5061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Gamblers! What is your excuse to avoid a game with 0% House Edge? on: December 06, 2020, 03:41:01 AM
Personally, I don't feel the difference if they have 0% house edge. I still lose my bankroll when I try to play on that game and it's just the same experience when playing other games. So I think it's just all about luck, no matter what the game is. Gambling is a form of entertainment after all, not a way to earn money from it.
5062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mind Blown Gambling Facts on: December 06, 2020, 02:47:34 AM

Slot machines as we know them today only ever give away cash – if we’re lucky enough. However, believe it or not, the original models built in the US towards the end of the 19th century used to dispense gum and tokens. It’s thought the reason why you see fruit on the reels – and why they are often referred to as fruit machines – is as a result of fruit-flavoured gum!

Source: factcity.com/facts-about-gambling

Now we all know we all thought it's just a random image picked by the manufacturer it used to be the prize for winning the slot maybe the operators change it to cash instead because they are not attracting users anymore because and they don't want gums and tokens as the prize, and it evolved int a multi million dollar industry, it's probably one of the popular games in a casino.

Money as a prize would really attract a lot of customers thinking that you can earn just by playing on that slot machine. But gamblers don't realize that it's more about luck to get that prize, it just causes a bad effect on some of them who got addicted and almost spend all of the money they earned.
5063  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you believe support and resistance still work in crypto? on: December 06, 2020, 12:43:00 AM
Yes, it is the fundamental factor of anything that can be traded on different platforms. Without it, you won't know where is the right price to set your buy or sell order. A basic knowledge about support and resistance can help you to gain profit from trading even if you're not that pro into that stuff.
5064  Economy / Economics / Re: 2021 not Looking good on: December 06, 2020, 12:00:05 AM
2021 not Looking good!

Only things what could be good are Bitcoin and cryptocurrency
Other things dont look good!

The economy will go lowest i Think.
2021 not looking good? How can you tell if 2021 won't be good for the world? From my personal point of view 2021 will be a year when life return to normal after the long 9months pandemic this year ,i don't think anything bad is going to happen even if I can't tell what the future holds, but I'm hopeful things will get better by 2021, I know the economy of alot of countroes crashed during the pandemic, but I believe 2021 will definitely good cause there will no such thing as covid-19 to hinder their growth.

I'm optimistic too for the year of 2021. Pandemic already caused a lot of trouble to many countries in many factors and I hope since some vaccine are already developed and approved, we can go back to normal by next year. I miss going out without having to think if you're still not sick and seeing busy people going to their work every morning.
5065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In my school, Bitcoin is now becoming a subject on: December 05, 2020, 02:36:31 AM
School's are great place for children to learn about Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency. The next generation should be educated about how the coming years may form through Bitcoin, and how financial system can be much more optimized and stable and not be centralized. Which school is this? I can see their education system is not obsolete.

OP did not disclose where school he is going to. But seeing this kind of topics being talked about in their school is a sign that Philippines has a good future about bitcoin and blockchain techs. If more students will be taught about it then less scams would happen, people would be aware that it's not a currency used to scam which is commonly known here in that country.
5066  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pizza Hut accepts bitcoin on: December 05, 2020, 01:47:43 AM
That's good if America shows that they're unto bitcoin and other crypto currency in the future it will show a good sign that maybe other country will follow the lead of America since it is at the top of each country now, sooner or later maybe they will regulate it as well, I don't know of it is good idea and will good for us, but I heard a rumor that on 2021 they will do that in every cex, they will require kyc to all of the exchange website, but let's see if this is true.

Regulation is a must for cryptocurrencies imo since this is commonly used by criminals in the black market and it can also be used to do money laundering across countries. Mass adoption is really good especially to us bitcoin holders but without strict rules implemented to it, it can also be one of the top things or medium to be used by criminals.
5067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is uniswap a good place for the new tokens? on: December 05, 2020, 01:17:22 AM
I don't suggest uniswap if you're looking for new tokens to trade. The fee when withdrawing on that exchange goes very high up to the point that sometimes it's more than $10. It's also used alot by scammers by releasing new token then pump and dump them. I only tried there once and I won't use that platform again.
5068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Altcoin Safe for Investment on: December 04, 2020, 11:35:56 AM
In now days too much Altcoin Project are Launching one by one and all of them claim that invest in his project because we will be successful in upcoming days but in the end they run away and make a scam. They don't woory about people fund and stole them.
So how we can trust on altcoin to give us profit after investment. Because most of them become Scam and Scam. All of them has one Aim how to stole too much fund .
So how we make altcoin investment safe ?

My opinion is to avoid investing in those new altcoin projects showing up these days. Most of them are probably a scam. Not all new altcoins are scam but you must do deep research about their project.
I prefer investing top 10 of the altcoin in coinmarketcap rankings because their project has always some updates.
5069  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade by yourself on: December 04, 2020, 09:48:03 AM
From my experience of trading, it is really better to do it by yourself. I've also tried joining some groups for trading signals but they are not really accurate. I also found out that some of them are just hyping the price for you to buy and for them to sell their holdings. If you trade on your own, you will learn everytime you make mistakes and you can also analyze the risks of what you are going in to.
5070  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Margin trading: where to trade? on: December 04, 2020, 08:58:47 AM
Binance offers this on their platform. They even have a mobile app too so you can trade anytime you want.
But be careful of margin trading, though you can earn large profit, the chance of going 0 of your bankroll is also high.
I've seen some of my friends failed on this and I can also admit that it is a very risky thing to do if you don't know how it works properly.
5071  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Peter helping bitcoin pump? on: December 04, 2020, 07:03:25 AM
What causes popularity of something is hates, peter might have hated bitcoin because his gold is not giving him enough profits expected, making him to blast or jealous bitcoin holders, invariably he is telling his followers that bitcoin is a perfect coin to hodl, there are numerous number of people still not understanding how bitcoin and transaction works, so this in turn will let them Google about it and and start having little knowledge about bitcoin.

