5081  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Just lost 2.21 BTC on Bitsler on: March 05, 2016, 04:18:36 AM
Sig spammers go away.

Why? I'm sure you'll find out why when you lose all your BTC. I just wanted to share my losses with the community, and advise those who want to do the same thing Wink

Anyways, good luck all. Bye.

And yeah, in response to elm, i can afford to lose that, it's just that it feels sad after accumulating this amount from 0.
Sounds like you just need to quit gambling, this has little to do with Bitcoin. Though I must admit that it's so easy to get exposed to gambling (through huge amounts of adverts here etc.) in the Bitcoin community.
I feel for you, but just quit now and forget about those losses, don't try to win them back or you'll be even deeper in the hole.
5082  Economy / Economics / Re: Is America a failed nation? on: March 05, 2016, 04:14:06 AM
I think it would be wrong to call the US a failed nation, the people still have a pretty high living standard compared to the rest of the world.
There is also relative peace and stability if you look at the grand scheme of things. I would call North Korea a failed nation, or Syria, Iraq in their current state.
5083  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Chat on: March 05, 2016, 04:09:57 AM
It might be worth it to check out some Bitcoin trading related Facebook groups, there's usually people there who are up for chatting.
5084  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] Block-Roulette on: March 05, 2016, 04:05:44 AM
Thanks for testing.

We're down 2.1 BTC thanks to you jerks winning too much.
Looks like a pretty neat concept, but how big is the site bankroll, and is there a possibility to invest perhaps?
Are payments processed instantly?
5085  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: WTakeDownBot - Satoshi Dice Bot - Forget Martingale Bots on: March 05, 2016, 04:02:04 AM
The bot has 7 different algorithms that are designed to work with different ways. During the beta tests (which is still continuing), the succession of wins were 15 on average with a profit of 12% on average. These wins were with the worst case settings with 100% reinvestment. The idea is not to run the bot for a long term. The basic idea is to run the bot in sessions. Each session will have a limit to the number of rolls.

With the worst case scenario setting (with 100% reinvestment), a session with 10 rolls will lead to 120% profit.

The testing is done now using the 200 satoshi base value offered by satoshidice itself. In the next stage of beta testing, we will use larger investment.

-WTakeDown Team
And how many sessions were included in the testing? Again, it is impossible to be profitable in the long term, you'll see when you've done 1000+ sessions.
5086  Economy / Gambling / Re: ☆★Primedice Betting - How to gamble like a b0ss★☆ on: March 04, 2016, 07:50:26 PM
Pretty awesome game sweet! That is nice profit. How are you doing that? I'm looking forward to your comentaries. Everytime I play at primedice I always end up loosing everything lol.

Well some people are destined that they aren't lucky when playing with luck, I have seen people in RL always getting unlucky even at the start of a game especially in poker even they got a good hands.

Its just natural variance, it might seem like people have good luck and bad luck but really it all balances out in the end.  Math is confusing sometimes.
And that's why it's always a good option to just quit while you're ahead, or not gamble at all Smiley
Variance can be pretty harsh sometimes...
5087  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Vitalik Buterin Satoshi Nakamoto? on: March 04, 2016, 07:47:34 PM
VB -> born 1994. BTC -> white paper 2008.
Would have been age 14 FYI

That is true. But considering that he is very smart at just 22 years of age (based on calculations from this year) I think that he might knew something at just 14 years of age don't you think?  Roll Eyes
I'd say it's pretty much impossible, no way that a 14 year old could write something so complex as the Bitcoin whitepaper.
5088  Economy / Economics / Re: I'm not gonna sell any coin. on: March 04, 2016, 07:44:37 PM
I'm holding onto my bitcoins for the long run. I'm sure the price will go over $500 after halving. Maybe I should have some some coins last week, but I think it's a dump before a pump.

Its good to hold all your coins than selling because the price is down. Try to hold for a long run as
suggested, because you will experience a huge benefit than selling at this price without much profit.

Actually the price of bitcoin for today is decrease, and i think it's a good time to buy and hold it until halving. For now it's better to not sell any coin.
yeah Current prices are down at the price of $ 422. not recommended to sell your bitcoin now. if you can be patient for a while. perhaps for several more days. you will get more profit. maybe the price will rise to $ 450

I think it's even possible we'll see prices going way above $450. I'd really like to see it hit $500 in the next two weeks or so.
5089  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First OpenBazaar transaction went through on: March 04, 2016, 07:38:51 PM
I'm thinking of opening a small cd-shop once I figure everything out, last time I tried it was still pretty buggy (beta).
5090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 0.001 BTC to 1 BTC Challenge [sports betting] on: March 04, 2016, 07:35:30 PM
Can I turn 0.001 BTC into 1 BTC by betting on sports? It is a simple question I am looking to answer by running a fun experiment. More specifically: is it possible to consistently win at sports betting? At the time of this post 0.001 BTC is only $0.42 and it will not hurt at all to lose this amount. Whether I fail or succeed doesn't matter, it's about the knowledge gained in the process. I will try to update my progress weekly. If you are interested in attempting this challenge join me on this journey! Who can't afford to lose 0.001 BTC?

Didn't we have someone trying similar thing recently, and of course failing Grin I wish you good luck though, what sports will you be betting on? I hope not soccer, way too unpredictable.

