5241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto Exchange Discussion on: January 20, 2020, 07:31:52 AM
Which the exchange should be choose for listing?
Condition require about Fee listing,Trade fee, good community
Many factors are to be checked for this. About fees for listing asking for exorbitant fees is a no-go for any new project that has just done a startup funding. So they will go with the cheaper options that they can find. This often leads to low volume exchanges and people will cry "When Binance?".

Its more important to look for good track record and company registration if you are going for a CEX. For DEX go with the most popular ones -they dont ask listing fees for Etherdelta since it gets into the network once you launch the token on Ethereum mainnet.

Good support system is also important. This goes for the customer service of that exchange.
5242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tricks and tips for esports betting on: January 19, 2020, 05:29:43 AM
I have to disagree on you, fixing an Esport game is way harder to do than the other games since it will not only need  a single person to fixed the game but the whole team, whole brand of the team including their sponsors.
How can we not think of the possibility that the full team is behind the scenes rigging the match? They just need to play it one round to get their prize from the bookie, so they can have it all planned out. Like a top team losing a specific round in a certain match but they will win the match because the have not fixed the other rounds of that match. Certainly it can be that they are honest and not willing to do such things.

Quote
Fixing a game is not a one man job, this already tells us that Esports scene is authentic and true to its passion.
I know several players who cheated on international stage, Esports is not rigged and they kicked them out.

You may think that I am trying to force my opinion here but is it not true that youtubers and gamers have their complete career based on the companies that sponsor them? They are the mafia here who fix the matches and if you double cross them then their entire career is at risk. I am sure you are getting the point here. Wink
5243  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When trading, never ignore the statoshi value of your coins on: January 19, 2020, 05:22:06 AM
It is wrong to consider both the amount of satoshis and the value in USD when trading. The value in USD is always in flux but USDT is stablecoin. Now if you are losing USD does not necessarily mean your satoshis are going down. So what one needs to consider is the dollar cost average of your satoshis and not the complete USD value. Although you could keep a track of total value in excel spreadsheet.

Satoshis that you is need to keep track of. Besides exchanges allow you to view it in either USD or BTC.
5244  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are we going to have a profitable bounty hunting in 2020? on: January 19, 2020, 05:14:59 AM
Yeah, we hope that this year the bounty will return like it used to pay the hunters properly in the bounty campaign, even though scamer continues to teach, but I'm sure the bounty will be better this year.
Are you serious? Scammers have been in every industry since decades, you have to avoid them or be good with yourself if you get scammed. Bounties wont become profitable one fine year. They were never meant to be an earning method but a side earning or just a prize for promotion. Keep it to that mindset and you will never feel bad about it.

If the market continues to improve, I am sure the project will also develop well and the sales will be sold due to stable market conditions like now.
Market improvement is not equal to new unique ideas coming up. It only increases the price/bitcoin. So they are not related.

Quote
We will look forward to how bitcoin will run, but it will still be part of the bounty which I think is good.
Altcoins which are already set up in the market will rise following bitcoin. Again this does not mean that every shitcoin will be able to cross minimum break even.
5245  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Deribit ID verification? on: January 19, 2020, 05:11:44 AM
If an exchange is moving to a new location then it is a clear sign they did not have a proper partnership with the previous location's authorities and laws. They tend to go for more pro-crypto countries to register their businesses or locations where crypto is still not that important to the authorities. Its more like a cat and mouse chase game and sooner or later they will run out of such countries  Sad

They may decide to tighten KYC procedures. Since deribit has margin trading it is obvious people are going to transact more than 1BTC/day. It the trade-off that authorities force on them in order to track the people who are trading there.
5246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here dream of achieving their financial goal in life through gambling? on: January 18, 2020, 06:06:31 AM
It would be unwise to fix a financial goal through gambling. A game of chance has a luck factor. It is not a daily earning method but a risky one where losing more than what you earn is always possible. One can win a jackpot but the amount of losses they would have to endure before winning it would be giving them a net loss.

This hidden desire to become rich is what destroys people while gambling. You would not be rich by gambling, only the casinos owners and their investors, affiliates will become rich. Those few big winners that you see are one in a million. Chase after that and you are sure to end up nowhere.
5247  Economy / Economics / Re: Thoughts on the World War 3 and its possible impacts on future? on: January 18, 2020, 05:59:11 AM
There will be no such war. People have to take assumptions from what they read in news and then use that to make conclusions and then added are some spicy delusions to make it into a new conspiracy theory or a new news article to post in every social media they can. Talk about mental health being a problem with social media being a big risk factor. Grin

Yeah but things happen with shills and scum being extremist and not using a little bit of logic. A war may seem nice to someone but it is not as it has been evident from what the effect of war has been from history. Those who have been the survivors of war know its effects and that is the reason why we have had so many movies, games only showing how bad war is for humanity.

