^^ Well you can't blame someone who put some blame on Vogel. He is the anchor of the team so he has some liability as well as how the Lakers turn out to be this season.

I think this is one of Lebron's disappointing season as a player, too much hype and expectation on the team they build around him and Davis, but it sucks, lol. They are now back to the drawing board next season and maybe this will be his final run as a Laker.

I think Vogel should carry a lot of the blame. The minutes he was giving Dwight Howard made no sense all season. Benching Westbrook down the stretch to basically mentally torture the dude. Rob Pelinka should take some of the blame also. The Westbrook trade didn’t work out and the Nunn signing was a worst case scenario. LeBron had a great year. AD proved he can’t stay healthy. Carmelo did better than anyone thought he would. They just couldn’t get it together. Makes you think we should be sending the NBA champions to the Olympics instead of trying to throw a team together.
6002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 08, 2022, 09:12:13 PM
Embiid has Harden and Giannis has Middleton, so I think Joker has the edge because he has no Robin helping him to achieve the success.

That's a big difference, that's why he should win the finals MVP.

Lebron makes a lot of excuses, I thought he would be able to compete in this award but his team sucks, so he will just continue to achieve individual success while the impact on his team is not seen and felt.

I'm not sure if the betting line is still open now, but 1.31 odds for the Joker is still good to take.

With the stats he’s putting up, it would be difficult to deny that Giannis is the MVP. It seems like the voters always make the mistake of giving MVPs too soon to a player and then are left with a decision on what to do going forward when that player gets better. Steve Nash, Steph Curry, Giannis, all won MVPs a season before they should have. LeBron should’ve gotten 2 of those MVPs and Shaquille O’Neal should’ve gotten one. All of those players came back with even better years and forced voters to give them more MVPs because voters wanted so bad for a new face to be at the top before it was time.

It is just sad to see LA Lakers being out of the playoff stage in this season. But they deserved this for sure. Because they haven't been that good as a team the whole season. And they deserved to be out of the title race as a result. Lebron just tried to carry the team by himself but of course it wasn't going to be enough for them. Lebron hasn't been contented with the team for a long time. They haven't built a lineup that he would like. And if they don't do this again, I wonder what Lebron is thinking of doing.

LeBron hinted that he wanted to play with Stephen Curry, and Steph responded that he's good.  I think there is less and less demand for LeBron's talents these days, as teams know they have to gut their roster to build around him if they want to win a championship.  At 37, 38 next year, there just isn't much of a reason to gut your roster to build around a guy that has maybe 3 years left in the league.

In typical LeBron fashion, he's decided to sit out the rest of the year because of his ankle sprain.  He's definitely not Michael Jordan, or Kobe, but he's statistically the greatest NBA player of all time.  I'd still want MJ taking the last shot if I were in charge...
6004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 08, 2022, 07:12:21 AM
You’ve got to love the Golden State Warriors covering a 14.5 point spread over the Los Angeles Lakers. One of the easiest bets of the season and they managed to do it while letting Stephen Curry have the night off. I’m glad because I was advising people to make that bet so it’s good to not have egg on my face. Hope nobody got caught on the wrong side of that one. I guess LeBron and co are going to leave their young guys hanging to end the season. Seems fitting given their play this year.
6005  Economy / Goods / Re: ~ Buying a TESLA CYBERTRUCK with BITCOIN ~ on: April 07, 2022, 11:16:41 PM
Tesla's Cyber Rodeo event will be going down in just a couple of hours.  You can watch the live feed and get the play by play in the link below.

https://electrek.co/2022/04/07/tesla-cyber-rodeo-event-livestream-news-hub/

Nobody really has any idea what will be discussed, but there have been some clues.  Both the Cybertruck and the Semi have been spotted at the factory and can expect to be discussed during the event.  I also noticed a post on twitter showing what appeared to be a flashy entrance for a much smaller vehicle.  Difficult to tell from a low quality video with no description, but I would guess we might see and learn more about the full sized Tesla Cyberquad.  Perhaps even a price and availability date.  The kids one is hard to get ahold of, but is for sale on their website if you have Dogecoin to spare: https://shop.tesla.com/product/cyberquad-for-kids

Looks like the Lakers released Trevor Ariza today.  I'm not sure why they had such high hopes of him making a difference when it was obvious while he was with the Suns that his career in the NBA should be over.

