5261  Economy / Economics / Re: Die today, Die tommorrow, the same dying! still get vaccinated! on: July 13, 2021, 11:16:41 PM
Business will always be business. It will not stop making returns since it also start with huge capital particularly for the vaccines that should be acquired by the government. The government should be the one to pay for it and it should be distributed freely to its citizens.

Vaccines does not guarantee that you won't be covid free for the rest of your life. There are still chances that you will be covid 19 positive but you will only experience mild symptoms unlike those who never got vaccinated and this virus will always be a big threat for their health.
This is true, I know that many people do not like the fact that so much money is being paid to the pharmaceutical industry but think about it without them and the vaccines that were created we will be in an even worse shape than what we are now, so if they are going to make a fortune in the process it was inevitable as the vaccines are probably right now the most sought item around the world and this always means profits for the one that can supply such product.
People cant really just accept the fact that everything on this world isnt free and creating vaccine does really have expense. We dont know if those are just really good for business or really mindful on getting rid with the virus but so far its really helping out people but nothing is assured in terms of 100% efficacy so we should be still careful.

Its still up to someone to decide whether they do like to take a shot or would just simply on hold because they are still hesitating because of the possible side effects that could happen.

We do have different minds and opinions about on things on this world and lets just accept about that business thing because it would be always existing no matter what.
There is nothing wrong in paying a fair price for the vaccine and its development, as you said everything has a cost. The issue here in my country is that middlemen between the government and the vaccines' sellers were receiving bribery to finish the deal in order to supply the country with the vaccines. It's all under investigation yet, but it was said these middlemen were charging 1 dollar per shot.
That is a lot of money, but it isn't a surprise for me, because it was already known something like this would happen, since the government allied themselves with lots of thieves of political world to guarantee support at the legislative house.

Furthermore, we never know if the vaccines are really legit since we are being ruled by thieves. Someone who charges 1 dollar in bribery per shot can also vaccinate people with water and say it's vaccine.
5262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I rather stay hungry than sell my Bitcoin on: July 13, 2021, 09:12:28 PM
To stay hungry might be a bit exaggerated nowadays, but of course we have to buy cheaper food or eat less in order to save money, otherwise our monthly income isn't enough to pay for daily expenses and still save a little bit. Each one's reality is different and each individual should act accordingly to it without worrying about how others will judge them.
Depending on where you live, not exaggerated. While I absolutely cannot, and will not recommend going hungry for any speculative investment, it almost certainly does happen. Money isn't everything after all, and what's the point of putting yourself in danger or worse, putting yourself, and your family at danger just because there's a chance you could profit exponentially in the future.
The point is to improve life conditions on long run. For me what doesn't make sense is to earn, let's say, a minimum wage and spend everything during the month. What are the perspectives of a life like this for a poor/average individual, knowing he is going to end his life in the same financial condition he is right now? That is depressing and mediocre.
At least by eating little today it can guarantee abundant meals futurely. It's a hard decision and I would like it wasn't the reality, but we have to do the possible with the disponible tools we have.

Before I said to stay hungry is exaggerated because there are governmental and private programs to help people in such conditions. They distribute food, clothes and money for those in need. Also, food production nowadays is totally mechanized and added to transgenic technology proportionates large harvests with low effort and crops' diseases.
5263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I rather stay hungry than sell my Bitcoin on: July 13, 2021, 07:39:17 PM
I agree with OP. Not everyone have a fixed income, job offers around or a job that allow themselves to spend their btc portfolio, knowing they can replace it next month. Some people have only one chance and must take this opportunity seriously, resigning confort and pleasure on short run to try achieving it on long run in a sustainable way.

5264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why some are still loosing money in crypto on: July 13, 2021, 04:58:12 PM
if you have been in 2017 you experience ups and downs of the market, lots of gains but lots of losses in some, but even though you have been through those times, still you haven't learn to correct those mistakes, I think there are lots of things that changes your view regarding the market and this are the following:
  • You follow a persons advice through his social account post example is Elon musk
  • You still believe that a certain coin will come back from the dead even though you already knew its a scam
  • you just follow your instinct and never make single research
  • emotions still control you to decided
mostly I see people who are successful in crypto have spent lots of time, before they reach where they are, yes there are things that are associated with luck but don't just depend on it.
I would add a point:

  • You believe bitcoin is going to be overcame by a random altcoin because a digital influencer who referred you to a telegram group promised it is going to happen

