521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japanese Airlines to accept bitcoins soon on: May 29, 2017, 12:31:45 AM
Well that's really good. As we all know Japanese airlines is one of the best airline in the world yet expensive it's performance is really outstanding. Because of the legalization of Bitcoin in Japan and because of the acceptance of it in the airline. Imagine tourist travelling and in the sign, we accept BTC, then a lot of people will be curious on what is BTC. Some will research about it and some will buy causing it's demand to became high and become one of the factors why it will be known to the world. Good job Japan.
522  Economy / Economics / Re: Worst bitcoin decision you've ever made? on: May 28, 2017, 03:00:32 PM
The worst decsion I made so far is panice selling my bitcoin. I sold almost 10BTC at price of more or less $800 since I'm affraid that it might dump more. Now, it's more than $1500 and I regret selling it so much.

Well that was really regrettable, I mean 10BTC for $800 dollars. You can buy house and lot if you sell that BTC now especially that its price reached 2000$ plus in the last days. It's a lesson that it's really good to hold BTC when you don't need cash.

I decided to sell my bitcoins but a week later, the price increased. Should have waited.

This sometimes happens, just can not accurately predict the price and I do not think this is the worst thing that can happen. It is much worse to lose in gambling.

True. As long as you've bought it at a low price and sold it in a higher price then it is still a win win situation. The only thing to worry is that what if the price go higher but still it's good because there is a profit, unlike in gambling you can lose your money in a couple of seconds.

My worst decision is that at the very beginning I wanted to earn a lot of money and lost a lot of money in gambling.

Well if you really want to earn don't be so succumb in gambling, it's true that there is a possibility that you can won a lot of money but the there is more to lose there. It is better to go to investments instead.

i just want to ask, why does i dont have a stake for this week? i have been done my 15posts a week so why dont I have no stake? please explain to me why did i do wrong. thanks for understanding.
Maybe it's because your post is not fully accepted by dev,
Sometimes we have to go beyond our post, to anticipate

You are right, it's because some our post is not accepted by manager campaign.
For better way and antipate we can post 17-20 post per week.

True. Sometimes we always have a peace of mind when we've done the posts for that week, for example the rules is 15 posts weekly, and we posted 15 but the dev check the posts and he found out that only 12 is constructive so still it didn't count. We must have at least an extra 3 posts weekly just in case and don't forget to posts on the Ann thread.

525  Economy / Speculation / Re: We are still not in a bubble! 20k$ is INCOMING! on: May 27, 2017, 10:29:23 PM
Nothing can be taken for granted in this universe. Yes, speculation suggest that Bitcoin price will ht 20K soon, but then there are some other factors which can just hinder the steep rise. Afraid, if the Governments start to interfere in blockchain and take control one day.

True. I think what we have here is just a speculation based on the past events, but it won't always work that way, it is not about only getting up. It would be more convincing if we can solve it mathematically (formula of appreciation, engineering economics), but because there are so many factors to consider (like people's change of heart in decisions that is mathematically impossible to solve), we just have a speculation. Well my prediction on BTC in the next two years will be 10k $ but still 20k might be in the four years or so. Everyone became so excited in the last price hike that lead to them that BTC will grow up to 1million$. Still time can only tell.
526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a source of income? on: May 27, 2017, 02:07:10 PM
If people will leave their current jobs just to focus and work with cryptocurrencies, I think they need to work hard to be a successful person or they can also work as developers or as a trader. This is the best thing to do if they want to make the bitcoin as their source of income.

True you won't become reach by just doing signatures. You need something more or you're going to invest your earning here in businesses. Always have a backup plan.

I would think thrice to leave my job for bitcoins. Everything I earn online is in bitcoins, but in real life,we have rely to fiat as there is currently no other option. Many less people are aware about that such a thing even exists.
If there is some long term opportunity to earn bitcoins online by getting hired by a big bitcoin company, then one can give it a thought.

If you have a degree and diploma and have a decent job, why leave it? BTC is good but just work here as a sideline. It will be a loss situation if you just left you're job unless you've become a developer or a very good programmer here that the salary equals your work in the real world.
527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is not Ideal, it represents possibilities. on: May 27, 2017, 01:22:34 PM
I agree that bitcoin is not ideal but represents possibilities because when a country accept and open its door to bitcoin then it also accepts possibilities to have a great economy because bitcoin will help a country to have a faster payment system and more profitable because of being volatile of bitcoin to its price.
As we can see Bitcoin is a threat to central banks and countries are backed up by banks. So unless that country is not dependent on the world's current system then it will make the economy grow, but when the country still denies cryptocurrencies mixing the two (fiat and cryptocurrencies) will be difficult.

Bitcoin can't be hacked, it's impossible.  Even 51% attacks wouldn't be hacks, they'd just be attacks on transactions.  Double spending isn't really very much of a threat unless it has no confirmations - a lot of the reason we have mining is to fix the double spend problem.