I saw someone else trying to go from 0.01 to 1 and failing, and OP is going further, from 0.001 to 1.  That's quite the distance to go.  You are right 0.001 isn't much to lose if you do, but I think it's very unlikely that you will make it to 1.  However, I wish you luck OP.  I'll be following this thread to see how you do.
It's not possible to turn 0.01 or lesser than this amount into 1 as then you need to bet on over 100 matches to earn the amount and one loss will ruin everything. Betting a small amount always makes the risk low but you need to think logically as well.
It would be possible if you could make very low minimum bets and if you apply good bankroll management.
Though it would take a very long time and you'd have to be pretty lucky to achieve this, but it's definitely not impossible.
5091  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: WTakeDownBot - Satoshi Dice Bot - Forget Martingale Bots on: March 04, 2016, 07:33:19 PM
How can you be sure that there won't be any loss? You can't beat the house edge in the long term... No matter what custom algorithm you use.
OP is another random daydreaming guy who thinks he can beat the house edge by some fancy strategies.

@OP how much did you win with this 'magic strategy'? Was it 0.01 to 0.02 BTC?
Well, you can in the short term, that's what variance is Smiley
But indeed, even with a house-edge as low as 0.1%, you will not make a profit in the long term, silly to think so.
5092  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Transfer to PayPal on: March 04, 2016, 07:31:22 PM
Ok. So what is the best to do in situation that i already send money via PayPal, and I suspect that I had been scammed? (Two hours ago he should send BTC.)

Yes, of course, everything is legit.
You can open a dispute in PayPal claiming you did not receive the goods you paid for given that you sent this payment as goods and services.

In case you sent this payment as family & friends then there is nothing much that you can do other than claiming this transaction as unauthorized transaction but chances are very less that you will win the dispute as PayPal will investigate your claim and most probably find nothing unauthorized as part of this payment.

I've won a fair number of disputes, even when I've made a payment as 'family and friends'. So it's not impossible to get your money back..
5093  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whoever flooded the chain is a real big-shot on: March 04, 2016, 07:28:04 PM
I'm having no issues with I add a 0.0002 BTC fee to my transactions, took about half an hour to confirm earlier today.
Can't really complain about that, plus I was under the impression that these kind of stress tests are actually good for the network.

5095  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Socialism is the key on: March 04, 2016, 05:28:30 PM
Just look around in Cuba and you will see socialism in action with shops without food and antique cars everywhere.  Wink

Just look around in Cuba and you will see socialism communism in action with shops without food and antique cars everywhere.  Wink food for everyone and one of the best healthcare in the world while the USA makes a total and absolute embargo on them making it impossible for them to exchange new goods such as more modern cars.

It would be dangerous for you to say those lies in Miami where so many Cubans live.

Just for your own good, keep it on the internet.

I spent 3 months in Cuba. I confirm what Craked5 says.
Cubans are not always happy for sure, communism is a dictatorship. But they still get an incredible healthcare. And food for everyone.
Yeah, they may not have everything we have in the western world, but I do think they are generally pretty happy.
There are other countries where socialism has failed though..
5096  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider trading as gambling? on: March 04, 2016, 05:26:20 PM
Trading with profit all the times its almost impossible, you need some deep information and a lucky when you get into any altcoin being new or old the fact is how many time you can hold those investment,as it can go up and down for a while as doge were doing at 35 satoshis and went to 70 soo as others coins .We take a small risk at trading and well its almost the same that go to a dice website and try to get a reward, meaning roi and profit.
Of course it would be impossible to profit from every trade you make, but a good trader can make a consistent profit in the long term.
It does take a while to get to that level.
5097  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your plan to get rich with Bitcoin? on: March 04, 2016, 05:23:09 PM
Not planning to get super rich with Bitcoin, but I'm thinking of making a webshop that accepts Bitcoin and other altcoins.
I don't know if it would be viable to accept Bitcoin exclusively though...
5098  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: advantage of bitcoin debit card? on: March 04, 2016, 05:19:22 PM
Bitcoin debit cards are especially usefull if you have a large amount of coins to spend and need to use services that don't accept Bitcoin.
Not worth it if you do not have that many coins, since the fees are pretty steep in general.
5099  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining coins save or sell it? on: March 04, 2016, 05:14:14 PM
of course sell it, if you play the trading and intend to keep it for a long time, you might lose, it was I proved myself, but it's up to you bro  Smiley

It won't be profitable to sell it with current price, price is not the best at a moment, its better that we hold it for next few months, and sell it after the halving when the value of bitcoin is in better position.
Yeah, I completely agree with this, at this point in time, it would be better to wait until after the halving.
Or at the very least, save part of what you're mining, you'd probably make more profit that way.
5100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your favorite type of gambling? on: March 04, 2016, 05:10:41 PM
My favorite gambling game is poker, not because you can make a lot of profit but due to the fact you can play it four hours makes it very  nice.

its of course also that you can make a lot of money with it but than you have to have luck and be good.

Poker is a nice game, but in general I like all card games. Since i am not such a dic eplayer card games got me intrigued.
The level of knowledge needed is higher and thus you play different kind of players.

Yes that is right. And in poker your strategy will really help you to win rather than doing a strategy in those house edge games like dices, rouletter and slots.
This is also the case with live blackjack, though most casino's will ban you if they suspect you of counting cards for example.