A lot of talk about what the Lakers are going to do with Russell Westbrook has already started.  They're saying the Lakers may release him and take a 15 million dollar hit to their salary cap for the next 3 years, or they are now discussing a trade with Charlotte where Gordon Hayward and Terry Rozier end up on the Lakers...  Not sure if that would be any better, but maybe they could trade them easier than Westbrook.  It would be great if LaMelo wanted to be a Laker and get himself in that trade, but I don't think the Hornets are going to let him go for anything.
6007  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sign Up Bonuses on: April 07, 2022, 11:00:13 PM
What could be the possible caused of the companies that are not giving the sign up Bonuses?

Sign up bonuses typically have so many strings attached to them that they aren't worth signing up and trying out the service to get them and most companies probably realize this so they don't bother.  The ones that do bother are probably filled with attempted scams, user complaints about withdrawal issues, and constant questions about how to withdraw the tiny signup bonus.  I can't imagine it's worth the hassle, but maybe for a company that already has this bonus in place it isn't a big deal.  Personally, I would be wary of any company that is offering me free money if I send them money first.  It just seems like a bad idea unless you already trust the company, in which case you probably wouldn't be a new user.
6008  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Biden systematically being removed from office? on: April 07, 2022, 10:56:59 PM
I don't think he's being systematically removed from office.  I think people are just realizing that he is mentally unfit to be president and the jobs he can be relied on to complete are few and far between.  He is likely having pretty much everything done for him behind the scenes and doing his best to try and mumble his way through public appearances to not exacerbate the situation worse than he already is.  I actually feel bad for him.  We need to stop electing lifelong politicians to President at the end of their careers like it's some sort of final promotion.  One thing I will say about Obama to his credit.  I never felt like he was too senile to do the job.  What is going on with Biden is embarrassing and I hope the next 2 and a half years don't lead to continued 10%+ inflation levels before a real President can be voted in to fix this mess.
6009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 07, 2022, 10:49:33 PM
How are people feeling about McGregor's return in the 170lb weight class?  Do you think he'll be given the title fight he's asking for?  I keep seeing tweets from him every day talking about how he's going to be the first 3 weight class champion by knocking out all his opponents.  While I think that is extremely unlikely given who his opponent would be, it is fun to think about.  I'm not sure he'll even be given the chance though.  Most people don't think he can stand in the ring with Kamaru Usman but it seems like the money will be there...  I'm not sure if Kamaru Usman wants to give McGregor the punchers chance, but I think he won't be able to turn down the money.  If McGregor loses this fight, will that be the end of his UFC career?
6010  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 07, 2022, 10:45:21 PM
Whatever picks you're making for tonight, I'd make them a multi-bet and add the Golden State Warriors to win over the Los Angeles Lakers tonight.  The Lakers are without Anthony Davis, LeBron James, & Russell Westbrook.  Although with how they've played this season, maybe that might be better for their chances...  Seriously though, I don't see them winning this game tonight so if you're placing bets, consider adding this game and while it may not have fantastic odds I think it will end up being a nice little bonus.  I'm not sure I'd add them in with the point spread, but depending on what it's at when you make the bet, maybe.
6011  Economy / Collectibles / Re: *️⃣*️⃣*️⃣ - Collectibles/Wallets/NFTs/News- Master Website List -*️⃣*️⃣*️⃣ on: April 07, 2022, 06:28:50 PM
Yeah as I had mentioned I've not had much time of late to update these lists, and I figured some of the lists would be broken.  I'm currently wrapped up in studying for a financial licensing exam which completely takes over my life, but once I am finished with that I plan on going in and cleaning this list up.  Thanks for providing those links.  Yes I will also be adding links to profiles of users here who've made items but just don't have a website.

