5261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Satoshi wanted the market to grow that much? on: August 22, 2018, 09:22:54 PM
Do you think Satoshi wanted the market to grow that much? So many different companies, ICO's, different opinions etc...

He actually did want a digital currency system with no third party involved and direct peer to peer transaction to take place for which he invented Bitcoin. I am quite sure he wanted people to understand the basic concept of financial freedom through bitcoin and wanted people to develop this system more for which he handed the project to the people.

5263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin must be regulated! on: August 18, 2018, 03:41:16 PM
This is really sad. Your post proves that you have no clue what bitcoin is and why this technology has emerged. If all the problems (those are not actually problems) you mentioned were fixed, then there would be no difference between traditional fiat and crypto currency. People would end up ditching bitcoin and go back to fiat. This would in turn make bitcoin value less. Bitcoin was made to bring financial privacy. You don't need to know who own how much of coins. It is none of your business. And if regulations are placed, then a third party will be involved which in turn will make bitcoin more of a centralized coin.
5264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, between legal and illegal in the world? on: August 18, 2018, 02:46:47 PM
I don't think you are completely right but partially. There are only few selected countries in the world that has accepted bitcoin to be a legal tender/currency. Again there are also only very few selected countires that have directly banned bitcoin and its any form of usage. Those are just some underdeveloped countries that have no clue about the technology. Rest of the world has no clear ruling on bitcoin. Tough some of them does not accept bitcoin as a legal currency this does not mean that they banned the usage of it.
5265  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I stop trading in this bear market? on: August 18, 2018, 06:44:50 AM
During this bearish market, it is actually wise to stop day trading or any kind of short term trading because eventually you will not be able to cope up with the price fall and will end up with huge losses on your back. The best thing to do during bearish trend is to "invest" for long term and maximize your profit. Just chip in some of your investment on bitcoin. Sit back and hold tight while your investment starts to grow along with the recovery of bitcoin price.
5266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They want you to panic :-> on: August 18, 2018, 06:15:54 AM
When the price of a commodity drop with no reason, you should know that it is being manipulated. The reasons for this is quite simple, because a lot of people know this is a fake crash and they are going to make millions, when other people start to panic and start selling their coins at these low prices.

The secret to maximize your profits in this game is to buy coins at the lowest price possible and then again to sell at the highest price possible.

What do you do if people are hoarding their coins and refuse to sell? You simulate a fake crash by stockpiling your coins over a long period and then dumping those coins at once to trigger a small crash. You then buy back these coins at a lower price than what you bought them and wait for the market to recover.