That is a reason why some investors are losing money. They avoid bitcoin because they think it takes too long to return profit over their investment and prefer to put their funds into an altcoin which promoters say it's going to be return by 1000% monthly, surpassing any profit bitcoin could guarantee them. They risk everything for a short run profit, because the long run is too much to wait for.
And actually these altcoins' clever developers and promoters are taking the investments from these people and buying bitcoin for themselves. Cheesy
5265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: German Faketoshi is now arrested for his fraud on: July 13, 2021, 04:36:31 PM
He claimed to be a Co-Founder of Bitcoin, holding around 250,000 Bitcoin but never delievered a proof.
How many people in this world claim to be Satoshi but none of them can prove it, I am sad that many people believe his statement when they find out that he is a fake satoshi. Fortunately, anyone claiming to be a satoshi would be in trouble with the law for not being able to prove his identity as a real satoshi.
If you have noticed, all of them have a hidden agenda, they run something a business or any illegal activities.  How many of them claiming to be Satoshi, but none of them can prove that they are the real Satoshi but instead, they introduce and run their own projects.  How poor Satoshi always has been used people like this, they deserve that they got in jail and I hope those early people who claim Satoshi will also be arrested.

Good to see Andreas give a statement that he doesn't know that fraudster, a selfie image seems to be true as well, what's a good edit.
We hope that there are too many of them will get arrested, they molded a bad image on Bitcoin not only in Satoshi because it used in a Ponzi scheme or a giveaway scam.
These people pretend to be Satoshi because they know others around will get interested on them for this reason, what will give their schemes some credibility and attract greedy investors, since they will think the faketoshi is a wealthy profitable man. Similar situation happens regards Elon Musk: investors idolize him because he has a lot of money and people imagine they can also get some profit by following the guy.
5266  Economy / Economics / Re: Vietnam Becomes Latest Country to Turn to Crypto on: July 13, 2021, 04:08:41 AM
That is very bad news for decentralized crypto currency enthusiasts. A communist government launching their own crypto project will surely go totally against bitcoin. However I can't say it was a surprise because it was probably inspired by communist government of China, which is more advanced on this field, as recently news stated, and probably will help its communists partners.
It's a good moment for bitcoin adopters in Vietnam become alert and follow news about it closely in order to keep their funds protected and act before the government tries something against them.

Do you think that there is a chance that the government will try to seize the funds? I don't think that is a possibility, at least not in the near term. But dictatorships don't value personal liberty. So in case the Vietnamese government bans the possession of Bitcoin (which they haven't done so far), then it may be better for the users to stay under the radar for a while. In case they need to urgently cash out their coins, then they can travel to some of the neighboring countries to do that. Overall impact on the market will be limited, because of the small size of the Vietnamese market.
We never know what governments are going to do next, but when they reach too close to crypto currency I think we need to start being careful about our money, especially in crisis times like this where the whole world is still suffering the economical consequences of the pandemic and governments are desperate for extra receipt. Some time ago I asked an exchange I'm a customer if the government could seize the funds stored there from users' accounts and they just replied me to not store my bitcoins on the exchange. That means the possibility does exist.

To have a plan B in case of emergency is a good idea, like a triggered migration to a friendly bitcoin country if necessary.
5267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you worry about not being able to convert BTC to fiat in future on: July 12, 2021, 10:10:04 PM
Well, it's a big worry for me because unfortunatelly I can't use bitcoin as currency yet. Without converting it to fiat, bitcoin would have no use for me besides investment for the future. If things were different and many sellers were already accepting bitcoin as payment, the possibility of not being able to convert btc to fiat wouldn't bother me.
I really would like to see that happening, then fiat wouldn't be necessary anymore. But for now it is too much to ask for. At this moment, all we can do is to expect our local governments aren't going to impose a bitcoin ban like some other countries are doing.

5269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling becomes popular on: July 12, 2021, 04:48:06 PM
As of today, it's easy to learn about the basics of cryptocurrency deposits and withdrawals through internet. And these minors can have themselves educate about it by just simply sitting all day round on their computers. The only way to avoid minors signing up is to ask them kyc but many crypto casinos don't do that and will unlikely be.
It is not as if things are that different when it comes to fiat casinos, if their parents gamble then the only thing a kid needs to do is to enter to the account of their parents and gamble that way, also it is not as if you can only gamble online since kids can gamble with their peers as well, this is why we must not rely in a centralized authority to tell us what to do or not do and if we do not want that our kids gamble then we need to teach them why this is a bad idea at their age.
Regards the issue of having underage people gambling I believe parents and families are really the responsible ones for educating and forbidding their children from gambling until they hit the adulthood, that means from that moment on they will answer for their own acts. But while that time doesn't come, parents need to be careful with which sites they let logged in their devices and also how their children are spending the money that is given to them. If the children are spending this money wrongly, just cut their income and there won't be any gambling activity.
5270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Baby Doge? on: July 11, 2021, 09:21:23 PM

This modern dynamic society is sick. People take anyone saying anything seriously if they have big money in their pockets. The guy treats his public like they had mental issues and the sheep cheers joyful. For speculators it's a big opportunity, but for those looking for safe investments to grow their little earnings it's better to stay away.

