5261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata December 29 on: December 03, 2021, 11:59:12 PM
This fight will have to be postponed because of travel restrictions in Japan:

Quote
"I am deeply disappointed that fight in Japan has been postponed but the health and safety of the public must always be the priority. I look forward to returning to the ring against Ryota as soon as possible," Golovkin stated to his followers.

https://www.boxingscene.com/golovkin-vs-murata-pushed-back-due-travel-restrictions--162461

But the planned is to stage this one on the first quarter so everything is not lost. We just have to wait till everything settles down next year.

For sure, these two are disappointment as well but what can we do, this is the world we live in right now.
5262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lomachenko vs Commey - December 11 on: December 03, 2021, 11:38:20 PM

Well probably Lopez will also need to rest to recover mentally from that humiliating lost as well. It's not just physical, most of the time, as in the case of Lopez, he is confident that he will defeat Kambosos and then a huge lost. So let's see how Loma will dispose RC here, if he goes for a KO then maybe he will call out the new champion and travel to Australia for a big fight there with George Kambosos and get his title back.

Every fighter are deserve to take rest like Lopez and distance for a while to recover from their losses especially if it really affect their health (mental health), he needs to recover or move on from his last fight with Kambosos knowing that this fight was his first defeat record that broke his undefeated title. Talking about the upcoming fight of Loma and Commey I am very certain that Loma was a crowd favorite here and yeah if Loma will dispose RC then Loma will possibly the one who were going to fight with Kambosos.

Well, let's see if he will recover, Loma had a good fight after his defeat against Lopez, and now it's Lopez's turn to redeem himself and he is fighting on a heavier division so that's really interesting. Lopez will become a good challenger for the champions in that division which I believe is better than him.

If Lopez chooses to go to 140 lbs, I think it's a good division for him as there's not much name in that weight class, so let's see his next move.

Going back to this fight, I agree that Loma will be the crowd favorite because of his pleasing style, it's not that boring and a thing of beauty seeing him move inside the ring as he is very technical fighter and sometimes he gets a knock out too which makes him a very exciting to watch.

I also like the idea of him chasing Kambosos and get the belt that he once held after he win against Commey this month.

Josh Taylor and then maybe Tank Davis will also move to that division because he also hold a belt here. So this is also a exciting division and there is more money to be made here.

And I don't think that Loma can go move up to 140 lbs, this is too much for him, it's better if he will stay in 135 lbs and try to clean up that division. Get back all his belt, beat Kambosos in Australia and the other regular champions.
5263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 03, 2021, 08:28:18 PM
What a game for the Bulls last night! I got to it a little bit late not getting back from the gym quite on time for the opening tip, but I was able to watch most of the first though the rest of the game.  Once again the Bulls started off super hot, and got up to a huge lead which they allowed the Knicks to come back in the game and even go up at one point. Thankfully the big 3 ( Lavine, DeRozan, Vuc) kept them in it and lead a comeback for the Win.  34 for DeRozan, and 27 for both Lavine and Vuc was awesome to see.  What maybe best of all to see is how Vuc has been playing of late.  We needed him to step up and start playing like the All-Star he is and he's been doing just that of late.

What's scary is that DeRozan started slow in the first quarter but still finished big. Vuc was also hot in the 1st quarter and he has a good 2 games too under his belt. It looks like the Bulls have found it's rhythm again with this big win against the Knicks.

Seems that smart money now is on the Golden State against the Suns. Let's see if Curry will break out of his slump from their first game and will have his usually 30++ points in this game. I also bet on them -6.5.
5264  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we in 2017 again? How do you feel about the price chart today? on: December 02, 2021, 11:00:05 PM
I read an article from cointelegraph that says we have eerie similarities now with 2017. So basing on that, and if the pattern will be the same, the price could hit $300,000, but that's just a prediction though.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-price-dip-matches-october-2017-with-btc-explosion-still-forecast-before-2022

We really don't know what the future holds, if it holds then good for us holders, as many of us will be happy and probably be self made millionaires. But the lessons here is not to be complacent, we still need to prepare for the worst.
The sad part about this current situation is that we had a huge increase during late 2020 and early 2021, and we did not have that in 2016, which means that maybe 2021 was what we had similar to 2017 and not 2022 or 2021 December at least. I am not saying that we can't see 300k, but the increase from 3k to 20k doesn't require the same amount of money that requires us to go from 55k to 300k neither, that 6x increase requires a lot more capital and I am not sure if we have that anymore.

