5261  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin hitting its steady price? on: February 25, 2020, 10:25:41 PM
is it safe to assume that Bitcoin is probably hitting a capped price(i.e $10k)?

No. Did you see how bitcoin price goes on a wild swing this month alone?

Went went as high as $10,300 then go back down to $9700 then recovered and bounce to 5 digits again.
But look at the current price, so there's no such thing as steady price, because it is only one of the best speculative asset, everything is based on speculation, it might trade sideways on certain levels, but having a steady price? it won't happened.
5262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: February 25, 2020, 09:04:25 PM
Sad news for federer fans because he is injured and runs an operation because of that.
Will not play at the French Open don't know for other Grand Slams such as Wimbledon and US Open where he still wants to add more tittle Grand Slam.
Source :
https://edition.cnn.com/2020/02/20/tennis/roger-federer-knee-injury-french-open-spt-intl/index.html

I don't want to say that he's finished because Federer is one of those players who has a good determination with his career.

He had a run of injuries in the past and was able to defy the odds by winning more grand slams. So this is not new to him, so mentally he can return and resume and chase more tennis accolades. Although age could be a limiting factor for his recovery this time, but I have no doubts that his career is not yet finished.

So it will be a battle for Djokovic and Nadal for the top one this year. Djokovic looks fresher and strong between the two, so for me, Djokovic will continue to end the year as the number one tennis player. Wish Federer for a swift recovery.
5263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Take a look at this and stop fooling to FUD on: February 25, 2020, 08:30:47 PM
The thing is that the market is fairly young, about 10 years old and how many halvings we have? Some of us here have only experience 2016 and it's subsequent bubble in 2017.

And so here we are again, will the market repeats itself? This is the thinking of the majority here, but we still have to wait and see. It might take longer as compare to 2017, but still, we can't really say if it's going to be $30k-$60k. Remember, our lowest low prior to May is $3k.
5264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: February 25, 2020, 08:06:51 PM
Last time I saw Casimero is with the Thailander that uses a dirty trick in fighting on which he have lost but able to get th rematch then won.
You should watch his last fight, that was the big fight of his career and his big win IMO, and that leads to Inoue because of the win.

Zolani Tete v Johnriel Casimero full fight replay | Powerful third-round stoppage!

I thought INOUE's last fight was with The Philippines flash Nonito Donaire?

I am still looking forward and stronger with the PINOY pride boxer Casimero has a big chance to win on this match.
Donaire which is older than Casimero made the fight to last until the last seconds.
This will be a different match as the younger PINOY is faster and stronger.

Yes, Inoue's last fight was with Donaire.

And Casimero is Tete which he destroyed in 3 rounds. That's why this fight is really closer than in the betting odds in paper because Casimero is explosive as compare to Donaire, which we may not admit but Nonito is already past his prime when he fought Donaire.
5265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New projects are now showing up on: February 25, 2020, 07:30:41 PM
Becareful fellas, new projects are now showing up just because of the Bitcoin hype growing around the internet, the FOMO is alive and no one wants to miss out, now new projects are joining the train as well, behold 'its all about money making' ,do not entirely put your trust in new projects, even new bounties are showing up too, I pity you if you don't know how to patiently do some research

Thanks for the reminder, but I think people are getting smarter now. Investors and bounty hunters are really looking at every projects that pop up in the wild making sure that they are not scammy as we don't want to be in the 2017 wherein there's a lot of projects that exit scam with millions of dollars.

But still, this is a good warning from the OP, again, used your common sense before investing your hard earn money on new projects.
5266  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC & Altcoin Update: Market held support, bullish bias intact on: February 25, 2020, 07:00:36 PM
9500 doesn't look like it will hold. Was bullish at time of post but global conditions and price action have changed that

Wow, I thought it's going to hold and that $9500 is that strong, but when I see your comments I quickly glance at the price and indeed it was broken as the price is just hovering $9300.

