They also just took all the freerolls 5k krill and higher off the schedule, pending a new rewards program with no ETA, so not much incentive to earn more than 100 krill now except rakeback. gg

So... is there any incentive at all to keep my 120k krill account?
I don't think there's any rakeback for Open face which is pretty much all I'd play.
I may be wrong, but I think it'd just make sense to create a new account every time I wanted to play.

you still get more rakeback on higher krill accounts. Is there rakeback on OFC games though? There is rake taken, so there should be rakeback. No krillrolls? That's pretty disappointing. I heard about this today and wanted to know what was up. Logged into the client...sure enough, no 5k+ krillrolls. But plenty of worthless 10 chipper. I went to their website to see if they had any info...nope. Last post was "Confession 012" about bluffs from a few months ago. Hmmmm. Maybe their facebook page? Nope, last update there was from November 2015. Twitter? Nope, talks about lower rake (which I can't find anything about on the website) and the last tweet before that was from May. And of course they haven't been here in months. Where are these people? Are they just throwing the towel in on the site?

Yeah, I was finally thinking I might play a krillroll for the first time in a while, with the 20k being tonight. This is sad to see

They lowered the krill leaderboard prizes which I think was their best promotions. It valued the players who are on there each day starting games. I know for a fact it created a lot of action as I started tables with good players just to get in the top 3 of the leaderboard. I emailed them and they said they're lowering the leaderboard prizes because bitcoin has gone up in value. I don't see why that should be problem for them because their rake is worth more too. Their support is great getting back to you if you e-mail them. I love the site but it obviously seems their cutting costs and not really trying to create action. I love the software and the choice of games so I will always play there. The problem is, most people aren't like me who sit and wait for action. I really hope SWC sticks around as I would hate to go back playing on a site that only offers holdem, omaha, and stud.

Long, slow death of seals with clubs seems to have started with the transition to "swc" a year and a half ago. How long until someone swoops in and made a nice bitcoin poker house that works on any computer? Alas. RIP. I miss the good days. If they're killing off the krillrolls they really are going to just be a tiny club soon. Maybe better to take down the public website and just run a vpn somewhere for the weekly meetup of the former swc players.

The krill rolls did not seem to bring people to the tables. Most people that played the krill rolls played nothing else.
As has been stated by a few people, that money should have been used for promos that would bring players to the table.

eh they made me play. if they didnt allow selling of accounts most players that would play in the krillrolls would be players that actually played. but thats their fault for letting those bums play in the krillroll with bought accounts.

To recap:
--Site currently has absolutely no players' rewards/loyalty program, something that every single other poker site has. --Site has little to no traffic for ring games. --Site has consistently slashed GTDs for tourneys that still fail to run due to a lack of registrants. --Management has failed to deliver clients for the different OS's promised over 1.5 years ago. --Support has failed to patch broken hand history logs despite constant complaints for months. --Repeatedly pointing out these shortcomings in lobbychat will lead to either harassment from other players or chatbans.
On a side note, the current strategy seems focused around trying to depict rakeback % as a reward for krill. This is hilariously LOL because anyone can sign up with a variety of other BTC-facing sites and receive 20-30% rakeback from the start, instead of having to dump 50+coins of rake to achieve similar rakeback on SwC.
The only thing management has proven to be exceptional at is taking the goodwill garnered by the previous iteration of SwC and driving it to the ground, and making promises that it cannot/doesn't intend to deliver on.

To recap:
--Site currently has absolutely no players' rewards/loyalty program, something that every single other poker site has. It's actually worse than that. They scaled back and then discontinued promised lifetime rake rewards (krillrolls). So they now have a history of promising something in order to get people to generate rake and then not fulfilling their end. One thing they do have is table starter rakeback, but it pales in comparison to it's competitors. --Site has little to no traffic for ring games. Seems accurate. Right now there is one game running. And it's headsup. --Site has consistently slashed GTDs for tourneys that still fail to run due to a lack of registrants. Correct. I stopped grinding tournaments on there when they sneakily cut all the tournament's guarantees and none of the worthwhile daily tournaments would run regularly and looking at it now it looks like they are even lower. --Management has failed to deliver clients for the different OS's promised over 1.5 years ago. And has stopped communicating with the players who want to play on their site. --Support has failed to patch broken hand history logs despite constant complaints for months. --Repeatedly pointing out these shortcomings in lobbychat will lead to either harassment from other players or chatbans.

The constant cutting of rewards/promos/guarantees (which will only lead to less players playing on the site) and aggressive silence on all social media and forums is very very odd. It almost seems like they are trying to fail. I really wish that the current owners would just sell their stake or hire a competent poker room manager. SWC honestly has the most potential of any non-Stars poker site and it's just being wasted.
