get crushed, obviously him, and Dana not seeing eye to eye any more, and Chimaev being the fighter that Dana is putting the most stock into. It would almost be poetic if it played out like that.

There's no way the fight goes on with Chimaev missing weight by that much.  That's so unprofessional that I didn't even see it coming.  Chimaev serious lost respect and possibly his big shot at being the guy in the UFC.  The fact he's smiling just shows that it hasn't set in yet how much he just screwed over his career.  No doubt Dana White is pissed and already looking for the next big thing to put Chimaev on the mat.  It was wrong for Dana to put them up against each other in the first place, so I think this falls in the category of play stupid games and win stupid prizes.
5075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 08, 2022, 07:17:48 PM
No doubt offensive production, but Melo also needs to adjust to his defense, younger star might expose him and take that advantage, giving him a tough game, treating him as the weak side to make or create a play on his side.
kind of coach doesn't want to see having someone inside as a liability.

Seems not appropriate for me to expect Carmelo Anthony to adjust his defense at the current point of his career. He is almost on the retirement period. Why expect him to adjust on his weak side wherein the best thing he can do is to take advantage of what he's capable to do. The roster can be balance with both offense and defense. No need that all players are good in defense especially if Melo is on the lineup.

If struggling, then sit him out. He is currently averaging less playing time now compare to his usual. No need to give him 30MPG or something.

Yes, the league already knows that Carmelo is more of an offensive kind of player and even if he tries on adjusting his weak side, that will just mess his entire play because he will mostly try to improve his weakness rather than boosting up his strengths. Along with that fact, the whole league is looking at him as an additional asset in terms of offense because he can still give good numbers at his age.

The problem is that he's a liability on defense.  He had flashes of effort last year, but it's clear that he's out there to hit some threes and pad his stats.  I'm fine with it, but he's going to have difficulty landing an offer from a franchise he wants to be a part of.  Dame got him into Portland and LeBron got him into LA, but I think he's running out of friends to get him roster spots and I personally believe he's been blackballed from the NBA, so without a superstar making a push to sign him, he may have played his last game in the NBA.
5076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🤯 Trust Dice | sorry but we reduced your winnings by 90% but it’s okay 👌 on: September 08, 2022, 07:15:47 PM
OP, Trust Dice's official representative here, Coinbox1, has already responded to your allegations with a lengthy explanation. It's on the Batman x TrustDice! Win Free spins and more! official thread, where you also raised your concern.

It seems the official representative of Trust Dice has counter allegations against you. You're now being accused of having ill-intentions. You're now being accused of misleading us with partial screen grabs.

Would you care to respond to it?

It seems like the time to have a dialogue is here for the OP, but no response on the allegations that they are using partial screen grabs to mask their intention of defrauding the casino.  I think we're owed a bit of an explanation and to see your response to these allegations.

The amount of money is so small, I imagine they've had to pay their employees more to deal with this.  That leads me to believe they aren't doing something crazy, but feel that they acted appropriately and all procedures were followed.

Watching how this develops from here.
5077  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Elon Musks Plan to make the world multiplanetary is just waste of time and money on: September 08, 2022, 07:12:00 PM
A lot of things waste a lot of money in this world.  Think of all the poor people in this world who are taken advantage of by having them value designer clothes or take loans to buy fancy cars.  Elon's plan will not only make him and his investors a ton of money, but it will also increase the chances of humanity surviving long term exponentially.  Even if it is a failure, it's his own money and that of those who believe in him that he's wasting.

If you want to talk about stupid wastes of time and money...  Think of all the people who wait outside shoe outlets for hours to pay insane prices for shoes...  How many man hours and dollars are wasted there?  Elon > Nike
5078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Rise of Mobile Gambling Is Leaving People Ruined and Unable to Quit on: September 08, 2022, 06:41:05 PM
It is obvious that with these technological advancements also come some negativities for a lot of people, great example outlined here are gamblers who cannot control their gambling urges. Usually self-exclusion solves this problem. But there are still cases wherein people can access other gambling platforms due to a weak self-exclusion system. By this time, it would be best if the gambler would seek advice from a psychologist regarding their condition. Intervention really is the key and perhaps the last resort for addicted gamblers if they keep on finding ways to gamble even though they want to stop.

I think this falls under the category of a fool and their money are quickly parted...  Obviously whenever there's a chance you can win a ridiculous sum of money, someone out there is losing it.  Gambling is a good example of that.  A lot of people have to lose a lot of money in order for the casino and all of it's employees to make money.  It's the gamblers that pay for it all with the hope that they're the exception.  I honestly think sports betting is the only fair way to gamble and even then, the odds are setup so the house never loses.
5079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MMA Info and Predictions - Bellator, KSW, PFL, ONE... on: September 08, 2022, 06:36:50 PM
I feel a little bad for Nate Diaz.  He's got one hell of a fight coming up and his opponent is likely to smash him.  I don't hear anybody thinking Nate can win this and it's clear that he's being thrown to the wolves for wanting out of his contract so he could fight Jake Paul.  I'm excited to watch the fight and am hoping for an upset from the Stockton native (close to where I grew up), but I honestly don't think he has a chance.  I just hope he loses without taking too much damage, since the UFC is doing him dirty.
5080  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul VS Anderson Silva October 29th on: September 08, 2022, 06:34:20 PM
To be honest, I find this fight unfair for Silva because he deserves a better opponent which is a real boxer. We all know that he's a promising boxer so it will be better for him to face someone who has the same stamina and same sports description. For me, Jake Paul's sports are quite different from Silva's so he should be facing an opponent that would fit his stamina as well.

I would agree that this is an unfair fight for Silva.  He's clearly too old to be boxing and he was never a great boxer to begin with.  Watching his boxing matches, he almost never defends himself and relies on throwing haymakers at unskilled opponents.  This should be an easy win for Jake despite what people will try to bill this as.  MMA, Silver wins easily.  Boxing, I think he's a huge underdog.  His skills are less polished than Jake's, he's old as hell, and he hasn't been training like Jake has.  He's throwing his reputation to the wolves for a paycheck.  I hope it's a big one for him.
