BTCChina has announced that it will be adding a new product on Tuesday.  Speculation is that it might be some sort of Bitcoin ATM.

What do you think it might be?

I'm wondering if this Bitcoin ATM will work to mitigate the whole PBOC issue.

People can buy BTC and send to the exchange for trading;
Also the initial purchase creates a "bullish" trade on their exchange.
Brilliant solution to getting money in, I wonder if it's a two-way teller machine?

That's what I was thinking. This is an effort (me thinks) to deal with the PBOC concerns.

Yes it's a Bitcoin ATM, there will be a launching party tomorrow.

Cool, where can I find the info/link about the launching party?

On their weibo account maybe. I don't use weibo but some forwarded this message to me:

:4月15日上午10点,比特币中国将在上海举行ATM新品发布会,届时将进行微博直播,发布会后开启全天试用活动。 地点:浦东新区碧波路635号传奇广场3楼 IC咖啡(近2号线张江地铁站),无需门票,现场更有精美礼品等你拿!小伙伴们,周二不见不散~ #比特币发布会# [图片] 赞[

Proprietary ATM's - Seems like a reasonable solution - Can anyone think of any drawbacks?

I like Bobby Lee's style & timing  Cool

Actually, how about fiat withdrawals - wonder if I could also sell BTC for cash at the ATM?
