521  Economy / Gambling / Re: Will halving affect gambling sites ? on: June 30, 2016, 05:36:15 PM
A few interesting replies here.

In my opinion, I believe the time leading up to and shortly after the halving will result in less gambling during this period.

I think that there will be a few gamblers that might want to see how the halving plays out and may opt to have their bitcoin accessible if the price rises to an amount that they think is over valued.

On the other hand, the halving itself may bring new exposure to bitcoin and attract new players as gambling with bitcoin is much easier and faster than conventional gambling with real currencies.

All in all, I think the halving will definitely have some type of effect on gambling sites.  As to how exactly is anyone's educated guess.

Dark Days- these aren't the Party Poker days. What sites out there have tons of games running?

Right this second, Stars has 50k players actively playing (among all their licenses).

If you are talking about sites that accept bitcoin, Bovada has ~3k, and WPN has ~1k.  SWC has 27.  Lively!

You're right about sites that accept bitcoin.

He may have been referring to strictly bitcoin payment method only sites, of which none really have traffic or traction.

SWC was the leading site in this category for quite a while, but as I grew tired of the disconnects and haven't visited them lately, I have no idea where they stand anymore.
523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Turn Gambling into a Profitable Activity on: June 30, 2016, 05:21:09 PM
That was a pretty misleading title.

There was really nothing of valuable substance in the article.

There currently exists a few +EV scenarios that can be found through bonuses and promotions as well as gambling that involves a skill aspect such as sports betting or poker.  In a sense, acting as the house bankroll can also be seen as a profitable form of 'gambling'.

None of this (what I thought the article was going to be about) was mentioned.

So... is there any incentive at all to keep my 120k krill account?

I don't think there's any rakeback for Open face which is pretty much all I'd play.

I may be wrong, but I think it'd just make sense to create a new account every time I wanted to play.

you still get more rakeback on higher krill accounts.

Is there rakeback on OFC games though?

Would you mind updating your profile so that you have trusted verification of your real name?

https://localbitcoins.com/accounts/profile/qwantum/

I'd feel much more comfortable with the legality and legitimacy of these cards if this is done leading me to some good volume of purchases.
528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My goal to earn 1,000bitcoins within 3years on: June 27, 2016, 06:47:01 PM
You can earn that amount easily with less struggle but not in gambling, in gambling you will continue to lose and to win, but if you start a business you will get a continuous profit and within 3 years you will earn that amount of bitcoins.
Yep making 1000 bitcoins with gambling is impossible, maybe he should create a new altcoin with better features than the current ones and host an ico/ipo. Tongue

Very very very unlikely, but I don't think it's impossible.

I'm pretty sure with enough time and effort, I'd wager that I could turn 1 BTC into 100 BTC in a year's time though.

530  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any trustworthy dice betting sites? on: June 27, 2016, 05:57:13 PM
I think primedice is the trustworthy one
Primedice also often give some bitcoin by giveaway to their user
also 999dice is nice too but i dont like its display
hmm, are you sure if 999dice is nice? i'll give you a link and you should read this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=948965.0 , after read that i want know your opinion about that site.

I have high doubts about 999dice and would not at all consider them to be trustworthy.  My personal opinion after reading through submitted evidence of tampering is DO NOT PLAY THERE.

Hey guys, I want to apologize for our down time today, let me explain our course of events.

We had an attack on our website which caused our host to temporarily take down our site to prevent any damages until we could mitigate the problem. When first notified of the problem I was unavailable to immediately address the problem. Once I was back at my work desk, it took some time but I managed to mitigate the attack and I thought we were good to go so I started driving home (rush hour traffic).

Phoenix shortly after I had left then informed me that he still couldn't reach our site, however I could from work so I found this very strange. I had him ask a few other people to test it and we noticed some could reach it and some couldn't. I instantly realized it was a problem related to the DNS. This was unfavorable timing since I was stuck in traffic with just my phone. It was pretty difficult to remote into my computer at home to diagnose the problem so I was forced to temporarily pull over to the side of the road. Once I had done everything I could the last bit of it was left up to the technician of our host provider and waiting on DNS propagation (which took forever).

Finally, here we are now and everything is up and running as intentional. Please let us know if you experience any abnormalities using our website/services.

Thanks for your patience during this down time,
Shogdite.
FYI.
It's the MP people. They attacked you.

No it is not Moneypot.

DDos attacks are illegal and we would never stoop that low if it wasn't.

Please do not spread libel.
532  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🌟🎲🌟 MoneyPot.com -- Your Trusted Bitcoin Gambling Wallet (Upgraded Speeds!) on: June 21, 2016, 11:39:32 PM
I guess that you make enough money from the site to change this embarrassing design.

