521  Economy / Economics / Re: What was your lowest point financially? How did you go through it ? on: December 29, 2022, 07:41:36 PM

We all have ups and downs in life. If you are old enough, there must be some painful period that you thought you'd never get over but actually you did. What was your lowest point in life ? Especially when it comes to finanical difficulties ? How did you survive ?

My lowest point was back to study overseas in XXX country decades ago. At the time, my moeny was robbed and the school kicked me of dormitory due to the overdue fees. I was reluctant to ask money from my parents and I was collecting garbage food for nearly two months to survive. Luckily one of my friends at church helped me find a part-time job and I lived on that little money for a long time. That was really an aweful experience but I am glad I made it through. What is your story ?
I think during the previous bear run, when Bitcoin went to the lows of 3000$ and was not anywhere near to returning back to it's normal. I was screwed, i had invested heavily into shitcoins and they were dipping even further than bitcoin. Also I was a student who was not earning anything except from bitcoin, so i was completely duped at that time but eventually market picked up in sometime I got some return of my investment which I ploughed into better coins and got great returns.
522  Economy / Economics / Re: Hope for cryptocurrency in Nigeria. on: December 29, 2022, 07:24:01 PM
Nigeria has come to consider the banned  which was put to crypto currency in the country in 2020. Ibrahim Babaginda the chairperson of legislative body committee on capital market and institute said that Central Bank of Nigeria does not have the right to control crypto industries and the Apex bank don't have the authority to regulate cryptocurrency because many digital investors don't even use local account since it is not a financial market but a capital market. the House of Rep be asked to approve a bill to that seeks to amend the investment and security in Act 2007 in other to designated cryptocurrency as a capital investment. Ibrahim Babaginda said the banned on cryptocurrency will not only be lifted but will be legalize.

https://news.bitcoin.com/report-nigerian-lawmakers-set-to-pass-law-that-diminishes-central-bank-influence-on-crypto/
A pretty good news for the crypto eco system for sure. I think this can give Nigeria the upper hand at world level and it can start to become host to many crypto related businesses, i saw that it is even training it's workforce for the blockchain and crypto related technologies so that it can be helpful when such businesses come in their country. After their ban now the road looks pretty clear to me.
523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 25, 2022, 09:07:52 PM
India won today's match depends on their batsmen. But after watching the game I thought India won't win this match.  I was really worried the way all the batsmen started getting out.
Yeh absolutely the whole indian team depends on Thier batting lineup because batters is Thier strength as compared to thier bowling, India need to found a bowlers like gem through IPL.
Back to the previous game I taught that pujara will perform like first test but he didn't, Rishabh Pant, Ashwin and Mr consistency Shreyas Iyer safe India from defeat against Bangladesh. While from other side L.Das and M.Haque perform quite well against strong team like India. Everyone are quite woory for Kohli performance but in my mind he will comback and will perform better than expectation
But man seriously even I was afraid today after watching the match score. India was continuously losing wickets and despite such a low total was just crawling towards it. Credit to Bangladesh bowling department also who remained aggressive till the end on the whole situation. All thanks to Axar, Iyer and the magician Ashwin whose batting has now helped India so many times in test Cricket.
524  Other / Politics & Society / Re: OMG! Putin ready to negotiate?! on: December 25, 2022, 09:04:12 PM
I guess it's safe to say Christmas has a way of doing things and it has certainly done something to Putin.
News has it that the Russian president and instigator of the invasion to Ukraine has come out to declare his intentions of opening talks with Zelenksy and his Western backers, but they seem to be saying "not yet".

