I mean, if you do a good job of securing your accounts (2FA, etc) should you really be that worried that an exchange could get hacked? I use Binance, by the way.
You use Binance and I know you have the feeling that it's one of the best exchanges, which is correct by the way,  but news flash is that even Binance is not unsusceptible to cryptocurrency hacks on exchanges. And another tiny piece of information is that when your funds are on an exchange, securing your accounts isn't the issue, as you're not in total control of your funds, so once the exchange has been breached by hackers, there is a high chance you will lose your funds to them.
5322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: February 17, 2020, 04:10:15 PM
Will atletico quench Liverpool and edge out a win?
This is the match I'll be watching tomorrow, Diego simeone and athletico know how to play a very tight game, with little chances and few goals and I think that's how tomorrow's game is going to be(both legs even). It's almost impossible to pick who's going to qualify at the end of the tie, but whoever will go through, will do so with the tightest of margins.
Will exciting Dortmund oust psg away from the champions league?
PSG will go through for me, both legs would be easy for them, Dortmund are not an easy side, but I'm sure PSG would be too powerful a force for them to eliminate.
5323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Scammers behind HomeBlockCoin, CryptoAdSolution, Pagarex and other ICO's on: February 17, 2020, 06:06:50 AM
I lost too much money on this shits. I lost money on their scams, i lost money on their lies, i lost my network because of their shits. I lost too much also on consulting lawyer agencies...
How do you even trust them enough as to invest, I wouldn't say it's surprising that people still invest in ICO's, it is Infact unbelievable, if it were to be early in the days, you could be caught in two minds as there were the good and bad ones, but right now, everyone is in the know(no one can claim not to be)that they have all been created to swindle your money away, but the conundrum now is, despite this "Epic" revelation, why are users investing nonetheless.
Jinbi was a very organized scam project. It was one of those projects you could hardly believe it will be a scam.
I am not used to giving the scammers credit, was the project  organized so perfectly or were the investors just so "blind" they could not tell what the obvious culmination will be(getting scammed).
5324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 16, 2020, 06:07:33 PM
Spurs won, yeah, thats three points for them and it's three really important points but this lucky wins against lower teams isn't the reason why he was signed as manager. Mou loves to win in whichever way possible, but I am sure spurs fans are used to playing the "champagne" way; I don't know how pleased they will be with this new pattern.
Pepe makes it 2. Dude's confidence keeps growing.
Arteta has rejuvenated him, he now has more confidence, playing more games and having telling contributions, I'll love to see if carries this form into next season, when Arteta would start as manager from day 1.
5325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First petition to lift CryptoCurrency Ban in Pakistan- your suggestions needed on: February 16, 2020, 04:35:09 PM
It's good to be honest with ourselves, we can write petitions all we want but in the end the government does what they so desire, it's very possible that this petition wouldn't even get to those in power(the decision makers).

The common man in a centralized system, doesn't really have a say in the affairs/decisions of the government, they make their decisions mostly in an arbitrary manner, I want this ban to be lifted, but I do not know if i(we)can do anything about it.
5326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gaming Industry and Cryptocurrency! on: February 16, 2020, 03:36:34 PM
The only problem that I see here is that a lot of kids are exposed to gaming industry as well as cryptocurrencies and that might cause certain problems and addiction too.
The "gaming" industry has existed even before cryptocurrencies, so as for the issue of addiction, some people(the young and old)have always been game addicts, so it didn't just start now, nor is it due to cryptocurrency affiliation, it's in people's nature to be addicted to what they love doing and playing games is one of them.
However, gaming industry remains one of the best promotors of cryptocurrencies.
It's impossible to contest this statement, the two industries looks to blend seamless, people all over the world love to play games, advertising through that means is a perfect way of promulagating cryptocurrency.
5327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 16, 2020, 01:49:49 PM
Kane has not recovered yet but it seems without him Tottenham was able to manage two straight wins from last two matches and one of them was against City.
Mourinho is one manager who doesn't really depend on a particular player, Harry Kane is an indispensable "talent" for spurs, but Mou being the tactician that he is, can and has coped in his absence. Mou loves to do the unexpected, I'm sure even if Kane was fit, Mou would have had tactical tweaks that would have kept him on the bench for few games.
Mikel Arteta is not good enough in his coaching unlike Lampard is good enough after becoming a Chelsea manager.
I know the game isn't patient with managers anymore, even those who have done so well with their clubs, face a sack the minute they start having real bad days. Arteta hasn't been the perfect manager thus far, but did anyone expect him to perform any magic? Arteta would not be judged, at least till the end of next season. This young managers need time.
5328  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coronavirus Phishing Warning on: February 16, 2020, 12:32:31 PM
All the symptoms, possible cure, safety/prevention methods for the corona virus are all online, it wouldn't even take a second to just research about it, email and password verification is ironically even a longer process to get information on the virus. it's really idiotic and ridiculous to give such information out on a subject that has gathered so much popularity and with all safety measures being made public on various platforms: news, internet, schools, billboards etc
5329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 15, 2020, 08:17:23 PM
Tonight Champion's League spot match between Roma and Atalanta, 2 contenders for the Champions League final spot.
It's goaless at the moment now, and it's in favor of Atalanta, as if it ends in a draw, they will be there points clear of Roma and though it's not too much of a gap, but it's a lead and something for them to hold on to.
Sad news for CR7 fans, he has not been called for the match for tomorrow, he will stay at home and rest.
Even though Juve fans mostly come out to watch Ronaldo, it's not so much of a sad news since I think he's been rested for the UCL which is their top priority.
5330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 15, 2020, 04:37:11 PM
He should have started thinking about lifting a suitcase from City and heading to his home at Barcelona. What do you think, friend?

