5361  Economy / Gambling / Re: [POLL] Best Dice of 2015 on: December 12, 2015, 08:53:43 PM
I voted for Crypto-Games, I like the design of their website, that it doesn't require flash and that I can play dice with multiple crypto currencies.
The autobet function is also one of more decent ones out there.

I'm not just saying that because I have them in my signature, for other games I like Bitcoinvideocasino the most, but I'm not a big fan of their dice game.

5362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did anyone buy during $1200? on: December 12, 2015, 08:45:04 PM
Hey all, just as the title says, did anyone buy bitcoin when it's price was at it's peak ($1200)? And did they sell as it was dropping, or did they still hold on? I personally felt something was happening when it peaked :-/

So, back to the topic. Did anyone buy, and did they sell as it dropped? How much did they lose? Did you feel really really sad? What kind of an emotional impact did it have on you?
I bought and sold some Bitcoin throughout that whole period, but I made more than I lost. I bought a bunch when they were still at around a hundred dollars back in early 2013.
I do remember only buying very small amounts (Euro-wise) when it was at its peak. The bubble was too obvious, I knew it was going to drop after it hit $1000.

Still happy with the choices I made back then, and I expect another bubble pretty soon, though this is just pure speculation.
5363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In Gambling, Money is not everything on: December 12, 2015, 08:39:32 PM
What is the prime motto for your gambling.
Many people here are against considering gambling as a earning source. Without money, you will not be able to gamble.
Just for fun type of gamblers, only a demo account or a video game is more than enough.

Please share your ideas on role of money in gambling.

I think it's not a good idea in general to rely on gambling as your primary source of income. There are exceptions though, playing online poker professionally comes to mind.
I view gambling as something fun, but not in excess..
5364  Economy / Gambling / Re: Today's profit: $326 USD from 0.003 BTC. on: December 12, 2015, 08:36:32 PM
I was gambling on like 50 different sites today, thanks to rollin.io I made 0.6 BTC in a few bets :-)

Proof for the non believers

Goodnight & gamble safe hehe
Great winning streak you had there, congrats Smiley

I remember winning around 200 dollars playing with a no-deposit bonus, so it's definitely possible.
You just need some luck sometimes.
5365  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Budget: €200 - Which miner should I buy as a beginner? on: December 12, 2015, 06:19:05 PM
I'm new to Bitcoin mining and I was wondering which miners I should buy to get started?
I would have them shipped to Belgium, so if anyone from Europe could recommend a store that offers relatively cheap shipping, that would be nice.

I'm not expecting to make huge amounts of Bitcoins with this, it just seems really interesting to get started with.
An advantage that I have is 'free' solar power, with that in mind it might still be profitable?

Thanks for anyone willing to offer me any advice!
5366  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What's wrong with Genesis Mining? on: December 12, 2015, 06:10:23 PM
Hello there,

Been trying to access for a few hours and get the error:

www.genesis-mining.com - Connection failed
Error code 20
The proxy failed to connect to the web server, due to TCP connection timeout.

anyone having the same issue?

might it be a DDoS attack?

It never happened before with GM since I bought hashing power a few months ago.

It has been working fine for me all throughout the day, so I think it must have been something at your end.
Now that I think about it, I've never experienced any downtime with Genesis-Mining, and I've been a customer for about a year now.
5367  Economy / Economics / Re: Graphs: Bitcoin volatility surging again, but not quite at early November levels on: December 12, 2015, 06:07:59 PM
I'm liking this volatility, but whether it's good for Bitcoin as a currency has yet to be seen.
When it drops again I'm definitely re-buying a couple of BTC to sell at the next peak Smiley

Great times ahead, I think...
5368  Economy / Economics / Re: Could the fact that IS use bitcoin ruin bitcoin? (I hope BTC will ruin IS) on: December 12, 2015, 05:34:04 PM
This is just a story that the media made up and as usual, spread like wildfire. They have no proof of terrorists using bitcoin, and bitcoin is already regulated by international authority's accordingly.

I do not think so, I've read that IS also relies heavily on plain old cash transactions, which is somewhat comparable to using Bitcoin.
They probably make use of multiple different currencies and precious metals.

It is in fact already on the news, just saw this:

As expected, it was a matter of time that media would start reporting on Bitcoin being used to finance the terrorist attacks. If it's true or not it's another story, I don't think they know for a fact, they are just speculating.