The Russian invasion to Ukraine is in its tenth month and this war is the biggest confrontation between Moscow and the West since the Missile Crisis of Cuba in 1962. [1]

Are his actions actually genuine or is he really running from something entirely? More on this news here

[1] https://www.google.com/search?q=missile+crisis+cuba+1962&oq=Missile+Crisis+of+Cuba+in+19&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j0l4.16329j0j7&client=ms-android-transsion-infinix-rev1&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8

I very much sort of expected this. Putin wanted to put pressure on Ukraine and wanted to set an example of aggression to the world which was the only reason why Russia started the war in the first place. They never wanted to capture the complete Ukraine. They just wanted to make it enough afraid so that it doesn't tries to join NATO and even other countries should restrain from joining it. Eventually they will settle with peace and world trade will be back on track.
525  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading With Borrowed Funds!!! on: December 25, 2022, 08:59:11 PM
It is true that some people have become rich through crypto trading in the recent times. But considering the high risk involved in trading, do you think it's proper/wise to trade with borrowed funds as your capital irrespective of your trading experience?
Not it's not at all advised to do this. Trading is pretty risky, especially when you are a beginner the chances of you Winning a trade is just around 50% which even you can further mess up by doing FOMO. So basically you are doing nothing but just gambling. So would you go for gambling with the borrowed money? No, Right? Same is the case with trading as well then. But yes one small exception here is leveraged trading because in that you are not borrowing money directly. In this case it's just that you are trading with higher risk on capital which if you account for in strategy can be a good thing for you.
526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Problem with mass adoption of Bitcoin on: December 25, 2022, 08:53:38 PM
I was chatting about Bitcoin's impact and effects with a few friends today. My friends discuss the impact that Bitcoin whales are having on the adoption of Bitcoin. In the coming years, according to Bitcoin experts, adoption will increase. He claimed that 3.7 million coins are lost, with the remaining coins being held on chains by early adopters.

He claimed that this specific set of people is seriously impeding the adoption of Bitcoin. As they have the ability to shock the entire system with sell/buy. Avoiding a centralized authority controlling the system is one of the issues that Bitcoin seeks to overcome. If there is a large demand and widespread adoption, a supply shock would then occur.

However, the issue is still present and may be more significant than the use of fiat money. Unless Bitcoin holding changes in any way. I believe the system should be changed such that each person is limited to holding a certain quantity of Bitcoin.

I think that this will hinder widespread adoption. What do all of you think?

Happy Christmas 🎄🎄
Ofcourse yes, bitcoin early adopters or basically what people usually call the whales have stacks of btc purchased at very less prices. Obviously these have the power to manipulate the market in whichever direction they want. But the idea behind bitcoin is that the value of bitcoin shouldn't be pegged in anywhere infact the pricing of commodities should be in bitcoin itself. If this will happen even the whales won't be able to do anything as they won't be able to easily manipulate the value of bitcoin then.
527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 24, 2022, 09:46:25 PM
India lost 4 wickets, surprising to see India's performance in this innings. Obviously conditions have changed too much from India's previous innings batting but still not that much which could impact your elite level top order. The night watchmen Axar was sent. For the first time in this series it looks as if Bangladesh actually have a chance of winning the match otherwise it has always looked like a one sided affair.
528  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I am Bullish On Bitcoin Despite Bear market on: December 24, 2022, 03:44:11 PM
Hi guys I am no expert but according to me GUYS, I'm very Bullish for BTC coz, BTC is forming a Falling wedge and its a huge huge Wedge, when it'll break, BTC will pump hard but,
before that understand this Falling Wedge Bottom is nearly 14k$ & in worst case we can see wick to 10 - 12k,
but 14 - 13k is best best best time to BUY buy buy Alts and BTC ⏳ (keep going on your DCA)
& Next Elliot 5th wave will be huge 🔥⏳
I will buy Bitcoin and other crypto if it came to the 14k level cause I think that at time it should be pumped hard and almost cross 20k dollars in coming weeks.
Here is chart that I am giving technical knowledge.

Nice analysis to be honest, only thing is that as far as I know the Elliott Wave Theory. The 5th wave no matter how bullish you expect this to be it'll definitely not cross the 3rd wave height so according to the chart the max that we can see even in the 5th wave is 17-18k region because that's the max height of the 3rd wave so it'll definitely not go beyond that. So Atleast in this wave Pattern bitcoin isn't going anywhere above the 18k mark and after this you'll see ABC correction so, i am still bullish but will have to wait a lot to see results.
529  Economy / Economics / Re: It's Simple to understood now cash is king again on: December 24, 2022, 03:39:42 PM
Cash is king again.
The purache power of cash is great again.
Many people talking about gold will go up.
How can the gold go up If markets works on supply and demand system.
What's the biggest demand now ?
cash it's cash not gold not stocks not real estate not Even btc neither Silver.
World have now demand to oil and fiat currency.

