Would be nice to know any ideas afloat on curbing the volatility of Bitcoin to FIAT prices.

A global Exchange, High volumes of traders, and stable government acceptance of bitcoin.

That has too many variables. There has to be some simpler solution.

Something built into Bitcoin, like an exchange logger that does not allow for mass fluctuations.

Regardless as to how high it climbs back, this is depressing to watch.

Well the only thing that comes to mind is a standardized exchange protocol that all exchanges can us, where in trade of bitcoin can be  done  between exchanges. This would stabilize prices to a certain extent. but trade between exchanges it self brings up  far to many hurdles than solution.

well I do not know if its legal.. I am sure exchange can not take part in any kind of trading..

reagrds
Well i am talking about trade between exchanges, like a user in exchange A get his purchase from exchange B. the exchange it self does not take part in the trade. But the inter-trading between various exchanges takes place to accommodate the best price for  sell and buyer, automatically.

524  Local / Mining (India) / Re: How does customs for importing mining devices work in India? on: December 05, 2013, 05:46:45 PM
On a lighter note, I was stopped in the Mumbai airport and questioned about 30 USB Miners that I had with me.

It was a good chance to explain Bitcoin and Mining to 3 people who were asking me what they were.

I even asked them to buy some on buysellbitco.in Cheesy

I got scammed!!!! AXORB form the forum scammed me. This was 2months back. Posting it late because he requested me for time to pay back.
He asked me for investment in his 3-6dice.com promising me 45% partnership. He sold the site n neva paid back any till now!!! Becoming hard to trust ppl. His fone is switched off n he does not reply to my mails.

I guess its  time  to put in the  scam label on him.

I was able to "kinda" get ahold of Nilam... Let me explain...

I happen to be a developer myself and found the complete source code to his site and decided to start going through it to see if I could spot any bugs that might have caused this issue in the first place...

I then began to "test" some of my findings and my IP address became banned. I then logged onto facebook and noticed Nilam was online so I sent him a message telling him I had some things about his website I found which were not the most secure. (thanks to Facebook's "Seen at: xxxxx" feature) I noticed he actually saw my messages. but no response.

I then sent him a message on skype asking if he'd rather discuss it there.

THEN HE FINALLY RESPONDED...

I then proceeded to tell him some things I believe he should change on his website (security reasons) and he thanked me and then I asked him if he'd refund the coins I sent to his website. and well... I'll let you read the last bit of the conversation:

... (discussing stuff about website REDACTED)...
[12/5/13 1:47:48 AM] Nilam Doctor: Yes, I understand
[12/5/13 1:47:52 AM] Nilam Doctor: now!
[12/5/13 1:47:55 AM] Nilam Doctor: Thanks
[12/5/13 1:48:06 AM] Nathan: Can I ask 1 favor from you now?….
[12/5/13 1:48:15 AM] Nathan: I promos I will stop bugging you if you do this….

[12/5/13 1:48:39 AM] Nilam Doctor: Nathan, since a long time, I am fiddling with the information, I need to sort out...
[12/5/13 1:48:58 AM] Nathan: I sent those two transactions to my account on rbitco.in and my funds are missing (never put into my account)
[12/5/13 1:49:15 AM] Nathan: could I please get those sent back to: 1L1cxL3YpJi4pGB4B9onJEB7H8XnqJVrwY ?
[12/5/13 1:49:24 AM] Nathan: my username is "xxxxxx"
[12/5/13 1:49:42 AM] Nilam Doctor: I will need to check these and get back to you.
[12/5/13 1:50:03 AM] Nathan: I understand you are busy, but with the recent spike of bit coins those funds are now worth much more than when i sent them
[12/5/13 1:50:06 AM] Nilam Doctor: I am a little tied up at the moment with other work, you will have to wait.
[12/5/13 1:51:41 AM] Nathan: I understand, I am just trying to get my funds back from a system glitch… I will send you any information you need to help with returning these funds if you'd like
[12/5/13 1:52:05 AM] Nathan: The "glitch" occurred back in october
[12/5/13 1:52:14 AM] Nilam Doctor: Thanks
[12/5/13 1:53:08 AM] Nathan: Is there any way I can send this to you so it will get done eventually? I have been waiting around 2 months for this to be resolved.
[NO RESPONSE]

531  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: IRC for Buyers and sellers on: December 03, 2013, 02:42:44 PM
personally i think its  not a  good idea to trade on irc, coz there is no trust factor.
we donot know whom we are dealing with (almost true in every other media) and the seller has got nothing to loose not even his rep.
i suggest atleast initiate the deal on forum and then continue to negotiate via irc.

Like trades every where on Bitcointalk always use Escrow.

yup we can do that .too

Need a quick and short write-up with simple instructions on how to login to IRC, etc..

How to connect to the Indian Bitcoin IRC channel :- (The Easy way)

Go to https://webchat.freenode.net/
under Nickname, choose a nick name for your self (you can also permanently reserve nicknames too for that read the Freenode FAQ)
Under Channel, type in #taproom
Enter the Captcha numbers from the box.
Click on connect.

You are now connected to the IRC network. and into the Indian Bitcoin Channel.

Note:- you can also use IRC chat software's to connect to the channel, one of the most popular ones out there is Xchat.

540  Local / Buyer/ Seller Reputations (India) / Re: Is BuySellBitco.in Legit Site for Selling Bitcoins? on: December 03, 2013, 01:44:58 AM
I've checked out the site a while back and have been wondering the same thing.  I haven't heard any negative news so I'd say test them out and report back your experience.

The site is good the guy running the site is quick and responds fast regarding any quarries.  I vouch for this site.
