521  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2018 end of the year BİTCOİN price on: January 31, 2018, 07:27:10 AM
Hi guys,

The first guess is me    65k-70k USD
The irony of your thread is that, you make a topic about the end of bitcoin price but it seems like you want to reach the price on 100k usd. I am so confused about this thread. Make sure that your post will jive to your topic.
Do not also make speculations without any proof. Just imagine you are discouraging newbies like me to continue the bitcointalk. Just saying.

This is the reason why we have sMerit system now. However until it takes effect in complete way we won’t see quality posts or threads even.

It’s good that you are here for the truthful answers and your own queries.

Everyone here will start talking the real thing when they will see they are not progressing in terms of their rankings and they won’t be able to survive on this forum if they keep spamming like this.

Hopefully you will get your answers. For this one, there is no real prediction unless and until we have sufficient data.
522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum on: January 31, 2018, 06:31:58 AM
This 2018 seems to be a good year for Ethereum and especially with the upcoming of the EtherZero (ETZ).

What do you think?

Do put knkw anything about the forks yet. The strategy and planning for the forks all dependent upon the developers and with the entry of vitalik into the ether we might just see some goodness in the market rise. It has always been good how vitalik took the things seriously while developing the plans which ate long term and sustaining. With the start of year I’m sure more rigid and at the same time dynamic plans might have released by this fellow.

The ETZ could be good sign for the ether rise and speculation is the only thing that’s playing for it.
523  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Huge Buy and Sell walls at the same time ?!?? on: January 30, 2018, 12:24:14 PM
Can someone explain me this ?? A HUGE buy wall and a huge sell wall at the same time !!

EDIT : image isnt displaying...

Oh the walls? You can always break them if you have pockets filled with some BTC. Im not sure what you talking about as I can't can see the image either on my monitor but one thing is sure that the specified coin might not be having much of the market cap. In such instances people might be buying and selling at the price with little differences and thus creating a wall which is almost similar at buy and sell point. That's just speculation and I have seen many coins like that.

Usually this picture can also be seen when the coin hits the exchanger and the trades are not in run yet.
524  Economy / Economics / Re: "Switzerland wants to be a crypto nation" Economic minister. on: January 30, 2018, 11:13:08 AM
Don't know why but I feel all countries should go with this decision and we can see millions of dollars flooding into the crypto just like that.

Switzerland is country where Swiss bank makes the real move when it comes to huge money (black money in would say). With that said I believe this will be easier for them to accept and implement the new set of rules for the crypto. If the output of this acceptance is great then rest of the countries may start following them.

I mean who can stop them earning huge taxes on that kind of money and enriching the countries situation. Jealous countries will follow soon.
525  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do I have to learn in trading? on: January 30, 2018, 09:47:21 AM
I'm a complete newbie but I am eager to learn how to trade and make some good profits can anyone help me so that I won't make many mistakes in trading? Any Tips?

Go through many threads that have already been answered for this type of question.

Just to get you started :

You must read, read and read a lot about the coins background. Do not invest into coin of which you know nothing about. This could be troubling in the future exit of your Trade.

Speaking of which you should only go with the old coins which are already listed on the exchanger and as newbie do not even try to enter your self into ICO coins as they are new and may not benefit you the way you expecting the profits.

Mistakes may be happen no matter what you do, it's better to learn from them and move on. Do not get engaged with any trade in emotional ways, it will help you minimise the mistakes.
526  Economy / Economics / Re: 99% of the people still think that fiat money are better than crypto on: January 30, 2018, 08:48:05 AM
He is not wrong either. I'm into crypto since very long time but I hate the thing that crypto currencies are not making any truthful growth with their technology. What we did until now is just using them to trade, invest heavily, use them to pump dump the market and earn profits via such illegal ways and that's all. That is the actual identity of the crypot currency now and we can not do a thing about it unless and until the Devs of crypto do something.

Why do you think government are getting against the bitocin and whole crypto ? It's just because they want to see cleanliness in the use of fiat and don't want to give it any characters that are being held by crypto.
527  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: tips for begginers on: January 30, 2018, 07:39:57 AM
any advice for beginner trader ? what exchange to use and worth trust ? what coins to consider trading in ? what strategies to use ?