Who told you fiat is in high demand first of all? It's only the USD which is in high demand which is just one fiat out of all 150+ fiats on the planet. So surely not all cash is king. Also talking about "king" i think king isn't someone who is in demand, King is someone who is able to maintain it's value always and whenever required. Cash which is USD might be in high demand in the international markets but in USA itself it's still being devalued even further which means it's purchasing power in the US is still decreasing.
530  Economy / Economics / Re: A fact that the general public don't know on: December 23, 2022, 09:45:06 PM
It's looks like in every bear season crypto always gets a bad occurrence to be called a scam, this is why I still look at the whole bad situations that's happening as a planned attack, I am talking about FTX and co.

The Politicians will try to ruin crypto and force KYC on every clean and unclean exchanges out there, this is a good opportunity for them to promote CBDC too because of this FTX fraud but I am here to tell you that FTX and Crypto are not the same things, FTX is a private company that did many bad things behind the curtain and Cryptocurrency is the most fascinating technology that humanity has ever emerge with.

Don't get it confused.
That's true all these things are nothing but just the opportunities for these political leaders and media channels to defame btc. But the problem is that today also if someone starts or wants to start with crypto he/she generally starts in on an exchange like Binance or Coinbase. So, if one of them( FTX) has got shut down in this way taking away savings of millions, politicians are not entirely wrong at their part, I feel we as a community should ensure that scams like the FTX stop happening in our eco system altogether.
531  Local / India / Re: is cryptocurrency being used to radicalize youth? on: December 23, 2022, 02:24:08 PM
Only a clueless government will attribute cryptocurrency to supporting terrorism. A government that wants to blame cryptocurrency but lacks the resources to combat terrorism before the time memorial. It's just funny.

Crypto is a traceable open-source technology. No transaction made on it that can't be traced. That's what the governments fail to understand. They are merely looking for ways to stigmatize cryptocurrency and disguise their incapacity to combat and eliminate terrorists.
Not only this i am surprised to see even RBI governor today mentioned that next economic crisis will be because of Cryptos, which is surprising, we are already in the track of an economic crisis due to faulty policies from government and macro economic factors but now they are trying to put the whole blame on Cryptocurrency ecosystem which is pretty surprising to me.
I will ask one simple question to break this myth.

Cryptocurrency is being used to radicalize youth - "by whom" ?

Who are those people that are using cryptocurrency to radicalize youth ?

Talking about bitcoin, it is decentralized and every person holding bitcoin is holding it by choice.
Nobody is forcing them to use bitcoin and in fact most of the people hold cryptocurrencies by choice.
So where does this point come from that it is being used to radicalize youth ?
Such politicians just make these statements when either they don't about it or they want to save their back from it.
I think we are the ones radicalizing, Cheesy ones who are into the system and are trying to spread this to other people as well.
532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 23, 2022, 02:20:51 PM
A lead of 87 runs is not that much but looking into the pitch condition it won't be that easy for Bangladesh to chase it. The pitch is more suitable for spinners now and Inam sure Ashwin and Patel will utilize it to full potential. Thanks to Panth and Iyer India were able to save their face otherwise chasing 227 was looking like a big task for Indian batters.
Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer, both of them played it like an ODI match. I thought India won't be able to take a good lead when they lost the 4th wicket before 100 runs. But India got 87 runs lead for the partnership of Rishabh Pant and Iyer. They couldn't manage to take a big lead, but 87 runs lead is enough in this kind of pitch. It will be difficult for Bangladeshi players to make a big partnership in the first session of tomorrow.

