5101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Heavyweight Battle of Britain - FURY vs JOSHUA on: September 05, 2022, 05:42:40 PM
Fury always seems to find a way to win. His unique size/length matched with his unnatural ability to react within a split second makes him a dangerous opponent. I always think he’s going to lose but he never seems to. I assume this fight will be more of the same for him.
5102  Economy / Economics / Re: Pros/cons of deflation? on: September 04, 2022, 08:46:59 PM
The pros and cons of deflation are pretty simple.  Lower prices mean that people with fixed incomes have more free money in their budget.  The downside of that is the value of investments and homes also drops, leaving people with less wealth to tap for emergencies or spending.  In an economy fueled by debt, a deflationary spiral can be disastrous, but that's why the Fed prints money like no tomorrow.
5103  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach 45k before this year ends. on: September 04, 2022, 08:44:33 PM
I don't think Bitcoin will hit $45K by the end of the year.  I think it's even likely that it will be lower than it is today when the ball drops.  As much as everyone is calling for new all time highs, we're all at the mercy of the 4 year cycle.  I could see us possibly hopping up to the $30K range before another consolidation period, but $45K is a tall ask with the ETH 2.0 coins about to be unlocked and mtgox making progress on their refund situation.
5104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 04, 2022, 08:42:31 PM
With 2 spots left open on the Lakers roster and Russell Westbrook still a question mark, eyes are turning towards Carmelo Anthony to see if he's going to resign.  Here's an article discussing it: https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nba/lakers-news-the-latest-on-a-possible-carmelo-anthony-return/ar-AA11rnJE

I would like to see Carmelo come back and play another season.  He's got so many great statistics, I don't mind him sticking around a couple extra years to pad them a bit.  He's still a dangerous 3 point shooter and a big body.
5105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 04, 2022, 03:37:29 PM
I think Coach Ham will keep on pounding WB as an attacker to create spacing and learn a kick out pass.

That's right, it should be the purpose, otherwise that strategy won't work if Westbrook is not gonna pass the ball. Maybe more than 50%, WB will draw attention when he drives the ball, so there are shooters that are going to be open, and I don't know if the Lakers have a consistent 3 point shooters that could play the role.

Westbrook is very athletic but not a good passer, that's my observation. Although I might be wrong because he used to average a triple double production in the game, but we all know sometimes he does stat padding, and if we compare his stats last season to his production in OKC, you can tell the big difference, so we can ask ourselves if he really is that good.

I think he was that good, but Father Time is undefeated. When your game is built on the back of your athleticism, the aging process is never kind to your career as an athlete. Russell is going to suffer the same fate as an older Shawn Kemp. Unwilling to change his game and unable to perform to prior capabilities.

This graded pretty well (MS68).  If my memory serves me correctly, I hit on the come up from one of your flash giveaway.  Good looking out for the community and Thx Again!

That’s awesome to hear. I did give away probably 200 of my 1g coins here on the forum or with orders from the NastyShop. Great to know they’re now a coveted item. Can’t wait until the minted seats see the same thing happen.
5107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you play online/offline without your wife or family knowing it? on: September 03, 2022, 08:37:20 PM
Why would you do something if you’re so ashamed of it that you can’t even be open and honest with your family or significant other? If you’ve gotten to the point where you’re hiding your behavior because you know it’s wrong, then you have an addiction, not a hobby. You should speak with someone and live a life you’re proud to take credit for.
5108  Economy / Speculation / Re: If Bitcoin Follows Previous Cycle on: September 03, 2022, 08:35:31 PM
the last cycle was cut short so we can't really talk about following the previous cycle anymore since i don't think the cycle thing is even a trend that bitcoin is going to follow.

