Wallet is stuck for me @ block 8786

I have deleted the blockchain (except my wallet.dat) and added the updated conf file.

Anyone else facing this problem?

Scroll up two posts to Water_kel's post Wink

Delete EVERYTHING in the %Appdata% Roaming> cleanwatercoin folder except for the wallet.dat If you only see a file called "wallet", then copy it and paste it somewhere secure...it is the wallet.dat file and you just can't see the .dat extension.

Then simply restart the cleanwater wallet, be patient, and let it sync Smiley

Updated Wallet: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/109392146/CleanWaterCoinWindows.zip

1. DELETE BLOCKCHAIN (%appadata/cleanwatercoin) (DELETE everything BUT DO NOT DELETE WALLET.DAT)
2. addnode=173.209.34.2 in .conf
there is no .conf in the wallet zip file.

Please dump your coins so we don't have to listen to your non-stop clueless crying. Go google Bittrex and sell....please.

I think it should be duly noted that a community member, voxelot went through hell compiling this windows wallet to help....and asked for nothing in return. Screw that.

If you appreciate someone helping just because they are part of the community, donate watercoin to: 5kGWnrLoBipkgtFgca6mntcUm9o7ahUi9K

"The dev"? Like in a single person (I guess cryptowest) trying to fix this mess? A developer can be brilliant, but when s/he has to do the work of multiple people with stress for good measure added, mistakes are certain to follow. No wonder that we are where we are. @CleanWaterCoin needs to get this person help fast. Nobody will want to be involved with this coin long term if it is perceived that it cannot fix its code.

I have nothing but respect for cryptowest and the team.

However they really need to address some critical things that have stopped me from hosting it on dedicatedpool.  The 15k transfer bug has been devastating for this coin.

That bug was fixed in the latest release.....if you are running linux you shouldn't be having any problems at all after the 8500 block. If you are using windows, you'll have to wait until a recompile is done from the same source.

That said, I believe there is still an issue for transactions greater than 10 million, Bittrex mentioned it in IRC but cryptowest was already afk.
527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Hard Fork Coming] Clean Water Coin | $2,000 Donated to Charity: Water on: April 09, 2014, 03:21:29 PM
From what I understand, the only "problem" right now is someone needs to compile a windows wallet from the latest github source. If the linux version is running fine from that same source, only a recompile for windows is needed.

The fork at 8500 worked smoothly and the linux wallet is running fine.
528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Hard Fork Coming] Clean Water Coin | $2,000 Donated to Charity: Water on: April 09, 2014, 03:13:44 AM
@Introvert.....I have suggested this more than once and never got any type of reply.

I think they have just two options:

1. Give back the PLC money to the investors and let the coin die, or..
2. Do as we both have suggested and use the PLC BTC to buy up all these dumped coins and get prices stabilized.

Some would think giving the PLC BTC to the charity would be option 3, but it isn't really an option at all. The investors did so to get a viable coin with a decent ROI. They did NOT donate to charity. If donating to charity was their intent, they could have done so directly.

Just installed new wallet, sync fine until I solo mine. I think I got a block at around block 8305. It says 0.00 coins in my wallet. The time in wallet is 18:25 PST.

 Huh

You would only get transaction fees until the fork at block 8500
530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Hard Fork Coming] Clean Water Coin | $2,000 Donated to Charity: Water on: April 08, 2014, 10:16:52 PM
Is this coin going to survive?

I have been following for a while and I really liked the idea of supporting charity water but as I don't have much knowledge of mining I'm not really sure on the long term ramifications of the code error on the coin.

AFAIK the fork worked and the wallet/daemon are running smoothly. Bittrex has re-enabled the coin and we have a few pools up and running, all on the same fork(some are still on the wrong fork). So now it is up to the public whether they back the coin or not......and by the price rise I'd say they are backing it Smiley

Please verify the pool you are mining on is on the correct fork.
531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Hard Fork Coming] Clean Water Coin | $2,000 Donated to Charity: Water on: April 08, 2014, 10:26:14 AM
I think we may get the official announcements at block 8500 about this.
Well, I do hope, but still I believe the official announcment should have been made long time ago. The community is left with nothing but pure speculations and many of us are worried. We would like to have a CLEAN glance on the situation and CLEAN explanation on what exacly is going on and what is the devs decision about 450.000.000 premined coins.
Although I am the Chinese community manager, I invested some BTC in the PLC too.
I also put in my mining rigs into WATER.
I believe there will be an official announcement.

