One should not be taken aback if the market goes up and down dramatically given the volatility of cryptocurrency. For instance, I cannot purchase something I like from around the world with fiat money. Even if I am allowed to do so, hassles are involved in the name of security or any other means. With cryptocurrency, I can buy whatever I want from around the world.

Yes you are right that the year 2018 is the year of regulations where the market will not rise as expected. So it means the year of 2018 is also the year of investment. But those who have already invested and suffered loss should hold their holdings regardless of the market meltdown. The situation is such that we can have no other option than hoping for better days in the crypto market. So lets hope the year 2019 will be good year for cryptocurrency.

Invest at low and sell at high is the only mantra of the crypto market. The formula is also applied to other sector. If the formula will ever work, this is the right time to invest as almost all coins are in low in prices. With a small amount, you can buy more coins at this time. And hold until the prices of coins will rise. My another advice is eat only the amount you can digest.

The concern you are showing about scam ICOs is relevant and one should be aware of it. As the market is buzz with reports of scam ICOs and it is the urgent need for discouraging such scam ICOs. It is just for the sake of betterment of the crypto world, investors and crypto enthusiasts. I think all should join hands against such fake ICOs so that people are not cheated further. 

Ripple is one of my favourite coin and it has been performing well in the latest time. See its price in the recent past, it prices rises steadily up and up despite the market experiencing a massive meltdown. On top of that, it has just beat the second most good coin, ethereum by market cap being in the second place. It is good news for ripple followers and investors. I think it will defeat even bitcoin in the future.   

I do not think it will decline to as low as $100 any time soon. The year 2018 is the year of regulations and surely the market will go down as a result. But as far as ethereum, the coin is one and only best and good coin in the market. Falling prices does not mean that a coin is bad. Prices falling or rising is the only part of the crypto market. So Ethereum will rise again. Lets hope.

My take on this is the king coin bitcoin is on a downward spiral. It is not traded at $8000, Now it has declined to around $4300, and it is the biggest tragedy for the leading coin. Its fall is not known. But I think unstable crypto market is to blame. Its prices stood at approximately $20000 some one year ago, now it has dipped so much. And I think the coin will rise again just the way it did in the past.

Most promising altcoins that will flourish in the year 2019 is ripple. Ripple has been performing well even at the time when the market is in pain with most coins declining dramatically in prices. Ripple is one and only altcoin that will go up to the moon. The coin is performing well despite the market meltdown. It is good time to invest in ripple as its price is very low as compared to past. Other coins that I prefer to be good are stellar, cardano, siacoin, tron. Among them, stellar is projected to hit $1 in the next three months.

I think that it is about right time to invest as you can see the market decreased to its lowest. Apply the theory of buy at low and sell at high. If you invest at this point of time you can get more coins even with small investment. So do not wait. But you should choose good coins.

I think there is not any battle going on between ripple and ethereum. It is just about their performance. Both coins have their different features and have been established for different purposes. The simple answer is one good coin will outperform.

It is not that all new ICOs are just a scam, although it is true that there are many new ICOs turning out to be just a scam. So do not get disappointed or do not let your passion for cryptocurrency down. and you should not try to give up just because of that. But you and we should join hands to exert pressure on the regulators to discourage scam ICOs.

You have not said that which coins you have at present, making it difficult for us to suggest you. But in my opinion, ripple is one of the good coin that is worth holding for long term. I am sure that it will benefit you in the long term. Other coins worthy of holding are stellar, ethereum, cardano, tron, Steem, electroneum.