This is what is happening now, because there is NO reason for this sudden drop in the price? Hold onto those coins as long as you can, because these greedy bastards will manipulate the markets to cause chaos and panic.
Price manipulation does take place, but are they actually manipulating the price? You can't always blame them. They bought a whole loads of coin when the price was low. The price started to rise and now they want to cash out their profit. So they end up selling their stock, which in return causes the price to fall due to the dumping of the coin. Now, is it actually their fault that the price dropped or is it just the natural market? And price manipulation does not always causes the price to drop. If you see abnormal price rise, it might be a result of manipulation too.
5267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's stop comparing Bitcoin to Ethereum or any other Cryptos on: August 18, 2018, 05:53:44 AM
I don't think it is relevant to compare Bitcoin to Ethereum or comparing any other cryptos to each other. I know its quiet tempting to compare Bitcoin to Ethereum because of their reputations in terms of their market cap and volume. But I do believe that the source of doubt in most people in the crypto community is mostly because of this comparisons made about cryptocurrencies. People who don't really know and understand the ideas and purpose of the creation of cryptocurrency will just share their ignorance to the world, which is not helping the crypto market. People sell their cryptos just because they heard that a particular coin is better than the coin they have. To add to these, I believe dumping of crypto coins is also as a result of this kinda comparisons made by people.  Please let's find a way to talk about cryptos rather than comparing them to each other...... Huh Huh Huh
True. Crypto currencies can not be compared to each other. Each coin has its own unique feature that other coins do not have. So no way they are comparable, but do have there up and down sides. Coins that are same as other are clone coins which usually are shitcoins that die within few months. But, yeah, you can relatively pair two coins to evaluate the value of a coin and bitcoin is the most common one.
5268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO collects $1.5million in 50 hours? on: August 17, 2018, 07:58:55 PM
That is actually quite impressive to be honest. They probably did a very good job in convincing people to believe in their project and have promoted themselves in quite a good way which actually attracted a good number of investors. Not sure what the project is about, but should be something interesting. Might head over to their ANN thread and see what is it all about.
5269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the mission of crypto? on: August 17, 2018, 07:40:02 PM
The main purpose was actually to bring financial freedom and flexibility among the common people. It was also made to increase ones financial privacy. Crypto currency was made to get rid of centralization (the government) of financial hub and to remove any kind of third party intervention such as the banks, who jump around people to suck off their money as much as they can.
5270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am a newb but I want to invest... any thoughts? on: August 17, 2018, 07:11:11 PM
My best advice is to not invest on anything yet, since you are a newbie. You already did try to invest before and made some huge loss (wont be considered loss as long as you are still holding your coins and have not sold anything yet). This time, instead of rushing into investment, try to learn the market first. Learn from your previous mistakes. Then try investing small amount and experiment the market.
Airdrops, to be honest are just waste of time. You need to be extremely lucky to get some airdrop that ends up being quite successful. Do remember these are just free coins given away, so the value will be extremely small.
5271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: KYC, during or post ICO? on: August 17, 2018, 04:00:03 PM
Doing KYC is just like giving out your information to a random person and also letting the government know that you are holding something and at what amount. The government has become strict and according to the regulations imposed by them, most of the ICOs now will need their investors to fill the KYC forum. If it is a legitimate ICO there is little to no danger at all (unless you get paranoid about giving out your information), but if it is a scam ICO, you better be prepared to face the worst. Those scammy ICO might end up selling your ID and you might become a victim of identity theft.
5272  Economy / Economics / Re: LIFE GOES ON. on: August 17, 2018, 03:56:19 PM
Looking at the present state of the market, it could be very disheartening. But one thing is certain is that blockchain technology has come to change our society. And Crytocurrency which runs on the blockchain will continue to wax stronger and stronger, stay above fear. Life surely goes on with or without the enemies of crypto.
what do you mean by blockchain ?
If you have no clue what blockchain is then it means you are at the wrong place. You don't even know about the core technology that is working behind crypto currency. Learn more from the internet or at least the basic and come back to this forum. Or else, you will remain clueless and will end up spamming the forum unintentionally. Use the internet. Best source to gather knowledge.
5273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Really! Where is the fun at? on: August 17, 2018, 03:53:39 PM
You are partially and somewhat right. Most of the people in online gambling are there for profit, not for fun. Now those who say they gamble for fun are the ones that uses either uses free coins or just limits their gambling so that they don't end up regretting due to loss. Again some gets the euphoria when they win and this is how they define their enjoying.
5274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shopping using crypto? on: August 17, 2018, 03:50:19 PM
You sound like someone who got paid and is advertising for zeex. I might be wrong though and fix your title too. Anyways, if it is just about gift cards then, there are actually tons of sites that are selling gift cards for crypto currencies. Also looks like they are providing prepaid debit card for shopping online which is also not something "unique". The only way their post-ico will survive is to give better service than the existing ones.
5275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the most popular mistakes in Altcoin trading? on: August 16, 2018, 08:07:32 PM
Another mistake people do is buying altcoins  when they see the price of bitcoin rising. They hope that the price of altcoin will also go up, but actually the total opposite thing happens. We see the price of altcoin actually falling when the price of bitcoin starts to rise. This is because people starts to "dump" their altcoin and rush into investing on bitcoin which causes the price of altcoin to drop and the price of bitcoin to rise.
5276  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trading and heavy manipulation on: August 16, 2018, 08:02:45 PM
Day trading is something that requires skill and patience. The massive price dump that takes place unexpectedly isn't actually price manipulation. It is just some whales deciding to cash out their profit at that moment. You are not making any profit because there is something wrong you are doing. Since your profit and loss always ends up being equal, you are probably not exiting during the right time.
5277  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is this excellent strategy to trade on: August 16, 2018, 07:57:43 PM
This is not a strategy. This is called scamming innocent people (not everyone is innocent though. Some of them know what is going on and tries to take advantage of other people joining) by luring them to lose all their money. There are already many pump and dump groups that do this. Only people who joins in early gets the profit and people that come afterwards are the one that suffer massive loss.
5278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing decision on: August 16, 2018, 01:53:15 PM
Is current time good for buy more coin?
Normally, I will buy more when the price of coin is dropped. But with this situation of the market, I doubt the effectiveness of buying decision. Please give me an advise!
Don't just go for random coins. Go for coins that are well establish and has huge trade volume everyday. Look for coins with active community. These are the coins that won't let you down. Eventually holding those coins for a long term will give you a huge profit. And try to take full advantage of the market when the price starts to fall!
5279  Economy / Economics / Re: Why lot of countries do not allow to use Crpto? on: August 16, 2018, 01:22:28 PM
There are few countries that have banned the usage of bitcoin. The list is actually very short and those countries are actually very under developed and filled with corruptions. I guess you got misunderstood the sentence "not a legal currency" and took it for being banned. Most countries do not recognize bitcoin as a legal tender or currency. This does not mean that they called out bitcoin as illegal and banned its usage. You can still use it as you like.
5280  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN is useless!? on: August 15, 2018, 11:14:09 PM
Bitcoin hedead to zero?
The former ceo of paypal Bill harris said that, bitcoin's value will continue to dwindle until it gets "eventually a whole lot closer to zero."and saying that there's just no value in bitcoin and "Bitcoin makes no revenue, no profitability."
he also called the cryptocurrency is a
"colossal pump-and-dump scheme, the likes of which the world has never seen."
I think this is non-sense, what about you?

Source: cnbc

Makes sense if you think of it in different way but won't actually be happening. The price is determined by people in the market. As long as there is a trade volume taking place, there will be a value of the coin. Now if people buy/sell for less, the price will indeed be less. But look at the supply and market cap of the coin. High volume of trade and low cap will cause the price to eventually rise. As long as no huge flaw is found which can not be  solved, there will be a high value of the coin assuming people are still trading the coin.
