If Jesus is lord of lords, why can't he defeat the devil? I mean Satan is a fallen angel, not even as powerful as a human. Yet he seems to be unbeatable. ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) since when is an human more powerful than an angel?? just wondering Angels are sub-human and lesser beings. At least according to Catholicism and most Christian sects. It's confusing because modern westerners think of angels as more holy than humans. But they are traditionally considered simple messengers without free will. angels are not messengers they are higher beeings which sometimes act like messengers... do you really think humans have free will? maybe it is an illusion which the fallen one makes you belive Of course they are mythical beings, so you can give them any ability. But the idea of angels being higher beings is a very modern notion. In fact the word angel means "messenger" in Greek. In Hebrew and other earlier religions angels were simply called messengers. The free will question is still debated among philosophers today. I don't know the answer to that one.

Well, bitcoin is NOT an investment. It is a currency to be used on the internet. So everything is working fine. You may have been misinformed if you thought bitcoin was a get rich quick scheme. It was envisioned that you would buy them and then SPEND them to buy things. Speculating on future price is a very risky endeavor and often ends with a loss.
Bitcoin is what people will use it for. If they use it as an investment, ...it is an investment. for example, if btc will lose about 20% of price just for week then people start to invest in it. Week isn't too long interval and btc for sure will go up later. so btc may become a rich quick scheme, and if such waves of price will be repeated then more and more people start to use it. Does that mean what btc will be a good investment and what about begin to invest now? To be clear, of course you can "invest" in bitcoin. But a lot of people seem to think that it was designed as an investment vehicle of some kind. It's just money, and the price is irrelevant in terms of it's utility. I have never known anyone to be dissatisfied with bitcoin when used as designed. However the people who show up asking "What computer buttons do I press to get rich?", they also seem to loose.

Some of these are repeats... but they deserve being repeated! - Don't download programs from the Internet. This rule is difficult to follow 100%; just be aware that each new program you download and run could be the one that steals your BTC.
Have there actually been any cases of people downloading software and having their BTC coins hacked? I know there's a lot of 'automatic bitcoin' software out there that are obvious scams, but I'm saying more subtle things like Alt Coin wallets, someone downloads an Alt Coin wallet installation and all of a sudden their BTC coins are gone. Any cases of that yet? Yes. This has happened many times.

I think the real problem is that the news has become nothing more than a hook to get you to watch commercials. So no bad news or anything that might rock your boat. Certainly nothing that would spoil your shopping mood.

Don't use online wallets
So your saying not to use coinbase? What exactly is wrong with using coinbase if you transfer the bitcoin to a cold storage wallet after receiving bitcoin? I think he means for storage. The guiding principal is about control of the private key. Unless you are the only one who has the private key, you do not own any bitcoin. It's fine to use a place like coinbase if you move them to a cold wallet right away. Aloso... Some of these are repeats... but they deserve being repeated! ...
Great list bro! Thanks for this.

You can use the "ignore" feature. In any case it should not be a mods job to determine what is offensive. If someone is a child-like idiotic raciest then that's their problem, not yours and mine. Let the fools talk and dig themselves into a hole. Those people don't even count anyway.

I've always liked the theory where Jesus escaped death on the cross by using Yogic techniques learned in India to slow his metabolism pretending to be dead, and then went back to India with his family dying around the age of eighty to be burried in Kashmir.
Makes alot more sense than the other version.
I have read that this theory is widely believed in parts of India. You can even visit the Jesus tomb there.

It works like this:
1. Buyer and seller agree on a price. 2. Seller sends bitcoin to buyer. 3. Buyer is never heard from again.
OR
1. Buyer and seller agree on a price. 2. Buyer sends PayPal to seller. 3. Seller is never heard from again.

Don't get off track with alt-coins or investment schemes. Just buy bitcoin at market price from an exchange then transfer it immediately to a wallet on your computer. And do make a backup copy of your wallet.dat file that is stored in a safe location.
These are not hard rules, but may help you avoid fraud. Shared wallets or online wallets are risky. If you are not using Linux then it is even more so. Trading with PayPal or not using escrow is also a good way to loose your money. Lastly, if you loose your wallet and have no backup copy, your money is hopelessly gone.

Regulation. No company is going to sell stuff that might turn out to be illegal. The U.S. has provided some direction for retailers. That would be my guess.

I'm fed up with Israel. They seem to forget that our support ends where our mutual interests diverge. They want support for their Palestinian problem while at the same time stealing land from Palestinians. Forget it. We should not broker a deal until they stop this illegal action AND return the land that was taken.

Islam is not a religion, it's ideological platform. It was good for middle ages in comparison with european political systems, but now it's obsolete.
I'm not sure about obsolete. Islam is one of the fastest growing religions in the world. Even the idea of Islamic theocracy is growing. I see no such trends in other religions. Anyway I guess there is now no such thing as isil/isis. They are re-branded as "The Islamic State".
