5201  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: OpenBazaar Opening ? on: January 16, 2016, 08:10:11 AM
They've just released another development update on January 12:
https://blog.openbazaar.org/

It's looking pretty good already, can't wait till it releases Smiley
5202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: January 16, 2016, 08:01:46 AM
You could try blocking all the websites that you gamble on in a way that makes it really difficult to unblock them.
That might help you quit gambling together with some other activity to distract yourself.

This app might be usefull too:

5203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An Open Letter from Sam Cole (CEO of KNC Miner) on: January 16, 2016, 07:56:24 AM

increasing the limit of core to 2mb, is making bitcoin an altcoin? since when? this change is needed, even satoshi said so

the limit was there because of past reason, there is no need to maintain it anymore

what xt was proposing was worse, because they were adding other random crap like ip checking and the increae was too high(8mb)

So what is actually stopping this from happening? What are the possible downsides of increasing the block size to 2mb?
5204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Netflix will consider accepting BTC! on: January 16, 2016, 02:51:03 AM
If they actually do this for real then I will buy a subscription again, I'm currently not using it.
It would be great advertisement for Bitcoin, I think.
5205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is DEAD... on: January 16, 2016, 02:01:57 AM
Haha, amazing that someone actually keeps count, we'll be over a hundred in to time probably Smiley
What are the requirements to be mentioned though? Can't count every forum post...
5206  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: January 16, 2016, 01:56:00 AM
do not have a target to buy bitcoin, but I buy bitcoin when the price falls. because I bought just to play bitcoin trades

how about today ?
the bicoin price decrease -17% in 7days

are you will spend your money to buying bitcoin ?

I'd wait a couple more days, it might drop even more. I am sure that it will rise again though Smiley
5207  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: List of Bitcoin/Blockchain Visualizations on: January 16, 2016, 01:54:18 AM
These are really cool, I've bookmarked the page Smiley http://analytx.io/map is definitely the nicest imho, some of them are pretty buggy or have obnoxious sounds
5208  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin will rise again on: January 16, 2016, 01:49:24 AM
Yeah of course it will rise again, too many people are heavily invested and I reckon that quite a lot of people use it for everyday transactions and thus are still buying Bitcoins.
5209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who can tell that when our luck come to us? on: January 16, 2016, 01:47:49 AM
I honestly think fortune tellers are just scam artists. And that you yourself have no control over your luck.
5210  Economy / Economics / Re: I'm not gonna sell any coin. on: January 15, 2016, 03:31:20 PM
Yeah, I'm not going through the hassle to get my coins out of cold storage either. I'm just waiting this one out, I'm pretty sure this is just a temporary panic reaction to that Medium article that Mike Hearn wrote.
On a side note: I'm so glad that Cryptsy scammed, good riddance I say
5211  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Blocksize needs to be increased now. on: January 15, 2016, 03:27:51 PM
I hope we reach the 1MB limit soon I'm sick of all this fear mongering. Nothing will happen other then threw natural selection the micro transactions will be pushed out of the blockchain.

Why not just soft fork it down to 0.5MB to clear up some of this cruft sooner than later? Bitcoin is a value storage and transfer tool of the wealthy elite, poors may use doge and litecoin.

We should never have gone above 0.5mb
The problem with that though is that quite a lot of people are currently depending on it for it's use a a currency or payment method. Not increasing the block size would just be a slap in the face to those people :-/
5212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Paid to gamble on: January 15, 2016, 03:24:37 PM
I've used faucets that are present on the casino that I gamble on and I've made multiple payouts of the profit I made from those faucet requests. It's not completely free though, since you're still spending time on it that could be used in other ways to make even more money.

Yes exactly, your time is basically your deposit, you cant say its just free or such.
The time you spent to earn the money as faucet was your investment or deposit Smiley. But it's better in my opinion than simply watching useless videos on youtube are chatting with friends in facebook, at least with these faucets, we will be able to gamble which may eventually will help us to make more money if we are lucky enough.

