5241  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.893 BTC for 180GH/s on: April 14, 2014, 02:06:56 PM
In Stock Again.

Let me guess not profitable at $400, so it's out of stock.  Soon as it's >$450, magically in stock again.

It's a miracle!   Cheesy

I think Ninjatech has S1 in stock

Usually Ninjatech orders directly from Bitmain though.  So, if Bitmain is out of stock, then Ninjatech is too.

When I ordered from Ninja, the label said it's from Shenzen China, not Arizona where Ninjatech is based.
5242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OKCoin announced Bitcoin ATM vending machine .. and price goes bonkers. on: April 14, 2014, 01:43:16 PM
This is the positive news out of China?  A Bitcoin ATM from OKCoin?

Doesn't sound that major...but I guess anything that allows circumvention from the PBOC.

Only question is, if the PBOC don't like these ATMs, can't they just rule it's illegal to have one like they did with bank deposits?

5244  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happends the 15th in china? on: April 14, 2014, 01:17:25 PM
So much for all the FUD spreading, looks like nothing too drastic happening on the 15th it seems.

Looks more like something interesting might be happening over in the far East.

BTC China, fill us in already!   Cool
5245  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: got $1500 to spend, GridSeed? never mined before on: April 14, 2014, 04:44:07 AM
Hi guys
I'm only new to this whole bitcoin world but I'm ready to get into this before it takes off into mainstream society big.
My question is I've got $1500 or a bit more to invest and would like to know if mining or just buying bitcoins and holding them until they go up in value, any help would b great as I belive bitcoins have a big future and I want in on it.
Thanks

That's roughly 4 BTC, just buy it.  It's more BTC than you'd get mining with a $1500 investment.
5246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC China Adding a "NEW" product this Tuesday. What will it be? on: April 14, 2014, 04:33:31 AM
BTCChina has announced that it will be adding a new product on Tuesday.  Speculation is that it might be some sort of Bitcoin ATM.

What do you think it might be?

Wildly Bullish Chinese Speculation!
It's about time....

What's the reverse term for FUD again???   Shocked
5247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Apple Thread - I Admit Defeat. on: April 14, 2014, 04:31:40 AM
With a screen name like yours, it'd seem you'd be a perfect fit for the Samsung Galaxy S5.

Seriously, try it.  It's pretty nice!   Cool
5248  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Cheapest GH/S on: April 11, 2014, 08:12:21 PM
Pbmining looks cheap. Though i have not started using them i dont know if they are legit

Don't do it!  PBmining isn't even proven to have real mining equipment behind it like CEX.IO.  You'll never know when they'll just fold up and leave the industry.  Also, 5 years is longtime to be locked up without a sell option.

FUD or no? Where can I verify this information?

Do they have proof of having actual mining equipment?  First question you should ask with any Cloud mining service.

At least CEX.IO can claim GHASH.IO as it's mining backbone and it's not out of the question.

5 years is also an excessive contract, without an out.

Great catch on this!

So many scammers out there, great to have this community have each other's backs.

5251  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is it still profitable it to mine? on: April 11, 2014, 06:58:34 PM
It is only profitable if you have low or free electrical costs.
5252  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Hey on: April 11, 2014, 06:55:48 PM
Hello I wanna get started on mining and sign up for mining contracts does 200/gh for 24 hours sound like a good deal? I'll only be paying 10 dollars

Nope, not at all.  $10 dollars and you still lose out on roughly $3 dollars.

None of those 24 hour mining contracts are worth it at all.  Better to just buy BTC at the moment.
5253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Breaking News: U.S. Based Group Offers Mt.Gox Acquisition + Revival on: April 11, 2014, 03:38:30 PM
This is what caused the spike up, not the Mt Gox news

Strictly speaking, there was no spike. The rumors from China crashed the exchange rate from $450 to $340. Then the denial came, and BTC rose to $420. Now we have a net loss of $30. I will not call this a spike.

Retracement?  Sorry, I'm not a trader so don't know the technical term for it.

Either way, it's "recovered" from it's $340 price in a matter of hours from the China announcement:

5254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: the CHINA central bank governor Zhou Xiaochuan! CAN'T BAN BTC!!!!! on: April 11, 2014, 02:19:45 PM
It's also on Coindesk:

Better to have China than not at all.  Those price swings are crazy!

Hate that China affects BTC price so much, but I'd rather have them allow it then not at all.
5256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happends the 15th in china? on: April 11, 2014, 02:14:20 PM

Nice, so that's what that spike up was.   Cheesy

Was wondering the cause this whole morning.
5257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Do You WISH you could buy with Bitcoin? on: April 11, 2014, 02:06:06 PM
A pirate ship, treasure chest of Bitcoins, parrot, a bunch of sailor friends, and a one way ticket to whore island.

I'd settle for an easier, debt free life though.   Cheesy
5258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will anyone admit that bitcoin is looking like a sophisticated ponzi scheme? on: April 11, 2014, 01:02:06 PM
Can't be a Ponzi scheme without a Madoff!

Can't wait till august 2014 ... when things will settle and we will be all happy again looking at the bright future!

What happens in August?

$1000 BTC   Roll Eyes

I don't know, but I sure hope so.   Cool
