@eldavo it happened to me actually last year, my balance wasn't gambled though but just withdrawn fully. I did not have 2FA yet at the time, so I believe there was some password compromise on some other site. I would check that your 2FA device is not compromised so you don't lose access to other services as well.

Note, this is not me saying anything about you, or the site. But I think now even 2FA is not safe if your 2FA device is compromised. This is just advice. I wish you luck.
5062  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Futures Contract - What is the best resources for live news or market analysis? on: June 14, 2021, 06:48:12 AM
Twitter agree is first to see info, but it can be very misleading too.

Also, just for safety? I've seen all the deribit ads too but also have heard quite a lot of complaints about them so would probably advise you to look into more established options. Or at least like one of those automatic smart contract platforms where your funds are all locked in escrow. Don't want to start depositing and then getting w/d problems.
5063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will The Sorrow of BTC Be The Pleasure of Altcoins? on: June 14, 2021, 06:10:26 AM
I haven't been here long enough to see the entire history of altcoins but I was lucky enough to see the true era of altcoins in 2017, which literally hundreds of new tokens put out by ICOs every day (mainly Ethereum but also counting all those other platforms like Waves which also pushed out hundreds).

Bitcoin sorrow is long but the sorrow for alts is even more so.
5064  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io "Soccer Blackjack" @ 21.00 odds on: June 13, 2021, 01:49:36 PM
Missed the Blackjack, I hope you guys luck today! Scoreless still but looks bright.

Yesterday, Belgium really did shine to be honest I was not expecting Lukaku to take his Inter form to EURO but he's proven everyone wrong especially those fans at United who thought he was crap in England.

Anyway, today is another exciting match with the Dutch I wish I could watch but work tomorrow says no:)

And hey buway, so your pick would have won it for us but no problem, I don't mind waiting for a win, I've missed the past one and did NOT miss the bust ones hehe but I'm confident we'll get at least one hit if not two throughout the whole EURO tournament:)

5067  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I get a loan? on: June 12, 2021, 09:05:59 AM
In Cryptocurrency I believe is really a bad idea to borrow money to buy a coin but since you are getting it from a family member and is interest free and the person can even wait for 5 year I really that's not bad but I will advise you to do your research very well first before buying a coin and don't even try to invest in any shit coin or any upcoming coming make sure you invest in coin that you believe they will never fail you like ETH, BNB, LTC etc. I believe coins like that won't fail you but if you invest in upcoming coins anything can happen because you might endup losing your money.

That sounds like an even worse idea in my opinion. Friends and family are interest free but the stress of borrowing from them, and then the relationships after that is going to be so awkward. Trust me I know as I've been there before.

Even after you pay back, the feeling is always never going to be the same.

Don't borrow to trade. Fullstop.

5069  Economy / Speculation / Re: Current Price action looks A LOT like the '18/'19 bear market bottom on: June 11, 2021, 02:51:21 PM
It does seem so indeed but if this is the right timing then we need to wait 2 more years for another rally to the old ATH? Sounds okay for me but I think I and many others will be a little disappointed we didn't even try to reach 100k. But for me a price bottom now is quite optimistic considering pandemic stuff and all that.
5070  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I get a loan? on: June 11, 2021, 02:22:50 PM
I would say you're really lucky. My alts used to be about 30/40 percent of Bitcoin when I started hoarding and now it's only around 10% and that's mainly thanks to Ethereum doing so well.

Don't get a loan though, at least, not in a bull run. Prices may still go lower. Invest what you can afford to lose, and never put yourself in debt.

Just don't.
5071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 11, 2021, 12:51:41 PM
Seems like Barcelona won't lose only Wijnaldum. They were supposed to be anouncing Depay in the next few days but that has been cancelled as well.

Apparently, Depay will be joining Juventus instead - also on a salary way higher than what Barcelona was offering. That are 2 free agents they planned to sign and have now lost, let's see now what happens with Eric Garcia.
He's a Barcelona youngster so they will probably complete that one - Garcia himself was pushing for that deal since last year.

Maybe there are already enough Dutch people in our team then, but it's no big loss for me I think. As I said before Wijnaldum is a great player but not really suited to our style and Depay isn't really I would think a good fit either. Both of them moved to PSG/Juve because of bigger packages. PSG offered double our terms! So no big deal, I'm happy we didn't overextend.

Nice one Steve! Pretty cool to see all of this on our fav sportsbook:)

Nicola Jokic, too what a pick!

Promos and freebets aside, I think the best threads and conversations are always linked to Sportsbet.
I couldn't agree more, there's just tons of good discussions from one sport to the other.

I stayed for the behind the bet too and happy to see my question was asked there about KABADDI which I think is all about a very cool and popular form of wrestling but I think maybe Joe was right, so many parts of the world has so many sports and maybe popularity won't transfer out to a global market. But it would be still so cool to see something happen with Sportsbet picking up a sport hungry to make their mark on this world:)
5074  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcointalk Market Sentiment Poll 6/8/2021 on: June 11, 2021, 10:55:34 AM

And here we are today looking like maybe we are ready for another 40k test:)

Bitcoin looks up again and is trying to get past the $40k price, hopefully now Bitcoin can get past the $40k resistance price. But if it still fails to
cross the $40k price, and the Bitcoin price drops again, I'm still optimistic that Bitcoin hasn't entered a bear market yet. Because I believe
if crypto is bearish the price will drop below $20k, if it's still above $20k, I believe Bitcoin is still in a bullish trend.