Investors should keep in mind, especially the small ones, that speculation isn't for anyone. Speculators have a lot of ammo to waste spend, so they can shoot in all directions without aiming on the target and still hit it. For small investors (most people) it's different: they just few or one bullet and have to use it wisely and precisely to hit the target and I guess aiming the *baby doge* isn't a good choice...
5271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You got a pifzer ? Then you can be eligible for lottery in Poland. on: July 11, 2021, 08:41:57 PM
It is sad but this is the way it is, it was impossible to expect that this vaccine was going to be developed for 5 years before it was released to the population, this is why if some people oppose to get the vaccine I do not criticize them as the risks are real, this is why we hear stories of people dropping dead a few minutes after they got the vaccine as the vaccine has a higher risk than usual, but that being said as soon as I get the opportunity to get the vaccine I will get it.

I have not read news of people dropping dead after they got a vaccine do you have an article for this, this is scary if this true, some people react negatively to a particular vaccine but not to the point that they are dropping dead, and if this is true the percentage is very low based on their study, so far the vaccination is a huge success even if the virus is mutating.
There are people who drop dead after few days of the vaccine (of course drop dead is just an expression, people just die) and you can find it easily on google news, but after minutes of the vaccine it's a surprise for me. However I remember before covid became a pandemic, when it was just starting in Wuhan, China, there were lots of videos on social medias showing people literally dropping dead on the streets without apparent reason. By now I don't know if those videos were true, since no one talked about it anymore. Crazy and scaring videos.
5272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What does it take for a game to "hook" people on: July 11, 2021, 07:13:00 PM
High profitability is the major factor that makes me and other gamblers get hooked to specific games. In reality every user have different reason for playing different games and the hope of winning keeps them hooked than those strategies and regular moves.
Then how does high profitability could be spot on? People would normally stick out on gambling sites on where they do hit big and that kind of believe that it is a good site with better chances of winning

but doesnt mind off that it is really just the same and its just coincidence that he had able to win out a particular game on that particular time and doesnt mean that he would repeat the whole process

on the next day.Its a common gambler behavior and it isnt surprising that when they do won on other new place then they would just simply skip out.
I've seen this kind of mentality more often at land based casinos. People were used to play at machines which were giving more prizes in small time periods. So they would wait the currently player go away to play on that machine, even though there were so many others disponible. It's a common belief to think some machines give more prizes at certain hours of the day, but at online gambling there isn't such thing.

Maybe with high profitability he was referring to low house edge games. This way it's more likely you will win against the house.
5273  Economy / Economics / Re: Poor and middle class as a mentality on: July 11, 2021, 05:57:29 PM
Usually that is how things work. Poor people have to worry about their survival, while the richest ones can enjoy their lives without financial worries. The survival isn't easy and often it reaches close to the savagery. People struggling to survive tend to do immoral things and lack values civilized societies estimate for. It's common to see in poor communities the conivency of its residents with the criminals who control the area and their shady deals. These people justify acting like this for their own survival.

On the other hand, there are also the upper classes' people who act in the same immoral ways, because they can't accept the possibility of losing power, status and money, so they cheat the rules. These are the entrepreneurs who get close to governments to acquire advantages, pay bribery and accept any kind of deal if it is going to benefit them. Actually, some of these wealthy men were poor or miserable someday and it's important to notice they didn't have the poor or middle class mentality, since they upgraded their life status, although it was in a wrong way.

So I think it's hard to measure who is good or bad, prejudiced or benefited through poor, middle or rich mentalities. I think it's more accurated to measure it by the honest and dishonest mentalities that don't distinguish any classes and are present in all.
5274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Better than "GOLD" for criminals, BTC is easier to steal; Easier to scam; on: July 11, 2021, 03:16:33 PM
Better than "GOLD" for criminals, BTC is easier to steal; Easier to scam; PPL lock their gold up, keep their mouth shut, gold lasts forever;
It's easier to track criminals who deal with bitcoin too. For thieves it's much better to use paper money since it can't be tracked. That is why we see these guys on the movies making their deals always eqquiped with bags, suitcases full of big chunks of paper money.

