5301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the biggest mistake you've made on crypto? on: January 02, 2021, 04:19:26 AM
I had lots of mistakes in cryptocurrency trading, many times due to investments turned into scams or yet dumped hard but out of all of those one thing that I regret the most is selling some airdrops or bounty tokens that have so much in value but I once sold is considered done. I've always have regrets on these past events about it. Keep reminiscing what if I didn't sell I have tons of money now or those I hold that I should have sold before.
5302  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: NEW Abbreviation on: January 02, 2021, 03:00:54 AM
The new abbreviation NATH will make it quicker when texting and posting because
lets face it we will be writing it a lot from here on in!

Actually that's a good term to remember, Nath is a cool sound to be used of. Maybe some crupto linguistic will find this appropriate, since the purpose of abbreviation is too shorter the context of the idea. If many uses this new term its likely be a norm that the community will follow.

You are right, we are increasingly unable to say the right ATH at the time that bitcoin bombardment continues  Grin
yesterday ATH, a week later ATH again, eh ATH again  Grin

Thats really an amazing event but quite worrisome too cause we don't know when bitcoin will start it's retracement.

5303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dydx airdrop! on: January 01, 2021, 12:05:31 PM
I've had tokens from uniswap and 1inch airdrop. I've see the video and indeed they already hitting up a hint of an airdrop. Don't expect much value but surely it can give us reward. The process of trading is quite different from uniswap and 1inch so some might not want to try their chance. Anyway I'm gonna try some trades on this too.

Wouldn't hurt some gas if there is a sure free tokens. Also got the tokenlon tokens too since they announced it. But hearing some clues from dydx team then an airdrop it is.
5304  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What Type/Kind of Trading Style is the Best and why on: January 01, 2021, 11:19:50 AM
In recent times I have understand that most beginner traders don't know the kind of trader they're. Either
1. Scalper
2. Day trader
3. Swing Trader
4. Position Trader.

Which of these trading methods/style is the best (that you use), and you can recommend and why.
Different perspective. I usually do scalping and position trading.

For major alts I've always positioned my orders but for some quick gains I've prefer shitcoins for some scalping within a shorter period of time. Position trade is quite unsure but if you can buy on a good entry price with a decent quantity then that's definitely a sure profit.

But if you think about the difference like scalping, swing and day trading its almost identical to purpose aside from the positioned trade.
5305  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: End of 2020 Welcome Year 2021 on: January 01, 2021, 05:19:09 AM
You can also include the boom and era of decentralized governance tokens which sprout and started from uniswap. Decentralized finance seems to be accelerating as many of those others dex have been follow footstep.

It seems this thread is a collection of events that really been talk of the town these days. Well I am overwhelmed with Bitcoin ATH and launched of eth2.
5306  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are your plans in the year 2021 on: January 01, 2021, 03:53:11 AM
My goals on 2021

  • Continue helping and contributing more in forum.
  • Increase my knowledge and skills related to blockchain and cryptocurrency.
  • Earn 3 to 5 btc on trading
  • Triple my current portfolio
  • Discovered new tokens or coins that will be gem in the future

Hoping 2021 will be on my odds this time.
5307  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading options on: December 31, 2020, 02:02:16 PM
It's also available on desktop mode. Actually the desktop version is much good and the app is also working perfectly too.

I have my suspicions about it being very one-sided and even rigged by the house.
What you mean got rigged? Binance is somehow suspicious but they are always being used by most users. The only con I dont like is they often got error and glitches when the exchange is fully used due to hard pump.
5308  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why twitter account suspended mostly on: December 31, 2020, 09:17:00 AM
Most of my friends that did bounty task or mostly spamming ICO project related through bounty are most prone to ban. I've been doing it before and my first account was indeed got banned. Anyway I learned my lesson and dont do anymore those quite spammy tweets and retweets.

The only thing Twitter might be reason is this. Or your account has been flagged spammed and reported by other users.
5309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the point of so many cryptocurrencies? on: December 31, 2020, 03:07:12 AM
why then do we need them all instead of focusing that energy on one and makes it a success. 99% of the other cryptocurrency are worthless and only valuable through trading.
Some traders like to gain from profits. I dont know but that one criteria of crypto that can't be compared to stocks. Since they have use cases and represent their company, however some of the crypto tokens made only for the purpose of making money. Well, that's one part we cant possibly denied and always be a down side of this industry. However, decentralized aspect should stay as it is. Just avoid those and patronized a true projects with real use cases and help.
5310  Other / Meta / Re: Wish the forum a safe and a prosperous 2021. on: December 31, 2020, 02:12:40 AM
Hopefully we are always stay safe and theymos will add 2FA in 2021 so our bitcointalk account will be more "safe" as well  Cheesy
Haha that would be good too but I doubt theymos will add it.

For the news outside forum 2020 is one of the worst due to covid related and some unfortunate events happened worldwide. But for the crypto industry its one of the celebrating moment due to bull run season.