People need to accept the fact that bitcoin may not increase to 100k+ very soon let alone 300k, if we keep wanting for more and more then it would mean that we are going to be upset when that doesn't happen. Obviously it is going to be fine for all of us right now since we have made insane profit in the last 1 year, but eventually people will get bored again when price doesn't give them this much profit for many months even maybe over a year.

I think the bubble has been burst for the $100k prediction this year because obviously, it won't be meet as far as I'm concern because we are not under time pressure. With that said, investors should not be disappointed after all, we all know that those are just predictions and it's not that accurate. Although at the beginning, people are very excited until last week when there is a news of a new variant of Covid-19 that really affected the whole financial market globally. So for me, I have said my mind that $100k is not achievable this year so I have to financially adjust as well.
5265  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs. Ilunga Makabu on: December 02, 2021, 10:32:57 PM
WBC is giving all the advantage to Canelo, Lol. Makabu vs Mchunu first then they fight each and soften each other for Canelo. And then they will just have 4 months to prepare for Canelo.

And then Canelo can watch how both of them fight and win he see who is the winner, he already has a good strategy in his mind in advance. So I'm seeing Canelo going to win whoever he is going to fight next.

That's expected lol. WBC is Mexico-based and its president, Mauricio Sulaiman is Mexican as well so what can we expect hehe.

Yeah, Canelo always has the luxury of choosing whom to fight and everybody else just wanting to win that Canelo sweepstakes, that would be their very paycheck once Canelo chooses them.

But I like the chance of Makabu here once he disposes of Mchunu because of his size advantage. He may not have that lateral movement but at least he has the puncher's chance.

True, Sulaiman loves Canelo and being Mexican and holding a WBC belt, Canelo has his perks and can choose whoever he fights under this organisation.

And since Canelo is the cash cow now, every boxer is after him, like Makabu and Mchunu who will fight first, sort of eliminator but the funny thing is that they belt is on the line. Anyway, I hope Makabu wins so he will get his biggest paycheck and give Canelo a good fight at cruiserweight.
5266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 02, 2021, 10:07:39 PM
I am sure that GSW will try their best to get a revenge for sure. However, does it even matter all that much? GSW is the team that knows very well that what you do in regular season doesn't matter by the end of the season. If you do not win the very last game of the season then you are not doing anything. They broke the 72 game regular season record and got 73 wins, but they lost at the end and they lost 3-1 as well so it was definitely one of the worst situations ever for them.

So even if they lose to Suns, even if they become like 5th seed, none of that matters at all as long as they do win the championship, but if they do amazing at regular season, become like 75 win team by the end, and then end up losing the championship then none of that means anything, in fact it would be humiliating more than a success. Hence I do not think that they care about it all that much.

I think it's better to get their revenge win in my opinion. This is players are very competitive and they want to get at you no matter what, the GOAT himself Michael Jordan takes everything personal, when they lost, his surely get back when he has a chance. And they need to go at least at higher seed to gain homecourt advantage in case of playoff berth. Lots of games that are close tonight, hard to decide and bet.
5267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 02, 2021, 03:55:22 PM
What do you think of Suns vs Detroit tomorrow game?

I wanted to put a good amount of money on Suns, although they will be without Booker, but they are going to face a lowly but dangerous Detroit.

The line is open -12.5 Suns, you do guys think they can cover this one or this is a trap since Booker is out?

Tough to decide, basing from the past games of Detroit they are capable of covering double digit handicap.

But int the other hand, Suns is also capable of winning with a huge margin with or without Booker. CP3 and the rest of the team
can match up what Piston have, A very balance team with all the players are contributing well when they come out from the bench.

Good Luck!

I will take the Suns all day, I trust them so much to cover a high spread especially against a team who are struggling this season. On the other hand, they might also not play hard because they have a game next day and that is a gainst the Warriors that they beat few days back.

Yeah, this is a close one, Detroit is struggling, but they always give one hell of a game. They just can't sustain it the full 4 quarters that's why they've lost a lot of game wherein it was a blowout. On the other hand, Suns is on a winning streak but without Booker who is average 23 ppg, it's hard for them to cover that. So maybe the handicap can't be covered as well and not expecting a double digit win for them against the Pistons.
5268  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs. Ilunga Makabu on: December 01, 2021, 11:43:44 PM
There has been a change of plans in this fight,

Canelo won't go directly to Makabu, but he has to wait for the winner of Makabu vs Mchunu. This is a rematch fight and Mchunu doesn't want to step aside and this is going to be scheduled next year January 29.

Quote
World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman indicates that Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez will face the winner of the upcoming rematch between WBC cruiserweight champion Ilunga Makabu and mandatory challenger Thabiso Mchunu.