Yeah indeed, when you do it in your free time, it's just a cheap form of entertainment that will occasionally earn you some extra money Smiley
In my case, I would be watching Youtube video's or tv-shows instead. So not a complete waste of time in my situation.
5213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your favorite type of gambling? on: January 15, 2016, 03:22:32 PM
in my opinion my best gambling type is hyips if we can call it gambling, to be honest i often invest into them and i sometimes manage to win some small money
I wouldn't say HIYP's are a form of gambling, I would classify them as either scams or maybe (bad) investments, not gambling.
Though I can see why you would classify it as gambling.
5214  Economy / Gambling / Re: Poker Flips = Free Bits on: January 15, 2016, 03:20:30 PM
I can't access it at the moment, or it's just going really slow? You might want to use a free domain service for the time being or just buy a cheap .info domain.
I'd test it tomorrow if you want Wink
5215  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin drops $60 on: January 15, 2016, 03:17:52 PM
It's very hard to predict and belive. I'm guessing it's the cryptsy scam? Though there is no logic that I can figure out and relate how it will affect the market prices but I'm starting to belive it now. Good time to buy them though.

I believe this is the reason as well. I don't mind it at all though. Bitcoin was bound to come down at some point. Bitcoin can't keep on rising without it falling down again. I'm actually glad to see this happen. It gives some of us a chance to buy again.
Just look for 'Mike Hearn' on Twitter and you'll see quite a lot of people sharing his Medium article ( https://medium.com/@octskyward/the-resolution-of-the-bitcoin-experiment-dabb30201f7#.fxetdnlw9 )
Even by people who are not really into Bitcoin, so I think it's pretty obvious that this is the cause of it.
5216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bad Day for Bitcoin. Cryptsy finally admitted theft and Mike Hearn tells truth on: January 15, 2016, 01:52:07 PM
For everyone who holds bitcoin well done I take my hat off to you. But I am afraid the same will happen as when all the other major exchanges were hacked. Its not exactly in the news yet. Probably the big boys are getting rid of their stash until they start with the big announcement. Cryptsy was one of the main exchanges whether you like it or not and they do not even know how they were hacked. Its scary for everyone. I will come back on this thread to tomorrow and I can bet you any money it has gone down at least by 20%.. Hopefully it will recover as people say but it wont be unaffected by such a big exchange going down. Sorry ANOTHER big exchange going down.

Anyway its all speculation but when this has happened time and time again that's just the way it goes.
In terms of volume, what kind of marketshare did they have? I don't personally know that many people who were still using Cryptsy to be completely honest, I really though most people had switched to an exchange with less issues.

Having said that, I never liked Cryptsy, even before the scam accusations. I always thought their UI was crap and using their website wasn't a good experience.
5217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Gambling Sites to use Bitcoins on: January 15, 2016, 01:44:47 PM
The only 2 sites I gamble on are either Crypto-games and Bitcoinvideocasino. Note that they don't really look like your traditional online casino's, but I've always had a lot of fun playing there and am actually in profit on both sites.

Bitcoinvideocasino is great if you're a fan of progressive jackpots, they have one on just about every game they offer and I've personally won one while playing slots, roulette and Keno.

Crypto-games on the other hand has a great interface for playing dice and it allows you to gamble with a lot of altcoins. Every altcoin + Bitcoin also has a faucet which you can use every 3 minutes.

5219  Economy / Economics / Re: Trade house for 1 bitcoin on: January 15, 2016, 01:36:30 PM
I think it's very unlikely that the price will increase to those levels in the next 3 years, not saying that it's completely impossible. Perhaps in the next 5 to 10 years or so, but that would still be very unlikely.
5220  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you still believe in bitcoin on: January 15, 2016, 01:34:21 PM
As someone who's been using Bitcoin since late 2012 - early 2013, I think Bitcoin still has a very bright future ahead. Maybe not so much as a currency for day to day use, but certainly as a good investment.
I mean just look at the 'slow' but steady price increase we've seen the last couple of years.
