I was almost giving up on this thread. I have email notification on but I was thinking to disable it so that I do not need to receive the email notification of the same posts posted by users with argumens. Some are in favour of documenting the changes and some are against it. The conversation can keep going and the thread gets bumped and search engine keeps caching it.
Those users who changed their names for privacy reasons, are now not really feeling the same I guess. In this forum users are making thousands of topics a day, how many of them we all notice dispite all of them are public but if we pick one of these topics and highlight it in somewhere like it's done for usernames in this topic, then it's easily discoverable. This topic actually doing the job of destroying the intentions some of those users had as their reasons behind changing their names.
I am glad that theymos has spoken out. And since theymos involved in this conversation, I would like him to consider deleting the entire thread so that in futures any with bad deed at least do not find everything in one place (in this thread). There are differences in between looking all over the place to find something (which in some cases turns out impossible) and finding something in one place (documented) very easily.
Everyone has their own views of this proposal of deleting this enture thread, even people can say that deleting this topic will mean that theymos in implying his power of position to control the voice of the users but really shell we say thst? Privacy should be the first thing we should count here. And every users has this right to practice their privacy. if a forum inspired with bitcoin idiology can not ensure it then it's sad.

This warning comes up if a website starts to get unusual traffic. For security reason the hosting provider suspend an acciunt.it happens when someone has shared hosting account and I am guessing with OP the same happened.
He will have to contact the hosting provider and need to talk to them. They will give him some specific instructions to perform to lift up the suspension. I experienced the same with my hosting provider fewonthd ago.
I hope the site wil come back soon.

If I am too to give my feedback as my DT opinion then I will say the same. The user really needs to be booted from DT. They need a break and come back after they feel relaxed. Such a shame and very low attitude after all. PS: Let's be frank with you, I really do not want to judge you but here is something for your with the hope that you will work it out. I do enjoy your posts (wall of texts) but if you just focus on a little bit in the attitude things then you can make a good name around. Good post indeed. I think such attacking and openly blackmailing should not be an expected criteria for DT1 atleast.

For voting - maybe. For creating a flag - no. Scammed newbies need to be able to create flags. It would be nice to have a limit on how many flags they can create
When you (In this case it seems that the person is me) are drinking on a lazy day in the local pub and if you already have drunk a lot then slip of tongue (better to say fingers on the keys) like this (restricting to create flags) is acceptable. What I mean by this is that you have a valid point here and I have edited my last post after seeing your response :-) but on the other hand Bitcoin SV and other "advanced" sockpuppets are able to farm merits fairly easily so that wouldn't be much of an impediment for them anyway. True but as usual someone will spot it and will bring it to our attention. |

Did someone thought about the effect of this username changes on the other users trust lists who have included or excluded them ? Like trust list is organised by using the usernames of the accounts and not UID so even after username change the UID remains same and only the username would be changed. Most of the user's trust list would be up with one of the old username and all gets messed up.
The trust list in our trust setting page, takes the usernames but stores in the database using the userID (u). So changing username is not effecting anyone trust list. I had El duderino_ in my trust list when he had his previous username and I see it has been changed to El duderino_ without needing any touch from me. May be for scrappers like LoyceV, DdmrDdmr and others will find some difficulties with this username changes but with the system, I think we are really fine. That's not cool. I hope mods make an exception for asu otherwise he'll get banned for evasion if some asshole reports him.
Technically yes but practically it will be very wrong. Rules are made (al-thought we do not have any official rules) to protect the community not to use against it. If we act practical then I do not see any problem at all. |

I think it really boils down to the question of whether the forum’s administration wants to let such useless Sibyls lie dormant indefinitely, or clean them up as the trash they are. As a practical matter, I don’t have a strong opinion on which way they should handle this; but the question is worth broaching. I too have not much strong opinion but if I someone asks me while I am drinking in the pub on a nice evening with an intend to start a conversation with me then I would say, yeah put some restrictions (possibly allow a minimum rank) for users before they are able to create flags and also to vote. This will eliminate the brand new fake accounts to abuse with false support or oppose in a flag. |

I have never heard of this Eth Collectible but considering it is an ERC20 token from your description above. And in this case you just need an ETH address to send the tokens. However you will need to have some ETH in your counbase to pay the GAS price I guess.
It should not be something very hard to do. I am sure if you search in any search engine then you will find better answer. I am not a coinbase user nor good at knowing all the tokens too.