It was believed that Canelo would fight Makabu for the cruiserweight belt on Cinco De Mayo weekend in May.

But, Mchunu would not step aside from his mandatory shot - so he will fight Makabu on January 29th at the Packard Music Hall in Warren, Ohio.

Promoter Don King, who will stage the Makabu-Mchunu event, expects Canelo to be ringside for the fight.

5269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 30, 2021, 05:50:24 AM
Yeah, it seems it was an easy call for the Warriors to really win that game against the Clippers, as I have said they are tearing everyone with double digits so I also go with -3.5 on this game for more juicy odds.

Miami Heat vs Denver Nuggets - I'll go with the Heat -6.5, they are in a winning streak an Denver is still struggling right now.

Unfortunately, it looks like Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro and not going to play for the Heat and the Nuggets have built a lead as high as 15 points already.

So I have put the Nuggets -2.5 live betting as they are playing differently in tonight game while Bam and Duncan Robinson are missing good looks and has a horrendous shooting night in their home court.

Nice catch you've got there mate, It was a completely different game from what anyone could've anticipated, I even didn't expect Jokic to play, and that's a massive boost for Nuggets despite having quite a number unimpressive games recently.

Nuggets already have a 17 points lead with just 3 minutes plus left to play.

Yep, another mistake on my side, didn't check that Butler is not going to play tonight so I've already lost my bet on the second quarter alone when Nuggets and Jokic are hot and shooting 66% in the floor as what I heard from the game announcer. Anyhow, this is just one game and good catch on this one, live betting with that great handicap bet you have.
5270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think crypto prices will collapse further tomorrow? on: November 30, 2021, 05:24:27 AM
We can't say for sure. Bitcoin is still in a healthy position. The coins in My portfolio have been on the rise generally, except for a few that have been down momentarily. So, except something crazy happens, I don't see a downward trend

Bitcoin is different though, it's been healthy throughout the year with some minor dips along the way.

As far as altcoins goes, it's really hard to see maybe except those top 10 coins because they are solid in the first place. But for those who is below, it's going to be very difficult to survived because it seems that that market has been saturated already with thousands of coins around to choose for investors.
5271  Economy / Speculation / Re: will we witness year end bullrun or bull trap? on: November 29, 2021, 11:29:46 PM
There was too little reason to think 100k beyond momentum continuing endlessly even then the trajectory for gaining so much in this little time didnt match up.   If price went exponential then sure any price can occur but I dont want price to act unstably even if it was straight up, I know it'll return down the same path.   A steady rise over years will be the ideal, it might even exceed 100k if forming support every 10k of gain.
Right now the price action is challenging the weekly average, its gained 4k in a few hours impressive and keeping the recent low is bullish; it could end the year well but I still estimate it keeps in this region to further revise prices with volume in time forming support for a proper move to higher prices.

I prefer a slow growth and a healthy one than to see the price of the market to rise and then after whales taking profit, we go back to a more cheaper market and this has been happening since then. Hoping not for a bull trap this year, many will surely lose money because of this. Let’s end this year on a better market, don’t spread FUD.

Of course, a slow growth is want we wanted, organic and not artificial. Because it is the price is being pump by some manipulators, then expect it to be dump as well once this crypto whales play around with our emotions again.

As far as FUD goes, it is part of the market, we all know that. It's really on our side to whether to listen to it or not and be affected.
5272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 29, 2021, 10:58:33 PM
But he blend well with the Wizards last year with Bradley Beal and lead them to their first playoff in years.

But I do agree that Westbrook games suffered a lot when he moves in Lakers this year. I'm not sure what is the reason, maybe he is no longer in his prime because he is missing a lot of shots and usually when he drives to the basket, it's automatic 2. But now he is being strip before he can take off, or missed badly. Maybe his vertical leap is no longer there, but it seems a different Russ now.
5273  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is recovering on: November 29, 2021, 10:22:55 PM
Bitcoin has made good progress today compared to last three days today Bitcoin almost touched $60k ($59,390) as a result we have seen decent progress in other altcoins as well. Either this is a breakout point wherein bitcoin will proceed towards new ATH or a bull trap but I don't think it would be a bull trap as market just went through correction phase. What's your opinion on bitcoin at the moment?
What is certain is that bitcoin is undergoing a correction, but today it is in a recovery phase, progress from the correction to recovery will take place at the beginning of this month, but for this time it is difficult for us to analyze bitcoin further, whether this is a bull trap or an upward phase a much higher price, but still many people are optimistic that bitcoin will hit the target as many observers predicted, either at the end of the year or early next year, let's see what will happen?

