Personal experience is much more important. When I first heard about bitcoin 6-7 years ago, I didn't take it seriously. When I finally got involved and got my first bitcoins, instead of saving them, I wasted them on nonsense. When the price of bitcoin grew very much, I realized my mistake and started over. After that, the price of bitcoin repeatedly had a big rise and a big drop, but I never repeated my mistake. I know from experience that when the market goes down, it's the best time to buy more bitcoin and to hold. After every drop in value, there is always growth and so it has been for 10 years  |

It's amazing how far this journey has gone, it's been 8 months and i eared another 1000 merit , seems like my average merit is 500 every 4 months, or 125 merit a month, most certainly not the best out there , but this should prove that ranking up is fairly easy if you actually contribute to the forum.
I am now in top 15 most merited members of all time, in less than a year of actually being active on forum , I do take the forum very seriously , I enjoy teaching other members about the stuff I know the most , and this makes life much more easier for me here, and I see no reason why wouldn't anyone rank to hero or legendary in a year time, really "If I can do it, anyone can".
When I check my infamous merit post, I am always shocked on how much road I have travelled in the forum, and how everything changed with my firs serious post (a guide on running a BTC node, back in Jan 18). But this is only the result of commitment that users like you, like us, put in the community. Not everyone can do the same (time is scarce, natural inclinations or other respectable reasons), but It's a nice thing to look back in the path and see how much we have travelled. This is the only way to continue walking in the same direction, as I feel the more I go down that path, the more I want to walk.. Both of you are great members on this forum, always ready to help and support others and you can be inspiration for young members that everything is possible even if you joined late. It really doesn't matter who joined when but what they can provide and give to others. Mikeywith, if you didn't follow this forum only as a guest in the beginning, you would probably be legendary by now, but you did not let this fact discourage you and you set a great example to others. If I remember well, fillippone also became merit source recently? Congratulation to both of you! |

ac milan was a top team , not long time ago .
It will take a long time for a very long time. If I can remember correctly in the last 5 years they got around -500m € as lost. So it will not be easy for them to recover this lost and then rebuild, it will take at least 5 more years to start to do something. AC Milan is in a similar position to Man Utd, both European heavyweights with a rich, illustrious history but currently in a big transitional period. They’ll both be back though, I’m sure of it. Both clubs have the same problem, their owners. When you have owners more interesting in business and profit and less in sport results than usually results are bad and club suffer. I'm not optimistic that results of Milan and ManU can improve with current owners because they don't have vision and knowledge how to run sport club and I don'tthink they even care. Bolan and Maldini trying their best in Milan but in modern sport you can't do much without money, a lot money. It's obvious that owners don't want to invest in players, they only care about profit. |

I really would like to see Kosovo in Euro 2020. Reaching it with first attempt would be amazing for this country. For example, Finland reached major tournament after more than 30 attempts! And opponents that they will face - North Macedonia and Georgia/Belarus is their level teams. Can Scotland reach first major tournament since 1998? No chance I think. Serbia is big favorites there. In group B it's impossible to predict something, because level of teams is ballanced here. I see Iceland as clear favorites in Pot A as well. They are a very healthy nation. Physically a very strong nation. I have always preferred hard work ethics over pure talent. It is not a coincidence that some of the strongest men in the world are from Iceland. Even their women look strong and healthy. I respect them a lot because they told McDonalds to fcuk off you are not going to poison our children anymore.
I agree with you. Maybe Iceland don't play prettiest football, but you simply can't love this nation. And opponents in their group is mediacore teams without any significant achievements in last few decades. Kosovo is very good team and they have very good chance to play in EURO 2020. Their main problem is that they lost some very good players because they are playing for other nations like Switzerland, Albania etc. With all this players they could build very strong team but still they have chance. Serbia have very difficult match in Oslo with Norway and I don't think they will pass. |

^The strong nation connection of Iceland as you’ve mentioned is THE thing why I’m supporting them to get to the Euro2020
They are as one and it’s simply beautiful
It is hard not to like Iceland, they are descendants of Vikings after all  They have population of something around 330k people, and yet they managed to reach Euro 2016 and WC 2018, and on top of that they were smallest nation (population wise) to ever participate in WC. It is something that us Croats can relate too, as we are successful in various sports despite being "small nation". Those that watched Iceland games probably noticed this awesome chant by their fans https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_cwcTNGp3UI think everybody like their fans and enjoy their chant 😁 They are small nation with great spirit and hearth like Croatia 😀 In fact, only reason why they didn't attend WC already in 2014 is because Croatia stoped them. They did very well in Euro 2016 but one of the reason was that format of the competition changed so weaker teams had more chance to achieve good results. |

I'm glad to see that "permanent" ban wasn't permanent for some users and that they got "second " chance in this forum, usually with signature ban.
I just feel sorry that after we fight 7-8 months for user Regulushr (and whole local community gave him support ) he didn't get another chance in this forum.
It's not clear to me why some users receive forgivness and second chance and some don't.
Can admins help us to understand?