S&P was hit as well last Friday if I'm not mistaken, so year probably global conditions are affecting every market now. It's a bad sign but I guess we need to be positive that crypto won't hit that hard in the next couple of days.
5267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: February 24, 2020, 10:37:18 PM
There has been some great games last night, I can't believe I missed most of them, looks like they were great fun when you watch the highlights.

Raptors annihilated the Pacers by a score of 127 to 82, we are used to seeing numbers like 127 scored on teams nowadays and even tho for people who have been watching NBA for 10+ years the number of points scored is still weird, getting scored 127 on is not a big thing anymore, however how the hell did pacers stopped at just 82 points, they are not really that bad neither, I mean they are not awesome but they are not this bad, one of the least points a team has scored this season as far as I can remember. Zion played well once again, he will definitely adjust to NBA very well, Lakers vs Celtics game which is always fun, Lakers got a last second win thanks to Lebron. Was a good night all around for all basketball fans.

Wasn't able to watch games in recent days, but reading the news and seeing that blow out win, Raptors is still continuing their winning streak, winning 17 out of their last 18 games.

Pacers really play bad, 12 points in the first quarter? shooting 17%? that's awful. Then finishing 32 in the first half, 2 points less than Toronto scored in the first quarter alone, ouch.
5268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto and fashion on: February 24, 2020, 10:19:12 PM
Nicolas Romero, the creator of Satoshi Studio, is going to actually connect blockchain tech with fashion industry. Currently, he has developed a shoe brand. And that leads to a question: does crypto industry is ready for such inventions?
I know there are already many merchandise with bitcoin or other crypto on hat, t-shirt or something in that stile. But let's be honest: a t-shirt with poorly printed "to the moon" on it is nothing more but a meme, not a real fashion.

I guess Romero, maybe a crypto enthusiast, is just trying to ride the popularity of crypto and be the first one to really bring blockchain closer to fashion. I'm not sure though if it is effective, we have to look at how blockchain will benefit us and the fashion industry.

As far as I understand, maybe just a simple database will fit the need, no need to used blockchain technology at might complicate things, just saying.
5269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't just hold your altcoins for a long time! on: February 24, 2020, 09:44:08 PM
Don't hold some good but random altcoins for a long time. If you still want to hold then don't leave their telegram group or other social accounts, check updates on a regular basis. Because if you just hold and keep it in a wallet for 2 years then who knows after 2 years your coin's value may turn into zero value, because of the swap!

I lost many coins because of swap things! Recently Insolar is swapping their token, I did not know about it, because I have been holding for two years but did not care enough as the price was very low! Today I was checking the Coinmarketap android app and saw Insolar coin increased by 530% but their ticker is XNS when I knew it was INS! So, I joined their telegram and get the updates about the swap! Unfortunately, If I fail to swap on time then all of the value of my holding coins will be zero! So, except Bitcoin, Ethereum, don't trust any coin for just buy and hold for a long time, rather keep updating yourself!

I was also a victim myself, I have altcoins that I hold for a long time but my mistake is that I didn't check the telegram group until its too late. Good thing is that its not that big amount though, probably around 100$.

Lesson learnt for me, currently, I also have small amounts of token that I have been holding for 2 years. But I do keep regular checks now if there are updates or whats not. So that I won't lose them in case there are some changes like swap or something.
5270  Economy / Economics / Re: Using of Blockchain in Election on: February 24, 2020, 09:19:09 PM
I love the idea until I saw this article:

Flaws in the blockchain app some states plan to use in the 2020 election allow bad actors to alter or cancel someone’s vote or expose their private info.

Quote
Security researchers have found key flaws in a mobile voting app that some states plan to use in the 2020 election that can allow hackers to launch both client- and server-side attacks that can easily manipulate or even delete someone’s vote, as well as prevent a reliable audit from taking place after the fact, they said.