As beginner you should do pretty much thing, I think the starting point would be getting to know how trade works in the crypto currency market.

Get to know what are the actual factors that are getting the market cap affected, this in turn fluctuates the values on the future or in real time if it is strong movement.

Do in depth analysis on these factors because it's not same as the Forex or shares market that we see in real world.  This is more or less very manipulative market, due to its decentralisation off course and hence you have to consider the fact that it can make sudden moves and affect your trades directly.

You will get feel for everything as you pass through different techniques.
528  Economy / Economics / Re: With Hackers everywhere, How safe is Cryptocurrency? on: January 29, 2018, 02:31:23 PM
I would say hackers are everywhere and they can not stop running the crypto currencies because they know very it's anonymous nature is leading factor for them. They kind of get extra layer of protection. Anyway with some research they can be caught.

About the precautions . .

1. You should store your tokens and/or coins in the wallet for which you hold the private keys.
2. Obviously store these private keys in safe place and I would suggest that you should save them in the offline password manager.
3. Never ever go to link of your wallet from different websites, chats etc. Always bookmark your wallet website link.
4. Using the hardware wallet is advisable but looking at the cost you may prefer focusing on the first three points.
5. Storing the tokens on exchanger is worst idea. Hence follow the rules 1, 2 & 3.
5. Do not use public internet and I am pretty sure if you access wallets like that then you will loose your money.

That's all I know and I follow.
529  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traveling to Korea - Arbitrage - Crazy idea? on: January 29, 2018, 12:37:39 PM
Did this guy reach the Korea already ?

I'm sure that it's not a good idea now to visit Korea. Lolz. After the breakout of Korean government like crazy bull this has become more illegal and harder to trade in the Korea.

On the other hand that was really bad idea anyway. I mean imagined the cost to go there and get the registration done plus what if foreign inquiries are set on you for financial laundering. Seems bad to me.
530  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lock Thread(s) After Getting Enough Replies. on: January 29, 2018, 11:52:15 AM
To be honest people here should be that much sensible to lock the threads when they are satisfied with the answers. But it looks like that they are hard to get satisfied and more mean than Oscar winner celebrity.  Grin

I believe this is just about getting more posts added to the account and shitting on the same thread when someone replies. As far as I imagine it does look like attempt to increase the activity because they can't think of different questions and are lazy enough to answer them or research about it.

Hopefully this will change as everyone will actually start reading through every threads and know that answer to their question already exists.
531  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Surprised fact about Bitcoin on: January 29, 2018, 11:13:35 AM
The bitcoin market value was higher than the value of Disney, McDonald's or IBM. By the end of November 2017, the value of Bitcoin has reached $ 10,000 per unit. At that time, about 16.7 million Bitcoins were in circulation, and the bitcoin market capitalization at that time reached $ 167,156,585,840 as of November 28, 1977, actually higher than Disney, McDonald's or IBM, and slightly higher than GE.

That's a good research and great numbers for the crypto economy. Sadly they are going down and my BTC is a sick dead in my wallet.

At the moment it is impossible to compare the capitalization of the cryptocurrencies and the capitalization of companies that work in the real sector of the economy. The money invested in the Corporation make a profit. The money invested in cryptocurrency work as speculative capital. They do not bring added value. Only reallocate resources. It's probably one of the reasons for the high volatility of cryptocurrency.

That's the real fact. We are not even having proper regulation for the crypto currency. This is like so much open source that anyone can put money at anytime and take it out at anytime.

Manipulation can be done to overall market cap with no prior notice this making the prices and market cap very vulnerable to stay stable. That's why the volatility and stuff. Rest of the real world merchandise is pre set business with taxation and contribution to the country in other ways. So truly there is no comparison.
532  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do in this Dip on: January 28, 2018, 12:56:31 PM
Just wait for the perfect time wherein you can have a good profit. Dont be on hurry. Do not rush any things. It may lead you to bad or nothing. Just be responsible in every oppurtunity that you will take.

Yup dip is something that is always wanted by an investor with long term holder plans and this is surely not the business for weak hands.

Rushing is obviously not a question when you are sinking dip, most of the people fall here and they do panic drama of selling. So it’s better to hold at this point.