If we notice today's market then we could say bitcoin is definitely at the stage of progress post correction. I think bitcoin will cruise towards $70k by the first two weeks of December and then we might see one more temporary dump or extended bearish period mostly the end of the year is gloomy for bitcoin, but I feel this year it would be different and investors would buy more at dip and we can take MicroStrategy as an example who has accumulated a total of 7008 bitcoin since October.

Yeah, good to see that at least during the stage of this week, we have seen bitcoin going to more than $58k, this is a good sign that we are on some recovery phase and hopefully this is not a bull trap and this is for real and will attempt to break the next big barrier of $60k within the week.

If this is not a bull trap then I expect that we will be on another bullish run this December. Similar to past years run wherein December was really super bullish and we've seen the price grows up massively.

Game: Warriors vs Clippers... going with the Warriors -2.5 on the road.

I'll tail you in this one, I think Warriors are too hot right now and I don't think the Clippers has enough manpower to stop them, specially Steph Curry and Andrew Wiggins and the Warriors are winning are an average of double digits lead. So I expect this to be a tough game but it could be another blow out win for the Warriors again.

I can't pass on this as well, the Warriors are doing just too great to be ignored, and Clippers are coping the best way they can too but It won't be enough to handle GSW imo.

I'm also taking the Bucks -2.5 vs Indiana Pacers

Congratulations to everyone!

Most of us won our respective bets, and I also finished 2/2 yesterday, both the Milwaukee Bucks and Warriors won the respective games easily. The Warriors have really been unstoppable this season, and the match up I've been so much looking forward would be Warriors vs Phoenix Suns, and that's only a couple of days away.

Great win @bisdak40 mate,  Grin

I'm on the Lopez bandwagon but I guess it's over now.

Gonna locked the thread now, there are a lot of options for Lopez still but let's see if he is going to move up and fight Taylor or still campaign in 135 lbs and fight the other champions.
5276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: unpopular: Tether (USDT) is somehow shady, and might crash all crypto. on: November 28, 2021, 10:47:39 PM
Thank again for the reminder, but yeah, Tether has been shady as hell from day one and if I'm not mistaken they have lawsuit and cases being filed by them by SEC because they don't want to be audited. And then they admit that they run on fractional reserves, similar to what bank does and it has the ability to crash the market if billions of Tether are liquidated.
5277  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin resistance and support price on: November 28, 2021, 09:58:14 PM
There is no support at $50K, it’s just a nice psychological number and most likely won’t mean much. It’ll either find support right above or right below.

We got some support at $53k which looks like it might hit in a few hours and more at $48K area. Both were previously resistance areas. Currently Bitcoin looks very weak and I think it will break the $53K because bounces are very weak.

Yup, judging from this week and last, that support's firmly at 53k, not even at 55k as the next natural psychological number would be. The bounces have been weak yes, but also not as sharp (which suggests to me there's really people patiently waiting for larger dips to shovel in all their buys).

But we just had another spike though again this weekend to $56k and counting up. So maybe this is a good bounce or weak one. But it's the start of the asian market right now so I'm expecting that the price will not go down to $53k-$54k.

Haven't really taken a look at orderbooks lately but I suspect everyone on both sides are hiding their cards til the November funk's over.

Probably in the middle ground again, both sides (sellers and buyers) are waiting for any move from each other. But the month is almost over now, hopefully December will be a different one and it will remain bullish.
5278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: November 28, 2021, 09:14:56 PM
^^ Recently, we have huge upset when Kambosos knock down Teo Lopez and then won on decision. I do hope that Casimero won't suffer the same fate though, just saying. We all know that Casimero has all the advantage here specially in power department but he shouldn't be overconfident in this fight as he needs to win his mandatory and move on next year with a big unification with Inoue.

It's possible that Butler may have a punchers chance against Casimero. But I think Casimero is well aware of it and with his experience, for sure he will avoid an upset here at any cost. However, if there is then we can't do anything about it, that's part of boxing, anything can happen. The best thing is that he train as hard as he does and don't look at Butler as just like a mandatory fighter.
5279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 28, 2021, 08:51:38 PM
^^ I agree, the most consistent player right now is AD in Lakers. While the rest is very inconsistent and then the turnovers are killing the Lakers chances of winning a ballgame. If they can manage to reduce their turnovers per game, for sure they will have a good chance to win those close game they have. Lebron James will always be the Lakers main guy and he will always take the last shot.
