If anyone wants to try solo mining, Create the following greed.conf file listen=1 txindex=1 server=1 daemon=1 rpcuser=anything rpcpassword=whatever rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcport=1500 Then, if you have cgminer. Create this bat file to run your miner cgminer -o http://127.0.0.1:1500 -u anything -p whatever --btc-address (Your greed payment address) Please make sure close and reopen your greed wallet before running your miner. Also, you need to wait for the wallet to be synced before running your miner.

Well, I would have been willing to solo mine this, but unfortunately, someone just rented my rig for 24 hours on MRR. sorry.

I fully understand the situation and am definitely not just playing stupid.. I seriously have nothing to do with ANY pools and have no more information than what you guys know
In fact, I am owed over 1000 coins from the pool, but I am forfeiting that amount to help Paul replace the missing coins. He is buying the other half that what I am owed does not cover so everyone, except Paul and I, will get all their coins
Well if it is not too much trouble, Paul can keep the 8 coins I am short. I know it is only a pittance, but I'm more than happy to take on some of the loss.

I never put a payout add in pool one if I have to send them back how should I do this just leave them there or withdrawal them to my wallet then send them back
HI if your coins are still on the pool thats fine leave them there and sent me a pm with your payout address. Hi as requested I send my coins back to the pool, I send back 206 coins and only got back 156 coins, why That is 25% less coins that I mined??? Probably because the wallet is short due to double dipping and not everyone sent back their coins. Paul is it true? And what's the status of the second pool? Hi yes its true i posted on here what has been going on All payouts are done for both pools I only got around 1100 coins instead 1700 as it was writen in that table. I'm far from happy pjcltd So the list is not important. Now you crystal-ball gazing. Now you have your own list where are the rest poeples coins ? vanish ? Paul is just splitting up the losses due to the double dippers. Although some of the double dippers may have made an honest mistake, the fact they got double the coins and never questioned it or did the right thing is either stupidity on their part, or flagrant dishonesty.

Its monday....where is escrow?
The dev probably wasn't comfortable releasing new code with bitcointalk down. Sure the dev could have used twitter and cryptocointalk, but this is the best way to reach the largest audience. Also, if the dev is from the States, today is a holiday. Maybe there is a real life with family going on for the dev right now.

Just uploaded the new Variance wallet. My bitdefender gave me trouble due to false positive, but it's ready and running. Can't wait for higher stakes at block 140000.

Bad that dev left, wallet work and stake no problem. Why just leave the coin Either was satisfied with the BTC made from dumping high on yobit, got upset at someone's FUD, moved on to another project, died, or is now in some kind of institution (jail, hospital, etc.) Or perhaps the dev couldn't figure out how to make the marbles game work and gave up. Who knows.

yobit.net bid price is 0.00000015
Now the bid is down to 12 sats.

Will someone please explain to me the incentive to running a masternode? Or just why masternodes exist at all?
When someone stakes, the block is sent to a masternode. The masternode alters the block, called "coin mixing" to make the transactions more anonymous. The person who staked the block gets 50 and the masternode gets 50. Since there is less competition among the masternodes, someone with a masternode will get rewarded 50 coins more often than someone who is staking 25000 coins. (At least that is how it is supposed to work, but if there are lots of masternodes and only a few people staking, then the person staking would earn more. But that should not happen. But it could...)

Well, it's abundantly clear that my internet connection is not up for this task. Only stale shares and 6 orphans so far. Oh well, with 8,000,000 POW blocks, I'll have plenty of time to mine some coins.

how can we mine it?
Set an RPC Username, Password, Port, and IP in the conf file. Connect your miner to it. You can use any open port you want, as long as the conf matches your miner What is the name of the conf file supposed to be? Vary.conf

Is the difficulty going to to be low enough to solo mine? With my usb stick?

OK, so I finally figured out how to run two wallets on the same computer. Now I can put my proceeds in the 2nd wallet and stake, rather than have them sit there and do nothing or move to the exchange and sell. But I noticed that when I set up the batch file, I had to set listen=0. I gather I have to do more to get a second MN up and running. I'll have to sift through the thread for the crave link someone posted earlier...

Looks like the dev is on hiatus. The last checkpoint was at block 500. Not every 500 blocks like was promised. The wallet and network seem to be working well though. Any recourse? Maybe the dev will come back when he is done with Darkcrave or whatever crap he is working on now. Can't count on it, best option just troll newbie devs and avoid anyone that is anon. But if I did that, I would miss out on some gems like Tron and Shell. I'm just disappointed because this coin seems to have a lot going for it. Low coin supply, masternodes that works great, decent miner interest during POW. Oh well, I guess I'll bag hold and hope for better days.