A team of researchers at MIT released a security audit of Voatz—a blockchain app that already was used in a limited way for absentee-ballot voting in the 2018 mid-term elections—that they said bolsters the case for why internet voting is a bad idea and voting transparency is the only way to ensure legitimacy.
Hackers Can Seize Control of Ballots Cast Using the Voatz Voting App, Researchers Say

https://threatpost.com/hackers-can-seize-control-of-ballots-cast-using-the-voatz-voting-app-researchers-say/152883/

So as the research says, it could be a bad idea to let people vote using some apps. So they might intercept it before the vote can be written to the blockchain. So for now, there are more questions and cons against it. And we all know that once it is written in the blockchain it can't be change.
5271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder vs. Fury II: The Rematch is On on: February 24, 2020, 08:36:53 PM
What we need to see now is a unification bout between Fury & Joshua. Wilder was outclassed so a trilogy fight between him & Fury is of no interest to me.

Let’s see the fight between the two heavyweight belt holders to unify the division.

Right, make sense for all Brits unification fight, that is if Wilder doesn't exercise his rematch clause.

This could be huge as well but as seeing Fury winning this easily though, he is too technical and him proving that he is no pillow fisted fighter. AJ chin which is weak compare to him and Wilder, so if Fury touches that chin AJ will have nightmares again, flashback of Any Ruiz, Lol.
5272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reason behind ALTCOINS not bouncing Back on: February 23, 2020, 11:37:52 AM
Since last few months almost majority of trader/Investor are seems like hopeless or bored from this dead marked, Expect whales or manipulator. Here are many are at safe side by making some decent moves during a little recovery season, But still a majority of peoples are in extreme loss or average loss. Here is many aspect behind the all scenario. A few are following:

        a) We always expect a big hit and don't trade according plan.
        b) Many strong projects are effected due to shitcoins performance.
        c) Altcoin will still remain dead due to Bitcoin's FOMO
        d) Worst reasoning why Alt market will not be bounce back at the position where it was before all this mess is
Most project dump their whole supply in market on its investors.

I think it's more on (c), altcoin investors are shifting to BTC because there's where the money is.

The project dump though has been exposed already since April of 2018, many of them dump so I don't think projects now are practicing it because the price is already low. Majority as still in the -60% to -90%, so it's a long way to go before we can see an altcoin market bounce.
5273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder vs. Fury II: The Rematch is On on: February 23, 2020, 10:52:08 AM
Somehow I'm a little bit disappointed with the fight, I wanted to see more Smiley
On the weight-in and face-off they seems to be quite equal size, but in the ring Fury was much bigger. I have a feeling, that (again) Wilder was aiming to win by 1 right straight punch. He bet too much on this strategy. That was his mistake. On their first fight, Fury survived 2 knockdown punches, that was not kinda smart to believe in same strategy.

Overall result - as expected, Fury is the kind.

If you would listen to Teddy Atlas, a renowned boxing trainer, he says that Wilder is no boxer and the only thing that always bail him out is his one punch KO, that's why they called him the "Eraser". But this time, it is totally different, he couldn't off-set Fury because (1) Tyson is much heavier than him (2) Tyson can take his punch because of the added weight (3) Wilder got knock down, first time in his career and he didn't know how to react.

So yeah, bring Joshua vs Fury next, all British Heavyweight match.
5274  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it correction time? Market down by 8% on: February 23, 2020, 09:46:45 AM
I guess so because we almost get in the downtrend in 2 weeks, so maybe it is the time to see another high, but to break $10,500 still be difficult.

i don't get why some people refer to the current situation as a "downtrend". it doesn't make any sense. a downtrend is where price keeps going down and losing value, whereas what we have in the market nowadays is going "sideways" which is both up and down between $9200 and $10500. the entire month of February was like this.

I guess they also have their own definition of a " downtrend" which is also wrong. Because a trend is a continuous movement without changing direction, though it may slightly changes its direction at some point, but in the long run it will display an obvious outcome.
IMHO, most of the time people who calls a slight pull back of price a "downtrend" has a very bullish mindset, which easily get upset if Bitcoin decreased its value.

It the bullish trend is not changing then that is a parabolic rise, I believed. But we all know that at least bitcoin is having a 'healthy pullback' at some time before continuing the positive trend.