Happy New Year to everyone may all have prosperous and blessed year to come.
5311  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: SEC Knocking on a projects door means the end? on: December 30, 2020, 09:59:14 AM
Whenever SEC goes after a crypto project will the project die? I'm seeing what's currently happening to XRP due to lawsuit and I want to know if all the projects that the SEC hunted for in the past died? If yes can you mention one or two projects? Thank you
Not really. Project should not be scared when undergone investigation from SEC. They are known to be strict since crypto industry have been swarmed by useless projects. Xrp is an example, it doesn't mean that they will die instantly, chances of being cleared will still be open for discussion.

but that will likely depend on how much money they have to pay the SEC. I’m guessing the cost will be around a billion dollars but we’ll see.
Is this money considered a fine or what? Billion dollar is big but with their huge firm, for the sake of investors trusted them, they should settled this and answers all filed case against them. Not so easy to release money for such cause but that's how politics involved.
5312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the benefits of buying XRP at present? on: December 30, 2020, 08:49:00 AM
Well. obviously buying Ripple (XRP) at this time will surely be a profit for you when Ripple (XRP) price will start to pump since it is in the most dip price now.
If they can win on the SEC case. Buying xrp now is likely will be a big gamble. Those who will buy will likely lose if the Ripple company wouldn't be able to escape the SEC against their platform. But if they can trumph, the delisting of many exchanges will be nothing and go back to the same routine where xrp could be traded again and if lucky reach the ATH once more.
5313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: eth 2.0 is this the end of bitcoin? on: December 30, 2020, 03:49:36 AM
Lots of projects do try their best on dethroning Bitcoin in the spot but its already a decade they do still able to fail to do so.
Yes I agree but none can literally get close to its volume and marketcap. I can see ethereum as next contender or the one that could pulled off but with eth 2.0? Is really that they confident enough to surpass what bitcoin achieved in terms of popularity? Maybe it is being used for how many countries. But in terms of tech, eth2 could really change the system. Anyway I am more bullish on eth2 than bitcoin but still I hold some of those two major giants and will still holding in the future.
5314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What people swapping their XRP investment for. on: December 30, 2020, 01:19:44 AM
There are so many fishes on the ocean why settle for something that will collapse soon. For those who got rekt, that's part of trading they must cut their losses unless there is a miracle happened here and ripple win this case against sec. Surely there will be a massive buybqck when this happened. But most will fall on panic selling with such delisting happening on different exchange is quite a really worry some feeling.

Cardano and polkadot are both good alternative but I'm thinking on staying on eth instead.
5315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP Price Dives After SEC Files Charges on: December 30, 2020, 12:37:30 AM
I do hope Ripple will win the case, they should use their financial power to hire the best lawyers to defend themselves. If Ripple falls then so many other crypto will be next but I think the SEC must be very sure they will be able to prove it to a judge that XRP is classed as a security otherwise they would never have served legal papers.
Thats true. Not being bias here but if SEC win against this project then there is a chance other will be easily be shut down too. A huge project being taken care of is like a bad scene for us cause for crypto enthusiast this means that other lower tier project can be put on check and close immediately.

After coinbase then next is Bittrex announcement.

https://twitter.com/BittrexExchange/status/1344056304617177089?s=19

Like I said it will be follow through. Possibly Binance and other majors are gonna follow soon.
5316  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Project Covid-19 : An approach to support the Bitcoin community on: December 29, 2020, 10:33:40 AM

Asking for crwth and cryptoadditchie for vouch as they know me personally.

Hi royse777, cabalism13 pm me and I asked the details of the person who are in dire need of money. I am vouching for this guy as I've known cabalism13 for a long time. I think this charity can lend him some support.

@cabalism13, I suggest that you post all necessary info regarding the illness and the specific situation of the person so everyone could see it. Hope this charity can help you out too. (Also you can get from the bitcoin charity of your thread too)
5317  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie seeking for a answer on: December 29, 2020, 08:23:39 AM
checked his profile and it says founder instead of legendary member or hero members like others, if he is the founder then I can easily add this to one of my reasons why this is the best place for crypto new comers to be.
You could say that it's his privilege being the founder having a tagged of "founder" than commoners like legendary and hero member someone should be an exemption. Even up to now, that he isn't not active anymore, the title Founder should remain known and must be known to many. Cause literally he is the Founder of digital crupto currency since he started bitcoin.
5318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance Official Giveaway on: December 29, 2020, 03:30:48 AM
So in the official giveaway, there are no deposits whatsoever, so if you by chance encounter and see a Binance giveaway but asking for deposit, then for sure its fake.
Binance giveway rarely asking for deposits or any form of asking money. They usually post many kind of giveaway on their twitter and this is one of the biggest reward. Already joined it and CZ will probably looking to top most crypto goals.

But thanks for the post and reminding people here. If there are fakes one that will post and gonna show an address for receiving. Put it on scam thread accusation for exposure of those scammer's exploit.
5319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP Price Dives After SEC Files Charges on: December 28, 2020, 11:20:30 PM
looks like that Coinbase is pulling the plug on XRP. This will definitely hurt it more also just now XRP had a 8% dip going down to just a 25 cents and could possibly go down even more
Now this is the start, since coinbase pulled this news already I'm pretty sure big exchanges will follow. Sorry but I think xrp investors are gonna bleed more on the coming days. Panic sellers gonna panic more, and whales are gonna throw a lot their hold xrp. Too bad If this happened I think some major coins may pump since people and whales from xrp are gonna jump to a new course leaving it dead. I assume ripple will sink slowly after being delisted one by one.
5320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 40,796,131,214,802,500,000 COVER and Binance Delist on: December 28, 2020, 01:21:56 PM
From safe2 and cover protocol it seems this project have heavily been used for scam activity. I dont know why a project with a good reputation that has been listed by binance has been compromised by a stupid function of minting tokens. I dont know how the team will cover this up and pay the investors that has been bleed by draining the liquidity. People behind this must be find and prosecuted.