Very few, perhaps 1 in 10k people even have a clue about bitcoin vulnerability, IMHO its all a joke, created by the NSA (satoshi) to see how long as a puzzle before their algo's got cracked&hacked; The fact that the joke went viral, but have them at the puzzle-palace all in a hysterical laughter, remember these people don't care about MONEY$$ then can print it to free to infinity, they don't need to make crypto to have wealth, they own the printing-press. The NSA already had the power to create infinite USD fiat;

Lastly, they can pull the plug on BTC anytime they wish, which is why bitcoin is kept around a crippled old "Your Grandfathers Crypo".
Why would NSA create bitcoin? Just for fun, to make a joke or to bet against their workmates who is going to crack it first and when? It doesn't make sense. That is a very simplistic explanation for something very complexly created like bitcoin.
5275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CONMEBOL] Copa America 2021 [Argentina The Champions] on: July 11, 2021, 02:41:03 PM
Congratulations to the winners in field and outside the field, that are the gamblers who took the risks of betting on this unpredictable match against the favorite giant Brazil. Argentina knew all they had to do was to neutralize Neymar to overcome the brazilian team. On the other hand, all Brazil had to do was to neutralize Messi as well, however in the end they weren't able to do it with the same efficiency argentinians did.
Anyway I think Argentina really deserved this victory because they were trying for so long as was Messi, I feel good for them. Furthermore brazilian players and coach didn't want to play this cup since it was announced the games would be held in Brazil, creating a lot of unnecessary fud on the media. Probably they weren't inspired to play.
5276  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Bitcoin be infinite? on: July 10, 2021, 11:54:52 PM
The risk of bitcoin becoming infinite does exist, just like fiat. That is what I understood from the possibility of splitting the decimal houses beyond the 8 digits we currently. So it's a way to make the currency infinite not by literally increasing its amount, but by splitting it into several minor parts. Today 100,000,000 satoshis are equal to 1 bitcoin, but tomorrow it can be 1,000,000,000 satoshis equal to 1 bitcoin or even more satoshis could be needed. Some people might say it's not the same than increasing the supply amount, but it really looks like it is and I think it would affect bitcoin very negatively.
5277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if all the currencies in the movie are Bitcoin? on: July 10, 2021, 09:37:22 PM
Movies seek for audience, so they will introduce any subject that is being commonly discussed by the society at the present moment to grab that public to the movie. Bitcoin popularity is increasing along the years and even more recently after the crash in price and statements from different celebrities and whales about the digital currency. Movies' directors will take this opportunity to turn all this talk talk into money for themselves.
I can't say I'm excited about introduction of bitcoin on movies because movies' industry isn't exciting anymore since at least a decade ago, but I hope it helps bitcoin adoption to increase, as movies have the power of captivating interest from the public for the elements presented on the film.
5278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you get your news about Crypto? on: July 10, 2021, 03:09:35 PM
I don't stick with a specifc site or few sites. I just look general news on the internet from different sources through the google's searching tool. This way it's possible to find the main crypto news from different sites, increasing the range of the search. Twitter is also a good tool to find news regard crypto currency through its hashtags or simple keywords related to crypto universe.
That is a pretty accurated method because more recent news will be displayed first so you don't lose anything.
5279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CONMEBOL] Copa America 2021 Discussion Thread on: July 10, 2021, 02:46:06 AM
As expected we had an exciting game where both teams put a lot of energy on the offensive position trying to leave the cup with a positive impression from the public. Despite Peru loss, I think the team didn't finish too badly. They fought bravely and showed a legit desire to win the game, even knowing Colombia was visibly the favorite since the beginning.
For the next 4 years Peru will have enough time to improve their skills for the next cup, when they can finally come back stronger than before. I see potential on them for it.
5280  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Games that still pay Bitcoin? on: July 10, 2021, 02:05:11 AM
I think all these games went bankrupt. As far as I know only normal faucets where you need to complete a captcha and watch some ads in order to claim some dust of bitcoin or altcoins remain. Actually they don't pay directly to micro wallets anymore as in the old good days. Now they pay you in plain coins inside their own platforms and you have to create one account on each faucet (a big waste of time) to accumulate these coins which have a mutable ratio when exchanging into a real crypto currency. However the ratio is absurdly low and it takes ages to reach minimum cashout amount.

Google adsense killed the industry you mentioned by not allowing their ads to show on these sites and now I think we will have to wait until blockchain games become more popular to see some benefit in play to earn games again.
