Good news for assemblers! Fingers crossed SB updates us soon.

Please send me a PM if you're a smart, handsome, and forward looking individual that's interested in an obvious upcoming opportunity that will add value and variety to the forum. This opportunity may take a few months to coalesce, but the first mover advantages could be tremendous (ask waldohoover and Coca-Cola how that's working out.) ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) PM'd you, I'm not sure about the handsome part, but I tick the other boxes and would like to put myself forward as a project manager. I've got an idea for a CRM platform that I use on another project which I think will translate well to this.

I would be interested in a barebones hashfast chip based rig if the right PCB maker made it.
Have you considered approaching Barntech with the idea? They seem quite open to new designs using their Drillbit system and they seem like really stand up guys to deal with!
Interested. We are thinking about doing a Cointerra thing, but hashfast would work too if there are chips available. I have tried making contact with both and not heard back so far. Have you spoken with or had email contact with either company? Currently our plan is a Cointerra GB with the option of hosting in small nodes spread around the place, or full units if people want them. Already have some interested parties. Cheers. Barntech Hey Barn, I spoke to Cointerra last week as I was considering getting a group buy going. December delivery, no sample chips, but they will give full specs so a board can be built. Cheers,

I'd like to put myself on any waiting list for another 2 assembled boards.
Thanks,

All depends on how much money you are spending, what equipment you are buying and how much your overheads are. We can't just pull a figure out of thin air, for all we know you could have got the deal of the century, or could have paid over the odds for a block erupter. A good place to start is http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/

I purchased 32 chips plus assembly from Ibminer, i would like a refund.

If anyone in batch 1 gets refunders remorse and fancies getting chips, I was in batch 2 so was unable to have mine refunded.. Let me know and I will hook you up with the ones i've ordered for cheap.

Thinking about shipping this morning, ( i know i know we are a ways from that yet )
Would it be cheaper to ship say all uk orders in one go to a single address, then that person could ship them internally.
If such a thing would help to reduce shipping costs and there was a demand for it, Id be willing to offer my services to do this ( after being verified etc etc )
guess its early to be talking about shipping,
thoughts ?
I'd be interested in this option and happy to be vetted in order to recieve everything to my home. I have a lot of space and work from home so can get stuff out quickly.

I would create it through open office calc and in fact i think theres a higher possibility of errors when copying everything one by one...
But of course i planned to do it in small bunches...
Anyway... when theres no other way i have to do hundreds of transactions one by one...
Maybe ask yifu, he seem quite good with refunds lately ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Unfortunately he is doing them by hand too, though there arent hundreds of refunds. I think ill do it by hand now but before i start ill collect all data so no errors happen. I guess no on wants an error here only because of haste... ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Think i just got my refund back. Thanks for the brilliant service Sebastian.

@ Burnin
Instead of trowing away the pcb's. Why u dont accept assembly orders for cancelled ones? Seems enough peoples, have chips, but no order by you.
I have 320 chips in SebastianJU's Batch 1, that needs an assembly.
Whats the solution? Sharing between the users and changing the delivery adresses? Or we can place orders for already ordered Chips?
Thx Mastah
I have orders and no chips, think there's quite a few who'd do a trade.

Any word on doing cases for them Barntech?
I think 4 Drillbit systems in a backplane would probably fit in a computer case with power supply? But I see your point as well, something more custom. I want it to look really cool, that way the missus will quit moaning at me "What are all these wires?... wah wah wah!" It will fit inside a computer case for sure. Main problem with a custom case is the cost. It will be quite a bit to actually get something made, and also add a fair whack to the postage too. If it was a larger run, it would become more viable but at this point not feeling worth it. That said, haven't ruled it out. If i get some extra time i'll get back on the trail and see if we can get a cool option for you guys. Would people be interested in a case even if it was a bit pricey? We also talked about making some cool custom steampunkish wooden cases with fans at either end. That would also come out pretty expensive though, but may well impress you missus Lemonte ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Let me know if you guys are super keen and i can look into it some more. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) If your team could get a 3D design out, maybe some of us could "print" it out by ourselves ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Or made locally. Good idea? Amazing idea! Especially on the 3D printing option.

Interested in doing a group buy on chips and getting them assembled instead?

Cointerra is offering 20 500 GH/s chips for $57,000. A little steep but a 500 GH/s http://cointerra.com/shop/. This would be a prohibitive price I think. Still a much better price than their pre-built system. I imagine someone could design a pcb that would not have nearly as much overhead costs. I'd be curious what they price development or sample chips at, as just getting a chip to test with could be too expensive. I contacted them as I was considering doing a group buy and using my returned BTC from Avalon to buy some chips. They said that they are not doing sample chips, but will provide reference board designs much before the actual chips arrive.