That has been my suggestion right from the onset, Pep ideology isn't impacting the team any longer therefore there isn't any need for him to stay at Manchester city for another season irrespective of the ban or not and obviously the ban will motivate his departure.
The ban yes, could well and truly mean city losing pep Guardiola and maybe even one or two key players, but don't you think people are too quick to forget about the good things pep has done in the last two seasons, he has had two terrific and superb past two seasons with city, and yes they have really messed up this season, it's still too early to say his ideology no longer works, pep is a fighter and he can always bounce back, this season could even still end in a not so terrible note for them.

There are a lot of uncertainties right now, especially due to this ban, what's next for city, what if their appeal fails, this is enough to keep city on the backfoot for seasons to come, it's a real psychological blow for them. Will pep leave, will city splash the cash this summer, etc etc.
5331  Other / Meta / Re: Do we need merit sources for low ranks? on: February 15, 2020, 02:58:30 PM
Spending smerits must be followed by normal users as well and shouldn't be limited to merit sources which isn't happening for majority of the time.
This point is really important. Since the introduction of merit sources, some users see it as just their job and theirs alone to give out smerits, so they hoard their smerits for no reason, and even if they are to come in sight with posts that even they themselves know is "up there" and needs to be merited, they do nothing, waiting for the merit sources to "come do their job". It's wrong, and I'm also thinking that if every user spent their smerits, no hoarding whatsoever, complaints would not arise and the duty of sources wouldn't even have to come under close scrutiny.

Theymos says he reserves the right to decay unused smerits in the future, that will be a really interesting implementation, it may encourage users to do more with their smerits, it would even deter those who sell merits from hoarding it for a long time to sell them eventually, so they do not lose it. Decaying hoarded smerits is what I suggest in addition to whatever has been said to improve the system.
5332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facts about bounties on: February 15, 2020, 02:00:34 PM
Remember that even good projects that looks promising can still fail but here is what I want you to hold on to, a single bounty project can cover for all your losses, what I meant is 1 project can give you biggest profits even when you've promoted 10 projects that gives nothing, this is why its called BOUNTY.
So rather than maybe try to build an account on the forum and try participating in Btc bounties, or get something like a job in real life that you'll be rest assured you will get paid as at when due, you expect a user to keep trying bounties in the hope that someday one will pay them, that's a limited mindset imo, users should know they can do better than that. Even if you get paid, those tokens go to zero in no time.

