521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's Your Feeling After You Finish Gambling. on: December 29, 2023, 07:32:16 AM
Primarily, what I'm feeling would always be tied to how well/bad on the gambling side. I think that's pretty much explanatory to everyone knowing that you would be able to talk to about gambling that when you win, it's a good feeling, "ecstatic" and if you lose, sad or "remorse" because you would think that you shouldn't have gambled today or make excuses.

That's how it goes for me at least.
522  Economy / Economics / Re: How will the BRICS currency influence Bitcoin? on: December 29, 2023, 06:32:51 AM
For everyone's reference, BRICS is the emerging national economy now. Namely,  Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. I just read some of the things with the recent stuff about it and it seems they still use their currencies. They are in talks about not relying on the USD and maybe it could have an impact but it doesn't necessarily mean that it would be a digital currency, so I think BTC is safe for now. BTC has its own level IMO.
523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction fees have disappointed me today on: December 28, 2023, 05:35:13 AM
That's why a lot of people have decided to do take on a different approach and different cryptocurrency just to use it on everyday stuff because it's getting harder and harder for it to be used on transactions that normally wouldn't use a fee just to do it. It's really hard to have that in mind because you don't want to spend so much on a normal transaction.

It has affected me as well and it made me not want to touch it at all (unless needed to). In a way, it's a good thing to not touch or use my BTC but it's still not going with the goal.

It is quite disappointing.
524  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you recommend reliable virtual credit card for paying bills (no KYC) on: December 27, 2023, 07:01:32 AM
I don't think you will find any VCC anymore that would not do KYC. I think that's already standard protocol towards financial institutions to prevent money laundering type of things.

Upon a quick search, I saw this.

I'm not affiliated with that, just did a quick search about this and this is what I saw.

525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many hours is the best time for a gambler to last while gambling? on: December 27, 2023, 03:11:18 AM
This would definitely vary from person to person but I do know some strategies by the casinos that help people stay in their casino by making their casino into a hotel. In my place, there are a lot of casinos and most of them have accommodations, meaning they could stay for the night and sometimes they are given free stays because they gamble a lot.

That would make them even more money because it takes a longer time to gamble. That's going to be the part where you need to acknowledge that you need to know the limit that you have to not lose a lot of money.
526  Economy / Reputation / Re: A clear change in the posting pattern. on: December 26, 2023, 05:09:54 PM
Nah, either you create a coming back statement or you stay silent, if someone feel something suspicious, you're ended up in the same fate. Take a look on this thread.
The Majority of the posts look very different from before and after but that's just what I observed on the account. Well, It really wouldn't make a difference. I think the lesson is just to make sure you have the right email addresses so that you can recover your account and use the signed addresses etc to prove you are who you are. That's it.
527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I never thought I would say this, but... on: December 26, 2023, 05:04:16 PM
I'm sorry that you had to go through that after the effort that you have made. You get to do edits and have it removed by the mods. It seems like in the post you are citing sources from sites that have a good reputation so far and even have the treasury sanctions on mixers etc. Maybe the one approving and handling it is biased and doesn't want to really "show" that it's illegal or something like that

Are there any alternatives out there that are reputable?

529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ordinance (ORDI) a good altcoin to invest? on: December 26, 2023, 01:57:59 PM
Being listed in Binance has given it a lot of volume and traction for sure. Maybe having a connection with Bitcoin Ordinals has given it that kind of traction right? I think you should be careful about what you invest in and it's best to see the news about it or something. If it's too fast in growing, I'm not sure how it could sustain or something.
530  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people rush in to buy things when rates are about to be lowered? on: December 26, 2023, 11:28:40 AM
At the back of people's minds, it's probably because of a history backing up their decision. It's in the frame where it's like a discounted thing that you can buy or predict that they could profit. Having seen the historical patterns of the market, they can analyze that it's a great time to buy. We all know that there are global factors, not just one local market or something.

We can never say what could happen in the future, it's still best to be prepared.
531  Economy / Reputation / Re: A clear change in the posting pattern. on: December 26, 2023, 09:31:01 AM
For those who want to check the posting pattern, it is on page 54 (as of posting).

I checked it and there seems to be a change in how it is posting and after 5 years, there should be at least a coming back statement or something. That's just how I view it if you are an active member of the forum or something. Idk. Probably hacked or sold?