I encourage everyone to post any links/sites that are not listed out here! Please and thanks!

That is one hell of a list.  I forgot it existed.  I can see how you wouldn't be able to keep it current as how often could you be expected to check all of those sites?  This is a great resource though and I encourage everyone to check out your favorite coinmakers on the list to make sure their information is still current.  If you are a coinmaker and decide to stop operations, it would be great to go out and find lists like this to notify the maintainer.  Thanks Chi for doing this and being willing to make updates when they're brought to your attention.  The couple I checked seemed to work still and I see a lot of new sites I need to check out.  Smiley
6012  Other / Politics & Society / 2021 Tax Deadline (United States - Monday, April 18th) on: April 07, 2022, 06:22:16 PM
As the tax deadline approaches on Monday I thought I'd post a friendly reminder.  Mostly because I have just finished mine with days to spare and I felt like celebrating having this annual nightmare behind me.  I was somewhat surprised to see that online tax preparers have added a lot of information for crypto to make taxes much more simple.  Mine even linked with my exchanges and pulled in all my sales information.  That was a great help.  Granted, all of the cost basis were way off as the exchange only knows when you sent the funds to them unless you purchased there, it was still a nice head start and caught a few altcoin sales I had forgotten about.

My experience is that the cloud over crypto taxes is becoming clearer with each passing year and hopefully in a few years it's not even a concern.

What was your crypto taxes experience like compared to prior years?
6013  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 1oz .9999 Silver NastyMining Wallets (Colorized, Gold Highlighted) on: April 07, 2022, 06:15:03 PM
Well, the good thing is you have these priced in BTC, guaranteeing the FIAT value will go up!

While the price is displayed in BTC and the purchase is made using bitcoins, it is somewhat important for buyers to know that the actual cost is set in dollars.  This results in the dollar price being static while the BTC price is dynamic.  So while it may look as though prices are changing on a daily basis, that's just Bitcoin's volatility and these coins are extremely close to the same price they were originally sold for.  I would also say that it is no surprise they're doing extremely well in secondary markets, as if you priced out how much someone would charge you to make you a custom .9999 silver coin with colored epoxy design, engraved vanity address, and custom tamper proof hologram, you might find that these are underpriced by about 90%.  Smiley  If you don't own one of these sets and you collect silver, you are missing out on a hell of a deal.

WOW.. an original 2013 coin from the encyclopedia still for sale? People are selling these on ebay for $800. How many are left out of the 500? Buying Nasty pays better than S&P 500, lol.

Thanks for the kind words.  I've heard of many of my coins being sold on eBay lately and that's totally fine.  If people want to purchase from the NastyShop using BTC to sell on eBay for a profit in USD, I have no problem with that.  I like seeing my coins in different retailers.  I was wondering why suddenly I've sold 18 of these silver wallets in the last few days.  I guess the word is out.  Smiley

It does sound from the price and description that you're talking about sales of the Minted Seats though and that thread is here (I only had 3 of those sales this week, but of the original 500 produced only a double digit amount remain): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=352515.0

As secondary market sales are already heating up for these coins, I can't wait to see what happens once they all finally sell out.
6015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 07, 2022, 06:30:27 AM
Brooklyn Nets defeated New York Knicks 110-98. Durant scored 32 points and Irving 24 points and became the two top scorers of the team. When these two players are together, the team can play quite well.
The game went pretty close until the last quarter, but in the final period the Nets players played very well and widened the gap, the New York Knicks could have won this game Smiley

I don't want to down New York Knicks but they are not a good basis to show off strenght because they are not the best on the league or even qualified on the Playoffs. Nets is surely strong but they are still losing even with KD and Irving when they are against strong team such as Bucks, Celtics and even Grizzlies. I still doubtful that they can win the championship because there’s a lot of team right now that has a consistent solid games all through out this season.