How is bitcoin an income source?? Do they some massive mining operation back in Syria or Iraq, or do they receive Bitcoin through extortion or something like that?
I think if they did use bitcoin, they'd have their own eggheads whod work on day trading, or theyd just hodl. I don't think theyd have a mining operation, as i heard that Syria and Iraq have regular power shortages and cuts.
Now to be fair, it would surprise me if there was really no-one within the whole of IS used Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency.
But I do think that the usage of crypto within IS is negligible, as if they're selling oil and receiving payment in bitcoin  Roll Eyes Slim chance....

5369  Other / Off-topic / Re: If You Won A Million Dollars.. How Much Bitcoin Would You Buy? on: December 12, 2015, 04:54:15 PM
I would invest in more solar panels and start a semi-large scale mining operation, I think that would get me the best ROI.
I would probably also just buy some more Bitcoin with the money I have left.
5370  Other / Meta / Re: Just remove signatures already. As in delete, disable, gone. on: December 12, 2015, 03:12:02 PM
I personally kind of like the fact that I can post on this forum about something I enjoy, Bitcoin, while getting some pocket change for it.
Yes, while some people abuse it and spam short one sentence replies, others just see it as a nice bonus and do put effort in their posts and bring value to the forum.

I'm personally also not against recreational gambling from time to time, so I don't mind seeing all the gambling adverts, though I can see how this can be annoying to some people.

To me, the amount of freedom we get on this forum is one of its greatest features, and I personally try to respect that.
And I know that the campaign manager of my signature campaign takes post quality very serious, since we're representing their brand.
5371  Economy / Gambling / Re: What countries does primedice reject and why? on: December 12, 2015, 03:01:32 PM
It should be banned in Belgium, all online casino's have to have a physical presence in Belgium and a license to be available to Belgian customers.
The ones that do not comply get DNS blocked, I use Google DNS, so can't check myself.

I've received the payment Smiley
Thanks, I'm really happy with the post count too!

5374  Economy / Gambling / Re: List of Bitcoin casinos that offer games with a progressive jackpot on: December 12, 2015, 10:28:48 AM
Would it be a good idea to add a column with the highest progressive jackpots of each website?
Maybe also a column with any bonuses (like no-deposit bonusses), that might be a bit too much though...

Adding the progressive jackpot will be a bit complicated because the amount is always changing. So you need spend a lot of time to update it frequently.
But adding such kind of bonuses would be great and dont forget to give some details of it, like the wagering requirements etc.
I think I could manage updating it just once per week, that way it will stay somewhat accurate.
And yeah I'm now trying to gather all bonus information first, but things get a bit complicated with that, since there are usually multiple bonuses on each site...
5375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling on: December 12, 2015, 02:02:35 AM
I'm not one hundred percent sure of it, but I think it's dice at most online crypto gambling websites.
And online poker of course, but against other players, but dunno if that counts as a casino game.
5376  Economy / Economics / Re: How to earn money with bitcoin ? on: December 11, 2015, 11:01:13 PM
  • Signature campaign
  • Investing in gambling site
  • loans on forum or through btcjam
  • cloud mining (I recommend Genesis-mining, not saying it's profitable though)
  • Arbitrage
  • Just simply holding (especially in these times Wink )
  • Faucets (not worth it imo)
  • Selling digital or physical items on the forum or on your own website (wordpress has bitcoin e-commerce plugins)
  • Investing in altcoins (Choose wisely! Research!)
5377  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: December 11, 2015, 10:47:41 PM
In my opinion the price does matter, when you see a slow but steady increase, popularity among investors and regular people will rise undoubtedly.
Also, the fact that Bitcoin survived the big +$1000 bubble is a very positive sign.
5378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How have you helped spread the adoption of Bitcoin? on: December 11, 2015, 10:44:15 PM
I've given quite a bit of Bitcoins to friends and family, some still have theirs and others spent it on pizza or whatever Smiley
I also have a couple of articles about Bitcoin on my blog.

5380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How greedy you are ? on: December 11, 2015, 09:31:14 PM
I try not to be too greedy when gambling, just because I tend to do better then.
But sometimes you just have this winning streak and you have to go on and rake in the -temporary- profits.