A lot of the problems you mention don't exist.  Anonymity isn't even a problem, and if people want anonymity they'll gradually move to real anonymous coins like Monero, and illegal activity will just be a side effect so it doesn't really matter that they're used for illegal activity.  Cash is as well.

Bitcoin isn't perfect but you're looking at the wrong things as problems.

Bitcoin could be hack, the bitcoin network is the one that can't be hack. The bitcoin in our online wallets could be hack because it is connected on the internet, I mean it is too vulnerable to the eyes of the hacker, while the bitcoin network has been made to be decentralized that is why it is too complicated to hack by the hackers. Bitcoin network is too secure and safe, because the whole life of bitcoin is depending on it.

Getting it hacked is the worst thing that could happen to us, if the bitcoin network would be screwed by this hackers.

True. The addresses can be stolen, with a screeshot or a spy eye on you or using a sniffer or a screen recorder the address can be stolen, like fiat wallet it is on us on how we will keep it safe. The system is the one that is hard to break, but we still don't know. Even the people in the past said that the enigma machine is impossible to crack and now it is a piece of cake. But I think before that happens cryptocurrencies will improve too.

529  Other / Off-topic / Re: Young people should go all in on bitcoin on: May 24, 2017, 09:22:51 PM
Going all in in bitcoin and rely on parents? lol never put your egg in one basket, never invest or going all in into one thing. Yes bitcoin is good but if somehow bad thing happen, then what? you lose all your asset and will keep relying to your parent? and how much this young people could spare for bitcoin?

Right you can't just depend on BTC all the time. If you have a career in the real world (e.g. engineering) the pursue it. BTC is just a very good sideline work but still anything that can go wrong will go wrong like the Murphy's law. It's good when you earned million in BTC and you've founded a very good foundation but if not then don't sacrifice your own career in life. It's really good that you are a graduate with a degree.

If they don't have tutor maybe they are just wrecking their lives bitcoin is not a game where they can earn money for it they need to face too much risk from using this also they will knew about gambling. But when bitcoin introduce them well then let's support them well too.

In trading and in investing yes. It's like a gamble and a waste of effort and money. Lacking knowledge to these things can also lead to misconceptions that will make BTC have a bad name. Risks is everywhere, but know where to stand in these field to avoid scams and regrets.
530  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are bitcoins worth to become a career?? on: May 24, 2017, 01:09:28 PM
Is it??

Post your opinions and status in bitcoin and lets talk about it Smiley
What do you mean by career ? Bitcoin is a currency. You can accept bitcoins as a mode of payment for your job or services offered.
If you decide to hold some bitcoins then that too may be profitable.
If you want a career in bitcoin related services you have to improve your skills in programming and/or graphics , trader, etc.

I think what he trying to say is that we can pursue a career in cryptography or a miner or a Cryptocurrency programmer which I think schools don't have that kind of courses now. In the near future if cryptocurrencies really replaced fiat then I think there will be courses about cryptocurrencies that will be offered. As it is now there is no such thing but self improvement and self experienced of skills in cryptocurrencies.
531  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is BTC for you? on: May 24, 2017, 08:28:23 AM
BTC for me is a source of additional income to earn money from the internet, I am very happy to know BTC because the tansaksinya very easy, and not complicated.

BTC is a very good source of income for students and even professionals, because it is less hassle and less manpower work. Well it can become complicated too when  you're a miner of a programmer or a trader and it's disadvantages nowadays is it's high fees and slower transactions.

Bitcoin to me is an asset which you can create opportunity and even build an empire. It is a great tool to earn on the internet. It is a universal currency together with other altcoins.

Bitcoin is the mainstream of course, many altcoins tries to dethrone Bitcoin but failed and every investor that once in the altcoins will also go to btc. Well for us it can become a universal currency in some way but the term universal means that Bitcoin can be used by all levels of society in different parts of the world and people worldwide.
532  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you deal with loss? on: May 24, 2017, 08:00:27 AM
You won't have to deal with any loss if you don't make shitty investments like throwing dice in the first place. Investing in shitcoins has a price. Drink a nice glass of cold water and swallow it with your "lose" pill. It will make you smarter next time.

Nice nice. It's really hard to bear heart in defeats like that. It feels like you just burn away a couple of cash and you won't be able to sleep for about one week because you're thinking the shit that you do. Oww the feels .

But still, as you have said at least you're going to learn from your mistakes and be cautious nextime in every move. Of course we can't control the outcome that's why experience also matter. Forget and let's all keep moving forward.
533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If I were Satoshi Nakamoto... on: May 24, 2017, 05:56:11 AM
If you were Satoshi Nakamoto, would you:

  • reveal yourself?
  • if so, how would you do this?
  • what would you think of Bitcoin today?
  • what would you think of altcoins today?

