Start thinking how IXC gets involved in this technology.
522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: May 31, 2014, 01:05:39 PM
Interesting enough, the rate will drop at 210000.  That is 3890 blocks from now.   So by aroung 6/28 the blockrate will be cut in half to 48!

The hard limit of zero subsidy is at block 227499.  148 days from now.  Around 5 months from now.  10/30 is the approximate date.

These numbers are taken from the source code:

Code:
  int64 nSubsidy = 96 * COIN; //ixcoin
// Subsidy is cut in half every 4 years
nSubsidy >>= (nHeight / 210000);
//Hard limit to 21M Ixcoins
if (nHeight >= 227499)
                nSubsidy = 0;

zebedee is actually setting you up for a loss.  He likely read the code prior to the bet.
Thanks for showing that one person on this board actually knows what he's talking about, and it's not the one who claims to know all about IxCoin and how its going to the moon.

I dispute your claim that "I was setting this twat up" for a loss?   What you mean is he was setting himself up for getting an expensive lesson from someone with a clue.  A bet is the best bullshit antidote that exists, and you can see it worked.

I'll give one more clue - this coin is dead late in October when there is no more reward.  Meanwhile dump all your coins on Vlad whilst you still can.  You will thank me later.

I think you discount the fact that GHash.IO (i.e. CEX.IO) supports IXC.

Okay.... who is dumping on that crap exchange Vircurex?

https://vircurex.com/welcome/index?alt=btc&base=ixc&locale=en

Apparently someone sold all the way down to 5400 satoshis.

Why would they do that?   Maybe it's because the IXC being sold isn't real IXC.

That's not possible.  Someone is selling to themselves [AGAIN].

I knew it, just like that 500,000 sell order, someone is using vircurex to manipulate the price.

Did I not warn you folks that Vircurex can't be trusted?

Anyway, if this guy sold 50,000 IXC to scare the market, it doesn't seem to work.  I don't know where he'll find 50,000 IXC to buy.

Finally!!!
Test vectors passed Wink And I can confirm now that test job returns six nonces. 744ec1ec is the 6th one.
This chip is a nightmare for software writer. Behavior of the chip depends on the command. Some commands break chain, some don't return any value back to host uC. And datasheet is the worst I ever seen. Errors (register table for example) and lack of information. Without oscilloscope I would never guess how to "talk" with this chips. Many hours spended on discovering things that should be in datasheet.

http://imgur.com/MVtOniD

I don't get it,  doesn't this driver:  https://github.com/ckolivas/cgminer/blob/master/driver-SPI-bitmine-A1.c  cover the communication with the A1 chip?

Are you saying that there is something wrong with the driver?
526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: May 30, 2014, 08:29:02 PM
So in about five months (near end October) the network stops giving bribes of 96 or 48 shitcoins when reward goes to zero.  What's then to keep people mining (or even merge-mining) it?

Transaction fees are gonna go through the roof (at 2 txns per block, perhaps 25 IXC per txn fee needed?) or merge mining is gonna be dropped.

What happens to shitcoin then?  Best get out before everyone else figures it out.

The date has now moved to August, so terminal mining is 2-3 months away.

It's 96 coins now, BTW.

The largest merge mining pool on earth, CEX.io (Ghash.io) with over 40% of the total global Bitcoin mining power is sitting on our board.

So, my question to you, good sir, is:  Can you add?

Nope it's October.  Can you add?

Yeah, can you?

21,000,000 coins total
205799 blocks now = 19,756,754 coins
difference of 1,243,246 coins = 12,950 blocks @ 144 blocks per day = August 26th.

In reality it will end up being closer to Late July - Early August since we're dealing with a moving target.

Now show me your math, genius.

Interesting enough, the rate will drop at 210000.  That is 3890 blocks from now.   So by aroung 6/28 the blockrate will be cut in half to 48!

I had no idea the subsidy for iXcoin was actually getting cut in half.

Everything I ever read said constant 96 coins until terminal mining.

If that's the case then yeah, it won't be July-Aug but you can't predict the exact date since the block time is almost never 10 minutes, it's closer to 8 minutes and it fluctuates.

Well, the code does not lie.   It will halve in about a month's time!   So if it behaves similar to Bitcoin, the price may just jump after the halving event.
527  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: May 30, 2014, 07:51:48 PM
Not counting all the lost bitcoin revenues, it would have to be the equivalent of an SP30 which it 6Th/s for the hardware part of the compensation.  That SP30 is actually only $5,000.  So put another $1,000 check inside too to make up the difference.

And if you think the market is too competitive at this point, we'll just have to think of new creative ideas to trump the competitors.

You've done an excellent job of taking pre-order money and delivering nothing. I suggest you continue in the same business. Offer some Scrypt miners for sale, rake in a ton of sales, and then fail to deliver them.

What are they even thinking?  'trump the competitors'?

