5245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: On the cover page of The Economist on: November 01, 2015, 03:03:32 PM

To people who are not familiar with this magazine, it's very highly regarded everywhere in Europe. It's British and more than 150 years old. I bet this cover page alone is worth a rise of at least 3% in BTC's price. The article is also available online but you need to register.

Wow, this is good! Bitcoin will have an even better image with that. And with that, an even better price. I hope bitcoin price goes up even more.

5247  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: In-game purchases using bitcoin on: October 31, 2015, 04:51:14 PM
Asking for Bitcoin payment in android purchase is just like asking Google to use Bitcoin.
Because Google owns Android

Exactly. I read in a thread that Microsoft once was accepting bitcoin. Unfortunately, it is temporarily stopped. So maybe, Google can also adopt and accept bitcoin.
5248  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: In-game purchases using bitcoin on: October 31, 2015, 04:39:35 PM
That's how the game developers make there most money through InApp purchases take Candy Crush for example they built an empire with just that game.

I know.

call me old-school controversial stupid, but I prefer to buy game for 4.99USD (or any amount) from store, than get it "for free" and then pay for some gems or other digital goods, which makes the game somehow playable and little bit enjoyable.

Actually this is their way of coping up with their games being pirated. As soon as the installer has been pirated, income stops. But with inapp purchases, as long as there are new levels to unlock, or goals to achieve, gamers will still purchase and income never stops. This is also the reason why it is best for bitcoin if it can be integrated into inapp purchases.
5249  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: October 31, 2015, 04:29:30 PM
I prefer to have both. Bitcoin for investment because bitcoin price is currently going up. And bank accounts for my everyday normal needs. Though I will not keep my money sleeping in the bank because I will loose it in inflation. I just maintain enough money to cover emergency needs.

Ano ba yung halving boss?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1216445.0

Saka na natin tagalugin techy e haha.

Spoil natin yang mangyayari sa Nov 5 sa Nov 4 hehe. Speculation lang yan. Puwedeng mangyari agad bago or after Nov 4. Ayoko manguna baka mapagalitan ako eh. Sad

Ayun oh! Ganon pala yun, salamat dito harizen.

I think manipulators are here to balance the bitcoin market siguro.

Maramihan sila magpump at magdump.

Hehe. Si Boss Ceg nagtip sa akin. Teka kilala mo naman ako di ba? Hehe.

5253  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: In-game purchases using bitcoin on: October 30, 2015, 01:50:27 PM
Even if it is implemented i think that it will not be useful.
Because the merchant needs at lest to have 1 confirmation then release the game credit/powerups to the user.
Even though it can be done instantly without any confirmation but that would be risky.

Oh I see. We do not want to take that risk. We love bitcoin because of security in transactions.
5254  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: In-game purchases using bitcoin on: October 30, 2015, 01:33:31 PM
There is one company that I am aware of that have created a few games that allow you to play against others and gain some bitcoin as a reward, when you download the pro version from their site you can also deposit BTC and use that to gamble on your game.  Play store does not allow a 'gambling' app so it needs to be downloaded from their site in order to play using your BTC the games are pretty cool and addictive.

Yes there are apps that offers rewards in Bitcoin. But what I meant here is apps that let us make our in game purchases (like gems in COC) in BTC.
5255  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: In-game purchases using bitcoin on: October 30, 2015, 01:23:26 PM
I doubt there is, if the app is from the playstore and or appstore, the only option you got there is to use telecom and or creditcard, also paypal.
I've seen an app here that is being develop by a guy named BitTaky (I'm not sure). It's an appstore where you can use bitcoin to purchase an app, I don't know if in-app purchase is also included but I think it is.

But I think that there are few, I know there are android application that can gain bitcoins why does there isn't any game that could buy game necessities it will be great, and it will be a secure transaction for both parties.

You can find plenty of apps that could earn you some coins but the inapp purchasing is based on googles policy and not the application developer. You could look maybe for an app outside google or apple but I doubt there is much as there is really not much of bitcoin applications that requires purchasing.

Then there is nothing we can do. Unless Google change their policy, we have to stick to using paypal or cards in making inapp purchases. The most we could hope is that demand gets high enough that google or apple are forced to adopt in using cryptocurrencies.

I just noticed that when making in-game purchases on Android devices, the only payment method is using telecom or credit card. Is there a way that purchases can be made through Bitcoin?

I think this is a great opportunity to make Bitcoin even more popular. Gamers will be introduced to using Bitcoin as a currency.

What do you think of this? Or is it already being implemented, and I am not just aware of it?

I think there are other games accepting bitcoin as payments but I think just a few in numbers

well introducing bitcoin in games as payment well curious players that doesn't have knowledge about bitcoin will research about it and use it for purchases in that game. Grin

Then I guess it would be up to google or apple if they will recognize Bitcoin and accept it as payments. But if Bitcoin continues its track, it will not be long before they accept bitcoins.

Looking forward sa pagtaas ng bitcoin this coming 1st week ng November for sure, sana magsky rocket to the moon.

5260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase? on: October 27, 2015, 07:20:47 AM
So are you holding your bitcoins for future events such as halving or you more like to spend your bitcoins when you get it? I personally like to spend it for digital goods usually...

I think it is a good investment to hold bitcoins until the price rise. But for me, I spend it as soon as I earn. I still do not have enough money to keep my bitcoins for long term. I am glad others are holding their bitcoins as some kind of investment.