If I were Satoshi Nakamoto:

No. Bitcoin is a complex system and being a programmer with no proper security, my life is on the line so I won't reveal myself.
Well I will store some BTC in my cold storage and became like low in the online world. Travel the world. Enjoy life or play games.
Well Bitcoin is really outstanding nowadays because some countries are recognizing it so it's not a very bad years for BTC.
Altcoins are more improved version of bitcoins and they want to dethrone Bitcoin but if Bitcoin have some error that altcoins don't have then why don't give altcoins a try.
534  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You only lose if... on: May 24, 2017, 04:42:47 AM
Well if you are profligately spending your treasure into something that is not worth the spend then you are really going to lose like you are a impulsive gambler that don't quit even if you're losing too much. One of the things also why people lose is that they are lacking knowlegde on something and recklessly spend their money without having background knowledge on that particular field. Every moment of life is a battle field you'll lose if you give up, in BTC and in real life we can't just give up to something because it is hard.

Week 3 Done
536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy Bitcoin Pizza Day everyone ! on: May 23, 2017, 05:05:05 AM
Seven years ago, on May 22nd 2010, 2 pizzas were bought for 10'000 bitcoins, say USD 21 millions as of today.

http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-pizza-day-celebrating-pizza-bought-10000-btc/

After a terrific roll, I wouldn't be surprised if it trades at 20'000$ in 7 years!

As I'm typing these where 1 Bitcoin equals 2251.00 US Dollar approximately 22510000 million dollars enough to invest in shopping malls and hardware's. I think the owner of 10000 Bitcoin at that time is happy that he bought the pizza using Bitcoin but I wonder how he feel now that bitcoins price is more than what he think it is.
If it is me I'll be thinking about it for an hour everyday of the rest of my life.
537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your game and why? on: May 23, 2017, 03:53:06 AM
For me, it's Football.
I really love this game. Some people around myself say that I'm addicted to enjoy playing or watching football. It really brings a lot happiness for me. I just love this game.

Well I'm not really a football fan but when I've watched detective Conan (football is Conan's favorite game), since then I've researched about football then find out the best players in the world today (Ronaldo Messi). I also find out that there are billion fans of football worldwide. Tho I don't actually watched all of football games in tv regularly I always keep in touch in the football news on the web. And I'm starting to love the game too besides basketball.

It depends on the mood that I am in, based on my gambling portfolio I would state that the type of gambling games that I play the most would be regular Sports Betting. I like to play Sports Betting with Bitcoin only though because I don't really have that much places where I could make a money withdrawal within 24 hours while staying at home.
Bitcoin Sports Betting is a nice method to making a bunch of Bitcoins if needed.

Me too, most of my gambling time is devoted to sports gambling. I have had bad experiences in casinos which is why I only stick to sports gambling. I usually lose in casinos, I don't know why. I tend to over analyze in casinos and end up losing my deposit.
The only disadvantage of sports gambling is that it only comes in season (unless you are betting in a lot of sports). The advantage is that you can't lose regularly because it is only seasonal.
When I'm typing this I've lost today because GS wins in San Antonio. Sad.

538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why I suddenly decided to leave gambling alone. on: May 22, 2017, 08:17:04 PM
If a person does not have the realization that he has lost a lot and lost everything. Then the saturation point that makes a gambler decide to go from gambling, because every thing must meet the saturation point.

True. But humans stupidity knows no boundaries, were an exception for these well unless on course we die. What I'm trying to say is if we meet the so called saturation point I think some are hopeless or their heart is shattered at that time because of the loss, guilt and hate in gambling and I'm hoping we all of us won't reach that point before we realize that enough is enough.

that's actually one of the best decisions you'll make your entire life and an experience that will make you a better decision maker in the future. I think a lot of people can relate to what you've experienced and sadly not all come to the same realization and continue their gambling ways.
Some people are just born a warrior but a stupid warrior, they keep fighting although they have already known they keep losing in gambling, that attitude is actually good if you will apply it in things or activities when you have a better chance to succeed, gambling is simply not for everyone so we must understand it. Quitting is the hardest decision but if it will solve the problem then it should happen.

Some people don't want to sheath their sword once it's out. Pride? Ego? Price? I don't know whats keep pushing them up to these point. On must knows that the limitation of something is settled to know that the limitation of something must be stopped. Yes it is on their own if they really want to stop gambling but when you see that you are suffering from it without a great cause then it is time to give up the battle.

its a totally valid point that bitcoin is the perfect long term investment and if anyone can handle that then they are truly the next elites,[/b] anyway as you said if you are like us then you would go all on bitcoins currently we can not do that. its right that our parents are taking care about our charges but we have to take care about using internet and paying its bills. no bill paying and there will be no internet. we are earning lot more than our mothly internet bills but we are buying assets which can help us in studying so I see no point of us to go fully on btc

True. It's just need more perseverance and patience and a long term effort. This is just the beginning of cryptocurrencies, well it's like that it is just the beginning of the Microsoft giant where it's employee nowadays are elites so when we can handle the world of cryptocurrencies now then we have a really good future ahead.

The part of "no point of us to go fully on BTC", it is true because like me I'm just a working student and I have part time jobs and one of it is being a bitcoiner here. Sustaining my needs in school everyday is tough for me and BTC help me a lot. Pursuing career in engineering and making BTC a part time job is a very good combination. Smiley