The Knicks definitely have a lot of issues of their own but even without their drama they don't have the talent to match up with the Nets.  It was pretty clear they weren't going to win this one.  Durant keeping himself in the run for scoring champion, but after his last game where he scored less than 20, it's looking like Embiid's title to lose.

The big question mark on the Nets to me is Ben Simmons.  If he can come back healthy I think the Nets have a big advantage over other teams.  If not, they're going to have to rely on Durant and hope he can get them to the promise land.  He missed it last year by toenail being on the 3 point line.  He alone could carry the team without Ben and Kyrie, but hopefully he won't have to.
6016  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if all cryptocurrencies merged together? on: April 06, 2022, 04:01:32 PM
What if all cryptocurrencies are already working together like gears in a machine. Blockchains interacting with each other to move funds around the planet. This appears to be what is happening, as Bitcoin’s largest volume use case is to purchase altcoins. A future not with one chain but hundreds all constantly moving funds back and forth is the realistic crypto future for me. There’s just too much money being held in too many different chains with too much focused development for any other scenario to play out. One might argue that will be true decentralization.
6017  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 06, 2022, 03:57:08 PM
Looking at today’s games, I like the Brooklyn Nets over the New York Knicks for the battle of the big Apple and the Celtics over the Bulls. The Bulls have struggled against good teams all year so I suspect tonight will be no different and the Nets are warming up headed into the postseason and with only a 4.5 spread I think they’ll be able to cover over the Knicks. The Mavericks over the Pistons might be another good one to add to a parlay, or maybe even the Suns over the Clippers if you’re feeling lucky. Both the Nets and Suns games will be on ESPN tonight.
6018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NiceHash on: April 06, 2022, 05:12:04 AM
The alternative I suggest you is keep mining with Nicehash and learn about mining directly, you can mine ETH in a pool like Ethermine and receive in ETH, this way is more profitable than Nicehash most of time

The problem with doing that is you could be subject to higher fees when you go to move it, or you could have to wait a long time to hit the minimum and receive a payout depending on the size of your mining operation.  I've found that it's easier to only worry about handling BTC, even when mining altcoins through a service like Nicehash.  I highly recommend it and think it's well worth the fee.  I think the interface is nicer than Ethermine's to navigate as well.  Being able to easily switch to a new coin could also be useful if ETH 2.0 sends the market into a whirlwind.
6019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 06, 2022, 05:02:45 AM
The Lakers-Phoenix game is over and the Phoenix won 121-110.
With this loss and the win of the Spurs, the Lakers are officially out of the play-in tournament. The Eastern Conference's top 10 also is already there as well. Now lets just wait for the last games to be over and watch the play-in. Lakers are out.

I wouldn't have thought that was possible at the beginning of the year.  Crazy that when the team needed him the most, LeBron is on the sidelines because he rolled his ankle.  At least Westbrook is out there fighting for his team.  Seems pretty typical of what the haters have come to expect when times get tough.  I don't want to believe that the NBA is getting passed to a new generation, but this Lakers team doing as bad as they did this year is a pretty good indicator.  Now we watch and see if LeBron's strategy of sitting out games while he has a 0.1 points per game lead over Joel Embiid works out for him.
6020  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is satoshi the 3rd user registered on the forum instead of 1st? on: April 06, 2022, 04:44:56 AM
What will really blow your mind is that satoshi himself never posted on bitcointalk at all.  It was hosted on a different domain back then and it wasn't until satoshi's "disappearance" that bitcointalk came to be.  As for your question, satoshi wasn't the admin of the old forum and joined after it was up and running.  If you use the search feature you'll get a lot more detailed knowledge about exactly who started the forum and the timing involved.  In the meta section this has been discussed quite a bit over the years so you should be able to find a few detailed topics fairly easily if you search there.
