Personally, I don't like consoles, PC is much better, but I'd take PS4, it's just better.
+1, I'll go for PC. It is but it won't let you lie down on bed or couch and play on TV ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) 1. Get a good HDMI cable and hook the pc with your tv. 2. Get a controller from Logitech/Microsoft (or even Razor), depending on which layout you like. 3. Done. Now you can sit on your couch and play the game on tv with a pc. Just my $0.02 ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) But it's harder to play console controllers belongs to consoles and it's kinda differennt experience. Haven't you heard of Steam's Big Picture? Tons of games with controller support, Steam's UI and a browser fitting for a controller. Pretty much the awesomeness of a PC for console users.

Ask him for some BTC. Probably most around here would do the same.

Why you're not using win7? Is there any particular reason behind this or it's just a habit?
As I have stated earlier, I am using Win7 in my laptop and XP on my desktop. Some of my games and programs are only compatible with XP and I can't live without them. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Regarding games, there's usually a workaround to use them with Windows 7. Well, at least for all the old games I play.

I think goverments would get a hold of that and would start taxing bitcoin too ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) if they aren't already xD US, which considers BTC as property, already is. That's probably why media outlets avoid including BTC in such games, besides it's pretty low popularity comparing both nation-wide and worldwide. Until this changes, we can only dream about these types of shows.

You use Windows 8? Weird... I recently heard a joke regarding it: Windows 8. Because there are only 8 people using it ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) . Back on topic, It's not that bad that Windows XP support was cut. They've delayed the cut for so many times and Windows 7 is a pretty decent system to continue the Windows dynasty ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) . windows 8 is a great OS, boots up double faster then win7, the only thing why people didn't like it that they removed the start button and inserted that squary shit, other then that it could of been the best windows around.. Backwards compatibility of games is terrible, tons of problems with games and since I'm a gamer, Windows 8 kind of inferior to Windows 7.

I think you can unlock a thread if you look at the bottom left corner. There should be a text like Unlock topic. Just click it. If it doesn't let you, just create a new one.

Nope, the wallet.dat contains the private/public key pairs that belong to your bitcoin addresses. The balance on those addresses is extracted from the blockchain, by incremently adding and substracting all transactions to and from said addresses.
Simply put the private key is THE single proof that an address belongs to you. Without providing it no funds can be sent from the address.
When I update the bitcoin-QT, it takes long to be updated because all the current blockchain info gets downloaded. Is not it ? Then where that data is stored ? Not it wallet.dat ? Default is win: %APPDATA%\Bitcoin linux: ~/.bitcoin/ max: ~/Library/Application Support/Bitcoin/
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Data_directoryThere is your wallet.dat and in the subdir "blocks" are all the blocks. Not quite exactly. The blk*.dat files in the "blocks" subdirectory are the raw Bitcoin blocks, and the files in the "index" subdirectory is just the LevelDB database with the block metadata. Well well well ...thanx for all your reply ...but I'm getting more confused. I have already downloaded the blockchain. So all address data should be in my machine. I just need a very simple thing now. I want the addresses which has more than n bitcoin. Cant I get it without connecting to the internet ? If you start Bitcoin Core, with the already downloaded blockchain data, you can view the balance of the addresses in your wallet accurate up to the time of the last block that you have downloaded. Without internet access, you cannot have totally up-to-date balance information. Why addresses in my wallet ? I want the balance of everyone's wallet. I understand they'll be up to date till I last synced. Wallet.dat is like your wallet. It shows your balance. Block files are the data files with everyone else's balances, a.k.a. the blockchain.

Oh yeah, I forgot. Keep your BTC in an online wallet. A great way to lose BTC.
You will not lose your coins in an online wallet if you know how to keep them. And take regular backups as well. On the other hand, I have heard stories from a lot of people who lost their coins in offline wallets, due to their carelessness. That's a semi-online wallet you are talking about. Inputs.io was an online wallet.
