I don't know how anyone does business in china - so damn corrupt.
Yeah, not like Wall St Wall Street = Exchhange China = State So if you wanna compare those then compare China to the US. And no, the US is not even close when it comes to corruption. Everyone who has lives in China for some time and did business will gurantee you that.

Is the Sept. delivery change to Oct. for early buyers?
If you pre-ordered, it's supposed to be September delivery. If you order now, it's supposed to be some time in October. September yes. But better expect 25. of september and not 10. of september imo.

5x 7950s @ 580kh/s per rig (it could perform faster, but I had to undervolt to squeeze both of them on a 20A breaker). I=20, expiry 1 queue 0 scan 1
i always thought that expiry scantime queue are only important while solomining??

I get around 20% stales. Is that normal?
What settings are you using and on what card? settings: cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://pool1.eu.multipool.us:7777 -u user.1 -p x --thread-concurrency 24000 -I 20,20,14 --gpu-memclock 1500,1500,1475 --gpu-engine 1050 -w 256 --lookup-gap 2 -g 1 cards: 3 x 7950 Try this.. move your cgminer.conf file out of your directory its in. Then delete all the .bin files, then run from a cgminer shortcut this to see correct TC. cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://pool1.eu.multipool.us:7777 -u user.1 -p x -I 13,13,13 --gpu-memclock 1500,1500,1475 --gpu-engine 1050 --auto-fan --no-submit-stale After you run it.. let it start mining. Ignore hashrate, its on I 13 for a reason here. After you see it mining and successfully sending shares, save a new config file (S,W,Enter). Then see the new .bin's with correct TC for the Tahiti's (7950s). Use this tc number from the bin to set it in your .conf file. Try running at I-19 also, may be more efficient on fast coins. Also, you prob need to tweak your GPU core and Mem some more. I have same cards and I'm close to 700kh/s at 1150/1650 no errors, few stales. GL! thx! i will give it a try. at the moment stales are around 10%. yesterday stales 20% occurred while mining DGC. @flound1129: do you consider stales when calculating coin-profitability?

I am interested in 15 BTC. Some questions remain:
Have the miners already been ordered?
Which delivery day is the KNC miner at?
Whats the GH output per BTC?

There was a delay on the assembled Avalons, yes. But nobody could expect that the chip business would fold out to such a desaster.
I'm talking about the fact, that the products we ordered and payed a certain price, don't have the same value for us anymore and wonder, if there is a way for bitmine to mitigate this. Which could probably help to keep people away from thinking about refunds. [/quote] Nobody cares if those miners have the same value to you anymore! Do you honestly expext Avalon to say:"Indeed you lost some BTCs cause of our mismanagment! Here you go. we give you some BTCs back." LOL! Thats not how this business works. Unless the fact that there is some treatment that lets them pay penalties for delivering late nothing will happen at all.

In May there was already a delay of their batch #2 so it was pretty obv that the biggest risk would be avalons chip delivery.
Also one user stated here in THIS THREAD after he had visited bitmine in JUNE that everybody has to be aware of that the biggest risk is Avalon.
So what are you talking about?
Additionally its obv not Bitmine`s fault if Avalon Chips are being delayed.
|
|
|
it's indeed a sad situation for us all, including and probably first and foremost for bitmine.ch.
Everything depends on the delivery of the Avalon chips, but nobody knows if and when this will happen.
A price reduction, in what form ever, would be appropriate, because these machines now aren't the cashcows we paid for anymore.
You must be kidding! From the start of this endeavor it was obv that the biggest risk would be a delay of avalon chips.

I've been seeing so many stories of people who had their bank accounts frozen or shut down because a bank wasn't prepared to take the risk regarding AML If this happened to be your main account where you receive money, this could be a big problem. Therefor, wouldn't it be a smart idea to advice people to create a separate bank-account to receive money made through Bitcoin-channels? Either receive the transfers from your exchange account or BitPay account. In that case only you Bitcoin-income will be affected and the rest of your business can still operate.
Thats how i am handling this.

Im not sure if its worth to buy a Mercury device ?
Why not? They all return at the same ratio. No they obviously dont. Mercury means higher price per GH.

Damn! I clicked. And now?

At the end of the Day, the only thing we need to be concern is can we get our miners in September 2013? ? Can we get them? How many of us are 100% confident without a doubt??
If you are confident without a doubt you are probably insane. There is no 100% guarantee for it (or anything really), but according to KNC they are still on track to deliver in September. Scary even you yourself not 100% sure you will get your miner on time?? LOL! Dude go ahead and buy a BMW and you wont be 100% sure that is arrives in time. So whats this 100%-sure shit about? Ever heard of things called risk and reward? No? Well than you better go and try to understand those things first... Darn. Apparently even eve is a dude. These days you aint sure about nothing...

Any new info on the sub $1000 product that they were considering?
I don't think there were explicitly considering sub-$1,000, they just made a cheaper device, the Mercury. They don't want to do sub $1k because they don't want the support headache of having thousands of customers. They can't do anything less considering each chip is 100GH and the Mercury is a 1 Chip unit. Can't split chips in 1/2. True enough. Personally, I'd like to see their next product with entirely new gen-2 designed chips, assuming this batch comes off without a hitch. You realize we've still got 4 long years until the next block-reward halving in 2017, and goddamn are we the lucky ones ^_^ Future generations will envy heavily the chance to actually mine even one entire bitcoin... per day. That will be an astounding, eye-opening thing to tell your grandchildren. Grampa: "Yes Johnny, I once solo-mined a block and got 25 bitcoin." J: "25 bitcoin, Grampa?! You could buy anything!" Grampa: *chuckles* "Not quite anything, kiddo. But I did eventually buy this island with one of 'em." lol i dont wanna interrupt your party but bitcoin maybe the first cc but it wont be the end of innovation. most likely in 20 years you wont use btc anymore cause it got outplayed by stronger better faster safer whatever currencies. that being said until then there is still alot to earn with bitcoins. "i dont wanna interrupt your party". Then just don't. i changed my mind and decided to let you know that most likely our grandchildren wont use bitcoins. thats it. learn to accept realities.