I agree the site is kind of basic.  I believe it was purposely designed that way for simplicity sake at first.

We've actually had a new design made for a while now, but the css and coding of the new sections that's involved with it is the hardest part.

We will get there.
533  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🌟🎲🌟 MoneyPot.com -- Your Trusted Bitcoin Gambling Wallet (Upgraded Speeds!) on: June 21, 2016, 11:34:34 PM
@b0art

Please be reasonable.

We do have a high ddos protection plan in place.

If you know of any other ways to mitigate high volume botnet dedicated denial of service attacks without spending  over $2000 a month, please enlighten us.  We want uptime and full access for our users as well.
534  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🌟🎲🌟 MoneyPot.com -- Your Trusted Bitcoin Gambling Wallet (Upgraded Speeds!) on: June 21, 2016, 11:20:43 PM
We have been getting hit with millions of requests by over a thousand unique ip addresses.

We are tying to ban the attacking ips and yours must have mistakenly been banned in the process.

We profusely apologize and are currently working hard on mitigating the denial of service attacks from what appears to be coming from a botnet.

So when will it be fixed? Just now i checked there is still no progress and my ip address still got banned
Can you please try now or at your earliest convenience and tell me the results?

It should be fixed for you but please let me know if you're still having problems.
535  Economy / Gambling / Re: Moneypot under DDOS !? on: June 21, 2016, 08:39:03 PM
Why is moneypot under DDOS attack ?
No one except the DDOSer, probably knows the reason behind the attack. It could be for fun (doubt it), trying to take down a competitor or it is someone who got mad that they lost funds. Could be an extortion attempt as well.
Will this effect investments ?
Yes. Since MoneyPot can't be accessed sometimes, the bankroll won't move during that time, and no profit/loss will happen.
I'm guessing they will pause till everything is under control. But why is this happening ?
It is happening because someone decided to attack moneypot. Read more here, if your not too busy spamming for YoBit. Maybe after you make your 20 posts?

The attack is to complex/resource intensive for it to be someone doing it for fun. We have received no extortion requests, this is almost certainly a competitor.

You can't afford cloudflare business plan ?

We have the most expensive plan that is not $2000 a month.

If unsold by the 20th, I will be moving the auction to Flippa.

There's a legitimate bid placed based on terms you set.

Are you setting a buy it now on flippa with this auction still ongoing?
540  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Poker Information and Discussion [Shill Free Zone] on: June 16, 2016, 01:50:39 AM
updated some stuff, will update some more stuff some other time

Thanks for putting this list together - I appreciate the hard work!

Here is some feedback:
The Bovada.lv, Bodog and Slots.lv brands require documentation. They accept players all over USA.   Bodog is the brand for Canadian customers.  Slots.lv does not have poker, and has only slots and table games.

Balances have always been carried in USD.  You can deposit with a credit card and payouts were via check, wire, etc...  In May 2016, they added BTC deposits and withdrawals.

All withdrawals have an "estimated" approval time of 72 hours. Until approved, balances are left on the site, and are playable funds.

Once approved, Bovada "estimates" you will get BTC in your wallet within 2-6 hours.  The withdrawal amount is converted from USD to BTC when the payment transaction is sent to your wallet.  Although some withdrawals are completed as quickly as 2-3 days several people had issues in late May 2016, and it took over 20 days to hit wallets.

Emailing or calling regular support staff can be very frustrating as their abilities, responsibility and knowledge are limited.  Currently they also have poor knowledge of Bitcoin, the blockchain and how Bitcoin transfers work.  I've read "Bank Statements" were asked for a bitcoin withdrawal, and that "typo errors" were made when sending payments. If you have any issues, call and talk to a supervisor or manager.  They have the ability to expedite and resolve issues better than general support staff.

Feedback on Betcoin.TM:
I've never seen much action on their Poker.  After a few small deposits, I hit big multiple times in a row on their slots several months ago.  Had some serious delays in getting my withdrawals processed, but I had several large withdrawals processed.  I was informed a security check was pending by the admin.  It took a while, and general support's abilities were restricted with what they could do and status updates.  It took about 10 days to get the first installment payment, and subsequent withdrawals were quick.  I tried some tiny deposits and withdrawals last month, and those seemed to work fine.

Betcoin.TM also keeps pending withdrawals in the players playable funds until they are processed.  It requires patience to not play off your pending when casinos keep pending withdrawls in available balance.

Thanks for updates.  My wallet on Bodog says 1-15 min withdraw time, do you (or anyone) see that?  Not that I would expect it, just curious.

All my deposits to Bodog have been relatively quick.  If I recall, it only took a few minutes each time.
