Looks fine after many reopenings. I'll try the mining again. Outta here going away I'll report the situation later.
Edit: I think the crux of the problem is that once you backup the wallet it moves the link to the wallet elsewhere. In my case when I backup the wallet it thinks the wallet is now on the USB, even though there is still a wallet in the AppData\Roaming.
Thats good that it works fine on your machine now, we will fix all inconveniences and add new features in upcoming releases.

As many of you know (thanks for participating), we have undertaken a market study of XDN community and are releasing the preliminary results. Below is the infographics portraying the initial results of the study. We are still waiting for some responses and sending out new invitations to participate in the survey to community members. To those of you who already responded – Thank YOU! If you received my inquiry, but didn’t have the time to respond yet, please spare 5-10 minutes of your time to reply. If you didn’t receive the inquiry to participate in the survey, but have a Digitalnote stake and want to take part in the survey, please PM me or send me an email ( brian.gerald007@gmail.com). As Xian has outlined in the previous post we launched the XDN Foundation recently. Please contribute to our discussion about the future of XDN Foundation: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1072773.0Also please check out XDN Foundation website: http://xdnfoundation.org/ it is nice to see a research and xdn discussion activity around here. thank you guys, i hope you will make some kind of report about your research and fundraising. Establishing XDN fundraising is a good idea, the goal of 50 mln XDN is pretty big. i hope you will raise it successfully, but more important is to spend it right, including charity, science research and of course community and new XDN users support.

Error report:
Yesterday I imported an old wallet and the balance imported was fine. Then I closed the DigitalNote Wallet 1.01-beta and reopened it and the balance was zero. I said to myself nevermind I'll reimport my old wallet when I need it.
Well next thing I also mined a few XDNs yesterday and after that closed the wallet. Today I opened the wallet again and the balance is zero.
Upon closing it says "DigitalNote is saving data".
Obviously that's not the case so what's going on here?
Can you please provide some addition information. First i must ask if you are importing old .wallet file or old .keys file. There is NO compatibility between old .wallet file and new .wallet file, because old wallet and new wallet = 2 different XDN clients. Like Bitcoin has native QT and lots of other type of clients. . wallet file in case of DigitalNote contains your private key + some additional information, like your outgoing transfers, or messages transfers. Remember. XDN messages can only be decrypted by recipient, in case you as a sender will not save your outgoing messages, you can`t backup it from .keys, only from .wallet. So sender actually can only remember, but if forget, never can backup his message, while recipient can read his message (or incoming transaction) any time he can connect to blockchain, because messages are in blockchain, but encrypted with the state-of-the-art cryptography. But .keys file contain only your private key and is and will always be cross platform and you will be able to import it in any client. You private key is all you need to operate DigitalNote. The way to migrate across different clients is just to import your .keys file and to wait until sync. So i ask you, if you imported your old .keys file or your old .wallet file? Much appreciate any bug reports, remember XDN is open source and is still in Beta, it works good, but lots of thing to be done and any bug or use case report will be very useful. I "File\Open Wallet" myoldwallet, not "File\Import Key" Here's what it did. Even if the old and new wallets are not compatible the new Client read my old wallet just fine. The balance and everything was correct. I had no new wallet, I just had the old wallet from the previous Client. After doing the "Open Wallet" command it was fine until closing the new Client. Anyways, fast forward, I just did "Import private key" and everything is fine even after closing the Client. Edit: WTF. After 3 times closing/opening the client the balance is zero again. Hm. very strange behaviour, we need to investigate it more clearly. Please, do the following: 1) Take your .keys file 2) Create the new folder called like "my_xdn_wallet_folder" 3) Import .keys and give you new wallet path to "my_new_folder" and give a name to your wallet "mynewxdnwallet" 4) Wait until network sync. Verify all your outgoing transactions after full network sync. Verify your balance. 5) Close and open several times your "mynewxdnwallet" file from the "my_xdn_wallet_folder". Verify your balance. Thank you.

How does XDN cap at 8 589 869 056 in case where large proportion of network stakes for long periods of time?
Time of the entire XDN distribution and reaching max xdn value is much closer, than 77 years, but any way we make a system architecture to be decentralized and "self-maintenance". In general the idea is to keep 150 block reward for miners forever, but still have max XDN number. You may ask how "Burning money" Oh, I am. I'm only burning my half. [throws the Chechen's cigar onto the money, setting it ablaze] All you care about is money. Joker Seriously, lets burn like half of a fee to reenter XDN in to the main supply. This can be started when need, miners will anyway have their Proof-of-work reward, but the idea is to go to the Proof-of-activity design to make network the most secure Proof-of-work alike solution and further more energy efficient in terms of network protection.

Remember, new DigitalNote wallet is an open-source software, so you don`t need even to download a wallet from any link, you can build your own from the source code on the official XDN-project github repo https://github.com/xdn-project and be sure in safety and security, at least while building it.