At the point Mourinho was sacked, him managing Spurs was not predictable. They reached the final of the champions league and secured a top-four spot although they had a shaky finish to the EPL. In the vein, the club Pochetino manages next would be totally unexpected. Teams like PSG, Barcelona and Bayern could be available at some points this season or during the next summer break. I wouldn't rule out the possibility of Arsenal being his next destination. I don't think that he would be able to manage a top club such as PSG or Barca. Indeed he did great last season, reaching the final but he didn't get any title with Tottenham, which is what really matters for a manager. I don't agree with you. He is great coach and did great things with Tottenham. But, he couldn't do beter because owners didn't want to invest in new players but only in new stadium. It's miracle how much he without any financial support. He is one of the best coach in the world right now but he couldn't do more with Tottenham because of luck of financial support and fact that right now we have very strong competition in England, Liverpool, Manchester City... |

good news, I think Croatia is the first country in Europe to implement that policy. so that the post office can be a place for the development of cryptocurrency. I hope the government there will support it.  The amount of people who read nothing but the headlines is amazing, and also those who do not understand the basics. You fall into both categories. Croatia is not first in Europe : The Croatian Post is owned by the state, the government has approved this project unless you think that the post staff are doing something on their own  I also didn’t know, when I started this topic, that we already have similar examples in Europe. Every such project is great for mass adoption of crypto and we should support. Any way, we can't say that Croatian government directly support crypto but they allowed crypto exchange in the state owned Croatian post and it's already a lot. If this project became sucesfull in Zadar, many other post offices in Croatia will offer such service and it will be very good promotion for crypto in whole country. |

So I was only 2 weeks (14 activity) away from becoming Hero Member when theymos introduced merit system. It was like someone reset my downloading progress from 99% to 50%. It happened to many people. Thank you for not complaining and demanding the rules change! Great work mate! I don't have a clue at which rank I'd be today if the Merit system hadn't been introduced, but to be frank, I haven't really felt unhappy about the fact that I didn't rank up automatically. It really feels like ages since the Merit introduction. I do remember that the whining in the Meta boards at that time was horribly annoying. Looking at myself, if I'm totally honest, I believe that my devotion to the forum has only evolved in a positive way, thanks to the Merit system. No doubt the quality of my posts has gone up, because you think twice before posting just anything - but also because of the fact that my knowledge has expanded thanks to the posts of the many other members on the forum. At the same time, I've become more severe for shitposters, because I'm also trying to be more severe for my own posts. Before I had my doubts about merit system and felt it's unfair to the new members on the forum. It's obvious that before merits it was much more easy to achieve high ranks in the forum, simple based on the activity and quality was less important When I read your opinions here I feel I was wrong. Merits system improveda quality on this forum and new members trying their best to write quality and good posts. Congratulation to all new members for their hard work and accomplishment. |

Yes he has been appointed manager of Tottenham so this thread has met the end So this is really funny. Didn't Mourinho 2015 say he would never run a club like Tottenham and now he has become their new coach 😁😁 He may have become desperate after being out of work for a year and all other options have failed. I still think that his time passed and don't think he will stay long in Tottenham. His ideas are outdated and he can't give anything new to Tottenham. I'm sure that he will not get a lot money for new players, like in ManU or Real 😀😀 |

I have certain standards and criterion for merits I share and I just didn't find that your post reached that standard. Sorry about that. I want to help newbie and jr members with merits here but it's not unconditional. Every merit source have responsibility to reward really good quality posts and I'm trying my best to fulfil this big responsibility I received. Hope you can understand and accept it. |

If the model allows bitcoin to be used in post offices in Croatia successfully, it is possible that countries in Europe will learn. This is also a free and effective way of promoting Blockchain technology and other cryptocurrency projects.
I have to correct you here. This project or model will not allow users to use bitcoin in order to pay for other services in the post office. If someone wants to buy something in the post office or pay some bill for example, first user have to exchange btc to fiat and after that use fiat to pay for something. Of course, it's still great promotion for crypto in Croatia and great step toward mass adoption. |