Customers expect one of two things at the minimum:

(1) $6,000 refund
(2) 6 TH/s of working hardware

In other words, AMT does not intend to provide either a $6,000 refund or 6 TH/s worth of working hardware.

So if it is not 6 TH/s,  then is 3 TH/s what AMT intends?

Don't tell me that they think folks will settle with 1.2 TH/s?

I ran a calculation with a spreadsheet I was given by a very generous forum member who wants to help (I am going to ask his permission to redistribute). It covers our exact losses for the miners since the time we were expected to get them. If you placed an order...count 3 weeks from that time (as that is what they originally stated) or to be on the written side of things 6 weeks. I actually saw a -%24 ROI on my hardware over the last 2.5 months.....IF it were running. I would have actually broken even at the end the year. This is based on difficulty going up and projected bitcoin average. But in this case I based it on the current and historical prices. If I get permission I will respost it for others to use as its not my work to repost.

I don't know why AMT is so actively trying to delete posts.

What point do they have trying to 'manage the message' when they aren't communicating.

I suspect that AMT will offer four (not five) Technobit boards in compensation.

They can shove their products. The only time they do anything is when they are forced by a court.

Well the entire fiasco is spirally completely out of control.   The more they delay,  the higher customers demand on what needs to be delivered.

You can't offer $1,600 worth of equipment when a customer has paid $6,000.

It doesn't matter if its the same specs,  AMT advertised a MPP and they have better satisfy it!

So, it's a block every 10 minutes ~ 144 blocks/day

3890/144 =~ 27 days
From 210000 to 227449-> 17449 blocks
17449/144=~ 122 days

Total period =~ 149 days

So profitable minting will approximately end on October 25th.

http://www.timeanddate.com/date/durationresult.html?d1=30&m1=5&y1=2014&d2=25&m2=10&y2=2014&ti=on

Am I right?

Since when was mining IXC profitable?

Holy price jumps Batman. IX is on the up.

And if that isn't enough to convince you then the fact that trolls are coming out to play should be an indication that ix is getting new attention.

There's serious money in CEX.IO.  Considering only 3 other currencies are traded there LTC, NMC and IXC there is a significant amount of BTC that can easily push IXC to the stratosphere.

If you folks are all wondering where all the trading action is happening,  it's at CEX.IO.

CEX.IO trades only quality coins,  BTC, LTC, NMC and IXC.

I would encourage all IXC traders to trade exclusively at CEX.IO.    It is very important for the coin to maintain a good level of liquidity and this is best done on as few exchanges as possible.

I have reached the point I am tired.....I am mulling what I will be doing next as I am getting no replies from them via email any more. Just here on the forums. But there is no follow through.

Josh appreciates your patience. The longer you wait, he gets to spend more and more of your money. Eventually they'll run out, declare bankruptcy, and you get nothing.

True, he can get away with bankruptcy, but not with Fraud that he committed  and illegal equipment that are not approved by FCC. He has pissed off many people and institutions..there are 1000+ more claims against him, and that mass is not easy to avoid!

I'm not even sure that he can declare bankruptcy.

Here's one infamous case of a guy who defrauded investors:  http://www.ponziclawbacks.com/2013/07/24/3000-returns-on-bitcoin-probably-scam-sec/

Here is the SEC charge:  http://www.sec.gov/News/PressRelease/Detail/PressRelease/1370539730583

Excerpts:

Quote
The SEC alleges that Shavers promised investors up to 7 percent weekly interest based on BTCST’s Bitcoin market arbitrage activity, which supposedly included selling to individuals who wished to buy Bitcoin “off the radar” in quick fashion or large quantities.  In reality, BTCST was a sham and a Ponzi scheme in which Shavers used Bitcoin from new investors to make purported interest payments and cover investor withdrawals on outstanding BTCST investments.  Shavers also diverted investors’ Bitcoin for day trading in his account on a Bitcoin currency exchange, and exchanged investors’ Bitcoin for U.S. dollars to pay his personal expenses.

Heh heh... If Bitmine was so chummy with CryptX http://www.cryptx.com/ the folks who brought us PetaHash as to get *them* apparently working miners (now being sold off through https://www.asic-hardware.com/ why so much trouble getting regular customers something usable? Pretty damn sure a pharming company like that would not have put up with non-functional hardware.

This a complete utter disaster,  now used TH/s miners are being sold off.  The 1 TH/s Coincraft Desk with the same # of chips as the AMT 1.2 TH/s miner is going for under $2,000.    Meanwhile we are all waiting for delivery of a $6,000 piece of equipment that is supposed to get ROI.
And another tick on the list of things against AMT/Bitmine.
Yes AMT probably was not directly involved with CryptX but the fact that usable miners were produce by BMch for a single very large customer should have reflected in what AMT could have provided us.

I agree.  Although Bitmine had delivery issues, there is no evidence that they've screwed up on the scale the AMT has screwed up.