Hi, First of all, i am really sorry for answers delays, we are very busy this days due to high volume of contacts with the cryptocurrency enthusiast. all new pool owners, thank you very much for your support with the spreading XDN hashrate. Please, let me know your XDN address (via PM) for some dev donation. I will try to answer all questions step by step, sorry for the delay in answers, because of hard dev work with new XDN features implementation.
Much appreciate all community work with pushing XDN to a new level with adoption of payment platforms, new exchanges and markets.
Thank you.

i have ducknote it's need to swap to digitalnote?. or just upgrade wallet?
Any .keys ever made for XDN, including duckNote and DarkNote will just work with new DigitalNote wallet. Just open or import your keys. duckNote=DarkNote=DigitalNote=XDN. Same blockchain with the progression of features.

i`ve seen that question about xdnwallet paper wallet on reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/digitalNote/comments/38xxdx/will_this_wallet_implementation_continue_to_work/"Will this wallet implementation continue to work with digitalnote? And if so, could someone perform a security audit on this (entropy concerns, etc.)? I will tip. " The solution is quite ok but not absolutely secure in some terms. Suggestions: Instead of using one hash iteration sha or other "simple" hash it is better to: *10000 times of "simple" hash iterations *some kind of bcrypt or scrypt. key derivation functions, KDF

Mining at 150 XDN per block, it will take another 177 years just to mine the same number of XDN mined in the first month...
Is it not true of CryptoNote coins, that if one person holds the vast majority of coins, the anonymity is broken?
Both statements are wrong. First, you should notice, that deposit is a source of new generated XDN. Second, you should notice, that max number of XDN is still = 6th perfect number = 8 589 869 056 XDN. I foresee a question here, ask me and i will answer. DigitalNote is the most anonymous among all CryptoNote i believe. There is NO dust in XDN blockchain (the only one), because of base_reward structure, XDN have new (as an addition, but based on CryptoNote) state-of-the-art encrypted messaging cryptography, means you can transfer information in an incredibly private way, where even the sender can`t decrypt his message, only recipient can.

Is it not true of CryptoNote coins, that if one person holds the vast majority of coins, the anonymity is broken?
Emission curve of XDN is great benefit that made everything about XDN possible. First of all, you should check the very first months of duckNote mining and exchanging. I mean last summer period. From the very first blocks, when XDN was loudly announced here and on other cryptocurrency resources very big number of CPU miner switched to XDN (check difficulty charts and old forum discussions). Very big number of miners started to mine XDN right after announce. Another story is exchanging. XDN was widely traded last summer and the whole year on a few big exchanges with the big volume of daily trades. I strongly believe that DigitalNote XDN supply curve is a true example of implementation libertarian free market economy. Also XDN 6th perfect number and current supply is absolutely ready for mass adoption. Also XDN constant mining reward = 150 XDN makes mining predictable for business for a long time. Also we got a major coin distribution with the fair and decentralized mining and again, it is ready for mass adoption. Also DigitalNote dev team had an idea of implementation DigitalNote emission curve long before we knew something about CryptoNote, that is why you have seen a classic Bitcoin alike block reward halving. Also one year is a relatively long period in cryptocurrency scene, why should we wait before being ready for acting and mass adoption. XDN supply curve is a benefit we are proud for.

XDN brain and paper wallet - http://xdnwallet.com/Design is not very good now, we need something beautiful to print it out, like a Digital paper cash notes. Also deposits can be done with paper and brain wallet too, since deposit is associated with your private key. So you can make a gift with a deposit on DigitalNote paperwallet. Will be great to see some beautiful XDN notes designs for http://xdnwallet.com/. Thank you.

we need new pools. With the new update we also made an additional changes to open-source cryptonote-universal-pool and updated it to the new version. You can use it to start your own DigitalNote XDN pool. Every pool admin will receive a developer donation. cryptonote-universal-pool forked from fancoder/cryptonote-universal-pool https://github.com/xdn-project/cryptonote-universal-poolLets spread DigitalNote Hashrate. With the new wallet version XDN p2p network progressively growing up. Thank you users. In next DigitalNote wallet versions we will add pool miner inside. XDN mining and XDN operations (transfers, messages, deposits, alias, etc) should stay in one place, so it will be. 1-CPU-1-VOTE

in theory GPU miners should act better in some kind of multipool mode.
Yes indeed, however the only thing i need / want is a normall / good working miner. I don't care if its gpu or cpu, it should work good. What miner do you advise? can you show a link? may be some problem with "dd" DigitalNote address structure. Every valid DigitalNote address starts with "dd". soon we will build miner from an old wallet to the new wallet, so you will be able to mine just with the wallet on any pool, being a full network node. As for now i know that https://minergate.com/ is the most user friendly for XDN mining, but i do not know if they have an open source miner. P.S. After next week update celebration and update events i will put all XDN miners in one place, if someone will do it faster, much appreciate.