I don't think many of you comprehend the true scope of this disaster. The code is so flawed pools and exchanges don't want to touch it even if it is fixed. They have had enough of total incompetence by the devs. Luckily community members and 1 remaining dev have worked their asses off to try and save this from total collapse and a pool or two are willing to give it one last chance....IF the wallet and daemon are completely fixed.

People bitching about "where is my IPO money" can either continue to bitch and all efforts to save the coin will evaporate and they lose ALL the IPO, or they can deal with the situation as it is now.

Short version: STFU and hope ongoing efforts work. If they don't, you lose everything.......point blank.
532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Hard Fork Coming] Clean Water Coin | $2,000 Donated to Charity: Water on: April 08, 2014, 10:15:05 AM
What are you going to do about the IPO investors?

Will you return the BTC invested in the IPO?

Will you recalculate the amount of WATER coins you should give to the IPO investors?

Are you going to do something?

It is not about YOU, they are trying to save the coin

It is not about YOU, they are trying to save the coin

It is not about YOU, they are trying to save the coin

They are trying very hard to save the coin

FFS dude, do you want them to send you a shitload of coins and them be worthless? If they can't save it, no amount of coins given to IPO investor will be worth a satoshi. Get a grip!

It's about me it's my money(even if it's a very small amount), it's not about you if it's not your money!
For me it was a investment, a deal was made, the coin had some specifications when i invested now i see millions of coins that where not expected(not in the specs), i tried to forget about the 13BTC invested after the launch but this now it's to much.

And if my my english in not very good, c'est la vie! Boas

edit: wrong quote

Just so you know, I have .5 btc invested because I was willing to try and stop the bleeding when dumpers started to dump. I know several other people were trying there hardest too. One person spent over 2 btc.

You might have bled, but so have others trying to save the coin.

BTW, if you are mining or can, please continue to do so. We have to make it to the fork to see if it works correctly.

AFAIK you will only be getting transaction fees until the fork. You won't be earning many coins but will be supporting the network while it tries to heal.

http://www.megafileupload.com/en/file/516628/cleanwatercoin-qt-8500fork-zip.html  <------repeat from an edit I made, You will need this new wallet before the fork at block 8500. Hopefully it fixes all the issues.

HUGE thanks to Introvert, voxelot, and cryptowest for not giving up!

Yet another fork planned. Don't give up yet folks. ONE dev hasn't, so back him!

Unfortunately most of the devs decided it was better to have a nap during the most crucial time of the coins existence. Maybe a plan can be made to get the coin back into proper hands and get the coding fixed. Until then, I think all mining and trading should be stopped immediately.
539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Hard Fork Coming] Clean Water Coin | $2,000 Donated to Charity: Water on: April 07, 2014, 10:40:30 PM
I just bought some on Bittrex  but they won't confirm in my wallet.   I was lucky because I sold enough of my IPO shares to cover my cost just before the 7000 block. So im even.  But I still believe in the coin and its purpose and thought Id pick some up cheap and wait for the correction.    Of course if they never confirm in the wallet   ...thats another story

I would leave them on Bittrex for now until a new and properly coded wallet is released.
540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Hard Fork Coming] Clean Water Coin | $2,000 Donated to Charity: Water on: April 07, 2014, 09:13:34 PM
What good are they if they are not able to be sent?  lol   I cannot send them to sell if I wanted too.   'Transaction cannot be completed'.

So doesn't really matter what the value of them are is because they cannot be traded.

'Transaction creation failed' rather.   Same thing.

First let me say I don't have the absolute answer, but I can offer a few things to try. Might work...might not.

Close the Cleanwatercoin-qt client, click Start and type %Appdata% and then click the Roaming folder. Open the cleanwatercoin folder and copy the wallet.dat file to a secure location.(If you only see a file called "wallet", that is the correct one) You can also use the backup wallet feature inside the client but on rare occasions this can fail, so I prefer the manual backup.

Next, right click the icon to re-open the QT client and run as Administrator..........this shouldn't make a bit of difference unless your anti-virus is doing something weird........but it doesn't hurt to do it. Now use the wallet backup feature. If it succeeds then your wallet is probably not corrupt.

Now to the sending part:
Try to send a small amount, like 500 coins and see if that goes through. The wallet Daemon has problems with transactions over 15k coins.