I don't know him but if he has a large number of followers then even if he hate or love it, people will get curious on what he is saying. This can be good if those people will understand bitcoin well. But if some will only know it because of its huge price now then this can be bad in the long run. People must know the volatility of bitcoin.
5072  Economy / Economics / Re: Visa is getting more interested in Crypto on: December 04, 2020, 05:17:57 AM
This is a good sign that big companies are now starting to acknowledge bitcoin as a form of payment. Sending big amount won't be a hassle to some users as they only have to pay small fees using bitcoin. These can also attract more people to know about bitcoin and gain interests among them.
5073  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People still don't know about Bitcoin on: December 04, 2020, 03:58:13 AM
How much there is who face this problem?

3rd world countries and old generations that are born in 70's below will always face this problem. We can't blame the 3rd world countries because not all people are updated or can afford to have the latest technology or trend. Meanwhile, old generations will always prefer what they've been used to and that is traditional fiat.
It's just funny to think that this pandemic triggered the use of cashless payment and here in our country more people now are interested in bitcoin.
5074  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chances of BTC surpassing the value of Fiat Money on: December 04, 2020, 02:57:58 AM
If such things happen, it will be a fiatless world. You can purchase everything with BTC. You don't need to have fiat anymore to purchase things. People will consider fiat as a hassle.
And of course the above post has a point. We have sats, that will be counted too in that time.

If fiat won't exist anymore then what will be the value of each bitcoin? Bitcoin's price is dependent on fiat, without this bitcoin would also be worthless.
Using bitcoin as payment is really convenient, if you're thinking that if bitcoin's price is way too high that its amount of it in fiat is so much then I think only few people will have the capacity to own and use bitcoin considering the fees when sending using it. Bitcoin will be an investment like gold rather than a mode of payment.

5076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Argentina raises Gambling tax on: November 30, 2020, 10:25:31 AM
Government has no other option but to raise taxes in order to increase their revenue, they are bailing out people affected and that is coming from their budget, and I don't think government would increase taxes without consider all the necessary factors before making a decision.

But the government can raise their taxes step by step, so people are not worried if they can not pay the taxes. It will need wisdom from the government to think about their people, so their people can still pay the taxes, and people will not make an objection with the new regulation from the government. I think if there is a discussion between the government and the people, the problem will be solved, and their people could still pay the taxes.

Government and its people won't agree to one thing if it's all about taxes. Not all have the same way of earning their money but all of them should pay the same amount of taxes. If you earn more than enough then I think you won't bother if they increase the tax but if you only earn enough or even less then you would oppose the government.
5077  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin retirement account on: November 25, 2020, 09:48:53 AM
Some organizations are offering this type of service now in which you can be able to save usually 10% or more of your earnings into the retirement account, some other cryptocurrencies are also offered like ether, litecoin and bitcoin cash. I believe this type of bitcoin investment plan lacks privacy, but I think it is cool as the fiat paid lacks privacy already but the main advantage is that bitcoin being a deflationary currency will be best for this kind of account unlike fiats that will still appreciate over long time period, bitcoin will only appreciate (increase in price over a long time period.

What do you people think about bitcoin retirement accounts? I think it is cool and can also increase bitcoin adoption.

Although, we should still remember that bitcoin is meant to be a privacy coin, not your private key not your bitcoin.

I don't agree with this concept. Bitcoin is very volatile, you can't guarantee it's value by the time when you retire. Bitcoin is our own bank so we have a freedom how much and when we will put some money to it. Like what I'm doing, I've been accumulating bitcoin since 2013 if I have some extra money from my salary hoping that it will secure my future when I can't work anymore.
5078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Argentina raises Gambling tax on: November 25, 2020, 05:51:58 AM
What are your thoughts on this ??

Is this good/bad , how would we be able to cope up with the governmental bodies increasing the gambling tax thus shutting down the small business causing problems for the long run.

- it was a little sudden to increase it to almost double. The government never even helped the industry for the sake of the argument.

Gambling is a voluntary habit so I can't say if it's good or bad. Increased tax will lessen the average number of people that gamble. I'm not saying all of them but some will think twice if it's worth gambling with the money they can only afford to play. Addicted gamblers on the other side will always find a way to continue their habit, either they find a different platform with less tax or increase their bankroll if they can afford to do so.
5079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did anyone try to "gamble" with ponzi scheme crypto scam services? on: November 25, 2020, 04:43:06 AM
This is like playing with fire... At some point, the scam will get you even if you are just risking the profit you already get, in the end, you are risking money that should be in your pockets. I know some people who use to do what OP says, bet on the new ponzy before the owner runaway and some time they win and other they lose. If we play with fire at some point we get burned.

Even some ponzi owners now run away before they do their 1st payment to their investors so this is a very risky way to put your money. If you think you can outsmart these ponzi owners, they are always one-step ahead of you. You can't guarantee that they will pay even if it's new. It's like you willingly accept that they will steal money from you.
5080  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / ATH of USD value or BTC value - where will you sell? on: November 25, 2020, 03:44:56 AM
Since bitcoin and altcoin are pumping these past few days I thought that it's time to take profit soon. Problem is I'm hesitating when to sell. I admit I bought some of those near their ATH on its btc value.
If I sell when it reaches ATH of USD value I can recover my loss but looking on btc value, it's not even half of how much btc I spend when I bought it.

For you, will some of the alts reach their ATH again in terms of btc value?

Any suggestion on what to do guys?

P.S. I'm not sure where is the proper board for this. I'm thinking this can be on bitcoin discussion, trading discussion, or altcoin discussion.