I guess a lot more profit taking happened so we are now back again down in the middle of 30-40. Asians markets are selling I also can see so we need to see what happens in a few more hours when the other side of the world starts considering positions for the weekend.

I agree, for me above 20k is still bullish but it would be really weird to see us go below that again.
5075  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is Bitcoin? Will Bitcoin be traded in all countries in 2025? on: June 11, 2021, 10:33:28 AM
I actually believe it's probably been traded in every habitable country in the world -- whether on-chain or off-chain. P2P trades happen all the time off chain too especially before, and maybe in the future with fee spikes etc, this might happen more too (off chain, so just handing over private keys or even wallets between trusted parties).

Even where it's illegal now, people are trading it p2p:)

I travelled to some places I thought might not see sellers but even South Sudan I recall, the world's youngest country, at the height of their civil war in 2015, had one sole trader open on Localbitcoins;)

I haven't been in Bitcoin for as long as you I guess and I will always remember how you helped me many years ago, maybe you don't remember. With wallet stuff and a deposit I think in 2017 or 2016 and got me thinking about saving Bitcoin on another site but we did a p2p trade exactly just because I couldn't find a place to get Bitcoin remember?Smiley
5076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: June 11, 2021, 09:11:06 AM
Today I read the standings of LaLiga 2. It's been 42 games and the top three clubs are Espanyol, Mallorca and leganes. If I'm not mistaken are they going to LaLiga next season? Looking at the last game actually Espanyol is the worst team because they can only win one of the remaining 5 matches.
Leganes and Mallorca are both unbeaten in the last 5 matches. Actually, if I'm not mistaken these three clubs have often gone up to La Liga but they have not been able to survive. What about next season? What is your prediction?

No there is still one more place to be decided between Rayo Vallecano or Girona. They play 1st leg of play off this Sunday, and whoever wins promotes. It will not be Leganes.

Espanyol won promotion early May and then Mallorca also gained promotion when Almeria lost to Cartagena a few weeks later. Both were relegated last season so they came right back in now:) So yeah a swing for both.

5077  Other / Archival / Re: Scalping is the most controversial way to make money. My experience for 4 years on: June 11, 2021, 07:53:14 AM
You learn very little. You don't interact and engage.

Buy and hold. Then live life. Learn things, grow as a person. And then come back. Maybe you still lose money but long term, you generally gain more.

This serves as a warning to defi people who stay at their computers all day too!

True, but the forum helped me a lot with this, I spent almost 300 days here in two years (time logged). I studied cryptocurrencies, technologies and it helped me a little psychologically distracted. If it were not for the forum, I would probably have interrupted my scalping path much earlier, because psychologically it is very difficult, to sit in tension every day and follow the trades.

Thanks to the forum. I am grateful to this place for everything.

Wow that is really crazy, I just saw my time logged is only 21 days but I wonder if that is because most of the times I am scrolling through and reading on a device different from the one I actually use to talk (this one a computer).

But I am glad you found the forum useful. I have too and even in ways I did not expect. Not only did I learn about Bitcoin but I learnt to improve my English I would even say:) Good luck to you again and. Buy and hodl and participate in forum for other than trading ok?Smiley
5078  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: June 11, 2021, 07:12:34 AM
Hello,
I wonder, why is there all the prizes on the spin, and in automatic play only present BTC, LOTT, GT, RP ?

What do you mean exactly? I open my WOF spin and I can clearly see the Rolex watch as the main prize:) Also I can see Amazon tickets clearly printed there. These are very rare to win though so you will mainly get BTC and Lotto tickets and GT at the smallest denominations as these are the most common prizes.
5079  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MicroStrategy Increases Its Debt-for-Bitcoin Offering to $500 Million on: June 11, 2021, 05:49:11 AM
I think that Michael Saylor is spending to much time with Max Keiser that is always thinking bullish about Bitcoin, and he may be right in the long run after all.
Dollar is going down, inflation is going sky high and he is hoping to save his capital and prosper during dollar collapse.
South American countries are starting to adopt Bitcoin as legal tender, and it's just a matter of time when some country from Europe will do the same, maybe Georgia or Ukraine.
Sooner or later this will create bullish trend for Bitcoin despite all the fud from China, complains from IMF, Trump and Biden administration.

Didn't know these two were friends but am not really surprised. Maxis get with maxis but what's curious for me to know is how exactly MicroStrategy keeps custody of their BTC. If they have a board who decides I feel like it's probably another custodial service as they won't all trust each other multisig right?

Keiser is in Russia right? I read they are now taking dollar away from there:)
5080  Economy / Speculation / Re: I cannot stop buying on: June 11, 2021, 05:15:50 AM
I would tag this a positive addiction because it's more of an investment but I would rather suggest you also invest in other good projects so you don't get stucked during the dip sessions. Bitcoin has proven over time to be a wise form of securing the future without much hard work but most times one can't really predict what happens next so instead of investing all you can also consider some good altcoin as well

Nope, don't. If you're a guy who likes saving money, then keep doing what you're doing and do NOT get tempted to diversify into "projects" aka shitcoins and scams. Altcoins just not as predictable as Bitcoin, far far away.

Put away and build up your hoard, stack your sats, whatever it is. That's definitely a positive addiction but just as long as you don't end up being that guy who keeps everything til he dies and someone else inherits it;)