India could not take a big lead. However, the lead of 87 runs is quite decent. As Bangladesh performed in the first innings, they will lose several wickets to collect 87 runs. If Bangladesh wants to win in this match then at least 300 targets should be given. The performance of Bangladesh's batsmen is very erratic. And so I don't think it is possible for the batsmen of Bangladesh to collect runs like 380. This match will be competitive. But India will win the match. It will not be easy for India to win the match.
So surprised to see such a performance from India i was expecting that India would easily score 400-500 in this innings but they could only get a small lead, but yeah as you have said even this is enough as if Bangladesh score something around 200-250 again it'll then be a pretty easy target for India to win the match. I expected the top order to do slightly well but only 2 batsmen batted and made India reach this total, pretty surprising.
533  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Planning to implement BTC payment for my business but I have a question on: December 23, 2022, 02:16:18 PM
Guys I am looking forward to implementing crypto payment for my business, I am a fashion designer and I want to start accepting bitcoin first but my question is how can I create a barcode of my wallet address on a paper and put it on the wall so that my customers can just scan it and send my payment instead of asking for my Bitcoin address every time...
One simple solution to this would be using a wallet with QR code, even popular wallets like MyCelium have QR code option so you can use a device like a mobile phone on your counter itself with QR code on the screen, this will create a new QR code on every transaction, in case you don't want such hassle even a static QR code based on one address is enough. I know some 3rd party apps as well which provide this facility. Even Binance pay is an option but obviously it's more like a 3rd party wallet as they don't provide you the key.
534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 22, 2022, 08:11:49 PM
As JSRAW pointed out, Bangladesh was 213/5 at one point. Everyone were expecting that they would easily get to a total of 300. But then they lost wickets very quickly and ended up at 227 all out. Ravichandran Ashwin and Umesh Yadav just wrecked the Bangladeshi lower order and tail. And I was baffled about Litton Das batting at no.6. He is their best batsmen and could have been better utilized at no.3 or no.4. Mominul Haque was the only Bangladeshi batsmen who could score a half century and even he got out when it mattered the most.
Even i was surprised when i saw the scorecard that Bangladesh was all out for 227 runs, i was expecting them to score above 250 runs and was thinking about placing a bet because India surprisingly dropped Kuldeep Yadav which is surprising and glad to see Ashwin back in the wickets column. India had a great start and it is going to be another one sided game.
I think India will now go on to score atleast 450-500 by taking atleast a couple of days and will ensure that it does not has to come to bat again. They way Bangladeshi top order batted i doubt that it'll be hard for India to put up such a big total. This looks like easy pitch to bat on, even though spinners can do something but India plays spin pretty well too so I don't even find a problem in that department as well.
535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance delisted the following altcoins on: December 22, 2022, 08:07:42 PM
I think it is better for binance to remove the following coins since most of them like TORN and YFII are really risky coins. It will just affect the performance of binance if they will accept trash coins like those that are listed above.

Binance have always accepted trash coins unto their platform — I mean, have you seen how much coins/tokens they have on their platform? Binance mostly only delist trading pairs if there's little to no trading volume.
Binance has this habit honestly, it will start the listing spree the moment bull run kicks in because most of the projects are ready to pay hefty listing fees as most of the projects get good returns too. So it rampantly lists most of the projects that come in. But eventually when the time of bear run kicks in. It cleans it's interface by delisting these coins which it listed for some hefty money because eventually the volumes for such projects go away once the dusts of bull run settles.
536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Edward Snowden is ready to become Twitter CEO for bitcoin pay on: December 22, 2022, 08:04:04 PM
Link to the news
https://moneywreckers.com/edward-snowden-offers-to-become-twitters-ceo-in-exchange-for-bitcoin-pay/

Interesting that a person applying for the CEO position of Twitter is asking for payment in Bitcoin. That is how strong bitcoin has become over the years. More adoption yet to come and we may see even the majority workforce in USA getting paid in bitcoin.
Honestly I saw this on the twitter itself but this was more like a Joke made by Snowden on the Twitter post by Elon Musk. I don't think there is any genuineness connected with this. Also as far as I know Twitter's head office is in USA, so unless Elon is planning to shift it somewhere in Russia, possibility of this looks really grim to me for sure. Also not sure how would the American Employees of the company be happy about such a thing.
537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Two types of predictors in bitcoin market. on: December 22, 2022, 08:01:04 PM
It's really beautiful to see how these predictors even sometimes Change their perspectives based on the market cycles. Like most of them will think of Bitcoin as the greatest invention when the market is at highs and most of it will see it as a complete failure during the bear markets. Which clearly indicates how heavily they are exposed and how much they are in touch with the large institutions who spread the FUD and FOMO both.
538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 18, 2022, 07:48:25 PM