And FYI, if you just keep trying out bounties alone, envisioning the forum as an "ATM machine" to make money, you will never have a decent account nor will you grow in rank.
5333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin season, scam altcoin projects will appear. Check their Githubs first on: February 15, 2020, 01:41:15 PM
  • They are pump/ dump coins. You will mostly buy at peaks and sell at bottoms or at worst, can not sell them when price falls to zero.
Many of those users who invest in this archetypal pump and dump coins have so much more of them in their wallet, the ones that have reached rock bottom and they are waiting for a miraculous rise for them to sell them off, and also many that aren't even trading at all on any exchange, no one is buying, just sell orders. But they are still more than ready to jump into either investing in the latest ICO or carrying out tasks for them.
We have seen lately how the whole scam scene have been change by these crooks to get newborn investors trap into their project.
This projects aren't "traping" investors, imo, it's their greed and nonchalant attitude to follow the right process that ends up with them being trapped with zero value altcoins.
5334  Other / Meta / Re: fraudulent user hijacking my account on: February 15, 2020, 01:12:02 PM
Am I not allowed to post on multiple parts of the forum? My only purpose here is to set the record straight about my identity .
You're allowed to do so, but if the account you say was stolen from you is the one posted by @Last of the V8s, then that account has done nothing on the forum in over two years, so out of curiosity, where exactly are you being impersonated, and your business name being stolen, somewhere else other than the forum or not on that account?
5335  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Use Discord with caution on: February 15, 2020, 12:10:37 PM
If your friend had previously conducted business with the original Amazon gift card seller, then your friend should have previous chats of businesses conducted earlier, so a new chat should have been a red flag.
I also know it's possible for one to change usernames on those networks, but I don't think it's possible to change it to already used usernames, so I don't know how the impersonation worked.
5336  Other / Meta / Re: Account Recovery on: February 15, 2020, 10:52:52 AM
...participating in different bounty programs. And suddenly one day his account was banned by some moderator. Now he want to know if there is any way to restore his account?...
If what your "friend" got was a permanent ban(not being nuked/temp ban), then there is no way the account can be restored back, there have been few users who regained custody of their accounts after they had been banned, but they were more of positive members of the forum and maybe one or two weird cases of a user being banned erroneously, but if your "friend" was only but a bounty hunter as you said and nothing more, then I think his fate is settled.
But please clarify one more thing is that either participating in bounty promotions is prohibited or not?
You should ask your "friend" if he has at sometime copied or plagiarised anothers work, that's the most likely reason for the ban, not bounty hunting.(I just hope you're not your friend)
5337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 13, 2020, 04:34:16 PM
Leicester and Chelsea both have lost their form they were in first stage of PL. It is hard to say if they will be able to continue if they maintain the same from throughout in the remainder of PL.
I don't see Leicester City missing out on next seasons champions league, they may not be in the same form as they were in the beginning of the season, but they just need a couple more wins and also considering the fact that the teams below them are also erratic, they should make it.

Chelsea and spurs for me will compete for fourth place, I am not giving united any chance, they'll be playing Europa league football next season for me. Chelsea should be careful of Mourinho's Spurs, they look like they would be able to usurp Chelsea for the fourth position if their good form continues. Liverpool have all but won the league, so it's now more like a top four battle between the other top teams.
5338  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The worst part about using cryptocurrencies, Newbies should be more careful. on: February 13, 2020, 03:35:12 PM
This is already happening. I noticed our Local board after the Yobit campaign ended becomes a ghost town leaving only real users and commoners there. Then after the market started to grow slowly, and now btc is above 10k. New names and users become active.
It beats my imagination how people even do this, if someone wants to earn by posting in this forum, then they should also be ready to post even when they are not actually earning as of then. The yobit campaign was a blessing to those ghost users, since they were accepted without any criteria, so they just go to sleep after such opportunities end as they are sure no BM would accept an inactive user.
There's someone that just posted that he has a friend that forgot the recovery phrases of his wallet that was installed on his smartphone. It's phenomenal that newbies should be aware of putting down the private keys somewhere secured and not open to others.
They make so many mistakes, I read about a newbie who send funds to a wrong address unknowingly, they need to forget about the bull run and concentrate on how to stay safe, or else even if they are successful making ROI in the bull run, they will still end up losing it.
5339  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to Separate Authentic Airdrops from Airdrop Scams on: February 13, 2020, 02:18:55 PM
At Freecoins24.io, we do all the research so you don’t have to! We only list authentic and trustworthy airdrops.
Quite a long post just to advertise your "Airdrop listing website", keep your service offer to the service section, if there is one thing beginners don't need, it's to start chasing after airdrops that will profit them nothing.
Establishments and governments have started to come down hard on ICOs, and it has created an environment where airdrops flourish.
This is not true.
5340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Resist all temptation to fomo on: February 13, 2020, 08:17:16 AM
Let investors do what they feel is right, they should know what decision making is all about, either to buy, sell, hodl or just do nothing, it becomes a habit during times like this when there's a supposed bull run for users to start giving advices and telling people what to do. What you may be advising against may even be a ticket to good ROI, enough with the don't do this and don't do that.