It is only a method of market manipulation here. Trying to either move the economy from the US-centric markets to other markets. Thats my opinion though. Bitcoin only moved up from 7k to 8k level for the time being. Dont think its related in anyway.
5248  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin Exchange..... on: January 18, 2020, 05:50:55 AM
Sorry, although I'm intrigued by bitcoin and its potential, I'm frustrated because I'm having trouble understanding some of the stuff around it.
Have you tried reading what other users have already said?

In one sentence - there is nothing called "best" exchange. They are several exchanges and you to try a few of them to know which one is suitable enough for your use. Depending on which exchange you use the order placing procedure may be described in their Help documents but often it is very conspicuous even for a newbie.

You could also visit youtube to give you a "visual" impression of how the process is done but be careful with those videos because they are often promote shitcoins and low volume exchanges there because they are paid to promote them.
5249  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitwise decided to withdraw its Bitcoin ETF application on: January 18, 2020, 05:47:18 AM
Were we not out of the ETF craze that came in last year around this time? he bitcoin discussion section was filled with "ETF next" "ETF to moon" threads and then all of a sudden it died out slowly as CBOE and CME backed out. They are now going for options markets. In a way they are looking to cash in this new unregulated market for those who want to risk their money.

But an ETF was far from coming into reality and we all knew that since that time. We would have to have a closely regulated market for that. With OTC deals being very popular and people offshoring crypto to fiat who knows how much even the real marketcap of bitcoin is. Though for any type of ETF the SEC has to comply and they are far from that.
5250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can we overcome our gambling addiction! on: January 17, 2020, 01:22:22 PM
He may realize that, in my case I did, that is why I agreed on going to therapies, I promise to be in the house after my job and be with my wife's side at weekends. It is tough, I cried every night regretting those money wasted in my addiction. Though, I have my wife comforting me, she helped me a lot.
You should think yourself to be small because you cried. You cried because you are human and because you care for your family. It is important to realize what is important your family or your endless desire to make money? Just remember that during our lives the first one is always more important and what makes a human happy even if their total income is small.

With gambling going out of control one should think of their family and decide twice whether they should gamble or save up the money.

Think of how much bad they would feel if you lost money and would not be able to feed them. It takes time but gradually you gain control over your mind and body.
5251  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Shorting Got You REKT? Try Crypto Put Options. on: January 17, 2020, 01:17:54 PM
I am personally not a fan of options market. It may seem like a good alternative to spot trading where mainly making money is buying low and selling high. The comparison here is that you dont buy them directly but you buy a contract.

As put options might seem good in a bear market you also need to know the risk that rise is also possible and you may get liquidated soon if you are going for a leverage trade.

I always feel safe with buying at deep down moment and then hodling it till a target and selling. Why take the risky way where you lose more money by something that is like a gamble than analysis? Options is a gamble, there is very less logic involved even if you have to keep tabs on charts and Resistance/Support levels. Sad
5252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reality of Crypto Winter and what to expect from now on on: January 17, 2020, 01:14:27 PM
And what we see now is a market that has begun to improve day by day, so optimism for everyone will obviously always be there and hope for the best for cryptocurrency this year, but we also need to be more careful in making every step.
Slight changes in bitcoin price actually pulled the altcoins up. Note that this is the effect that every bitcoin pump has. It does not imply any organic growth of the altcoins and they will drop on their own or with bitcoin drop in price. Now the point is that if you are going for altcoin options you can make some money but it is important to not get carried away and move money from bitcoin to altcoins because they are not going to be leading the  market in future.

I do think this pump is temporary, more stronger pump is needed even if gradual to increase the altcoins prices.
5253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Blockchain-based Reddit alternative? on: January 17, 2020, 01:09:40 PM
Is there a Block chain based reddit alternative?
You could try steemit. It is said to be distrupting the reddit ecosystem to this new blockchain based thing, but just like all other altcoin projects out there it could not do anything useful and more or less a shitcoin now.

Moreover there are some signs that steem might be a ponzi scheme and there are premined coins held by the developers. Also you need to promote your own content to get get paid for it. Its like a circlejerk and almost begs you to buy steemdollars to feature your content for more SBD. Not something that I like personally but since you asked, I answered.
5254  Local / Alt Coins (India) / Re: Regional partners for transaction support. on: January 16, 2020, 06:53:31 AM
It is such a pain to actually look for anything meaningful in Alts. They all inevitably end up screwing themselves.
The user has been posting this in many sections of the forum as well as some investors calling thread in "Project Discussion". I doubt anything good will come of this but I am nobody to judge it right away. They are from EU so I dont get why they are posting here.