Update

South Africa took a hit in this series and lost more than 11 points. Next 3 teams must be licking their fingers and it won't be wrong because they can now fancy their chances, all thanks to this series. Especially India and Pakistan as they have 2 series left.

WTC table update....

-India carefully gained some points, although they still need to win 4 more matches to qualify and they should be extremely careful about penalty points (overrate).
-The Proteas are in a downtrend but they are still favorite candidates for the finals.
-SriLankans are the underdogs and they are touring Newzealand for their last away series. They desperately need to win 2-0 if they want to keep their chances alive.
-Pakistan well they F%cked up big time.

I feel 4 wins should be a very difficult task for India, 4 wins means you have to beat Bangladesh which might not be that difficult but then beat Australia 3-0 which is highly unlikely but yes this thing would ease out if South Africa loses couple of more matches from Australia then India may qualify with a rather lesser number of wins. Australia for sure is qualified for the finals. But yes the slow over rate will clearly slash 5 points from your overall tally so India is pretty bad on that. But If things come to India and England then English have the same problem too. This WTC has definitely given Test cricket a different feel as well now.
539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 18, 2022, 06:35:15 PM
What really fucked France is their goal keeper,  the goal keeper didn't at all in saving goals. France played very well, if their was to be good I don't think Argentina would have won the game. The moment the game was leaving to penalties I already knew  France won't score much goals.
In Penalty you can say this, but if you see in the Match he did play pretty well as well. He saved pretty crucial goals toward the end one in the extra time itself was really good, but obviously if you compare it with the performance by the Argentinian Goalie, it was obviously nothing at all. He was way better especially when it came to penalties.
Congratulations for those who bet on Argentina! It's a big win that this match will be put down in the history. Argentina people will surely celebrate the win given that their last win was recorded on 1986. Now that Messi achieved winning on the world cup, Who's the goat now? Messi or Ronaldo? Mbappe is one of the aspiring probable football stars in the future and might have a historic rivalry just like Messi and Ronaldo.

Argentina almost lost it. The removal of Di Maria ruined their game plan. The French team had so many fast player that could hurt them.
It was a really interesting game. At first it looked like an easy win for Argentina but in the 68th minute everything changed.  As for Mbappe, he's something else. The stand out player for France today. Without him France would have stood no chance.
Congratulations to Argentina. They really deserve it.
world cup is in place and all set for the Messi to pick up the world cup
lights - camera - action - Messi wil pick up the trphy in next minute
Really desperately waiting for this moment since many years now obviously can't wait any more to see the moment but yes this picture is going to be remembered for pretty long in the history of football.
540  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC Price Drop - How are Bitcoin Long-Term Holders Responding? on: December 18, 2022, 06:26:01 PM
Despite a rise in volatility and massive losses for BTC the long-term holders are positive. It is observed during recent sell-offs and downturns, those who hold for a long time generally remain optimistic and are patiently waiting for the price to rise again. On-chain fundamentals are strong and with the halving set to come in the near future the supply of bitcoin will be restricted and will create further upward price pressure.

What are your thoughts on this? What could be the rise of price by end of 2022?
I think there is no reason at all why you shouldn't be optimistic here, every time this type of phase comes in crypto it's generally always followed by a price rally towards north with greater power and greater highs, and at that time most people regret not buying it earlier when the price was low. Talking about fundamentals, at this point in time even the on chain fundamentals would look weak to you, but only thing that has still put me in-game is that there is a lot of potential to grow for bitcoin as there is still a lot of retail folks which are yet to adopt bitcoin in their investment portfolio or as a medium of exchange.
