Is there a fast way to get a support ticket looked at. Been waiting 3 days. Is there a deep onion Dev on here atm?
Yes, they should set up a support ticket system that will allow all DO moderators to respond to tickets, which should greatly accelerate the review of any issues. Good luck, I hope it will be settled quickly ! We are working / testing it now. It should be released in the not too distant future. |

In this case, we are talking about DeepSupport, a place to fix all DeepOnion Issues from users! Another opportunity for the DeepOnion community to keep growing! Yeah! The tickets system is just great! Ik that there's so much peoples waiting, but look : Devs are making wallet upgrades, mods are trying to do their best to accept as many members as possible but theres lots of request, Guys you should wait and try to be faithfull  everything will be okay soon  Does the ticket support system is already working properly or it's just in test mod so far? We are currently testing this Forum Feature, at this point it is not accessible by the general public. Many updates are coming to the forum. |

DeepVault sounds like a pretty great feature add... thanks a lot devs for the continued work. Can't wait to see what else you have in store. The implications for the hash verification on a document are interesting as well... can the file be any file type? What deems it a 'document' or does it have to be .docx? What is the cost to add a hash to the chain?
Any files type, up to 1GB in size is acceptable. |

Love the Deep vault integration into the QT wallet. DO will set the gold standard for what a QT wallet should be like. Great job dev team, thanks for continuing to grind to improve the tech and provide as many updates as often possible.

I love that it is integrated into the wallet. I assume the actual look is a bit of a placeholder though? Otherwise I would suggest cleaning it up a bit, think there are too many different colours, font sizes etc for my liking... It is a difficult balance in providing enough information for non-technical but also keeping it minimalist for more technical users. If the community believe that it should be changed then we can address that in the future We're always open to suggestions and improvements from our community. I think he just means that there is some text in one kind of blue, then some other text in another blue hue, then another text in yet another blue hue. Various fonts and sizes also. It should be quite simple to make things a bit more uniform, he wasn't asking to change what is displayed, just how it is displayed. Got ya - I'll suggest changing to make it more uniform. |

As described, DeepVault will store hashes of files on the blockchain, not the files themselves. Hash functions take an input of arbitrary size and turns them into the outputs of the same size. Cryptographic hash functions have one important characteristic: if you change your input even a little bit, the output changes entirely in the way that's impossible to predict. Use case looks like this: - take a document of arbitrary size
- compute its hash
- record the hash on the blockchain (for example by using transaction with OP_RETURN locking script)
When you want to find out whether someone has tampered with your document, you just compute its hash again and compare it to the hash value stored on the blockchain. If both hash values are the same, you can safely assume, that the document has not changed even a tiny bit since its original hash value was recorded on blockchain. If current hash value differs from the hash value recorded on the blockchain, you're document has been modified in some way. can u please point me to the official description of DeepVault? We have only received a sneak preview of DeepVault and the way its intended to function, more information will be revealed closer to launch. We will be doing additional testing on DeepVault later today. While its not ready for deployment just yet, rest assured that it is close. Can I assume that mining DeepOnion is pretty much going to be only efficient on ASIC i.e. that running a miner on spare cpu cycles would be a complete waste of time?
I don't think it could be CPU mined at all. GPU mined, yes. With that said, the ship sailed months ago. Unless you have an ASIC farm, I wouldn't bother. As much as I love DO, even my 3 rig setup isn't worth throwing at it. Mine Ether, and convert to DO. |

So still no airdrop ? Was checking and still no coins received.... :[ Well I suppose its not a big problem on the official forum they say 1 or 2 days.
What exactly happened? the main dev looking after the drop had some sort of emergency. But as usual we'll see them keep to their word and deliver in a couple of days as stated. The guy taking care of the airdrop lost his internet, and also happened to have an emergency spring up at the same time. Small bump. |

Have you gotten your stakes coins when you open your wallet and leave it for around 1 - 3 hours running? It seems that it doesn't have to be running all the time, but one can get ONIONS while it runs short periods of time also? or is this something cumulative from when the wallet was opened and didn't finish staking?...
Your weight is constantly building when it is unlocked, and in staking mode. It keeps track, and builds on the last time you were in staking mode. It doesn't grow when the wallet is closed, or locked. |

The website seems offline too, maybe they are upgrading their forum too I spoke with him this AM - he is feeling much better. He also had major ISP issues yesterday, which didn't help. The site being down at the moment is due to a maintenance upgrade to the site, and is of no concern. So the airdrop should starts soon too? Dunno if I should go to sleep or should I wait that sweet noise that wallet makes when you drop some fresh coins in it Delayed 24-48hrs. I wouldn't wait up, but that's just me. |