I'm not sure if this can be proven or not though.
532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's Market Performance During the Christmas Period on: December 26, 2023, 09:16:30 AM
The primary thing about the changes in prices is the market. I think the following, on Christmas day, is different each time because of the investor's actions. Like how they would be in the holidays? Maybe in 2020, since there are no vacations or the pandemic is still rampant, it has increased in price because the money has nowhere to go. For 2021 however, the biggest decrease, probably because a lot of people already wanted to go on vacation or some sort. I believe that's the case and cannot classify how the investors are during the times.
533  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about long tails? on: December 26, 2023, 02:24:42 AM
There would always be an outlier where you would get that overwhelming outcome. Overwhelming if you won, underwhelming if you lost. It’s always going to be the case whenever you reach or see a certain streak. Long tails would result to a big payout but less likely to occur. It would probably need to have a lot of bets before it happens.

It is hard to rely on that unless you use a strategy like fishing strategy or something with a dice bot.
534  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your feelings if Bitcoin price takes your expectations unaware on: December 26, 2023, 12:08:06 AM
If that happened, it would be scary. I don't think that will happen to BTC though but just for discussion's sake, okay. Having that rise and fall is like for the rug pulls only etc.

It would be depressing to see that 3x amount and then suddenly have below holding value. This is if my original goal is to just profit from what I have. Then if not, it would be okay for what happened.
535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know when to ride and stop! on: December 25, 2023, 04:37:13 PM
Don’t increase your bet when you are losing because it will just amplify your loss immediately once you are in bad streak. Always test the water before you increase your bet.  Wink
This is what I wanted and kept working on with myself. It's tough not to do this because you are trying to get back what you have lost and possibly profit into "stopping" betting but if that moment comes, that's not going to be a benefit for you but for the house.

Sharing my recent juicy win using small bankroll below! At first I’m hesitant to ride but it takes courage to increase bet slowly especially if you have small bankroll.
A great win for you OP. I do hope that you get to continue winning. It's a great share. Hoping the members here could recreate  Shocked
536  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New Trends Among Beginner Traders on: December 25, 2023, 04:11:24 PM
I have engaged with a couple of them in trading conversations, and they beat around the bush, replying with generic responses without any real experience.

Has anyone else here noticed this too?"
When I read this part, it seems like you are talking to a bot or something. If it's like generic responses and no content in general. It's just really sad to see that it's just fluff and not much real interaction or something.

A lot of people seem like they are more interested in a "quick" way of earning money which could lead you to quickly losing it as well.
537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do casino owners benefit from creating multiple casinos? on: December 22, 2023, 05:16:49 AM
If they are really monopolizing the market, I think segmenting it with another one would be ideal so that there would be "Choices" for consumers. Maybe different people or locations would attract more with that different branding instead of the already successful already.

It could be about diversification as well. If one fails, there would be the other one to save the other business or something. I think for the economy, it's helpful because it provides jobs, etc.

I hope this doesn't happen but manipulation of the promos or something. Make the market or something.
538  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: STOP! Before you become a prey of a scammer! on: December 21, 2023, 09:38:28 AM
This is what I'm trying to prevent for myself, knowing that it's "weird" to see some famous people promoting stuff that probably is not aligned with what they are famous for or something, people should be careful with that.

Too good to be true things are not worth too much of an effort if you see so many problems or red flags with it. Better to know who you are talking to before you get attracted to the scam or something.
539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Michael Jordan a gambling addict ? on: December 21, 2023, 08:34:18 AM
I know there were a lot of issues and conflicts during his time in the NBA where I remember that he is with his dad gambling or something. I think with what you posted OP, it's like "He can be an addict and still manage to be responsible". Since he has a lot of money, he doesn't necessarily get affected much because of the pool of money that he has. I'm seeing this as a type of "it's okay to be an addict as long as you're responsible".

Wouldn't that be a good question? Some people nowadays are getting more and more into video games and they are still responsible but spend a lot of time in front of a computer.
540  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] BestChange Signature Campaign | Sr Member+ on: December 21, 2023, 05:12:04 AM
Yeah I noticed its a very high fee, however I think its because there are unconfirmed parents, as BestChange said there are 4 other unconfirmed transactions. I think the easiest way to deal with this would be to just make the payments monthly instead of weekly until this congestion goes away.

I also second the payment to be bi-weekly or monthly has you have suggested. The move to other coins as payment isn’t bad but i think it will mean best change have to go through the process of having to swap bitcoin to the other coins accepted by members and also having to get a good wallet for the storage of that coins if they don’t want to swap it every week when sending the payments.

Although for the Main time I will advise other participants still using legacy addresses to switch to the native SegWit format to at least reduce the cost of the transaction. Also Bestchange should consolidate their own inputs because the inputs are also growing which is adding to the charges. This $698 for fees is too outrageous to be continued with
I agree that the fees are enormous now and having to us bc1 addresses would be better to save some of the fees. It's okay for me to have longer range to save from these kinds of fees.

As for the voting, I agree with bi-weekly or monthly. It's okay for me.
