5121  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: OpenBazaar Opening ? on: February 08, 2016, 04:30:13 AM
They've just released another development update on January 12:
https://blog.openbazaar.org/

It's looking pretty good already, can't wait till it releases Smiley

That's nothing really , they post changelogs each week usually and they posted one today as well : https://blog.openbazaar.org/ https://blog.openbazaar.org/weekly-development-update-february-1-2016/ but it's kinda shitty , I mean they could at least give us an estimated date .

That's just how it tends to go with Open Source projects, although I had expected that there would be a bit more progress, like you mentioned.
Especially since they got a pretty sizeable investment last year, I think.
5122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the best Bitcoin Wallet? on: February 08, 2016, 04:24:45 AM
It depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking to store a lot of coins safely then offline hardware wallets like Trezor and paper wallets are the best. If you want quick access to smaller amounts and spend them out and about then you have phone wallets. My fave is Mycelium.

What if I'm looking for something like a phone wallet, but don't have a phone.....?
Sounds like you just need a simple desktop app, go with Electrum and if you don't like that:

Use Bither best one I come around light weight simple to use and works on multiple devices like Windows, Linux, Android and OSX. https://bither.net/

Or Multibit:
https://multibit.org/

Never did like it and the layout it has maybe give it some go in the future but happy so far with what am using maybe to use as an alternative Smiley
Yeah to each his own, there are just so many options that it's impossible to objectively say: 'This is the best Bitcoin wallet'

I recently stepped away from Multibit myself because it messed up some wallets, quite happy about Electrum and Mycelium for Android.
5123  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for Bitcoin marketing expert to split earnings with on: February 08, 2016, 04:07:54 AM
Could you be a tad more specific on what your looking for? Base on the 50-50 split that you mentioned, it looks like your looking for someone to invest his own money and put it on your project but base on the first few words of the title or the very first line, your looking for someone to promote your website and more like a marketing manager that your going to pay in which it will be on a pay as you earn basis so which one is it? If it's the latter then I might be interested on it (to mange and handle your website promotion).

marketing expenses are still expenses, those are not gonna be counted

of course I would like to be made aware of the strategy, preferably a cheap one since the website launch has been itself cheap (I already had the company to set everything up) and I just want to see if there can be good earnings before paying to get advertised on a broader base (CoinDesk etc type of advertisement).

so more like a manager
I don't mean to sound rude, but why do you need a partner for that? You can just set up some cheap advertising yourself to start...
It would save you quite a bit of money in the long run and it's not really that hard. You can always hire cheap freelancers to create promotional material such as banners etc.

You would be keeping all of the equity yourself, without that much extra work.
5124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin from illegal activities on: February 08, 2016, 04:03:31 AM
Didn't the FBI auction a massive amount of coins from the Silk Road bust?
Those must've been as tainted as they could be, but does the auctioning provide some sort of provenance which 'washes' the coins?
5125  Other / Off-topic / Re: Earning a living with bitcoin? on: February 08, 2016, 03:59:30 AM

Yeah that could be true, but you're not scamming anyone by doing that right? I might have just misread your post Smiley

Yes if you know what you are doing and know that to look for you can make good money with BTC. I am doing right now. There are a lot of scam dealing with BTC, as you may now. I am not here to brag but I make $22,410.00  with all BTC. So it can be done. If you know what you are doing.

What? Are you saying you've made $22,410.00 by scamming people? I hope that's just an error in translation..
5128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the best Bitcoin Wallet? on: February 08, 2016, 02:47:59 AM
If you want an easy to use offline wallet I'd recommend Electrum, but there are many more options which might be even better.
You're going to get many different answers here Cheesy

5129  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★Fancyhash.io★ New roulette blockchain based game. make extra btc in 5 minutes! on: February 08, 2016, 02:42:41 AM
The site looks quite nice, I'll test it out with some BTC. Are you planning on adding more games in the future or will it just be roulette?
5130  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Doubling Bitcoin? on: February 08, 2016, 02:38:47 AM
Arguably the fastest way to double your Bitcoins is to do some trading on exchanges with altcoins. This is not a guarantee though and it requires a lot of skill and knowledge.
5131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin being used for illegal activities on: February 06, 2016, 08:38:32 PM
With Bitcoin there's more of an emphasis on its use for illegal activities and a big part of the news surrounding Bitcoin sadly focusses too much on that aspect.
Luckily we also see some more positive news from time to time.
5132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your favourite gambling game ? on: February 06, 2016, 08:30:54 PM
Dice without any confusion this one is my most favorite game to do gambling there, i like to play on slots games and as well as on poker too, love to bet with liver dealers it best way to have fun while gambling online. Grin

My most favorite gambling game is dice. I think this fact so much. I do it at least 4 times a week. But the money has not often do it because otherwise touches also.
I think you should not have too many games even if you find it a lot.
Dice is a good game to play but I've noticed that the returns aren't so profitable as sports betting where you can earn a lot with just 1 bet. I tried betting twice recently and followed the sports thread in the Gambling section and I won both my bets. I have found this better than dice.
Well, there is more skill/knowledge involved with sportsbetting. With dice, you're just completely dependant on luck, nothing else.
5133  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining coins save or sell it? on: February 06, 2016, 08:28:59 PM
Well, you could be looking at more profit if you decide to just save it for at least another year till after the reward halving.
Depending on the future price, you could even stand to make a very decent profit.
5134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Airdrops 1 Million BTC to the Poor on: February 06, 2016, 08:26:40 PM
Poverty are not eliminated by throwing money at the problem. I always come back to the saying.... If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day.. if you teach him how

to fish, you feed him for life. I think Satoshi's goal with this, might have been to give people the tool, to reduce poverty. In most countries people are to poor to open

bank accounts... banks are simply not interested in doing business with poor people. Bitcoin enable people to open their own bank accounts for free and it has virtually

zero fees. This will open doors for them, that was previously shut for them or might have been too expensive.
I don't see how Bitcoin itself would be a tool to reduce poverty? I mean, you'd need a pretty big initial investment to be profitable mining and you won't get any free bitcoins anywhere.
5135  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Genesis Mining on: February 06, 2016, 03:35:37 PM
I had been mining Dash before the BTC price went down and after Dash rose up to 0.011 BTC, I sold for a nice profit.
Currently I have a 1.5 TH lifetime plan, getting around 0.25 dash per day.

Thanks for posting.  This makes it look like nothing will happen until after the February conference. I am beyond excited about this and the website looks great.
I recommend subscribing to their Youtube channel, they post pretty regularly with development updates etc.

It would be awesome once there are some Windows binaries available Smiley
5138  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: ★ What's your contribution to Bitcoin? ★ on: February 05, 2016, 11:08:41 PM
I actively support companies that have implemented a checkout system with Bitcoin.
For example:

- Whenever I order food online through pizza.be, I pay using Bitcoin
- I pay my phone bill with Bitcoin on mobilevikings.be
- I've done a few major purchases with Bitcoin such as Galaxy s5 and a monitor etc.

Aside from that, I try to hold some Bitcoins and get my friends to use it as well.

5140  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2016, The Year of Bitcoin? on: February 05, 2016, 11:00:38 PM
I think 2016 is still a bit too early if you look at the grand scheme of things, we'll see some notable progress, but i don't expect Bitcoin to explode until 2017 at least.
Then again, who knows what will happen in the next following months.
