Good idea for a poll.
But the voting options are not comprehensive.
"My life is relatively the same. My relationships are just as they were, and I have neither profited nor lost money."
What if the first part is correct, but I have profited/lost money?

Seriously not getting what she wants with this... Will the coin even be tradeable? Or she just prices it however she wants? Why not just accept BTC for her artworks?
This is more like a publicity stunt, using the cryptocurrency hype train...
I don't get that either. Apparently she's trying to do some sort of pre-sale. The whole project seems very poorly organised imo. They also have own thread on this forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=951783.0

What is this research for?
What are the requirements for participants? Does one qualify if he's only dealing with tiny fractions of bitcoin? What kind of people are you looking for?

What is BitchCoin?
BitchCoin is a digital currency backed by the photography of Sarah Meyohas at a fixed exchange rate of 1 BitchCoin to 25 square inches of photographic print. This rate of exchange will not change, even if the value of the photography increases. As her work changes in value over time, so will the relative value of BitchCoin.
1 coin backed by 25 sq inches of print. Sounds great but if you can create as many print outs of any photograph, that means that this 'backing' is not very solid. What guarantee do I have regarding this 'backing'? Has Sarah signed any legally binding obligation? Each time she makes any photograph a new coins will be issued? How do I redeem 1 coin for photo print? What are the specs of this coin (who will keep the network going)? This looks like a very poor execution of pretty interesting concept. Also, there's already 'BitchCoin': https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=790498.0Well done on getting some media attention tho: http://time.com/money/3703658/an-artist-mints-her-own-take-on-bitcoin/

http://time.com/money/3703658/an-artist-mints-her-own-take-on-bitcoin/Virtual currency like Bitcoin has captured the imagination of a lot of people, from techies to economists to drug dealers. Now, artists are riffing on the idea, and one is trying to use it to fund her work—and to raise some new questions about what makes both money and art precious.
Sarah Meyohas, a Wharton School of Business grad who is currently finishing up her MFA in Photography at Yale University, is launching her own digital currency, which she calls, cheekily, BitchCoin. (“If you’re a woman who is taking a stake in your future and aggressive, you’re a bitch,” says Meyohas.) Unlike Bitcoin, which is computer-generated by its users, BitchCoin represents a claim on a tangible asset, in this case Meyohas’ photographic prints. One virtual coin is supposed to correspond to 25 square inches of print. Each time Meyohas creates a coin, she’ll set aside a print in bank vault. Here's the link to her own crypto: http://www.bitchcoin.biz/

Probably just a speculation/artificial pump. There are no noticeable positive news to justify it.
Good to see price going up, but there's nothing to get excited about.
There doesn't have to be. Markets move on supply and demand and not much else. True. But from what I've read in other threads, there was some unusual increase in volume, which suggest it could have been more than simple demand>supply thing. Even if it was a pump, it could spark the 'natural' up movement. Thanks for sharing. Hope that's true.

... THE WINNERS: [22 + escrow]
... hkloss23 - 5+1 ...
Bit confused here, what does this "5+1" actually mean? Anyway, @Watoshi - thanks for coming back to get that sorted. Not sure if needed, but my SD deposit address (for hkloss23) is: 1KuZ16HpTg6drdUbeNot6v7cKrPzQdQ4rE

There was something about a major poker site which is getting ready to accept btc. If they lead the way, gambling could be huge for btc....
But who knows?
Which site? Where did you see that news? But if true, I don't think it would be that big to cause price rise. Accepting BTC along fiat is not that big of a deal, good for promoting bitcoin but wouldn't create a demand for it.

ShapeShift.io's Lens tool is now available as a Firefox add-on. Lens is a browser extension that allows users to pay any Bitcoin address with over a dozen different altcoins. Once the payment has been submitted, Lens instantly converts the user's altcoin to make the payment to the online merchant/vendor. Check it out here: shapeshift.io/lens.htmlSounds good. I'll give it a try later. Is this exchange decentralized?
Nope. But it's automated and doesn't require you to register and provide any personal info.

What are the pros and cons for Bitcoin Debit Cards? Im trying to make a information page, if you want to assist drop some useful information I should add.
Pros - you have ability to pay pretty much everywhere with the funds not tied to your current bank account. Can be a lifesaver if something goes wrong with your bank account. Also your bank doesn't see your every purchase. Cons - Fees. Trust, you have to deposit your bitcoins with the 3rd party.

... For example there is supposedly a European Union president, but does anyone even know his name? I don't.
No one knows. because there's no such thing as one EU president. There are presidents of EU council/commission/parliament, those positions doesn't come with any real power. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/President_of_the_European_Union

Funds will be distributed as the OP select the winners.
Has he agreed to select/draw the giveaway winners himself? Coz few days back he asked you to do it. Giveaway will be made to the SafeDice address. No wager or anything applicable. You can withdraw it or wager to win that #1 prize.
How will you transfer funds to SD accounts? Do you need deposit addresses for each participant, or will you send it out as tips through chat (you'd need to register on SD for that)?

What makes Nakamoto's even more exciting - and the factor that might draw more people - is the pricing of their products. Everyone can get a 10% discount for all items if you are paying in Bitcoin. The store can give offers like this because of its affiliation with Purse.io. 10% off is pretty genuine offer. But is it honestly the first retail store in SF that accepts bitcoins? Coinmap shows quite a lot of businesses in SF... It's not the first store that accepts bitcoins. It's the first store that ONLY accepts bitcoin. If you don't have bitcoin they'll make you convert dollars to bitcoins so you can complete a purchase. Thats what I thought at first, but then the whole 10% when paying with BTC won't make any sense. If you cannot pay with fiat, how can you get 10% discount when paying with BTC? If everyone gets 10% off, then it's not a discount, it's just prices being low.

nice new auto roll!! also please in stead of increasing on loss with odds make it with % it will be easier for us I could change it to that. I just thought it was easier to write 2x instead of 100% etc? If the majority of people want it changed then let me know and I will. Thanks Nah, I'd say leave it as it is. Changing to % would require additional wording/explanation. i.e. "multiply by 100%" (if taken literally) has no effect if the base is BTC1 (1x1=1), doubles the base if it's BTC2 (2x2=4) and actually reduces the base if < BTC1 (i.e. 0.1x0.1=0.01).

Why did it get cancelled?
According to article: The event was canceled due to a failure of the Dominican hosts to provide the support that was promised to The Bit Drop. The organization has not totally given up hope on its project yet, though, and is working to come up with a solution that will allow them to resume the project at a later date. Hopefully they'll get all the organisational issues sorted and will make the drop at later date.

How is this suppose to affect their signature campaign? Anyone receiving payments to their bit-x account should immediately withdraw to an address they 100% control the private keys to. 2FA is a new feature for their service, not their sig deal
Yup, but to register/access your bit-x account (to withdraw your sig camp earnings), currently you have to submit your phone number (for verification). Some people wouldn't join the campaign because of that.