As you can see in the last days, it seems that the price is inching at $10k again, so we see retracement to $9500-$9600. So we don't need to get upset, what we need is more patience.
5275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can decentralization be applied to protest movements ? on: February 23, 2020, 09:06:29 AM
Just to set the record set, blockchain is not = to bitcoin, Blockchain is the technology behind it.

The first picture to show, someone is carrying a placard with blockchain and cryptocurrencies and then the second image, with cryptocurrency. So it might be some misconception, don't get me wrong here, we have seen similar political unrest in Venezuela and to an extend in Hong Kong, but we haven't seen that adoption that we all have been waiting, just saying.

Best of luck though, and I do hope that Algeria won't be the next Venezuela.
5276  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving Clock on: February 23, 2020, 08:36:38 AM
Lol, BCH halving?  Smiley

Anyways, those bitcoin block halving count down is not that accurate, it's just an approximate I believed.

Others could be off by as much as 3 days, so I guess everyone should take the average of each website to at least get the picture of the date itself.
5277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder vs. Fury II: The Rematch is On on: February 22, 2020, 11:47:00 AM

Do not miss this match live today on ESPN+ or Fox Sports, whichever channel is available in your area.

I love this one, good that it's not on PPV as we still have to pay for it, now we can watch it live in these channels.. I guess I only have Fox sports but I don't have ESPN +, not sure if ESPN and ESPN + is the same, someone enlighten me what's the difference and what ESPN+ caters?

Will it be telecast live on Youtube ? Most people will not have access to these channels or they are not willing to subscribe to them only for this match.
If i am unable to watch it live, i will surely watch the highlights at youtube , but it will be better if someone can share the live streaming you tube link for the match ?

I don't think it will be telecast live on Youtube. And I don't know if we are allow to post some live streaming here in this community because I haven't seen anyone who's willing to give out links.

Usually though, I just wake up early, talk to some of my friends who may have subscribe to cable network stations if they can live stream with me. Otherwise I don't have a choice but to wait for some high lights in Youtube.
5278  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it correction time? Market down by 8% on: February 22, 2020, 11:04:10 AM
The price has settled around $9600 already so I think the retracement has slowed down a bit. Although trading in weekends are kind of slow, but I do think that the market has somewhat reached the lower lows so I'm not expecting another further downside.

Next is very interesting, are we going to get to 5 digits again and then goes on another high around $10500? So let's see how it goes in the last week of February.
5279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunters respect yourself, please! on: February 22, 2020, 10:28:22 AM
I am very frustrated by seeing some bounty project and their rewards! Recently Hydax, Earnbets, Hitmex bounty launched, I saw many people ate doing their signature even some high ranked people too. But their rewards are like 2-3K USD for all category bounties for 4-8-12 weeks bounty! Do you guys read those project's whitepaper especially the Hitmex whitepaper? Please spend some time to research before supporting a campaign. You guys are the reason for low rewards campaigns. If you ignore those, low rewards campaign are coming continuously in this year. Please try to understand the fact and do only good project's bounty that has good allocation/respect for hunters!

Yeah, maybe some of them are reading the whitepaper before joining the campaign, but majority is really out there to get the rewards. And once the token is listed on an exchange, expect a dump pulling the price down. That has been the situation in 2018-2019 and I think it will continue till this year.

I understand your rat, but it is what is it, people here are just for the money, no matter how much it is. Specially if you have been waiting for too long for the token to hit the exchange. Then wanted to immediately dump everything and get their rewards no matter how small it is. Sad but true.
5280  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My top 7 exchanges for trading on: February 22, 2020, 09:31:38 AM
If you really wanted to see a good report about exchanges, specially those exchanges that have been reported to performed wash trading and fake volumes, I suggest everyone to visit this website, https://www.bti.live/exchanges/

I don't want to click the link that the OP gave though, but I'm sure with the link above that I gave, you guys can pretty much cross reference it with the OP top exchanges and see if there is some discrepancy.
