Meh, generally speaking I support these kind of newbie-restricting rules. But now I'm in a bit of a hurry to be able to post in a groupbuy thread in this forum and am slightly irritated, but I'll get over it :p.

Try this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=15911.0

Thank you! I understand I need to type deeper and work on my grammar. I also read that link all the way through. I will make sure to help people and to know more about the rules as I go along. Am I doing right?

You just need at least 4 hours logged in to post in other sections, you find the time top left on the page.

And welcome. Smiley

Right; however, the problem with Christ's life is that is perfectly matches the life of mythological figures before him in other religions, with a spread far greater than any being could live.  As I said, his life is an allegory of the winter solstice, and did not originate in Christianity.

If there existed a man named Jesus Christ who was not the Jesus Christ pictured in the Bible, then who do we believe in, an ordinary man we know nothing about, or an allegory?

Well, it doesn't perfectly matches, if you got that information from the Zeitgeist, sorry, but it's bad info.

I don't think that came from the sheep herders in middle east, if you're referring to why Christmas is on 25th December, for example, that and many other Christian traditions came from local European, myths, traditions, celebrations or religions, it was in the "christianization" of the Roman Empire that they had to co-opt the local traditions and insert something christian in them. You can't find a verse in the Bible that says Jesus was born on 25th December.

EDIT: Here's a Bart Ehrman playlist with lectures, debates and interviews, enjoy. Smiley

Are there easy ways to make money?
5288  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Does Anyone Else Believe In Jesus Christ ? on: October 29, 2013, 12:25:58 AM
Jesus may have existed, but it's likely he wasn't called Jesus until later, nor did he perform magic.

Anyway, the fact that Jesus's life revolves around an allegory of winter solstice makes it hard to take it seriously; even if Jesus existed, if he's not the man we know him to be, did he actually exist?

Example: I tell you about this guy who can leap over the tallest buildings, stop speeding bullets, shoot laser beams from his eyes.  So you meet this guy, as I have described, except he cannot do anything I said he could do.  Is it still the same fellow?--he doesn't match the description in the least, but it's supposedly him.

I see where you're going.

A few things about Kim Jong Il:

He had a supernatural birth.

According to North Korean historical literature, Kim Jong Il was born in a log cabin inside a secret base on Korea’s most sacred mountain, Mt. Paekdu. At the moment of his birth, a bright star lit up the sky, the seasons spontaneously changed from winter to spring, and rainbows appeared.

He is a fashion trendsetter

According to North Korea’s newspaper Rodong Sinmun, Kim Jong Il’s iconic style has become a global phenomenon.

The world loves him

According to state-run media, Kimg Jong Il is the most prominent statesman in the present world, and people in countries the whole planet over celebrate his birthday with films and festivals.

He invented the hamburger

He is the best natural golfer in history

In 1994, it was reported by Pyongyang media outlets that Kim Jong Il shot 38 under par on a regulation 18-hole golf course – including 5 holes in one! That score is 25 shots better than the best round in history, and is made even more amazing by the fact that it was his first time playing the sport.

Well, we can separate fact from fiction.

@interlagos

Here: http://evolution.berkeley.edu/

And our external influence is the Sun.

I can give you an answer on what I believe but it doesn't match the polling options you put out, we already know that humanity evolved from apes because of scientific evidence but there's a theory out there I find very interesting where scientists think that we are actually evolved from a foreign organism in an asteroid crashing into Earth, this would also go to some way explaining why after all this time we haven't had other species on this planet evolving into sentient life and developing the same brains and thought process we have.

It's the Panspermia Hypothesis.

And there were other "sentient" life similar to humans, probably a lot, like the Neanderthal, but we were the ones who survive.

Does God could have created human through evolution?

If you believe evolution is a logical, natural process of certain genetic mutations flourishing due to their suitability in a given environment, why would you need a god to guide it?

i.e. Satoshi wrote a bunch a mathematical rules and laws that happen to "evolve" just as it is supposed to be (for now on).
So why not a God could not have created a bunch of mathematical rules and laws that make things evolve over time just as it is supposed to be.

You're entering in the deistic perspective here, the problem is this hypothesis makes more questions than gives answers, where did this God came from? Is it conscious? Did it evolve? Is it alone? Are there more like it? Questions that we can't even think how to begin testing...

That's my problem with evolution.  Chaos doesn't lead to order in the absence of intelligence.  Ape to man can be probably be explained, but the question is how non-life would give rise to life.

God of the Gaps Fallacy.

This is pointless since Bitfunder is going down the drain anyway.

If that happens we will still own the securities and then it will be the issuers job list them in another exchange or pass dividends in some other way.

Jesus Christ never existed.  http://www.jesusneverexisted.com/

Actually Christianity is all fake, all the books have been edited by the Vatican. According to the story there were other followers of Jesus who were female. Vatican took all of them out of the bible.

Genesis is total rubbish, according to the bible. The world was created a few thousands years ago. We all know that is not true.

If Adam and Eve really existed, they should be black and not white. As we all know that all root of human came from Africa.

Sorry, that's bullshit!

The Jesus never existed part, I mean...

There are lots of scripture prior to the existence of Vatican, well, not "lots", but there are enough.

You can search a guy called Bart Ehrman, he is a Bible schooler, and he throws away many myths around Jesus, even the "Jesus never existed" myth.

Oracle
Our systems are being developed using Oracle Database 12c Enterprise Edition, I believe we are the first company in Cyprus to utilize this new product. Oracle provide solutions for the largest organizations in the world. Our development team are now official Oracle partners.
Oracle will provide us with some great exposure on an international scale, they will be promoting the fact that Neo & Bee are powered by Oracle, this includes articles in their publications and a success story being published surrounding Neo & Bee.

Oracle? Really? Why would you waste shareholder money on overpriced crap?  Because it has "Enterprise" in the name?

Marketing and promotion.

Marketing of what?  Their own cluelessness? Why not just download PostgreSQL and spend $47k on advertising? Caixa Econômica Federal is the second largest bank in Brazil and uses Postgres.

If I were a shareholder I'd be pretty pissed about them throwing money away like this.   I'd much rather my my investment money go towards building the actual company, not buying more fighter jets and Hawaiian islands for Larry Ellison.

You aren't even a shareholder? What are you doing here then?

...back on topic...

“The American public should be outraged that the U.S. Army is teaching our troops that evangelical Christians and tea party members are enemies of America and that they can be punished for supporting or participating in those groups,” Mr. Berry said, in Fox News. “These statements about evangelicals being domestic enemies are a serious charge.”

So are they enemies of America?

Well, they are enemies of reason... Cheesy
Who is enemy of whose reason?

I submit that for every flaw in reason you may see in their group(s) I can find one in yours.

Let's start with the recent attempt by the Admin to display its 'reason'.

ATTACK SYRIA NOW!!!

I mean evangelical Christians are enemies of reason.

I Have A Bit Of A Gambling Problem

Sometimes I win, and sometimes I lose, but recently I hit a bad run, and I went and gambled away $200 that I cannot afford to lose.

I usually try to keep my bets low enough so that if I lose, I don't lose that much.

I know I don't have anyone to blame but myself.

I am also a student, and I really can't afford to lose like that.

All the moralizing aside, it would be nice if someone out there can give me some bitcoins.

Here is my bitcoin address: thanx

I would recommend to stay away from Private Internet Access.
Their software didn't work on my PC, the support just copies and pastes its answers, and my refund is now taking about half a week now.

What do you mean by "their software"?

OpenVPN is open source, plenty of clients out there, the same for the other protocols.