We can just consider this as another attempted pumping of some small-cap project for getting some more traffic and finances into the pool while not doing anything worthy of getting a good name. Still it may become big in future but is that not what every other altcoin project or new exchange project has done?
5255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UK gamblers cannot use Credit Cards for gambling from April 14, 2020 on: January 16, 2020, 06:48:12 AM
OP seems to hit the point that people have to use their own money to gamble. I agree that lending money from others to pay for gambling is a bad choice but I believe most of them learn their lesson after going through a single debt and probably choose not to even look at a casino again. But then there are the low income people who like a little bit of extra earning and go for the games of chance - but these people would not own a credit card would they?

Again there are casinos which thrive on fiat money. So with this enforcement if it comes into play, we might see a rise in the use of cryptocurrency in/for gambling. Since they are better alternative and censorship resistant.
5256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Any new projects that will go live soon & will have bounty? on: January 16, 2020, 06:42:54 AM
comparing 2017 and 2018 the year 2019 was too worse for the bounty hunters and most of the projects never hit the exchanges even if they raised decently amount in their ICO.So people are still waiting to get rewards from the bounties for more than 6 months.
There are still projects from 2017 which never paid their bounty participants and they are still crying on the telegram channels for their reward. If this does not teach the brain dead hunters then nothing will. There was a time when promoting a project for free produced a sense a pride but it is nothing but some cheap promotion by these hunters which is concerted by the ICO team.

Even new projects that come up will fail to raise any money because the hype is over. Hype was the reason for the pump of 2017 and it is gone even if you dont accept it yet.
5257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: KELTA cloud mining. Payouts in ETH on: January 16, 2020, 06:38:47 AM
Interested in cloud mining and want to build up your passive income based on Ethereum?
Nice lure to trap some innocent noobs.

Quote
Min. investment for basic program to start mining is 1.75Eth with 53% ROI.
What a whooping ROI is it not? Those who are reading this thread would be drooling and that is the problem here. People get blinded by such fake ROIs and they end up sending their coins to the cloud mining service only to never see their coins again.

Quote
Payouts to Kelta wallet every Monday.
And one fine day they stop due to "maintainance" and then the signs of the website ceases to exist.  Cheesy

Quote
Withdraws anytime(check fees).
Nah I dont think so it is "anytime". You scammers are cheeky enough that you pay for some period of time to the old investors with the new investors money and then one day just stop paying anymore.

Quote
Good thing in Kelta is, that you can withdraw your investment
Of course "you" will withdraw all the money from the noobs. Keep dreaming.
5258  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is Bitmex going to start extorting people for their IDs? on: January 16, 2020, 06:32:28 AM
I hardly used the website, actually didn't do even 1 trade, but now they locked me out
These two statements dont match, you know? If you hardly use them why are you even bothered about them? Surely you have something more precious stored there which makes you go back. Roll Eyes

Quote
and say they only allow me back in (and get my money back) if I give a photo of myself and my ID.
What are the odds of you sharing only one side of the story and you have used some tainted source to get the money?

The few cases of where casinos and exchanges end up forcing KYC is when there is suspected money laundering going on. You have only stated that they asked for KYC but you did not state where you got the funds in the account and on top of that you said that you dont even do trade there as if the money there is not important to you still you bothered to post it here. How convenient is that?
5259  Other / Serious discussion / Re: So many Exit scams Now on: January 15, 2020, 02:17:10 PM
So many exit scams its Sign
Of big crypto price drop?
The people who exit scammed are not fools. If they sell the coins exchanges they will be having a track build which can track them later on by law enforcement. Those coins will probably get mixed on tumblers first before being exchanged and subsequently the price dump will happen. But most of them will do a gradual leech and not a huge dump immediately.

Quote
Many Exchangers bull out exit scams
So dont keep your coins on exchange once you complete your trade

Quote
Look like stolen coins Will be sold on 5000 price range  then price Will drop eve  lower!
Market is full of risks. You have to accept it if you want to use it. Cheesy

Surprised to see that this thread has remained unanswered for so long. It is because it was posted in this section and not "Trading Discussion"? Roll Eyes
5260  Economy / Lending / Re: Seeking .025 loan on: January 15, 2020, 09:14:34 AM
I would be willing to put 40,000 points as collateral, which if you look into it, is worth decently more than what .025 is worth.
What is the conversion criteria that you are using here to get this value?

I find this amusing that you cam here to this forum where travel nerds are likely to be very less and still asked for a loan with these points as collateral. They are obviously not fitting the picture of what is considered as valid here and a tradeoff would be risky in case (make that "when") you default the loan.

Would it not be better for you to ask a colleague or friend for a similar loan who might be traveling recently?