Getting yourself too conscious would be bad as well. Do not reinvest your asset because they were bought at costlier rates and you should keep the investment into BTC and ETH predominantly. Rest is assured as we pass through the time.
533  Other / Meta / Re: Does admins respond ? on: January 28, 2018, 10:36:00 AM
I have problem with my account i contact them few days ago but no one respond to me Smiley
Is there somewhere other i need to contact? I send pms to Cyrus / theymos

If your problem is too serious then you can propose a thread in the meta section, look for the link provided by @cryptozombie14.

Sometime it is very difficult for the mods to respond to you in quick ways, they are really busy personnel’s here looking after the more important stuff related to forum.

Your questions will be surely answered.

If you think your questions can be asked publicly then better create a thread regarding that. Also, before creating thread do check if someone had the similar problem or not.
534  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Mycelium or Electrum? Best bitcoin wallet on: January 27, 2018, 04:33:29 PM
Both of them are having the same principle of working that is by using the "private keys" itself. One thing is sure about them that, both have the security measures uptown the mark. You can have initial password to both of them and later your private keys are master codes for accessing the wallet. So I believe both of them are good to go in long run.

As you are using private keys to access the wallet, the security is actually in your hands and how much secure you keep your private key.

About Ethereum : Make sure that you use the upgraded version of it, as previous one had some vulnerability.

535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where will your Cryptocurrencies go once you Die??? on: January 27, 2018, 12:17:09 PM
I think it's better we watch out for such projects in long term manner and then go for investing our whole assets into them. It's like handing over the whole life's hard earned wealth to these people and what if after we die they go scam all about it.

I'm not being negative about this but I'm being very concerned about the project which is made out of  block chain , the same blockchain that we fail for many times with different ico projects.

I will just save mine in a flash drive or send to my gmail accounts hahaha. it is hard to trust anyone especially like that online.
my family members knows that I am doing bitcoin thingy and they will know that my wallets is stored on my laptop and I have several backups haha.
just give a copy to your trusted family members and I think you should good to go

Look at this one. That's the better option I see. Better save it with your own will and hand it over to your family just the day on we die. Seriously can not trust anyone than my family.

538  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we totally eliminate all the banks in this world? on: January 23, 2018, 04:06:41 PM
What is the future of cryptocurrencies when all the government need to do is to close the bank accounts of businesses or exchange?

https://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-businesses-face-bank-account-closures-in-singapore/

I think banks will never shut down because economic system within banks is really flawless and is best model human have ever created. Government also knows that very well and they will never eliminate that part from the finance system.

Plus crypto is not the working model yet on which we can rely completely and throw all the responsibility at all. Not an option at all I believe.
539  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's High Volatility on: January 21, 2018, 04:28:02 AM
As far as i know bitcoin has a high volatility given the fact that it is in demand in the market but i did not expect hat it is so high that it can really go from 1-100 and 100-0.
I want your insights about this volatility of bitcoin.

What do we have to loose from that. I mean if it can go 100-0 then it can surely take the lead to 100 once again or even more. The fact is we have to be serious investor. The volatility is created by weak hands in the market who doesn't understand the meaning of holding the BTC for long. They are impatient and cause the disturbance to market with panic sells. Im always good believer of the BTC and always hope to see it moving upwards in the direction.

Plus there are some government who is not liking the idea of the BTC or even the crypto currency other than. This creates that extra negative hype where people think that their government might ban it one day. This creates another group of weak handed people. So you see, the market is full of manipulation which could be artificial or natural.
540  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investing all my savings! on: January 19, 2018, 09:08:45 AM
Hello guys! I am planning on investing all my savings (12500$) in cryptocurrency, so I would really like to hear your opinion. My current plan is to split it in to 3 :
-50% bitcoin.
-25% ethereum.
-25% litecoin.

I am investing the money at the next dip.
Please post your opinion guys.

Edit: I should mention that this is for a longtherm hold, about 5-10 years

Sorry for my bad english, but I am better reading it than writing it.. :p

Well, now the time has come where we should be reversing the % of investment that’s going into BTC ETH and LTC. I mean the odds has changed really and now we have 66% chance that ETH will go up this year after seeing that bitcoin is our real ghost and it has become old to run fast. I’m sure you will accept this after doing your own market research. I think 60% must be in ETH, 20-20% goes into bitcoin and litecoin. That’s the best deal we could have this year.