The cycle is real and it’s not going anywhere. You don’t need to worry about the news or who is doing what. It literally doesn’t matter. Buy the dip every 4 years, sell the high every 4 years. It’s not brain surgery but this simple knowledge would make anyone wealthy beyond their wildest dreams if they just accepted and followed it.
5109  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 03, 2022, 08:21:02 AM
There are more and more indicators that Bitcoin is bottoming for this cycle. I’m starting to think the market might be on its way back up before the mtgox coins are distributed. I think it would be wise to be buying the dips here and hanging onto the coins you have.
5110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casino Stake.com sued for $400 million on: September 03, 2022, 03:42:20 AM
I don’t think this is something that you should be worried for your funds over. Co-founders suing each other is one of the more common reasons for a lawsuit. I don’t think it has the potential to end Stake or cost customer funds to be in limbo. More likely this will be settled out of court with a payoff and then swept under the rug.
5111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul v Anderson Silva [rumours] on: September 03, 2022, 12:58:08 AM
I don't think these are rumors.  It seems to be a legitimate fight with contracts already signed.  It might not be the most exciting fight watching a punk kid fight an old legend.  It's as close as they could get to Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson though, so at least they're trying to maintain some entertainment.  I wonder how long Logan will be wrestling for until he gets back in the boxing ring.
5112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 03, 2022, 12:56:19 AM
The Lakers today seem to be close to making a deal that will get rid of Russell Westbrook and get them Mike Conley...  I'm not sure how they plan to pull off this wizardry but apparently they're getting close enough for people to be making reports about it.  Granted Mike Conley isn't exactly a young guy either, but his game is less centered around athleticism so it might be a step in the right direction for the Lakers.  Although not ideal...
I read that Bojan Bogdanovic is also eligible so they may be enough for the Westbrook trade. Maybe the Jazz could add one or two future draft picks and the deal will be sealed.

I honestly think Lakers would be lucky to have Mike and Bojan since nobody really wanted Russ at the price they were asking.
I don't see any logic why Jazz would push for this trade after letting go of Mitchell. It just doesn't make sense to replace him unless they will give Lakers a player of lesser value.

I think Bojan Bogdanovic is overrated.  I keep hearing he might be getting traded to the Suns and people are excited about it, but I think it would be a bad move.  Dumping a distressed asset like Westbrook in exchange for taking him seems more appropriate to me.  I fear the Suns are going to get him though.  I hope they don't.
5113  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Presidential address calls out the do-nothing Republicans. on: September 02, 2022, 08:50:16 PM
Parts of his speech are word for word quotes from Hitler. The irony of doing a speech about others destroying our republic while you literally quote Hitler is beyond shocking. If this was from a movie I would have thought it was too unbelievable. No way could you find people to actually support this idiocy is what I’d think. You can’t make this stuff up.
5114  Other / Meta / Re: What type of posts attract merit? on: September 02, 2022, 07:33:26 PM
Merit is like Fight Club.  The trick to earning merit is to not talk about merit.  A lot of people for some reason act like guardians of the merit and will do things like ignore you for even mentioning it.  This post not receiving merit is a good example.

If you want to earn merit, try helping people with questions or conversating in topics that you can share useful information that may not already be presented.

You could also participate in my free merit threads and complete tasks that show you're an actual crypto user who cares about your privacy.
5115  Other / Meta / Re: [INFO]Gambling Board Spams; Concerns, Solutions & Suggestions on: September 02, 2022, 07:30:03 PM
It's really up to the campaign manager to guard against this sort of spam.  I really don't see much difference between this and most of the petty dramas that sig campaign folks start in order to post for pay.  At least the gambling section is not so much crypto related so it's somewhat irrelevant.  I feel like there is a never ending list of spammers though, so getting mad at them is a fool's errand.  Look at the campaign managers and hold them responsible for paying users to post absolute shit.

T r ump might have committed crimes. But he was someone who gave the slogan make America great again. I love him for that...

Well, it came out today that white house aides were responsible for packing up the classified information and placing it in mar-a-lago against Trump's direct orders.  He literally ordered them not to pack up the information and they did it anyway.  Now the democrats are trying to use this to smear Trump?  He literally said not to do it and they went against his orders.  I don't even need to look into what party the aides were affiliated with to know what happened here.  Our country is under attack and everybody is worried about what bathrooms to use.
5118  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Joe Biden is a senile, old Bitch on: September 02, 2022, 09:53:06 AM
That nazi-style speech by Biden is one of the craziest things I’ve seen. I don’t know what is going on in the White House but I don’t feel like these people are being honest about their agenda. They seem like they’re trying to start a civil war or something. The images alone from the night are shocking to see. There must be a reason they wanted to appear so sinister.
5119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 WNBA Discussion and Betting on: September 02, 2022, 07:43:10 AM
I would never bet against Candace Parker when it comes to the WNBA. Now that Griner is out of the picture (at least for now), Candace has to be the most unstoppable player in the league. I suspect she’ll be winning a couple more Finals MVPs before her career is over.

I just read about the lawsuit. That’s a crazy big number. I hope all parties are able to settle the dispute somewhat amicably or at least avoid lengthy and costly litigation. Nobody likes being sued but I’m sure Stake will be able to handle it and lawsuits between ex-partners are fairly common.
